"And now, because you didn't eat your vegetables last night, it's time for screaming with Luan." said Lincoln sitting on a row of bleachers outside. "We go to my sister Lynn Jr, who is in the middle of the baseball championship game."
Lynn Jr stepped up to home plate, lucky bat in hand, ready to knock one out of the park.
"It's the bottom of the ninth and all Lynn has to do is score a homerun and her team will be junior league champions for the third year in a row."
Lynn casually yawned as two balls flew past her, she did not even attempt to hit them. "Strike one! Strike two!" shouted the umpire.
"Uh oh, two strikes," said Lincoln. "The game all comes down to this."
This time Lynn readied herself, taking a batting stance when home plate hinged open like a trap door and Luan jumped out. "Heyyy Lynn!" she shouted.
Lynn jumped in fright, missing the pall that whizzed past her.
"Strike three! You're out! Hazeltucky wins!"
Lynn pressed her face up to Luan's, the young jock snarled like an angry bull, puffs of hot breath steaming out of her nostrils. "Could I interest you in some peanuts or cracker jacks?" Luan asked nervously.
"Hm, looks like Luan messed up Lynn's game." said Lincoln. "Maybe now she'll be deemed bad luck and get locked out of the house."
