This chapter is brought to you by Vlad Masters' secret notes from experiments, budgeting, and stalking. Halfway through writing this, I decided that I wasn't going to have the exact notes in my writing, but imply certain things. Rather than deleting my half-written notes, I figured you might find them entertaining. Enjoy this little peek into what Vlad's up to as well as some completely unrelated scribblings.

(July 2nd) Created first working clone, failed chromosome alignment. Unsure of what makes this different from the failed attempts. Not enough data on mid-morph DNA. Sending clone to collect.
July 15th, Attempt one failed. Could not salvage remains of ectoplasm. Lasted 14 seconds. Reason for melting? Unknown. Did not gain consciousness.
July 24th, Attempt two failed. Arificial core unstable, placed in stasis before death. Lasted 2 days. Clones have potential to gain consciousness, but many neural pathways missing. Could not maintain ghostly form, narrowly avoided core implosion.

September 12th, Ninth attempt successful. Created ecto-blasts without meltdowns and stable ghost form. Vitals match original Daniel's. Stable. Finally stable. Clueless, a blank slate. Is it finally time to end these experiments? Am I done with failed husks for good?
