Silvester quickly led Skylar over to the bus station he and Bentley had went to a few days prior. The temperature had dropped drastically overnight without warning.

"I thought it was supposed to be warm today." Skylar muttered. She didn't account for the cold day, as she was wearing her short sleeve gray shirt with her jeans and sneakers. She felt her ears, which was easily the coldest part of her body. She untied her hair and let it fall down, attempting to cover her ears with what she could.

"I'm sorry I thought it was going to warm up." Silvester shivered. He too wasn't dressed for the weather, only wearing a white shirt and basketball shorts.

"Well I hope this bus comes soon. I think we have bigger problems to worry about." She eyed over at the apartment building, which was not too far away. Silvester just ignored her and prayed the bus would come soon.

Just a few minutes later, the bus finally showed up. Skylar and Silvester quickly boarded after paying the driver. Thankfully they had more than enough money to ride. Skylar looked around the bus with a disgusted look. One of her fears was public transportation, and her fears were being validated right at that moment. Unlike the last time Silvester rode the bus, the bus was full this time, forcing the kids to stand. It had a mixture between homeless looking people and, well, normal looking people, but to Skylar it seemed to be more homeless. The bus stunk too, smelling like a combination of sweat and sewer.

"This better not take long." She muttered angrily to Silvester.

"It won't. Just hold on to one of these rails. Hopefully someone will stand up soon." Silvester grabbed hold of one of the handrails to keep himself sturdy during the ride. The bus soon jolted forward and began to move fast. Skylar fell down due to not holding on, and couldn't seem to get herself back up.

"Damn it." She groaned. She wasn't hurt, just annoyed. This was her very first public bus ride after all, and so far it was not going well. Silvester reached over with one hand and pulled her right up. She quickly grabbed a rail to prevent falling over again. "Thanks."

"Keep holding on." He commanded. "This bus is not going to stop for you."

Nobody got off the bus for the entire journey to Bentley's house. Thankfully, the bus soon displayed their next stop, right next to Bentley's street. Silvester smiled big, relieved he was going to get off the hell ride soon. He quickly smashed the stop button to warn the driver that his stop was coming up.

"How did you know we are supposed to stop here?" Skylar asked.

"Uncle B told me." Silvester smiled. "Bus rides aren't hard to figure out, you know."

Skylar rolled her eyes. "Doesn't mean it's fun, though."

The bus came to a screeching halt at their stop. They quickly rushed out the door excited to finally get off the bus. Once they got safely to the bus stop, the bus driver swiftly closed the doors and drove away.

Skylar looked around for a bit, not recognizing where she was. "You sure we are at the right place? I don't see uncle B's house anywhere."

"Well it's a bit down the road." Silvester pointed straight down an older road that looked like it had gone on forever.

Skylar shrugged and straightened her backpack to start on their little walk. They started walking down the street and looked at the older homes all around them. The houses varied with some being huge mansions and some being tiny shacks. Landscaping varied too with houses looking abandoned all the way up to million dollar landscaping work. The street wasn't too bad, but it could use new paving. Luckily for the twins, there was a fairly nice sidewalk they could walk down to avoid getting hit on the road. They quickly swerved over to the sidewalk and continued on their journey.

"How far is uncle B's house?" Skylar groaned.

"It shouldn't be too much farther. How are you tired, we've only walked a few feet!" Silvester teased.

"My feet are hurting from yesterday." She whined. "Plus I have a heavy statue in my backpack I'm hauling."

"I don't mind carrying that, you know."

Skylar shook her head. "I got it. Besides, you can be…well…clumsy sometimes."

"I'm not clumsy!" Silvester yelled. "I wasn't the one who fell down on the bus ride!"

"That wasn't my fault. Besides, you can't climb or run across thin wires like me, can you?" Skylar laughed.

Silvester crossed his arms. "No, but I don't need to. I can come up with ideas, which you can't." Silvester soon spotted Bentley's house a little ways down. He pointed over to it and looked at Skylar. "See, I told you it was coming up. There it is!"

Skylar sighed. "Well that's good I guess. I was starting to think we were lost."

"But we hadn't been walking that long. What, maybe a minute? Two max?"

"Like I said, my feet are hurting." Skylar complained some more. "You got to sit and watch me, so I'd imagine you could use the exercise."

Just a few short minutes later they walked up to Bentley's front yard. Silvester walked up to the front door and waited for his sister, who was clearly moving slowly on purpose. He looked over at her and nodded, soon ringing the doorbell. After a few seconds, Bentley answered the door, looking at both of them with confusion.

