Devil May Cry Olympus Titans Curse
ESKK: Well another new chapter for you readers. So let's get this party started.
(Start Quest Group)
After what seemed like a great deal of traveling the group had arrived at their next location which seemed to be a small town. The town, Cloudcroft New Mexico could easily pass as some sort of modern day western location. Regardless they had arrived and Dante was playing the role of legal guardian to help them get to their next destination. Of course Corvus had been making up for lost time after being gone for so long making quips and cackles every chance he got. Evan was have tempted to grab the Demon Bird and throw him across town for a moment of peace. That alone was a signal that Corvus was home with all his friends.
As they walked through town they started planning on their next move. They needed a way out of here and the only possible way was by car from the looks of it. Regardless they were currently stuck in this hick town that Evan and Calisto seemed oddly at peace in. IT was hard to explain but the small town quiet and attune with nature seemed to sooth the demon inside the twin Twi-Breeds. Though during the trip Evan began to realize Thalia hated the cold.
The town itself was a ski town and clearly it wasn't one for Demon or Angel attacks. For the group despite where they were, even in their thick clothes, they still felt the air pierce through to their skin. It was like they weren't dressed for the weather at all. As they walked, Percy narrated to his companions his little talk with the god Apollo just the night before. He explained that he told them about how information on the location of his twin sister and the identity of the monster in the prophecy was clouded from even him, the god of prophecy. He also told them that they should seek out Nereus in San Francisco.
"What? Why didn't he mention that to me, last night?" Evan asked as he looked surprised by this.
"Maybe because you kept being a smart ass?" Dante said as he was awake for the whole thing just feigning sleep.
"Well it looks like your hunch was right, Thalia." Patty said as she hoisted the Punishing Cross over her shoulder via the strap. "We are going to the Bay Area after all." Patty added and thus Thalia didn't seem too happy about that.
"For once I'm not happy for being right," Thalia sighed as if she was resigning herself to a fate.
"Why? How bad can the Bay Area be?" Percy asked with worry and confusion as to why that was a bad thing this time.
"Percy, Mount Othrys is there," Grover said as he even gave a hint of fear. "There are a lot of monsters at the base of that mountain and the mist is so thick there, even we demigods are affected." Grover said added to which even Evan was curious as to what was bad about it.
"Uhh right, and what's Mount Othrys?" Percy followed up showing he didn't pay attention in class when Greek Mythology was the subject of their classes.
Grover didn't answer instead he sent a look to the leader of the quest like he was asking for permission to say more. Percy looked to Thalia, but he was given the same response.
Zoe seemed to notice this and said, "I do not want to talk about it. All that thou have to know is the mountain is dangerous for thee half-bloods." She sounded like she had bad blood when talking about the place.
In response Grover sighed knowing why she gave that answer. "I guess that's good. At least we have an actual location now." Grover said and in turn Corvus came out.
"Lucky for you I can get us through there." Corvus said surprising the group. "Sorry I didn't mention it sooner but with all the running we were doing I didn't have the time." Corvus said as he landed on Kat's shoulder laughing a bit.
"That's a good thing, especially if we're going to Titan HQ." Calisto said causing Zoe to go wide eyed to this.
"Calisto!" Zoe yelled scolding the Witch for that.
"What someone had to say it if you wouldn't either Evan or I would!?" Calisto defended knowing full well that Mt. Othyrs was bad news due to it being the Titans own version of Mt. Olympus.
But before an argument or a fight could break out Bianca stepped in. "I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we got no ride out of here," Bianca said and in turn group looked around. True to Bianca's words, there was literally nothing in that town save for a school, a bunch of tourist shops, cafes, some ski cabins, and a grocery. All of that were seen from the middle of the town.
"Hey, there's a coffee shop!" Grover pointed out to the aforementioned shop as Evan smirked to this.
"Yes, coffee is good," Zoe agreed as it seems even an immortal huntress needs her morning coffee.
"Alright, you, me, Patty, Dante, and Bianca will go ask for directions," Thalia suggested as that was her plan to split up. "You rest of you will go get us some coffee and hot chocolate." Bianca said as it was a good plan. One Devil Hunter and Witch between the groups in the event they run into trouble from Inferno or Paradiso.
Zoe saw the logic in this plan without it being mentioned and with a nod agreed to it. "We will meet in front of the grocery store in fifteen minutes," Zoe added to which they now had their plan.
"Got it." Evan said as he began to walk away.
"Don't burn down the town you too." Dante said to his kids as Evan then smirked to his old man.
"Oh come on dad, can't be as bad as wrecking a city that worships grandad Sparda." Evan countered with a cocky smirk on his face.
With a smirk Dante headed off to get some directions for them. "Little Smart ass." Dante said knowing Evan was a regular chip off the old block.
And so, the group split up to go on their respective agenda. On the way to the coffee shop, Evan accidentally bumped into a curly-haired boy with dark brown eyes, pointy ears, and an elf-like features on his face. From what Evan and in turn Calisto saw the boy was clutching his stomach like he hadn't eaten for a while.
"Oh, sorry about that man," Evan apologized as he could already tell what this kid was.
"No, no, it's my fault," He answered in a Hispanic accent. "I wasn't looking at where I was going." He said and in turn the boy's stomach took that moment to make its presence to the group.
"S-sorry about that," He said to which Kat saw herself in the boys place.
"You must be hungry," Kat said as she looked to the boy being where he was long ago. "You want to join us for breakfast?" Kat offered as she looked to the boy.
"Gee, are you sure miss?" The boy asked making sure he was hearing right.
"Sure, why not?" Evan responded with a shrug not really caring if he joins them or not. For the first time that day, the boy smiled. It was like he hadn't experienced this kind of good gesture from anybody even from family. He felt like crying, but he held strong just like he always did.
(Later at the Coffee Shop)
After buying the kid some food, the boy couldn't stop thanking them. "I can't thank you guys enough for this. You don't know how much this means to me." The kid said as Evan was drinking some hot coco from a paper cup.
"No problem, kid." Evan said as he waved him off. "Where are you from anyway?" He asked and in turn the Kid looked to the Tri-Breed.
"I'm from Houston," The kid answered to which the group grew worried.
"What are you doing all the way out here?" Grover asked finding something wrong with that but already figuring out what he was.
"Uhh…no reason," The kid lied, but he decided he should tell them some truth; he owed them that much. "Actually, I'm an orphan trying to get my life together. The orphanage isn't the life for me, you get me? Besides, they won't adopt me at my age." He admitted and in turn Kat looked to the boy in pity knowing how the system was like in her own life.
What he said had hit Kat in the heartstrings in many ways. She help couldn't but feel for the boy since he lived a life similar to her. She was about to say something, but Grover beat her to it. "Hey, what do you say we get some help to get you to a place to call home?" Grover said as he honestly wanted to help the boy.
