Time for another chapter, after this we go to canon My Little Pony episodes. The movie will come first, then Season 8. the movie is not going to be one chapter, and the movie chapters (all but one at this point) are on the Archive on your Own version.
But enough of this intro, let's give Yuga some flying lessons and meet Rainbow Dash.
The sun rises into the crystal room of Yuga, he had to use one until he fixed his ship enough to be a sustainable living place. The room is standard for the castle, bed by the left side, walls shine of clear and purple colored crystals matching the rest of the castle. Though Yuga had been awake, been for an hour, looking through his current decks, separating his friend's cards from his and placing them in a separate case while smiling.
A knock on his door has him look and say "it's open" as it opens to show Spike, Twilight's dragon she got from a magic exam.
"Good morning Yuga, Twilight plans to do flying lessons today for you after breakfast; just letting you know ahead of time." Spike says as Yuga nods before looking at his wings. Yesterday was standard magic and he knew his wings would not just for show.
"I guess I needed those eventually, mostly as they are the closest I have to hands from my original world."
Spike tilted his head curious, but didn't ask further; only allowing Yuga to come down when ready and heading down himself.
A few minutes later, Yuga joined Twilight, Starlight, and Spike for breakfast as Twilight suggested something to the group.
"I say Yuga can't be traveling until we feel we are ready to reveal him." Yuga was confused before Starlight continued. "Alicorns are rare here, mostly royalty, so having a non-royal alicorn might bring some unwanted attention so we hope you don't mind Yuga. At least until we can find a way to hide your alicorn status." Yuga nods, agreeing with this idea as the group readies for breakfast.
After breakfast, Twilight lead Yuga to a spot outside the castle; a place where she could help him with flying. "Now I was not born with wings, so I might not be good; but I will give you the basics. If needed, I have two friends who are pegasi if you wish to learn more." Yuga opens his wings as Twilight shows him a basic wing movement. To hover off the ground then land on her hooves. At first, Yuga's wings were out of sync, causing an unstable landing; but he still landed on his hooves before a pegasus noticed the two.
Rainbow Dash was just racing around Ponyville, the only part of her that could be seen was her rainbow mane and tail as she soon landed on a cloud by Twilight's castle. She saw Twilight hovering and another pony, an alicorn at that. She raced down as he landed rather sloppily and walks to see.
"Ha, I knew I saw a horn. Twilight, who's the new alicorn?" Rainbow asks as Yuga turns and looks at the blue pegasus with wide eyes. "Rainbow, keep your voice down; and Yuga, this is one of those pegasus friends I mentioned earlier. Rainbow Dash." Yuga calms himself down and smiles at Rainbow. "Yuga Ohdo is my name, Twilight is giving me flying lessons; I know I am not good yet, but I will get more comfortable with flying. I hope to return to my home, and flying will make it easier." Rainbow was interested and asked to stick around, give some tips. "Cause I happen to be the best flyer in all of Pony.. no in all of Equestria in fact. You will be in good hooves with me helping you fly, I helped Twilight when she first got her wings after all."
The rest of the morning was on wing workouts, getting the wings to move in sync when flapping. By lunch, Yuga could hover and land better than when Twilight taught him. The four ponies sat around the throne room, having lunch while sharing small talk. Twilight noticed how excited Yuga got when talking about his home, mentioning his so called "roads" and how he made them. "Sounds like you like to make stuff, huh Yuga?" Rainbow asks as Yuga proudly nods, "yeah I love messing with all things machine like. This place doesn't have a ton of machines for me to look at, but I have my ship when I feel ready to head back there. And find the best way to get there without being spotted." Twilight smiled, only a day ago; Yuga was sad about being away from his friends. But now here he was, proudly talking with a smile with Rainbow Dash over lunch. "Trust me Yuga, we will do everything in our power to get you home; until then, you now know you have friends here. If you get homesick, let us know; sometimes talking about your problems can help take your mind off them."
Yuga nods as they continued lunch and went back to more flying lessons. By the time the sun started to set, Yuga was able to hover, fly, and control the direction he was going. Now he was resting on a cloud, surprised that he could even sit on it let alone rest on it, Rainbow was next to him as they watched the sunset. "You did good dude, can't wait to see you good enough to race me and have some chance of winning." Yuga laughs at what Rainbow said before shaking his head. 'She is similar to Luke, but I am not sad by the reminder this time.' Yuga thought as Rainbow went to her cloud, waving bye as Yuga climbed down and entered the castle; having dinner with Twilight, Spike, and Starlight before heading to bed for another day of learning about Equestria.