"Skylar? Silvester? What are you doing here?" He looked around his front yard, failing to spot Carmelita or her car. "Where is your mom?"

"Not important." Skylar responded. She pulled out the statue from her backpack and showed it to Bentley.

"Get inside." Bentley rushed the kids inside, hoping nobody had seen them. He shut the door behind them and crossed his arms. "Now, I'm not even going to ask where you two got that."

"It's going to find our dad, I know it." Skylar looked at Bentley with pleading eyes. "Uncle B, you know as well as I do our dad needs to come home. Can you please take us to him? I have the artifact now."

Bentley scratched his chin. He really wanted to take them both right now into the time machine and leave, but he also knew if Carmelita found out about all of this, everyone was doomed.

Penelope soon stepped out of the tech room, staring at the twins in shock after seeing the artifact. "You guys got it?" She brushed off a remote she had been holding. "Well, good timing, I fixed the time machine."

Bentley rolled his eyes. "Look, both of you need to go home. We can figure this out later, okay?"

Murray quickly ran into the living room, appearing out of nowhere holding a donut. "Hey guys!" He cheered. "You come to share some donuts with me?"

"I told you to lay off those donuts or you're gonna lose your muscle!" Bentley barked.

"I need my snacks, Bentley. Besides, I just can't separate from the precious pink iced donuts with sprinkles. They just look so delicious." Murray took another bite out of his donut.

Bentley ignored Murray and went back to the kids. "I'm worried about you two, you know. You both really screwed up."

Skylar raised an eyebrow. "Screwed up? How did we screw up? We found another way to get dad back."

Bentley sighed. "Okay, maybe I worded that wrong. To me, that's awesome and very helpful. But if your mom finds out about all of this, we're dead!"

"She won't." Silvester interrupted. "Not if we leave now."

Bentley went quiet for a while. He still needed to scan the artifact to see if it was even from the right time period before they even left. If it wasn't, everyone was going to get screwed hard.

"By the way, I owe you an apology." Silvester looked down at the ground with an ashamed look.

"Why?"

Silvester just handed the Thievius Raccoonus to Bentley without responding. Bentley felt a little betrayed, but understood.

"Look at…" Skylar was trying to figure out how to pronounce his name. "You know, the Egyptian guy, from 1300 BC." Skylar shyly mentioned.

Bentley soon opened the book, reading carefully about what Skylar was talking about. He soon spotted the note Sly had written, freaking out as a result. "Oh my God!" He cried. "PENELOPE YOU GOT IT ALL WRONG!"

"What?" Penelope was genuinely confused. She was certain she knew exactly where Sly was.

"Sly is in 1300 BC Egypt! One more strike and you're out, Penelope!"

Penelope turned red in embarrassment. "I'm sorry. I didn't know that, really I didn't. I got the Egypt part right though."

Bentley rolled his eyes and wheeled over to his tech room. He placed the artifact into his machine he had used to read the vase and closed the glass door. The machine lit up and soon displayed something on the monitor. Bentley read it and smiled really big. "Hey guys, you did it! This is going to take us to the correct time!"

Skylar and Silvester looked at each other, not sure how to react. Finally they were told some good news.

Bentley was so filled with happiness he could hardly speak. "Guys come on, hurray. We have to go back. Get into the time machine." He rolled out to find Murray. "Murray, come back here! We're going to Egypt!"

Murray ran back into the room. "Egypt? Is Sly there?"

"Yes! Yes he is! Come on, we need to hurray."

Penelope soon followed the gang into the room. "Wait for me."

"No way." Bentley stopped her. "You need to stay here in case something happens. You're lucky I trust you that much to do that."

Penelope backed up with no response. She kept forgetting she was on thin ice with Bentley. He did have a point though. What if something happened? Bentley would have no way of getting in touch with anyone if that happened. "Well, in that case just take these." She handed Bentley, Murray, Skylar, and Silvester a wrist band and a radio. "I built these yesterday. They are SOS tracking units. Any of you get in trouble, all you have to do is press the button and someone should be able to track you."

Each of them took the device. Skylar and Silvester quickly grabbed their backpacks and rushed over to Bentley. "Okay guys, we gotta get in Murray's van." Bentley instructed.

"Oh boy, I've been waiting for a long time to hear you say that." Murray cheered. "It gets boring to have to drive it alone all the time."