"Uhh, no thanks," The boy was quick to decline. He knew what they were referring to, and he didn't want to go back to the orphanage after all the effort he went through to escape.
"Jeez Grover way to make him feel at ease." Evan said cutting in knowing how this would turn out if it goes on. "We're not going to send you to an orphanage and we're sure as hell not getting social workers involved either." Evan said calmly as the boy calmed down some.
In turn Calisto took over for her brother. "Look we can't do much more to help you but we can tell you this, in New York there's a place you can get to, they got good food and shelter and will give you some life skills to survive on your own. We won't force you to go and we can't exactly take you with us either." Calisto said calmly giving the kid the choice here. "It's your call kid if you want to give this camp a try we know a few people who can get you there." The Umbra Witch said as she really hoped that their cousin Nero was operating in this area.
The kid looked to be debating his options on this as they did help him but he didn't trust them completely on what they offered. When the kid didn't answer Evan sighed and then took something from his person. "Look here." He said handing the kid a business card and what looked like Phone Change. "If you want to go find a phone and call this number, tell them Evan and Calisto Redgrave sent you, and follow their instructions." Evan said and in turn the kid took the offering and nodded.
"And remember the password is Devil's Never Cry." Calisto added as she knew it was a precaution for the shop.
Looking at the card he saw the words 'Devil May Cry,' printed on it with a phone number to go with it. He then stood up and took his leave but before leaving he stopped. "Thank you." He said before heading off as Evan waved the young Demigod off.
Once he was gone Percy had to ask. "What was that about?" Percy asked as the question was bugging him since they met the kid.
"You two felt it too, huh?" Grover asked as he looked to the twins with a knowing look.
"Yeah, he was a demigod too, right?" Evan answered as he didn't seem at all surprised by this information.
"He was?" Percy asked as he took a double-take to this information. "Then let's go after him!" Percy said but Evan then stopped him by putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Percy, we just don't have the time." Evan said knowing how impulsive Percy can be. "We're on another time-sensitive quest, remember?" Evan reminded knowing full well they couldn't afford to waste time on this quest.
"Besides I already made sure Rodin knows about him and if Evan's hunch is right then he'll call Devil May Cry and Rodin or one of dads associates will pick him up to take him to camp." Calisto said and thus Grover nodded in agreement.
"He'll be alright if he doesn't realize it yet." Grover said and thus returned to the task at hand. "Besides, it's almost time to meet up with the others." He said and in turn they began to head over to the Grocery Store that was in town.
(Later at the Grocery Store)
The group arrived to find that Dante and the girls were already waiting in front of the grocery store. Even as they approached the group all saw that they didn't look happy for some reason.
"So, how are things on your end?" Kat asked as they joined their companions briefly.
"It's not looking good," Thalia said and thus began to explain. "The clerk said we can call a taxi from Alamogordo down at the bottom of the mountains to come pick us up. It would take an hour just to get here and would cost us several hundreds of dollars." Thalia said as Patty nodded in confirmation.
"That is not good enough," Zoe said knowing they were on a tight schedule. "We have to leave as soon as possible. Who knows what kind of things will find us here?" Zoe said as Evan, Calisto, and Bianca all had a pretty good idea on what could find them out here. After all Three Sparda's stranded in the middle of nowhere was just begging for a Demon to show up and attack.
"Look complaining about it won't solve anything." Dante began as he got the groups attention.
"He's right." Zoe agreed but sounded like she had trouble admitting to Dante being right. "But that doesn't mean we can't find an alternative way to leave this place." Zoe added as she knew Artemis was in danger and if they fail they lose another year of preparations for war.
"Well no arguing there." Dante agreed but knew if they went at it half-baked they'd be getting their group killed.
Just then Kat noticed something in Bianca's hands. "Uhh…Bianca, what's that?" Kat asked with concern that it may be booby trapped.
"Oh, it's a rubber rat." Bianca said as she showed it to the blonde. "I bought it because the clerk looked lonely." She said as it was clear she was just trying to be a nice person to the clerk.
"There's not enough snow to snowboard anyway." Percy said as he really wished they could just snowboard their way out of this hick town.
Just then Thalia snarled a bit as she was clearly losing her patience. "I'll go ask other stores for other suggestions." Thalia called out as she began to storm off.
"Um Thalia didn't the lady just say?" Evan began but was ignored by the daughter of Zeus who glared at him to shut his mouth. Evan raised his hands in surrender knowing there was no use arguing with someone in a mood like Thalia was. In turn the Zeus girl stamped away reluctant to stand around waiting for something to happen. After all, she was a demigod also she too has those battle reflexes that kept half-bloods alive during the battle. But it did them little good when standing idle like times like this.
"I will go with thee," Zoe offered as she went up to Thalia. "Perhaps we can find a car rental or something." Zoe said and thus Thalia nodded before they left.
Calisto then sighed as she noted how everything was going quiet for them now. As she stood there she began to look to her father and brother before getting the others attention. They too noticed that things were getting quiet and awkward and it was only a matter of time before one of them snapped for it. In fact Calisto even knew who would crack first and began the countdown for it. "Five, four, three, two, and…" Calisto counted down and then pointed a finger at Evan.
"Well I'm bored." Evan said just as Calisto ended her countdown as Calisto smiled knowing her brother well enough to know when he would complain about being bored.
"Thank you, thank you." Calisto boasted as she was the victor in any minor bets.
But then, something happened that none of them ever expected. Grover froze suddenly stopping from his round of laughter and dropping his cup. Before anyone could ask what was wrong, a warm breeze rustled past them, like Zephyrus had blown his winds stealing Boreas's thunder. A misplaced scent of fresh air permeated everyone's nostrils.
The Twin Tri-Breeds felt it thanks to their connection to their mother. It was pure nature energy, except it was stronger. But it seems that wasn't the end of it as all of a sudden the rubber rat sprang to life causing the youngest demigod to yelp in surprise. After escaping her grasp, it scampered off into the trees.
Whatever this was, it wasn't done yet as just then Grover collapsed into the snow steaming. They gathered around him trying to get a word out, but all they got from him was a groan and fluttering eyes. Evan and Calisto both seemed disoriented for a moment as they tried to regain themselves for trouble. Noticing the commotion, Thalia and Zoe came running in towards them.
"What did you four do this time?" Zoe asked accusingly trying to figure out what just happened to them.
"We don't know!" Bianca reasoned as she was in shock to this. "I-it just happened." Bianca defended just before Thalia noted something nearby
"Well, you better get him up." Thalia said frantically as she looked to what the danger was. "They found us!" She called out as she pointed her finger out. True to her words, the crackling of bones like the one you hear in horror movies was heard by the group. They turned to see a group of Mexico State Police heading towards them. Since they were demigods, they were able to see through the mist and see that their skin was really transparent and grey revealing the bone underneath.
