Chapter 16 - Kidnapping Attempt

In the previous chapter, the backstory on how the Deity World was created and the origin life of Kuroma, the first deity hunter of the entire history and also the first encounter with Saihara, whom she was secretly obsessed with. Back at the present time, Tom, Jerry, Gon, Killua and Leorio were all very determined of Kurapika in defeating against Saihara, despite of his fear from his past life. On the other hand, Saihara had a meeting on how to fight against Kurapika and the other hunters in the upcoming battle war fight.

3 days before the war battle against Saihara and her armies, the hunters were prepared their own battle techniques and formations, thanks that Kurapika made a sketch in a large paper.

While everyone were still busily moving around, Asurina went approached to Kurapika, was standing, watching at the skies.

" Uh, Kurapika. "

He turned his back, surprised " Yes, what is it, Asurina? "

" Aren't you gonna come along with Mr Tom and your friends in preparing? "

" Just let them be. Do you ever forgot.. I'm always to be ready, as long as my Nen power ability was getting far more stronger than ever despite I'm not very powerful than the others but I will gonna do my best. Don't need to be worried that much. " with a smile on his face

" Kurapika... "

That very moment, Tom enters in, saying " They were all done, Kurapika. "

" Sure thing, Tom and besides.. we are almost prepared for the battle strike in the next few days. " Kurapika said

" Um.. I need to asked you for a favor. "

" Yes, what is it? "

" Will you mind.. can we spend time together... just the two of us tonight? "

This makes Kurapika was confused of what she had said.

" we... spend time together... tonight? You got to be joking me.. "

" I'm not joking, Kurapika. I'm so serious about it. Is because... " and she paused for a moment in silence while Kurapika is still looking at her

A few seconds, Jerry and Gon enters in, went approached to Tom.

" What was going on anyway? " Jerry asked, with curiosity

" I don't know. I think Asurina wanted to confessed something to Kurapika. " Tom said in response

" confessed something? of what, Tom? " Gon asked

" You will see... " Tom said, with a little laughter on his face

After a few minutes ago, Asurina responded in a normal tone voice manner, with a deep sigh, said " Is because... we are childhood friends for many years ago, despite that everything will gonna changed that much... after all, fate had brought us together... to learned of what is the real meaning of love.. and so I will gonna do everything for you... even until my last breath... "

She kneeled down in front of him, while Kurapika was still looking at him, still confusing. She get something from her pocket, a small box and she holded it with both of her hands.

" Asurina... what's was the meaning of this? "

" My life will be devoted to you always, Kurapika and nothing else... " and she opened the small box, showing a diamond ring on it

This makes Kurapika was surprised.

" Will you marry me, Kurapika? "

Tom, Jerry and Gon were surprised, with happiness on their faces. Killua, Leorio and the other hunters came in, with Hisoka as well.

Killua, went approached to Gon, asked " What was going on in here? "

" Miss Asurina will gonna proposed to Kurapika. " Gon said in response

" Say what?! " Killua said in a surprise manner

Kurapika paused for a moment and after a few seconds, he responded in a normal voice manner, with delight on his face " Yes, Asurina! Yes, I will! "

She placed the diamond ring on his finger and the two shared a romantic hug.

Tom, Jerry, Gon, Killua and Leorio went approached to them.

" Are you really going to getting married? That's was too sudden! " Leorio said in a surprise manner

" I didn't expected that Asurina will gonna proposed to me today even though the war battle was not over yet. " Kurapika said

" Wow, congrats, Kurapika. I'm so very proud of you. " Gon said, with a thumbs up pose

" Thanks, Gon. " Kurapika said, with a smile on his face

" You and Miss Asurina were so meant to be together. After all, you two are the strongest fighters ever. " Jerry said

" Thanks for saying that, Jerry. " Kurapika said

" So... when will be the date of your wedding celebration? " Tom asked

" Well... he and I will discussed the wedding plans after the war battle. " Asurina responded

" Oh, I see... " Tom muttered

The two were looking at each other, in a romantic manner.