Skylar walked outside in the freezing air and noticed the van parked in the back of the house. The van still looked as good as new, glistening in the sunlight as if glitter was sprinkled on it. It even still had the Cooper logo on the side. Skylar smiled seeing it, she'd never seen such a fine looking vehicle.

Everyone else, except Penelope, followed suit outside. Silvester noticed the van as well. "Wow, Murray, this is your van?"

Murray excitedly jumped into the driver's seat and buckled his seat belt. "Yep, this is my baby. Isn't she a beauty? I just took her to get waxed just last week!"

"I'm glad you kept my time machine up there, Murray. I'll admit I was a bit worried about it." Bentley laughed a bit. He was telling the truth, though. He was afraid Murray had accidentally knocked it off during a race or something.

"Nah. I could never." Murray started the engine up. The van roared loudly, but sounded like a song. It blew some smoke from the exhaust in the back. "Well, what are you guys waiting for? Get in!"

Bentley hopped in the front seat of the van. Silvester examined the back seat a bit confused, not seeing any sort of handle.

Murray turned around and saw his confusion. "Oh, it slides open."

Silvester grabbed the door and slid it open. It glided on the rails much easier than he was expecting. Skylar jumped in the back seat and buckled up, followed by Silvester.

Bentley turned around. "Alright you guys, you're gonna want to hold on tight, it's going to get a bit rough."

"Wait, what?" Silvester started to get nervous.

"Cool." Skylar scooted forward in her seat, really anticipating the ride.

Bentley plugged up the statue and pressed some buttons on the machine. "Alright, punch it Murray."

"Anytime!" Murray slammed his foot into the gas, forcing the van to take off at full speed. He exited the driveway so fast, it was surprising he didn't hit anything. He drove down the street at full speed. Silvester grabbed his seat so tightly when he saw Murray was about to hit another vehicle, but soon everything started to turn a tealish color. Before they knew it, everything around them turned blurry and started to spin. Silvester even felt some weightlessness, as if he was flying. Skylar looked out the window and saw clocks surrounding them. Silvester held on tightly in extreme fear with his hair flying backwards as he screamed in terror. Skylar smiled, feeling as if she was on the coolest roller coaster of her life.

What felt like just seconds, the van suddenly came crashing down from the sky. Skylar continued to enjoy the ride, and felt an extreme adrenaline rush as she saw the van falling face first down. Silvester screamed some more, shielding his eyes in hopes that he didn't have to witness his fate. Before they knew it, the van came to a sudden stop, and not upside down. Skylar was thrown forward due to the stop and crashed into the windshield.

"Skylar, you alright?" Bentley managed to grab her before she hit the glass. She rubbed her head, feeling a little bit of pain but not enough to make her cry or anything.

"Yeah, I'm okay. I'm just glad I didn't hit my nose."

Silvester slid open the door and saw nothing but sand for miles. He felt the extreme dry heat hit his face all at once, making him want to stay in the AC. There were what seemed like thousands of sand dunes everywhere. There was even a camel in the far back with what seemed like no rider. Bentley, Murray, and Skylar all stepped out next and saw what Silvester was seeing.

"Well, I suppose we made it." Bentley straightened his glasses.

"Where are we supposed to go?" Murray asked Bentley with concern.

"I don't know, Murray. Perhaps we will have to look around. How much gas do you have in the tank?"

Murray slipped his head through the open driver's side window and looked at the gauge. "Oh, we are still at a full tank."

"Okay, good. I guess we should all get back in and drive around until we find something. It's too hot to be walking around, especially with limited water."

Murray did not have to drive for very long until the gang saw some unusual buildings. The buildings were small, but looked way too modern to belong in ancient Egypt. Each building appeared to be made of steel and had glass windows covering them. Some even had parking garages. Murray pulled next to the cluster of buildings and dozens of Egyptians were seen carrying large pillars of steel. Some were also carrying other supplies like food and water, including some wealthy looking Egyptians.

"Something isn't right." Bentley mentioned. "I'm no historian, but Egyptians from this time didn't build office buildings."

Silvester thought for a moment trying to remember what he learned about Egypt in school. "Weren't most of the buildings made of sand bricks and clay?"

"Probably." Bentley reached down into the glove box and pulled out his binoculars. He held them up to his face and examined the area closely. He noticed some very out of place looking people wearing suits and carrying flashlights, appearing to be guards. He also noticed several vehicles pulling through the area, some carrying supplies and some just looking nice. "Wait a second, this is not just a small unusual area, it appears a city is being built!"