"The general must have sent them!" Percy explained as he knew how the General chased them down. "We have to hurry!" He said and thus both Evan and Calisto agreed.
"This just can't get any worse." Evan said and thus Calisto glared at her brother for saying those words here.
Just then a demonic voice whispered in the air getting Evan's attention on it. "EVAN!" The Voice spoke and in turn Evan found himself being pulled into Limbo.
"Oh me, and my big fucking mouth!" Evan yelled as the world around him changed form much like it always did when pulled into Limbos demonic embrace.
"Evan!" Kat cried out as she, Dante, Patty, Calisto, and Bianca all saw Evan was dragged into Limbo again.
Soon the entire town looked to be something straight out of a Horror game as Evan swore a zombie would pop out any moment around here. "Evan are you ok?" Kat called out as she tried to see if Evan was ok.
"Dammit guys I'm in Limbo again!" Evan called out as he knew what had to happen.
"Don't worry I'll make a portal and get you out." Calisto called out but then something happened. "Or not." Calisto said from her side on Chaos saw something troubling.
"Oh What now?" Evan asked as this was getting from bad to worse for their group.
(In Chaos)
"Evan we got Angels." Calisto said as she saw descending were the Angels looking for their prize once more.
"I can get Evan out once I find a rift." Kat said as she jumped in and in turn Calisto agreed with Bianca.
"Got it, time for the Witches to get to work." Calisto said and in turn she and Bianca stepped up.
Dante then put a hand on his daughters shoulder almost to stop her. Calisto looked to Dante and in turn the daughter son duo smiled and went about it. "Find us a way out and we'll meet you there!" Calisto said and in turn she and Bianca got to work.
In turn the two opened a portal and entered Chaos to do their jobs. "See you guys on the other side." Calisto said with a smile on her face. Soon they were gone and thus they got ready to leave.
"Well then." Dante said as he then took out Ebony and Ivory. "Time to go to work boys." Dante said as he pointed the guns at the fake cops. And in turn the Demigods realized they were in good hands with Dante backing them up against the disguised monsters.
In turn Dante began to fight them off. He started out by using Ebony and Ivory as he spun around the Skeleton Warriors hitting them with his bullets. They did something but not enough for lasting damage on them. Seeing this Dante avoided an attack from one and then sliced the others head off. The result was the decapitated Skeleton Warrior bursting in flames straight from Inferno before leaving behind only its ashes. Seeing this Dante saw how the Skeleton Warriors ease back in fear over this as Dante then took out Taurus and swung the hammer over his shoulder.
"Well then seems you guys don't like Devil Arms." Dante said as he then smirked at his foes. "Let's rock!" Dante called out and thus charged into the fight and swung his hammer at them and thus created an opening for the Quest Group to make their escape. As they ran it was clear Zoe had taken note of this and wondered why Hellfire Iron was doing this much damage to the Warriors. A question to be answered at a later date but for now they had to leave less they be caught.
(Meanwhile with Evan in Limbo)
Evan already began to make his way through Limbo to find the Demon who brought him here to begin with. He hated being dragged into Limbo so much and for good reason one might add. Limbo and Purgatory were as different as night and day much like Inferno and Paradiso. Both realities are like mirror versions of Chaos but via different mirrors. Limbo is basically a sub realm that acts as borderlines between Inferno and Chaos. It's actually had most demons manage to get into Chaos without the aid of a Hell Gate. But Limbo had its own problems since it could also be considered a living thing with how it would actively attack you.
But the benefit of Limbo is that it allows you pathways not normally found in Chaos and in the cases of a medium manipulate it. Purgatory was another matter on its own with reasons varying. Unlike Limbo Purgatory was the borderline between Chaos and Paradiso. It doesn't drag you into its realm like Limbo's demons do but it doesn't exactly stand idle either. Purgatory allows for one to manipulate things making it into reality for Chaos. Angels tend to spend a lot of time here seeking out lost souls to carry into Paradiso should they earn it in their eyes. But of course this also allows Angels to manipulate those in Chaos to their will. The Angels many times over may claim to be doing it for the betterment of mankind but Evan saw them as arrogant self-righteous winged assholes. Like Limbo Purgatory does have hidden pathways impossible to get to via Chaos with only angels standing in your way. That was good when Limbo to get to a path you don't only have Demons in your way but also Limbo itself causing you problems.
Thus as Evan ran through the Limbo version of town the ground soon broke open with black ink like substance. Demons came out of it snarling and roaring as they all glared at Evan ready to kill the Tri-Breed hunter. Evan then rolled his eyes and in turn took out Jekyll and Hyde ready for battle.
"Here we go again!" Evan called out and thus charged into the fray ready to kill his demonic foes. The Battle began as Evan began to hack and slash his way through the foes as they came at him. Making short work of them knowing how they operate Evan hardly got a scratch on his person for this fight. As he fought through the demons their limbs flew around severed from their bodies thanks to the Devil Hunters Elysium. As he continued to fight through them it was clear the Tri-Breed was still as powerful as he ever was. One Demon suffered a stab to the chest while another lost its head right after.
Suddenly Evan avoided arrow bolts and looked to see that some flyers were in the sky glaring down on him in contempt. As Evan saw them he switched back to his guns and began firing them off at the demons. He then used his Ophion tool and brought one down to his level before he sliced the demon in two. As Evan continued to do battle he smirked at his foes as he wondered how the others were doing.
(Meanwhile in Purgatory Calisto and Bianca)
Calisto and Bianca arrived in Purgatory curtesy of one Umbral Portal to the borderline realm. Not long after they arrived the Angels appeared all glaring at the Witches ready to go to town on them. Too bad for these heavenly fuckers the feelings were mutual.
The two Witch's then smirked and nodded to each other before, they in turn the two took a battle stance. "You wanna touch me?" Calisto taunted as she was emulating her mentor.
"If so then show us what you got." Bianca added as the two were ready to kick ass. In response the Angels charged at the two Witches intending on taking them both down. The battle began as the two Umbra Witches went to town on the Angels. They fought their way through them left and right as bullets flew and angelic blood spewed. The battle went like this as Calisto and Bianca showed that these two Witches were the hunters never the prey.
Calisto jumped over one and twisted its neck so much that if was torn off. Following it up she fired her guns from her feet hitting multiple demons before slicing them with her twin swords. She then spun around and sliced through many of them at once before ending it with a Torture Attack. Her attack was basically like a hang man as the Angel had its neck grabbed by a chain. The chain hoisted the Angel up showing an execution block before five more chains shot up and wrapped around its limbs.
