Hey guys! So, I haven't really been writing Bubble Beginnings lately. I was mainly focused on helping my friend and fellow author ReaderandWriter9000 write his BGTY stories. I promise I'll get back to writing Bubble Beginnings, but for now, I am going to write a story from another Bubble Guppies universe, specifically the BGTY canon.

Like my Bubble Beginnings stories, this one is about one of the character's younger years. This character is not a merchild like the Guppies, but he's such an important character in the show. So, without further ado, let's get on with the story!

This story goes to the BGTY author ReaderandWriter9000.

"Finally, the Rainbow Fish had only one shining scale left. His most prized possessions had been given away, yet he was very happy."

The little orange fish squirm around his seat as his grandmother read him the end of one of his favorite bedtime stories, "The Rainbow Fish".

"'Come on, Rainbow Fish,' they called. 'Come and play with us!' 'Here I come,' said the Rainbow Fish and, happy as a splash, he swam off to join his friends."

"The End," the old fish said, closing the book. "Well, that's it for tonight."

"Come on, Granny. Just one more story," the little fish begged his grandmother. "Please?"

"Sorry, Tino," she said. "I'm too tired to read any more. Besides, don't you have school tomorrow?"

Tino sighed in defeat as Granny placed the book back on the shelf. "Time to skedaddle up those stairs and into your bed. Pappy will come by to tuck you in. Goodnight, sugar," she said, kissing her grandson on the cheek.

"Goodnight, Granny!" Tino called out as he swam upstairs and into his bedroom.

The young fish sat on his bed he waited for his grandfather (or "Pappy" as he likes to call him) to come and wish him "goodnight". Tino clutched onto Bubba, his beloved stuffed fish. "She" was a birthday gift from his parents, back when they were still around. The boy has been living with his grandparents for a couple years now, and even though he was too young to remember what happened to his folks, he didn't seem to care much. After all, he had Pappy and Granny. And he had some good friends at school. That's one of a few things he liked about his school.

Tino heard his door open. An old orange fish with a mustache came in. "Ready for school tomorrow, sonny?" he asked.

"I guess," little Tino sighed as he got under the covers.

"That Guppy's still giving you a hard time, I see," Pappy said thoughtfully. Tino responded with a nod.

"He took my lunch again. He also ripped out the pages off of a book and blamed me for it. Ms. Coral made me stay inside during recess."

"Sounds like you had a tough day," Pappy said, patting his head gently. "Well, what am I always telling you?"

"'Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,'" said Tino.

"That's right, my boy," said Pappy, tucking his grandson in. "Don't let that kid get to you. Anger can be a pretty dangerous thing. Don't you forget it."

And with that, Pappy pecked Tino on the forehead and swam out of the room. "Night, Tiny Tino," he whispered, quietly closing the door.

"Night, Pappy," the boy whispered back to him.

As he drifted off to sleep, he thought to himself, "Tomorrow's a brand-newday. I will not let that boy bother me." And with that, little Tino fell asleep with Bubba in his arms and a smile on his face.

The quotes written in this chapter are from the 1992 children's book, "The Rainbow Fish" written by Marcus Pfister.