"A city?" Silvester jumped in the front and squeezed himself between Bentley and Murray. "Sure looks like it! Why would ancient Egyptians want to build a city like this?" Silvester squinted his eyes and noticed some of the guards talking on modern cell phones. "Wait, I thought cell phones didn't come around until the 90s!"

Without warning, Skylar jumped out of the van to get a closer look herself.

"Skylar!" Bentley yelled. "Get back in the van! It's not safe!"

Skylar, ignoring Bentley, noticed a plain looking building that was heavily patrolled by guards. The building had no windows and lights shining all around it. It appeared to be made of solid concrete, and there were no vehicles near it. It was surrounded by an electric fence and barbed wire with tall towers surrounding it. "Is that a prison?" Skylar turned to Bentley and pointed at the building.

Bentley got out of the van to see what Skylar was talking about. He looked through his binoculars and examined the building very closely. "Indeed, I think it is. We certainly got to check it out." He lowered his binoculars and turned to Skylar. "Thanks, but next time don't do anything unless I tell you to. I can't risk you getting hurt, or worse. As far as I know the Egyptians aren't exactly experts on medical science yet." Bentley thought for a bit about the building, wondering if it might contain any clues on what was going on, or clues on where Sly might be. He figured whatever was going on had to be related to Le Paradox or something similar. Why else would a city be built in Egypt like this?

"Well, Skylar, are you prepared to do something for me?" Bentley asked hesitantly. He needed to get into that building, but nobody except Skylar could really enter that building without being seen.

Skylar smiled. "Of course I am. I'm ready for anything."

Silvester walked out of the van to see what was going on. "Uncle B, what's going on?"

"I have no idea, bud. Whatever it is, it can't be good. Skylar spotted an interesting building over there and I think we need to check it out."

Silvester raised an eyebrow. "How exactly are we going to do that?"

Bentley tapped his chin, brainstorming an idea. "Alright, Carmelita is going to kill me for this, but Skylar, you need to enter that building and take some photos from the inside." Bentley went over to the van and pulled out an old binocucom stashed away and handed it to her. "You can use this to talk to me, Murray, or your brother. Take some photos with this, and stay out of sight." He frowned, realizing just what he was asking of the young child. "I REALLY don't want to send you to do this. You sure you're going to be okay?"

"Uncle B, don't worry about me." Skylar smiled. "I managed to get away with that artifact, didn't I?"

"Well…yes." Bentley scratched his head. He placed his binoculars down and grabbed a binocucom. He zoomed in as close as he could to examine any entrance points. "Okay, I see some windows and some pipes you can climb on." He quickly removed his binocucom from his eyes, looking terrified. "Just stay on the ceiling. If it's too much, please don't hesitate to back out. And don't forget your SOS device Penelope gave you before we left. Do not hesitate to use it."

"Don't worry, uncle B. I got this. That building doesn't look too hard to enter."

"Uncle B, are you sure it's okay?" Silvester asked concerningly.

"I…yes." Bentley didn't answer this confidently. He did not want to send Skylar in there, but he knew he had no choice. Murray was too loud and big, Bentley's mobility was limited, and Silvester wasn't strong enough to do the job. This was the only plan he could think of, however, as he didn't have Sly to work with. "Silvester, I'm going to need you here to help me monitor Skylar. Your planning skills are superb. In fact, you're going to monitor Skylar's signals to make sure she doesn't send an SOS." Bentley leaned over towards the van. "Murray? Can you come out here for a second?"

Murray opened the door and walked rather quickly to see what his friend wanted. "Yes?"

"Murray, Skylar is going into that building over there. I'm suspicious of this place and that building might answer what is going on, or even where Sly might be. If that device Silvester is holding goes off, you're gonna need to come with us quickly to get her. It might get rowdy, and you're a good puncher."

"The Murray does not fear nobody." He slammed his fists together aggressively. "Don't worry, Skylar, I'll take care of anyone who gives you trouble."

Skylar smiled. "I'll keep that in mind. Thanks. So do I need to go now?"

Bentley sighed. "Yes, if you're ready. Stay out of sight and call us if anything happens."

Skylar nodded and excitedly ran off into the city. She had never been on a heist like this before, and it excited her greatly. The building she was going to wasn't far at all, and it was fairly easy to stay out of sight of the guards. She climbed up some buildings to try to see if she could enter from above. Once she reached the top of the building, she looked around and noticed it was going to be real easy for her to jump across, as clothes lines littered everywhere.

