Giulia really ran from Alberto like she's not going to see him at the dinner table later tonight.
She laid in her bed, staring at the ceiling.
Her hand resting on her flat stomach.
She sighed anxiously.
Giulia's been really anxious lately.
Why?
She's been in her room for a few hours, and the sun is begging to set.
It's only 5 until night, till she heard a knock at the front door.
She slowly sat up, then slipped her legs off the bed.
Letting her bear feet meet the tile.
"Giulietta, Luca's here!" Her father called.
Giulia's face lit up.
Finally, someone different.
Giulia got up off her bed, then walked downstairs to see Luca waiting at the front door.
"Hey Luca!" Giulia said, calmly coming in for a hug.
Luca hugged back.
"Hey Giulia!" Luca exclaimed.
"You kids have fun, I'll call when dinner's ready." Massimo chuckled.
Giulia and Luca walked to the backyard, where Giulia's little tree house was.
"By the way, have you seen Alberto?" Luca asked, stopping in his tracks.
"Umm, I don't know, last time I saw him was down there." Giulia said, pointing down the ally.
Both continue to climb up, then chill for a little bit.
Talking about stars, solar systems, Milky Way, all the science stuff.
School, new things, then Giulia went on to a new topic.
"So Luca, how's the family?" Giulia asked.
"Great! They won the crab contest." Giulia looked at him in confusion.
"Crab contest?" Giulia questioned.
"Just to see whose crab is best." Luca told her.
"Oh." Giulia said.
Things got really quiet after that.
Nothing else to talk about, no subject.
And Giulia REALLY didn't want to talk about Alberto, or talk to him at all.
Why is she shutting him out?
But Luca had the audacity to bring him up.
"Seriously, where is Alberto?" Luca looked around the place, to see if he could spot him.
"Maybe he-" but before Giulia could try to make a good reason of his disappearance.
Alberto's head popped up from the edge.
"Hey." He said.
Giulia jumped up slightly in shock.
Was he there the whole time?
"Alberto, where have you been?" Luca asked, Giulia sitting silent.
"Went to the island for a bit. Now c'mon, Massimo finished cooking." He guided them, climbing back down the ladder.
Luca followed behind.
Giulia reluctantly came with.
They walked through the front, Giulia last to close the door.
The three walked into the kitchen to see plates of pesto at each chair.
Massimo setting up his own plate.
"Ah, there you are, come sit." He said.
Luca sat at the end of the table, Alberto sitting next to him.
Leaving Giulia no choice but to sit next to him.
Her heart pounded slightly, but she tried not to act out in front of her father.
So she had to calm down a bit.
Now sitting next to Alberto, knowing he's just eyeing her.
She looked in the corner of her eye, and she was right.
He was looking at her.
Giulia quickly looked back at her plate, then picked at the noodles.
"So Giulietta, how was the delivery's today?" Her papa asked.
She looked up at him.
"O-oh, I-it was ok."
"No encounters with Ercole?" He asked.
"…no." She lied.
She didn't feel like talking about anything.
But usually Giulia would be chewing his ear off.
"What about you Alberto? Your day was good, yes?" He asked.
"Yep, went to the island for a little bit, found some cool shells but forgot to bring them over." Alberto said, slurping up some noodles.
"What about you Luca?" Massimo knew he put him on the spot when Luca looked up at him with a smile.
"It was quite the day." Instead of Giulia talking his ear off, it was Luca's turn.
She tried not to draw attention to herself, and just stayed quiet eating her pasta.
She had so much on her mind.
She wanted to get out of there as quick as possible.
But if she eats to fast, she'll throw up non stop.
Her thoughts were stoped when she felt something grab her thigh.
Her eyes widened, stopped chewing, then slowly looked down.
Finding Alberto's hand groping at her thigh.
Slowly getting further up.
Giulia's free hand that was resting on her other thigh, tightened her grip on her jean's every time he go further.
She didn't bother to look at him.
She just gulped down her pasta.
"Giulietta?"
Giulia looked up at her papa, him not noticing what's going on.
"Are you alright? You've been really quiet." He mentioned.
Giulia looked at Alberto, and he was just casually eating his pasta…while grabbing Giulia by the thigh.
"Uhh…n-no reason just…not feeling good." She said.
She moved her thighs closer together, making Alberto let go.
Luca looked at the clock above.
"Well, I should be getting home anyway." He got out of his seat.
"Thank you for dinner Massimo." He thanked.
"Bye guys." Luca said, hugging them both.
"See yea later." He waved, then they both waved back.
"Well papa, I should be heading to bed, I'm really tired." Giulia said, getting up out of her chair.
"Really? It's only 7-"
"Yeah, well I um gotta get my beauty rest." Giulia said backing up slowly.
"Good night." She said, running up the stairs, ran into her room, then closed the door.
She didn't even bother to help with the dishes.
She just had to get out of there.
Once she finally caught breath, she changed into some sleep shorts and a tight ting top.
She took off her hat, turned off the lights.
Then climbed into bed.
Hopefully, tomorrow will be better.