With a smirk Calisto ended the attack by pulling the Angel apart killing it in a blood soaked mess of angelic death. As Calisto went at it she then moved her head to the side allowing an Angels spear to graze passed her before she spun to the ground and pointed the gun at its crotch. The angel went wide eyed at Calisto who then smirked and pulled the trigger causing the Angel to lose that particular piece of itself to her. As the Angel riled in nothing but pure pain and agony Calisto put it out of its misery by cutting it in half staining her face with the angel's blood. Calisto licked some of the blood close to her mouth taking a sadistic sort of pleasure from hunting these fuckers.
Next up came Bianca as she spun in and began shooting at the Angels as they came. Her bullets flew strong and true as she was going to town on them. She knew how arrogant these Angels are and knew that they also can back it up in most cases. The Olympian pantheon and possibly other Pantheons like to believe they came first into the world but that was not true. It was in fact demons, humans, and angels who came into the world first in the dawn of time.
But the war that split the world into the Trinity also caused left over powers to birth the many pantheons that mankind knows of today. This also came with the same Gods believing themselves to be the center of the universe when they were not. It was funny Mr. D likes to bash on human science but she often wondered just how he'd respond to be on the receiving end of that tidbit of information. Back to the battle Bianca used her Wicked Weave showing she had improved since she first became an Umbra Witch. She had even used a spiked torture attack to turn an Angel into a blood red smear on the ground.
Bianca then dodged another attack from the Angels as she then grabbed their spears and forced it out of their hands. She shot them upward before jumping after the angel's weapons. Going upside down she spun around and began shooting the weapons causing them to stab into all the Angels. Bianca was far from done as she then came back down and slammed her heeled foot into an Angels head and shot the gun off. The Demi-God Umbra Witched ended up killing the angel by filling its head with bullets.
As it fell down dead the two gathered together back to back and smiled at the Angels as they kept coming. "Jeez I know you all want me but this is stalking." Calisto said as she saw her adoring fans surrounding her for her power.
"Well Calisto you can always get a restraining order for them." Bianca quipped but Calisto smirked in response to that.
"And push away my adoring public, I don't think so." Calisto responded and thus the two went back at it fighting against all the angels. The two continued to do battle as they went for the frontal attack against the Angelic foes. Calisto used her Wicked Weave to slam two fists together and crush another Demon between Lady Astarte's knuckles. Following it up Calisto then summoned an Iron Maiden and sat upon it as the Angel she was fighting took note of the particular torture device and tried running away. Acting fast Calisto send a chain out and forced the Angel into the Iron Maiden stabbing into it in the back.
The Torture device then closed on the Angel and in turn it was skewered inside as its blood was seen pooling out from the bottom of the torture device. When it opened up again the Angel fell out dead as its remains left behind halos that the Witches kept collecting as the battle continued. As Calisto and Bianca continued to fight the duo hoped that their father and friends were ok back in Chaos.
Just then Calisto senses went off and thus the girl proceeded to act fast. "Bianca!" Calisto called out and in turn they acted. It was clear that Bianca also sensed it as the two Umbra Witches avoided a massive blade of gold hitting them from a new foes arrival.
*Inserts Bayonetta 2 OST: Angel Descend
As the Angel landed it seemed to be warriors based and while note the size of an Audito power still radiated off of it. Its massive blade held in to hands was then switched to a singular hand as it shouldered the weapon in question. It had two sets of wings on its back as the halo hovered over its headless shoulders revealing the face was on the Angels chest.
Its armor was light but strong as it was designed to allow for easy movements. This new Angels had a name as it glared upon the two Witches before him ready to take Calisto's power. As it stood there Calisto opened her book with all information regarding the Laguna and thus found the image she was looking for on the foe. This new Angel was known as:
FIFTH SPHERE ARCHANGEL CHIVALRY

Once Calisto closed the book she got ready for battle. Both Umbra Witches knew this wasn't going to be an easy one for the young Dynamic duo. "Well you're a big one, come to play?" Calisto taunted as she looked to her foe who looked to the two with calculation and serenity.
"The Umbra Witch, we should thank you for your services rendered." Chivalry said as he glared down upon Calisto. "You have ensure the return of the Right Eye of Light sooner than we had anticipated." Chivalry said as he looked upon Calisto. "But it seems in our attempt to track the Right Eye we went for the Left Eye by mistake. We shall be sure to learn from this later." The Angel said as Calisto sighed a bit as she began to paste back and forth while the Angel spoke. "But it is a mistake that can be taken advantage of all to prevent the Demons King from." Chivalry began only to be shot at by Calisto halting his speech.
"Jeez don't you guys ever get to the fucking point?" Calisto asked as she then looked to the Angel. "Look I don't have time for this there's a party and my mom is waiting for me so you can either put up or fuck off." Calisto said as she glared at the Angel before her.
"I see… regardless you shall soon come to know defeat at our hands Umbran Witch." The Angel said and in turn swung its sword before then taking a battle stance.
"Seems we must teach this angel a lesson." Bianca said as she stood next to Calisto during the whole exchange.
"Seem that way." Calisto said and thus the Tri-Breed Umbra Witch got ready to fight. "Well then…" Calisto began before taking a battel stance of her own. "Let's rock baby." Calisto said and in turn the battle between them began. The two charged at each other as the Angel began by swinging its sword at Calisto slicing into the ground doing so. Jumped and spun over the blade before she began shooting at the Angel with all four of her guns. Each bullet hit the Angel causing damage due to how they were custom made to combat those of Paradiso.
Once Calisto landed she send a wicked weave uppercut to the angel sending it stumbling back. In retaliation the Angel in turn swung down on Calisto to which she spun her body around it before jumping up and using her wicked weave to kick its side. The Angel cried out in pain as it grabbed its ribs from the kick. Calisto smirked as she walked torts the Angel and she and Lady Astarte knuckle bumped via the Tri-Breeds wicked weave.
The Angel of course got back on its feet and glared at Calisto ready to end her for the Left Eye of Darkness. Clearly this battle was going some time to finish up for the Umbra Witch. But unlike most she welcomed the challenge with excitement and anticipation. Clearly she was much like her brother and in turn their battle continued. The Angel went at Calisto with its sword and in response Calisto blocked it with her twin swords before she pushed the Angel back. The Angel moved back as Calisto came upon the angel and in turn shot her heel gun at the Laguna. As the bullets hit Calisto then flew upward with momentum and then came back down and slammed her foot on the Angel knocking it down.
Next came Bianca as she came at the Angel and in turn grabbed hold of its legs. She then began to spin the Angel about giving it zero room to retaliate or try stopping her. Once Bianca got her momentum she threw the Angel upward and in turn Calisto went after it followed closely by Calisto. As the two Witches went at the Angel Calisto grabbed Bianca's hand and began to spin before throwing Bianca at the Angel. Once Bianca was close enough to the Angel she performed a double spin kick and fired off her guns at the Angel causing its blood to shoot out due to it being at point blank range here.
