Yuga landed on a crystal table as he saw Twilight and Applejack appeared with him in a flash of purple magic; the two ponies began treating the burns and cuts on Yuga as Twilight asked question and question to the young alicorn.

"So, where did you come from?" Twilight asked as Yuga looked away, unsure how to explain where he landed.

"Where do I start? I mean, I have legit no idea where to begin; and it could take a while to explain myself and why I am here.. if I could even explain that much."

Twilight had a confused expression at this; Yuga didn't know where to start, but why? Applejack decided to step in, "hey it's not like we need the whole story; just how you got in that item." This does put Yuga at more ease as he took a deep breath before beginning. "I was preventing my friends from being like me, I guess you could say I was protecting my friends from a fate I didn't know I would survive. Guess I didn't die, thankfully for that; but I can only question if I can return.."

After an hour of treating the burns, and Yuga practicing to walk on his four hooves beforehoof, Twilight lead Yuga to the main study; seeing him with a slightly sad expression and hoping to raise his spirits if only a bit. The bookshelves went up to the talk ceiling as Twilight's current student, Starlight Glimmer, was looking towards more magic books and noticed Twilight and the new alicorn. "Oh, do we have a surprise visitor? And an alicorn too?"

Yuga, once more, was confused by that and decided now to ask what an alicorn was. "Princess Twilight is one, she is a winged unicorn and is normally royalty in Equestria."

"At least I know what I am here"

Yuga thought as he then saw Starlight's horn is lit and holding the book she previously was reading.

"Starlight, this is Yuga; he's new to Equestria, can you assist me in giving him some magic lessons? This will also count for a friendship lesson for you this week as we will both get to know our new friend here." Twilight asked and Starlight more than agreed, as Yuga looked between the two ponies.

"So I just think of the magic, then this horn will activate that magic?" Yuga asked after getting lesson after lesson on magic, he agreed to this as he figured he should learn how if he wanted even a chance to get home. Starlight nodded and showed a green book in front of her, asking him to pick it up with magic. Yuga stared at the book as he tried to activate the magic hidden inside his horn; after a minute, his horn glowed a green similar to his eye color and he saw the book float in a similar magic color. Curiosity got Yuga as he moved the book closer and opened it, seeing page after page of difficult spells. Only for those with a high degree of magic. "Good, now those spells will be later; only experts can use them." Starlight noticed Yuga was on the page on dragon transformation and looked like he wasn't paying attention. He blinked, dropped the book, and backed away from the book a bit, confusing Starlight and Twilight.

"I.. can we take a quick break?" Yuga asked as Starlight looked at the book, curious why it seemed to bother him; the page had a sketch of a blue dragon and the spell itself, but nothing that looked bothersome to Starlight.

"The dragon possibly spooked you for a minute, we can take a break; besides we do need to get lunch now." Starlight said as Twilight went to get lunch for the three.

"That dragon.. it looked like Dragias"

Yuga thought as he reached into his jacket pocket and held the deck he used against Oets, the one with all his friends' aces, and pulled out Dragias. The card was held by his green magic as Starlight couldn't help but ask what it was.

"It's.. it's why I reacted to that dragon, it was similar to this one. It's my friend's card, his prize possession. I used it to help stop someone, but since I got separated from my friends.. I can't return his ace nor the others I have. Their best cards, and they can't use them while I am here learning about magic."

Yuga soon threw both Dragias and his deck in frustration over the situation, tears threatening to fall from his dark green eyes as he shook them away and walked out of the study, claiming he needed some time to himself. Leaving his deck which scattered around the room and Dragias was one of the two cards that would face up. The other was a magician card with fiery hair and a grin on its face, the card read 'Sevens Road Magician.'

Twilight came to only Starlight and her gathering the strange cards and no sign of Yuga, she quickly asked where Yuga went.

"He.. he got frustrated over something. Then threw these cards in frustration and asked for some time alone." Twilight wanted to know what frustrated the alicorn, and saw the Dragias card; seeing it was similar, if not identical to the sketch in the spell book.

"He took these cards out a while after you left to get lunch, staring at the dragon one. I asked what it was, and he said it's one of his friends' prized possession. He got frustrated over not being able to return the card or having the ability to see his friends again. I think we should give him time to get used to this new change." Starlight explained, however Twilight still wanted to check on their new guest. Starlight gave now gathered cards to Twilight as she went to find Yuga and return what should be his.

Twilight located Yuga after hearing faint sobs from the balcony of the castle and found him, the crown that he was found wearing was in his front hooves and he was staring at the golden and white crown. Streaks on his cheeks tell he had been crying for a while. Twilight only quietly walked to be on the right side of Yuga, "Starlight told me you needed time, but can I offer some kind words for you?" Yuga looked at Twilight, the excitement from earlier was buried by worry and guilt, he nodded as he went back to looking at his crown.

"You said that you protected your friends from a fate they wouldn't survive; and you said you want to see them again. Well, can't that be your motivation to learn magic? And that magic could repair your vessel, it might take longer than expected; but it's possible, and then you can return your friend's dragon."

Twilight showed the deck which had Sevens Road Magician on top which Yuga knew why she picked that card on top, fearing seeing Dragias would make things worse.

"Besides, I also am the Princess of Friendship; and I know that friendship continues even after separation, you will see your friends again and they will welcome you back regardless of how long. They will be happy to see you once more, alive and safe; from how you described this fate, they think you are missing or dead. Surprise them by proving you can make it to your home." Yuga had wide eyes at the fact of Twilight being the Princess of Friendship, then smiled before grabbing his deck and placing it back in the pocket of his jacket. "Thanks.. I needed that reminder, I have a lot to learn about this world, magic, and how to repair my ship. But it will be one thing at a time, not all at once." Yuga also placed the crown on his head as he walked towards the entrance of the balcony before looking back at Twilight, the small smile had become a grin similar to what Sevens Road Magician had on his card, as the two ponies returned to Starlight to have lunch and continue the magic lessons.

At night, Yuga was back at the balcony; smiling softly at the starry night sky.

"Luke, Romin, Gakuto, I don't think you can hear me or what I will say; but I will return and I will return your aces, the others too. They will be my reminder that I have something to do, and I will also bring what I made back too; just need to rebuild the program once more." Yuga then raised his hoof to the sky, a confident smile on as he shouted "Rush Duel" before ducking back inside and heading to the room he had for the time being. Now with a goal to return, he knew the next day was going to be the start of reaching that goal.
