"Chief, they…" Shi Baqi sized up Wang Long and the meches in awe. He couldn't sense any vital energy or internal force in them. However, their fierceness frightened him.

Around the entire City East, everyone knew the leader of the Sirius Gang, Jiang Li, had a group of powerful subordinates that killed without blinking like an army.

After seeing them so closely, Shi Baqi respected Jiang Li even more.

"I do." Wang Pingyuan pondered and answered without hesitation, "However, I'm not really close to him. Zhang Ling is the State Lord's 'advisor.' He always gives suggestions to the State Lord."

We haven't found anything special for the moment. According to our current speed and the information Shi Baqi gave us, we'll be at Stone Village before the evening."

"Okay." Jiang Li nodded. "It's not safe to go around at night. If you arrive at Stone Village after it gets dark, just stay still and continue tomorrow."

"Got it." XX02 nodded.

"If anything happens, contact XX01 immediately and report the situation to me." Jiang Li continued.

"Yes." XX02 nodded seriously again.

Jiang Li kept the video call going for a whole hour so he wouldn't waste the energy point. When the time was up, the projection disappeared.

"Catch a peak-stage monster," Jiang Li immediately said, "And kill all the remaining ones."

"Yes." Wang Long replied.

On the screen, the nine meches got closer to the monsters at their fastest speed.

Poof! Wang Long first approached a patrolling monster. His dagger created a beam of light and the monster's head dropped as blood splashed.

In an instant the monsters reacted. They were all astonished. They quickly picked up the weapons next to them and rushed forward fiercely.

Swish! Swish! Wang Long and the meches made way. Behind them a perfected-stage Firearm Mech had already set up the machine gun. He pointed at the thirty monsters ahead of him and pulled the trigger.

Clatter, clatter… The machine gun fired. In a blink the bullets fell like raindrops and they pierced through the body of the monsters. There was blood and screams everywhere.

"Argh!"

"What's that?"

"Fall back! Fall back!"

"Raise your shields! Raise your shields!"

The monsters screamed. Their formation became messy and they were frightened.

A few minutes later, a 1200 rounds of bullets were finished. The entire battlefield was in chaos. Thirty monsters were shot and their dead bodies were all over the place.

A Firearm Mech of perfected-stage level one was extremely vicious. Only Martial Artists of the same level could withstand the shooting of the machine gun and get close to the Firearm Mech. If not, even those at the peak stage of level one couldn't do so.

The Ancient Pine Hall was one of the four halls of the Quicksand Gang, which became Quicksand Hall after Jiang Li took over the Quicksand Gang. So, Ancient Pine Hall also became one of the halls of the Sirius Gang.

Gu Tianqi used to be the Deputy Hall Master of Ancient Pine Hall and he was the Hall Master now.

"Chief Jiang." Yang Zike, the State Lord, was wearing a green, elegant gown. He bowed to Jiang Li. "I'm Yang Zike, the State Lord of Yongan City."

"My Lord." Jiang Li sized up Yang Zike. He was handsome and he carried the power of a government official. "It's late already. Why are you here? Is there something urgent? Besides, if I remember correctly, the government office thinks I'm working with the Monsters. The City Guards even took all of the herbs we got."

"Chief Jiang, it's a misunderstanding. I was indeed too reckless." Yang Zike apologized and said, "You got a bum rap because of me. I hope you can forgive me."

"It's alright." Jiang Li waved. "If you really want to make it up to me, give me back the herbs that the City Guards took."

Yang Zike smiled wryly. "Chief Jiang, I can't command the City Guards. It isn't something easy to do."

Rustle, rustle… The five thousand reserved soldiers quickly ran to the sides of the road and looked for places to hide. They were all hiding somewhere for a short period of time.

After a while, nine tall, brawny men showed up. It was a patrol team that walked past the road. Because of the dark and the dense forest, they didn't notice Jiang Li and the rest of the people.