" Ugh, I wished I have a strong and tough girlfriend just like her. She was very lucky for Kurapika. " Leorio said, with an upset sigh

Gon, tapped his hand on his shoulder, cheered him up " Don't you need to be worry that much, you will gonna find your own true love someday. "

" Thanks for saying that, Gon. " Leorio said

" Well, both of you will gonna spend your time together tonight? " Jerry asked

" Yeah it is, Jerry. After a few days of preparation, everything will gonna be ready for the war battle. We will gonna win in this fight, I'm so sure of it. " Kurapika said in response

" Wow, you are really so very satisfied of your actions, Kurapika. But somehow, you have to put aside your rageness and anger in inside your heart and besides, you had already fought the leader of the Phantom Troupe a few months ago. " Jerry said to him

" You are really quite an optimistic mouse, Jerry. I had seen in inside your soul of your aura, was so very pure than the others. " Kurapika said

" A close friend of mine tells me that making some perspective choices is making you a better wiseman. Just like you, his personality was so very serious and hotheaded. " Jerry stated

Kurapika smiled of what he had said, answered " A better wiseman, indeed... " holding Asurina's hand, tightly

" I liked that smile of yours, Kurapika. " Killua said

" Thanks, Killua. " Kurapika said

" Maybe you should asked permission from your employer... just to make sure. " Leorio said

" Okay, sure. " Kurapika replied

Asurina, turned her head, facing to him " So.. are you getting hungry? Let's buy some food at the convenience store nearby. "

" Oh, no problem. " Kurapika answered and he turned to Jerry, said in a normal tone " Just take care of the rest, okay? "

" We will. You two lovebirds go ahead. " Jerry said

The two leave away.

" lovebirds, eh? I like the sound of that. " Killua said, with a happy smirk on his face

" Yeah, after all... they are both belonged to Kurta clan... Miss Asurina was the only person whom Kurapika can depended with. " Tom stated

" Wait... do you think Saihara knows about this? If she finds out that Kurapika was already proposed to Asurina, it will be gonna be a love raging war battle... just like last time. " Gon asked, with an anxious expression on his face

" Don't worry, Gon. It will never happen that way and besides, it will be more focused on between him and Saihara. What gives. " Jerry responded

" Oh, I see... " Gon muttered, nodded his head, still with anxious expression on his face

But unbeknownst to them, at the other side of the building, a mysterious man was watching, heard the entire conversation. After a few seconds, the mysterious man left away, with a little evil laughter on his face.

Later that evening, Asurina and Kurapika went to the room upstairs.

" Well... I must changed my outfit right away in a few minutes at my room, Asurina. "

" No problem, Kurapika. I'll be waiting at the lobby. "

He leaved out while Asurina went to the other room, to changed her clothes too. After a few minutes later, she had heard a loud noise from the other side.

" What was that? "

She rushed out of the room, already weared her new clothes, went to the other side, in which the room where Kurapika was staying at. Luckily, she sees Melody.

" Melody! "

She was surprised, went approached to her " Oh, it was you, Asurina. What was all the rush? "

" I had heard a loud noise. I think it was came from Kurapika's room. "

" Kurapika was in there? Why he wasn't with you? "

" He told me that he will gonna changed his outfit for a few minutes but later on, I had heard a loud noise. "

" Let's check it out. "

" Sure thing "

The two went hurriedly. When the reached to the room in which where Kurapika was staying at, Asurina knocked the door loudly.

" Kurapika! Are you in there? Answer me! "

She tries to opened the door. When she opened it, she was shocked that they were some pile of glass shards from the window. But there was no sign of him anywhere.

" Oh, no... what was in the world was going on? " Melody wondered, with a surprise expression on her face

Tom and Jerry enters in.

" What was going on in here? " Jerry asked

" Kurapika was disappeared. " Asurina said

" Say what?! But that was impossible! It was full of security cameras around the entire hotel. " Tom said, with a surprise expression on his face

" I don't know. Who did such a thing just like that... I must find that culprit and bring Kurapika back. " Asurina responded, with a little anger on her face, gripped both of her hands while Jerry was looking at her, was so very curious of her reaction

On the other hand, the news of Kurapika's second disappearance was reached to the ears of Saihara, was shocked in surprised, thinking that it was the new enemy, ordered her servants to tracked the culprit down. On the other side in the prison room, Maki, had finally regained consciousness, was surprised that he was at the hideout of Saihara.

A few days before the upcoming war battle, Asurina had proposed to Kurapika and he accepted her proposal but however, he was mysteriously went missing for the second time. And so, both Asurina and Saihara were decided to tracked the culprit down.

Who was the mysterious man anyway? What was his mysterious secret connection to the love relationship of Asurina and Kurapika? Will it could be a new enemy of the hunters or the new enemy of Saihara and the Akumus?