Once the attacks hit Bianca jumped back and used her Wicked weave to slam the Demon back with both hands linked together which Madama Kahpri did the same hand movement. The Angel flew downward as Calisto was ready as she rolled her arms for what would come next for her. Calisto then got ready to attack the Demon with her own wicked weave as it began to form. Once the Angel was close enough Calisto punched it sending the demon flying into a building side.
The two Witches stood next to each other and smirked at their foe as he began to get back up. He then charged at them and sliced his sword at the duo opting them to dodge the attack from Chivalry. Once that was done Calisto and Bianca activated Witch time and in turn began to send a flurry of punches at the Angel hitting it and causing it major damage. They duo then proceeded to punch the Angel one last time before ending Witch time and thus time caught up to the Angel.
It was then hit multiple times by the fists once time caught up to it before it was sent flying back from the attack used by Calisto. Once this was done the two Witch charged at the Angel once more working in perfect unity against the Laguna. They hardly had to speak to each other during the combat as they were truly acting as one unit here.
The Angel then went at them again only this time the two Witches had time to act. Calisto blocked the attack with her twin swords and thus gave Bianca and opening to attack the Angel. Bianca attacked the Angel in the legs forcing them to buckle under and thus lost its footing against the Umbra Witch daughter of Hades. Once that was done Calisto pushed the angel's weapon back and went for its humanoid face. Once she got to it she slashed it up with a spin attack before jumping back and shooting at it with her guns. The bullets flew fast and true and hit their intended target without fail causing the angel pain as the result of it.
The Angel roared in pain and stumble back grabbing his face that Calisto had hit while blood streamed out from the cracks the bullets made. Once this was done Calisto jumped back to the ground before she used her Wicked Weave to bash Astarte's head into the angels face. The Angel in turn fell back and thus his sword flew out of his hand from this. As The Angel got back on its feet Calisto and Bianca both charged in and began to attack it. Their attacks were powerful and strong and as they did so they made sure the Angel suffered.
But the Angel got back up and with a roar released a burst of its own angelic powers. The two Witches jumped back from the attack and in turn Calisto saw the Angel proceed to charge at them. Knowing it was time to end this fight Calisto nodded for Bianca to back off. Once Bianca got some distance between them Calisto proceeded with the climax of this fight.
"PDEE BARMA!" Calisto invoked as she began the infernal summoning. Just as the Angel was upon her Calisto smirked when Lady Astarte punched the Angel so hard it went flying back. Once the Demon appeared she crossed her arms showing she was ready to end this once and for all.
Once that was done Astarte grabbed the Angels sword and dragged it over to its former wielder. She then proceeded to slice the Angels legs off causing it to cry out in pain and agony from the event. Astarte didn't end it there as she then proceeded to stab the Angel where its head should be causing it even more pain from the demons attack. Astarte then smirked and proceeded to pull the sword only to stab it back in again. She continued to do so as the brutality of it was clearly evident of her heritage as an Infernal.
The blood shot out and stained the area as Astarte continued to brutalize the Angel. She then went to finish the job as she then proceeded to slice the Sword down and in turn slicing the Angel in two causing its blood to spew everywhere. Its organs even hit the ground from the result as it was shocking to see an Angel even had those. Calisto bore witness to the whole thing and instead of vomiting or being traumatized like most her age she just smiled in a sadistic manner.
"Well then… that was fun." Calisto said as she licked her lips from a few drops of blood that hit her face. She then proceeded to walk away while Astarte vanished leaving the Angels remains behind. Just then an infernal portal opened and took the Angels remains as payment for Calisto's side of the contract. As she left Bianca was left wide eyed at the level of brutality that was displayed by the Umbra Witch. Regaining herself Bianca followed after Calisto so they may leave Purgatory and find Evan in Limbo. Assuming he hasn't found his own way out yet.
(Meanwhile with Evan in Limbo)
Evan was heading over to what seemed to be the church of this area. Now one might wonder why Evan would look for Demons in a Church the supposed 'house of god,' some might say. Well when hunting demons the last place you'd expect would be a Church which would be the first place a Demons would hide out at. It made sense since it adds a sense of giving Paradiso the proverbial middle finger when a Demon hides out in the Church of God.
As Evan began his approach the path was soon blocked by black goo curtesy of Limbo before multiple Demons showed up around the Tri-Breed hunter. As the Demons shot out of the ground they roared and snarled clearly wanting a piece of Evan right now. As Evan saw them all he smirked as it was clear he was ready to fight them all off here. "Well then… bring it chumps." Evan said as he was looking forward to the fight.
In turn the Demons attacked Evan as he began to shoot at them with Jekyll and Hyde punching holes into the demons with his bullets. The battle then continued when the Demons came at Evan and in turn were met with his Elysium against them. He hacked and slashed his way through them as Evan smirked through all of it. The Tri-Breed Devil Hunter then stabbed Elysium into another foe before using Jekyll to shot another Demon in the face.
Evan then moved the gun and shot it off more hitting even more Demons as the bullets punctured them all. Once that was done Evan sliced the previous demon in two and then got his gear ready for the others. They all surrounded him hoping to beat him with sheer numbers alone but they forgot his grandfather was Sparda himself. Thus Evan proceeded to make quick work of these foes. Once Evan was done he shouldered Elysium and then looked to the church before him.
"Hard to believe Limbo even has a church." Evan said as he in turn began to enter the Christian Church.
(With Evan inside the Church)
Evan kicked open the doors and began to make his way through the many pews. As Evan walked forth he knew something was here waiting for him to show up. Once Evan got to the front of the Church where the Priest would stand he picked up an odd item atop it. As he gave it a look over movement was heard as Evan smelled his quarry was around here.
Just then Evan heard growling and in turn smirked knowing what was lurking behind him. In turn a roar was heard and from behind Evan a massive lion like demon appeared and slammed its claws down on Evan. Evan of course used Elysium to block the attack and force the Demon to the far wall while dodging the demonic fucker. Evan walked to the side a bit while spinning Jekyll in his hand clearly not at all worried about the massive Demon getting back up.
"How did you know?" The Demon asked as Evan got a good look at it. The Demon was beast like in origin in particular lion based as the creature walked around on its hind legs. Its fists were tipped with claws while it seemed to have armor mixed in with its fur no doubt or protection during battle. The Demon before him had clearly seen many battles as he noted a broken horn on his head and scars across his body. If Evan was to wager this demon would be right at home in the part of Inferno Abigail ruled.