The weather was extremely hot with absolutely no breeze flowing through at all. Skylar looked around and noticed just how out of place this area really was. She could even see the pyramids in the far back, some not even complete yet. By the looks of it, whatever was going on certainly was not good. Shaking off what she was thinking, she ran along some ropes and hopped between buildings until she reached the concrete building. Luckily for her, there was an air vent on the top she could just barely squeeze through. She opened the vent and sucked in to hold her breath. When she jumped down, the vent was squeezing her very tightly, but just enough where she could breathe. With all her strength, she moved her body downwards until she dropped out in an office. She lifted up the binocucom Bentley gave her to report what was going on.

"I'm in an office, and a nice one too." She whispered.

"An office? Okay, just stay out of sight. See anything interesting?" Bentley answered.

Skylar looked around and saw a lot of prison cells. Despite the amount of cells, it was strangely quiet. She looked closely and noticed most of them were empty. She did see a shadow inside of one at the very bottom, but she couldn't tell if the cell was occupied or if it was just a guard. "All I see are prison cells." She whispered.

"Take some photos and get out of there!" Bentley begged.

Skylar soon started snapping some photos until she felt the floor beneath her start cracking. She quickly stopped and looked down, noticing the floor was starting to cave in. Before she could even respond, the floor collapsed, sending her free falling to the very bottom. She managed to break her fall on some debris, but her worst fear was soon to be realized. As she was holding her nose, hoping it wasn't damaged more, someone shined a light onto her, making her squint.

"Hey you!" The voice shouted.

"Oh…shit." She quickly took a break for it, hitting the SOS button aggressively as she was trying to run away.

She wasn't fast enough, however, soon being plucked up by a large deer. She looked into his face, terrified. All she could see was his police uniform and a very angry expression. "What are you doing here?" He demanded.

"I…uh…"

"Doesn't matter. You're not supposed to be in here. You're coming with me." He marched off into a dark hallway, holding Skylar by her collar.

"Please, I'm only 10!" She begged. "Put me down, I won't tell anyone about this, I promise!"

"Too late for that little missy." The guard soon approached a dark cell and opened the door. "I'm gonna throw you in here with the other one who decided to snoop around. He will tell you what happens when fellas like you go snooping around in here!" Quickly ripping off Skylar's SOS tracker, he soon broke it in half in front of her. With great force, he threw her into the cell, causing her to hit the concrete wall with great force. He slammed the door shut, locking it tightly. "Have fun."

As soon as the guard left, Skylar ran over to the cell door and shook it as hard as she could. "Help!" She cried. "Someone help!"

"Hey." A faint voice in the distance whispered. "Quiet down. If they hear you they're gonna beat you up."

Skylar didn't listen and kept shaking the door. Soon, the stranger approached her and pried her off of it to get her to stop. Skylar turned over to the rude stranger and noticed he looked…familiar.

"Hey, please don't do that. I told you they're gonna get both of us if you keep doing that." He demanded.

Skylar observed the stranger, with great fear. She tucked her tail in between her legs and lowered her head.

The stranger looked at her as well, soon getting very confused. "Wait…how old are you?"

Skylar groaned. "It doesn't matter. I just want to go home. I wasn't supposed to be here."

"Who are you, and why do you look…like me?"

Skylar crossed her arms. "Well who are you? Let's start with that, and would you mind stepping into the light? I can't really see you."

The stranger followed her orders and stepped into a brighter section in the cell. He wasn't very tall, but taller than her. He was a pure raccoon wearing a blue long sleeve shirt, blue boots, and a blue bureé. He carried a golden cane with him, which looked exactly like the Cooper cane Skylar had seen in the Thievius Raccoonus. He also had a red bag strapped around his waist. His body language wasn't threatening, but a bit fearful. "Okay…I'm Sly. Sly Cooper."

Skylar dropped her jaw in shock. "You're…" Without hesitation she ran up to him and gave him the tightest hug she could possibly give. "I've…dad!"

Sly didn't know how to respond to this situation. He didn't prie her off, but so many questions were running through his head. "Wait, no. Maybe you're mistaking me for someone else."

Skylar looked up at him with hopeful eyes, refusing to let go. "No, I'm not. You're Sly Cooper. You're my dad. I'm Skylar, your girl." She grabbed him tighter. "Please don't let me go."