"You can hide and prowl all you want but buddy I can smell you a mile away." Evan said as he was mentioning his heightened senses over any foul odor. But the demon didn't need to know that bit of information about either of them. Evan then laughed a bit as he noticed something about this demon. "You know believe it or not my buddies and I just go through taking out an annoying fur ball a lot like you." Evan said as he pointed at the Demon standing before him.
The Demon growled in response to Evan's quip no doubt noticing the insult laced in his words. "Impudent whelp." The Demon growled as he grinded his claws across the ground creating sparks while circling Evan. "You should consider yourself fortunate that my Lord requires only your sister and the sage." The Demon said as Evan then yawned a bit. "But alas it seems I dragged in the wrong target and Paradiso decided to intervene with your sister." The Demon snarled while glaring contempt at Evan. "But perhaps your mangled corpse will draw her too us." The Demon said and thus found guns shot at him bouncing off his scale armor.
"Jeez, blablabla." Evan said as he glared at the Demon. "Do you guys ever get the memo to stop you're monologs? It's how you fuckers lose 90% of the time." Evan said as he hated when all his foe monologue. "How about we just skip the whole talk and banter and get straight to where I kick your ass." Evan said challenging the Demon.
In response the Demon roared and thus was also ready to fight. "VERY WELL!" He roared and slammed his fists on the ground. "For now you face LEO Beast of Savage Hellfire!" Leo roared as his body lit aflame while roaring.
"Well then hothead this should be fun." Evan said as he was ready to kick some ass. "Now then, Leo, let me put this to you as delicately as I can." Evan challenged and made a, 'bring it on,' gesture.
Thus the battle began as Leo roared and went for the first attack. Evan of course countered as he tried to hold his ground but underestimated the Demon. In turn Evan was blasted back and even crashed through a pillar. As Evan got back up he hissed and felt something trickling down his head. He looked it over and saw it was blood and then glared at the large Demon.
"Now you've pissed me off." Evan growled as he then went after Leo intended on killing off the demon fucker. OF course the two had a scuffle to start off Evan slashing at Leo with his sword but like how he looks it seems Leo was similar to the Nemean Lion from Greek Mythology. The Demon in turn slammed a foot to Evan's gut before grabbing the Tri-Breeds head and slamming into the ground. Once that was done Evan was on the ground moaning in pain a bit.
The Demon then grabbed Evan and proceeded to hoist him up. "Oh crap!" Evan cursed as he was in the air.
(Outside the Church)
A Few Demons were scouting around either for their next meal or for one of the Sparda's. So far they were coming up with blanks. They were told not to actively catch one of them but to guide her to their boss. But alas it seems they were at a loss and thus opted to take a small break. Their break meanwhile was stopped when Evan flew out the window and landed on the ground between them. Right then as they ran Elysium flew in and stabbed the demon killing it instantly while his supposed friend laughed at his friend's fate. But Karma was a bitch as Evan then shot Hyde at said demon and then laughed a bit at that one.
Just then Leo charged out of the building wrecking it and thus roared at Evan. Evan growled and began to get back up and glared at the Demon. "Looks like I'm doing this Hercules style." Evan said as he sheathed Elysium after grabbing it. He then glared at the Demon and with his arms spread wide and crouching a bit it was evident he was going to wrestle the demon. "BRING IT ON!" Evan said as he taunted the Demon to come straight at him.
Leo roared and charged at Evan and in return Evan roared back and charged at the demon lion. The two ended up clashing as they grappled and tried to overpower the other. As they struggled Evan separated and went for the Demons midsection before he proceeded to punch into it. The Demon clearly felt it but his dexterity was remarkable. When Leo had enough he went for Evan to grab him but Evan was fast as he was smaller than his opponent. Once Evan got behind him he grabbed the Demon by its waist and proceeded to flip it over. Once Evan did this he got back up and aimed for its head and began to fire at it. The bullets hit the demon and thus caused it pain as its face was filled with lead. In turn Leo roared and got back up forcing Evan off of him. Once he was back up he glared at Evan before spitting out blood and a few bullets.
The two then went at each other as Evan went for his guns first. Of course Leo was fast and knocked Evan's hands aside before he could pull the trigger. Once this happened Evan switched to Elysium and swung it at the Demon who then caught it between its fangs. Evan was wide eyed at this as Leo smirked before punching Evan in the face causing him to spin and release Elysium.
He then threw Elysium aside before he proceeded to go at Evan and punch him in the face again and followed it up with a kick to the gullet. Once this had happened Evan's feet grinded against the ground as he was knocked back by Leo. Evan then went for his guns and fired at the Demon once he stopped only for the bullets to bounce off. Leo chuckled as Evan began to grin a bit and put his guns away. The two began to approach each other as Evan then used his Ophion tool to retrieve Elysium and caught it in his hand before sheathing it.
Evan knew the demons face was its weak spot and intended to exploit the ever living hell out of it. The two circled around each other for a moment before getting down to it. Leo started off by punching the Tri-Breed Devil Hunter of Artemis in the face before Evan proceeded to return the favor. After Evan got punched again he had Hyde in his hand and shot the Demons face at point blank range. The result was the Demon being dazed and disoriented before Evan decided to act.
Going for the Demons midsection he used all his strength to push it into a building side where the wall ended up wrecked. Once this was done Leo began to slam his fists into Evan's back until the Devil Hunter decided to relent from the attack. Once that happened Leo grabbed Evan by his neck and began to hit him in the face as Evan grit his teeth and sucked up the pain like a man.
Evan then stabbed Elysium in Leo's arm going for a gap between his scaled armoring. Leo roared in pain as he then freed Evan who took Elysium back with him. But Leo was far from done as he gave Evan a good uppercut sending him flying off from the attack where he crashed into a car parked in the street. The Car dented in Limbo and in turn so did the one parked in Chaos. Evan then roared out as he then swung Elysium at the Demon who then used a blade on its arm to meet the sword head on. The result was both weapons creating a shockwave before Elysium cracked the arm blade. Evan then took it further and sliced into Leo's arm causing him to roar in pain and reel back his arm from the pain.
Evan looked at the Demon shouldering Elysium while Leo looked at his busted up arm blade. Evan then reached into one of his pouches and took out some Salt and thus jammed it into the Demons face. Salt was a powerful weapon against Demons as was Holy Water and several other holy items. Ice made from Holy Water was a deadly weapon against Demons and Salt was used to create barriers to keep Demons out of certain areas one wants protected.
Despite this Evan grabbed the Demon but its previously slashed arm and flipped it over before he proceeded to break that arm. Evan had wrapped his body around its arm and when an audible snap was heard it was clear the Demons arm was broken. Evan then pinned his foe down and began to shoot his guns into its face before he put one away. The Demon roared out and tried to rip Evan's throat out only for Evan to jam a bottle of Holy Water into its maw. Leo broke the glass and thus filled his mouth with Holy Water.
Leo roared in pain and agony as he his mouth began to steam and burn from the water. "Not as effective here as in Chaos but still just as deadly." Evan taunted while smirking at Leo as he was roaring in pain and agony. Evan then charged in and slammed his knee into the demons face before he pinned Leo again. In turn Evan began to punch Leo repeatedly until he stopped moving for a bit. "Now buddy I suggest you stay down!" Evan called out as he pointed and accusing finger at Evan.
As Evan began to walk away from the fallen foe he felt something broken in his mouth and began to feel the pain catch up to him. HE then tried to move it out of there and reached for it before pulling it out. In Evan's hand was to his shock a tooth of all things.
Evan was wide eyed as he looked to the tooth in question. "Damn." Evan cursed before feeling around for another one. Lucky for Evan there wasn't and thus he turned around to glare at the demon fucker who was getting back up. "A tooth!? You happy now?!" Evan demanded as he threw the tooth at the Demons face.
"You broke my blade and my arm!" Leo defended as he gestured to the broken bits in question. "Compared to those that was a slap on the wrist!" Leo yelled as he glared at the Tri-Breed.
"Dude just give it up." Evan said as seemingly unaware to Evan Limbo began to form spikes behind him. Leo glared at Evan and got ready to charge seeing the spikes in question. "Buddy I wouldn't do that if I were you." Evan said as he tried to warn the Demon who knocked out one of his teeth. Leo seeing this ignored him and thus charged at Evan. Smirking to this Evan proceeded to side step and thus allowed Leo to charge straight into the spikes. Leo was wide eyed to this and was unable to stop in time before he skewered himself on those spokes.
One of the spikes pierced his eye and came out the other end. In fact varying parts of this demons body now had spikes going in one way and coming out the other end. "Damn, tried to warn you." Evan said as he began to walk away from the now dead Leo. But as Evan left Leo's essence began to go torts Evan as Limbo began to shift sending Evan back home to Chaos. As Evan looked a flash of light soon blinded him for a minute just as the shift began to end.
(Meanwhile with the Quest Group)
Dante, Percy, Kat, Thalia, Grover, Patty, and Zoe were running through town trying to find a ride and a rift. They needed a rift to get Evan out of Limbo just in case he can't find the Demon who brought him there and kill it. As they ran they were soon met with the Skeletal Soldiers all looking to take a piece of them all.
Of course it all went downhill when the ground began to explode, buildings ended up trashed, and clear signs of shit going down in both Limbo and Purgatory happened. Dante of course kept everyone safe with Patty giving the others warning of the stuff going down in Purgatory and Limbo. Eventually it all lead up to the church where Evan began to appear no doubt having taken out the Demon. The Church of course had taken a heavy toll and thus was ready to collapse.
Following it up was Calisto and Bianca as the two Witches finished up on their end and saw the damage. "Hey what did, we?" Calisto began but was cut off at the damages. "Ok never mind." Calisto said as he knew they really did a number on this small town.
As Evan stood there he was now wearing armor around his legs and arms. The arm ones went up to his shoulders with the shoulder pads having what looked like Lion heads on them with glowing red eyes that were almost on fire. His legs had a beast motif to them as they reached up to his knees where they had a horn with the leg part having a lion head motif as well. Evan looked over his new Devil Arm as they his spikes on it and from the looks of it were strong as they were heavily brutal.
Just then the church began to collapse and from it Evan saw it and smirked. In response Evan acted and thus began to try out his newly acquired Devil Arm. Evan began to punch and kick the debris as it came down on him destroying it before it could crush the Tri-Breed Child of Artemis. Evan continued to show off what he could do as he was clearly a master of this craft all the while Dante smiled at his son with pride over him.
Evan continued to do so as his fists and feet began to lite aflame with the hellfire native to Inferno. He continued on until he delivered a powerful uppercut to a statue of an Angel. Once Evan got high to the ground be performed a double drop kick on the Cross that was atop the church and stabbed it into the top of the rubble. Evan landed and smirked as his coat billowed in the wind making him look badass.
After seeing this Dante smirked as he looked to his son. "That's my boy." Dante praised his son holding nothing but pride for the Tri-Breed.
Since they were at the edge of town now they had made plenty of space between them and the Skeleton Soldiers. Adding to that Dante may have taken care of a few of them with Rebellion dealing the killing blows. But as Evan, Calisto, and Bianca began to regroup with them when they began to hear the rustling of branches. From there they saw two more skeletons appeared on the road behind them.
"Oh come on not now." Evan growled as he glared at them.
"Huh looks like they must have split up." Evan said as he saw they were cornered right now. "No doubt to hunt us down." Evan said as he pointed Elysium at them causing the warriors to back off. "What?" Evan asked as he looked to the Skeleton Warriors around them.
"Long story short, Evan." Dante began as he took a battle stance. "These things hate Hellfire Iron." Dante said and thus Evan smirked with that being all he needed to know here.
But before any actions could be made Grover was stirring as this got the groups attention. "It's near." Grover moaned getting everyone's attention.
"Yeah we can see that Grover." Bianca said as she looked to the downed Satyr in question.
"No." Grover insisted despite his condition. "The gift. The gift from the Wild." Grover said and in turn Evan was confused by this information.
"Fuck it." Evan said as he then looked to his father, Calisto, Bianca, Patty, and Kat. "Ok since we use Hellfire Iron here's what's going to happen, we take them down, five on four we got superior numbers adding Percy, Thalia, and Zoe we've got this in the bag." Evan said as he got ready for a full on smack down against their gathered foes.
But before any combat could begin the largest pig anyone has ever seen came crashing into the road with a mighty roar. It was a wild boar, thirty feet high, with a snotty pink snout and tusks the size of canoes. Its back bristled with brown hair, and its eyes were wild and angry.
"Holy crap Porky's gone nuts!" Calisto called out when she saw the boar charge into the area. The mighty boar squealed, and raked the three skeletons aside with its tusks. The force was so great, they went flying over the trees and into the side of the mountain, where they smashed to pieces, thigh bones and arm bones twirling everywhere.
But then the pig turned to them as Evan saw it with Dante. "Well looks like we're having pork for the road." Evan said ready to kill the pig.
"No!" Grover called out stopping Evan and the others from attacking.
"What why?" Patty asked and thus Kat put the pieces together.
"This Boar is the Gift of the Wild isn't it?" Kat asked as she looked to Grover in shock to this.
The boar grunted and pawed the ground, ready to charge at them. "That's the Erymanthian Boar," Zoe said, trying to stay calm. "I don't think we can kill it." Zoe said as she then looked to Kat. "How can you be sure it's the Blessing of the Wild?" Zoe asked as she was skeptical here just before it charged them again.
The group managed to avoid it and thus Evan began to think. "How is this a blessing?" Bianca asked and in turn Evan had an idea.