Sly started to cough as a response. "Okay, would you mind loosening up? You're squeezing my stomach."

"Oh, sorry." Skylar let Sly go, which made him back up a bit in response. He didn't know what to think. First he's in this prison, now he's sharing a cell with someone claiming to be his daughter? He couldn't deny her resemblance was undeniable, but he just couldn't understand.

"How old are you?"

Skylar blushed a bit. "I'm 10."

"10? You're only 10? Oh geez, you can't be in here! We have to get you out!" Sly observed the room, trying to figure out an escape route. He had been trying to figure this out for a while, but kept failing. He felt maybe the adrenaline might help him spot something, but found nothing.

"Don't worry, help should come soon…I hope." Skylar sat down and sighed.

Sly scratched the back of his head, trying to figure out what he should ask her first. "How…how did you get here?"

"Oh, well I call him uncle B but his name is Bentley. Anyway, he and Murray should be arriving here soon. I called for help when the guard came and got me, but he smashed my calling device."

"Bentley's here?" Sly couldn't help but feel relieved. "Oh thank God…" Before he could finish his sentence, he soon started to think of even more questions. "So you know Bentley…who…who is your mom?" Sly already figured he knew the answer, but swallowed in fear of hearing it.

"My mom? Her name is Carmelita." Skylar smiled. "She's kinda strict on my brother and I…"

"Wait…you have a brother?"

"Well, yes." Skylar nervously answered. "His name is Silvester, but I call him Silver for short."

Sly felt a little angry hearing this. How dare Carmelita use his name on someone else's kid? "So…is he your younger or older brother…dare I ask…"

Skylar raised an eyebrow. "Neither? He's my twin brother."

"Oh…my…God…" Sly nearly fainted hearing this. Has he been gone that long? For him it only seemed like a few days. 10 years have gone by and poor Carmelita had been raising his…twins…all by herself. He had no idea what to think, and even felt guilty. He would've never left Carmelita alone to raise his babies by herself. He missed her being pregnant, their birth, birthday parties, Christmas, Easter, first day of school, everything. All he ever wanted was a kid, and he got two he wasn't even around for. "I'm…I'm so sorry." This is all he could manage to say to his daughter, who didn't look the slightest bit upset at him.

Skylar looked up at him with hopeful eyes. "Well, that's why we're here. Silver and I want you home. Nobody has stopped looking for you." She looked over at the cell door with hope fading. "I just hope uncle B finds us soon."

"You're telling me. I've been stuck here for two days. First, I was talking to one of my ancestors…wait, that reminds me. Did you ever read the Thievius Raccoonus? Surely you…uncle B was it? Yeah, surely he showed it to you?"

Skylar laughed nervously. "That's…a long story. But yes, I read it. That's kind of how we found you. I saw your note."

"Oh, well so you're familiar with Slytunkhamen II?"

"So that's how you pronounce his name."

Sly laughed. "Yeah, well I was talking to him and he told me all these buildings popped out of nowhere. Soon, this dude in a suit approached us and bam…I'm here."

"Where's Slytunkhamen?" Skylar couldn't help but wonder why he wouldn't be sharing a cell with Sly.

"I don't know. Kinda wish I knew. He didn't do anything wrong." Sly looked over at Skylar and smiled. "Kind of like you I guess. I guess we all had a bad day." Sly laughed nervously to try to cheer himself up. "Hopefully Bentley gets here soon, and brings something to eat. All I've been eating was sandwiches with just one piece of ham on it. No condiments." He looked over at her face, observing her features. Her eyes and mouth were shaped just like his. He couldn't help but notice her curly black hair, instantly reminding him of Carmelita. He had missed her so much, wishing he could just hug her and tell her how much he loved her. He then noticed the bright blue cast on her nose, wondering how he had missed that. "Uh…what happened to your nose?"

Skylar rolled her eyes. "It's broken. I can't smell hardly anything and this stupid cast is super hot. My voice normally doesn't sound this nasally either."

"I wondered about that." Sly couldn't help but laugh, not at her but at her situation. He quickly remembered his unfortunate nose problem when he was a young teenager and wondered if she had the same issue. "So, how did you break it?"

Skylar straightened her shoulders proudly. "I beat the crap out of some girl at school. I won, but she broke my nose."

"You…huh?"

Before Skylar could answer, she soon heard a familiar nasal voice shouting in the background. "Skylar? Where are you?"

Skylar looked up at Sly with the biggest grin on her face. "It's Bentley. He's coming to get us."