"Depends how fast can it get us out of this town?" Evan smirked and thus Calisto saw what her brother was thinking.
"Evan you evil genius." Calisto praised and thus she shot at the Boar getting its attention. "Hey Porky come get me!" Calisto called out as she had a plan.
"Calisto what are you doing?!" Thalia asked when she saw this but Dante figured out what his kids were going to do.
The Boar charged and in turn Calisto dodged at the last possible second activating Witch Time. The Boar slowed to a crawl as did everything else in Witch Time before she jumped and got on its back. Once she was on its back Witch Time ended and thus the Boar began to try bucking Calisto off its back. Calisto held on tight as she was intended to keep her hold on the wild boars back.
"Evan anytime now!" Calisto called out and thus Evan charged in and flipped over the boar joining his sister. Together the two began to focus their power and with it used it for one single command upon the wild beast.
"STOP!" The Twin Tri-Breeds ordered and in turn the pig slowed and skidded, stopping just in front of a shocked Patty. Now it was trembling, shaking with rage as it clearly did not like being commanded like this. It made sense seeing as wild things in all the world hated to be caged by others.
The twins jumped off and smirked at the Boar as they added a bit of their demonic power to their command of it. The Boar hated it but even it knew that it was no rival to a Devil of the Legendary Deon Sparda's bloodline.
"Stay put." Evan said as he glared at the Boar with equal loathing showing who the bigger dick here was.
In response it huffed and pawed the ground. "You. Stay." Calisto added enforcing their will on the mythical Wild Boar.
"Evan Calisto?" Percy asked shocked at what he was seeing.
"It should be safe now." Evan said as he glared at the Wild Boar.
"Grover, can you do your nature thing? Make this…animal…listen to you?" Calisto asked as she looked over to their Satyr friend.
"What did you guys do to it?" Grover asked shocked to see this happening here.
"Easy." Dante stepped in and smirked to the gathered group. "They put it on a leash." Dante said and thus it was clear they now had their ride out of this small and wrecked ski-town.
"You…you shouldn't—" Grover began but the Twins cut him off.
"Grover just stop because honestly we don't care what we should and shouldn't do." Evan began and thus Calisto cut in on her brother.
"Annabeth has four days left, Artemis is missing, Titans are rising, and the world is ending." Calisto listed off her reasons why they don't care. "So speaking for me and my brother we don't give a damn if this is an abomination or not, it's done. It's a blessing, right? So use it." Calisto said but Grover didn't like how they said it.
"A blessing of the Wild," Grover said, though he now looked agitated.
Evan was about to counter with a smart aleck remark until Zoe cut in to defuse it. "I agree," Zoe said getting everyone's attention on her. "We must use it." Zoe said and thus they knew what must be done.
"Hold up," Thalia said irritably not liking what had to be done. "Explain to me why you're so sure this pig is a blessing."
Grover looked over, distracted. "It's our ride west. Do you have any idea how fast this boar can travel?" Grover asked and in turn Kat had a pretty good idea.
"Fun," Percy said as he knew he had to suck it up and deal with it. "Like…pig cowboys." Percy said and thus Kat smiled a bit.
"Well it's not horseback but I guess we can make due." Kat said as she did always want to go horseback riding before she had found out about Camp Half-Blood and her own heritage.
Grover nodded in agreement and thus got to it. "We need to get aboard. I wish…I wish I had more time to look around. But it's gone now." Grover said and looking a bit dejected but Calisto had taken notice to it.
"What's gone?" Percy asked with concern over his friend before Calisto could ask their shared Satyr.
But alas Grover didn't seem to hear him as he walked over to the boar and jumped onto its back. The boar chaffed at being mounted, but the Twins quickly reined him in. In turn Grover took out his pipes and began playing a snappy tune and tossed an apple in front of the boar. The apple floated and spun right above the boar's nose, and the boar went nuts, straining to get it.
"Automatic steering," Thalia murmured as she saw this. "Great." Thalia said as she trudged over and jumped on behind Grover, which still left plenty of room for the rest of the group.
"Wait a second." Percy said as he got the attention of the Twins and Zoe. "Do you two know what Grover is talking about—this wild blessing?" Percy asked as he was curious as to what it was.
"Of course." Zoe said but Evan wasn't too sure about it as was Calisto. "Did you not feel it in the wind? It was so strong…I never thought I would sense that presence again." Zoe trailed off and thus Percy was curious.
"What presence?" Percy asked and in turn Zoe gave Percy a look.
In fact she stared at the son of Poseidon like he was stupid for asking. "The Lord of the Wild, of course. Just for a moment, in the arrival of the boar, I felt the presence of Pan." Zoe explained and in turn Percy put the pieces together.
"You mean—" Percy began to ask after he gasped but before he could finish Dante stepped in.
"Come on kid we got to keep on moving." Percy said and thus it was time to move on.
"Yeah hopefully before I lose control of this damn thing." Evan said with Calisto nodding in agreement to Evan. Thus they all began to mount the boar and once they were the group was off going west to find Artemis. But as they rode off dark forces were afoot and unknown to them so too were the forces of light.
(With Tyr and the Dares)
Tyr and Rachel were exploring the sights as several times Tyr had nearly been left in shock over what he saw. Rachel had basically dragged him to get a wardrobe and he found himself unable to deny her. But seeing all of this he saw this world clearly was not the one he grew to know. For starters he was across the oceans from where the place of his birth once resided. Second of all the buildings reached higher than any he had seen in his life time almost touching the heavens or Paradiso themselves.
But most of all he sensed how the balance of the Trinity had shifted when he awoken the Right Eye. Despite this Tyr had also sensed the powers of Paradiso and Inferno at the Hoover Dam that the Dares were traveling to. If what he assumes is correct then some force had created an identical gate to Paradiso and Inferno where the Hoover Dam resides. It was also where he would part ways from the Dares and return to base.
Regardless looking at Rachel as she pulled his arm to another shop he could not help but wonder a life without her in it in comparison to one with her in it. Should he put his duty as a Lumen Sage before or after his own heart? Alas a question he must learn for he knew when it comes down to it he will have to decide then and there. Still he was a Lumen Sage a proud follower of his clan's teachings and it was still his duty to help uphold the Trinity with or without the Witches help.
But there was one more thing to note about Rachel. In the past humans all over could see into Limbo and Purgatory in one way or form. But in recent times humankind had lost that ability and for a bit Tyr believed it to be blamed on modern technology and the like. HE now knew that was not the case because Rachel was able to see it without being a medium. It was why he stuck close to her as he knew full well if Inferno learns of her she would be in constant danger. Thus by his honor as a Lumen Sage until he can find a way home Tyr would do what he can to protect Rachel Dare by any means necessary.
