Elliot and Olivia laid wrapped up in each other enjoying the quiet peace that always surrounded them after sex. It felt like the whole world paused just for them because nothing else mattered during those few moments after except them.

"El…" Olivia said stroking his forearms as he laid across her.

"Hmm…" he said half asleep, still listening to her heartbeat.

"We should get up." She said, making no effort to move.

"Yea… you're probably right." He said also not showing any signs of leaving her arms.

He felt her fill her lungs with air and blow out a slow breath. He knew her well enough, even with ten years apart to know that was her "I'm over thinking" sigh. She used to do that a lot during tough cases. They would be sitting across from each other going over and over a case, all the evidence and still there was something missing, and he would hear her take in a deep breath and let it out slow putting her hands behind her head.

He would look over at her, taking her in while she was lost in thought. His eyes would move over her lips, her neck, her curves and then he would quickly look at the paperwork on his desk before anyone caught him ogling her.

Now that they were together and he had bulldozed the walls they had built, he could clearly see how much he had been distracted by her. And maybe distracted was the wrong word. He was blinded by her, overcome by her.

Overcome by the feelings he had for her. Amazed by how one person could change everything. The real sense of how much he was pulled by her, now that his denial goggles had been lifted, was astounding. No wonder Cragen was always up their asses.

The last five years of their partnership they weren't even close to being objective when it came to each other. If it wasn't for Don, they would have probably been forced apart long before those last five years. God knows Tucker sure tried. He subconsciously flexed his jaw thinking about all the shit Tucker dragged them through.

He shook his mind clean of Tucker. That prick was the last thing he wanted to be thinking about while laying naked in bed with Liv.

He knew she was thinking about how today was going to go. They both had to return to work, leaving their beautiful little bubble of bliss. Plus, Noah was going to know he had spent the night. Hopefully he wouldn't ask too many questions.

"Don't over think today beautiful." he said trying to reassure her.

She laughed. "You know me so well…" she said and smiled. He shifted off her and moved to his side resting on his elbow so he could look at her. He smiled at her, sweeping his fingers through her hair.

"It will all work out. I know it will. I honestly don't think anyone will be very surprised." And he grinned at her. She laughed at him and rolled her eyes.

"Well, I'm sure there's a bet that will finally be collected…" she said, and he laughed. "My money is on Fin." Olivia said, and she smoothed her hand over his jaw.

"My money is on Cragen." He said and Olivia really laughed at that.

"Poor Munch…" they both said simultaneously then laughing at how they still shared a brain.

"I love you." Olivia said mesmerized by the deep blue flame she always saw in his eyes when he looked at her.

"I love you too Olivia." Elliot said feeling his heart melt. She softly grabbed him by his jaw, pulling him to her for a kiss.

"Ok sweets, we really need to get up." she said. "I'm sure Noah will be up soon, and Lucy will be here around seven thirty." Olivia moved over to the side of the bed, already missing his warmth. She stood up, pulling her silk robe on and turned to Elliot. He was just lying there, a big smile on his face.

"What El?" she said, curious why he wasn't moving.

"You called me sweets…" he said, a slight blush creeping up chest. It didn't bode well for his masculinity to be so over the moon about her calling him a pet name, but he couldn't help it. And he didn't really care.

"I did… is that ok?" she said. She couldn't keep the smile off her face watching him blush.

"Yea… I like it…" he said. "I like it a lot."

She could see the light shining from his eyes as he looked at her. She really hadn't thought about it before she said it, but it was fitting. In their past he was always so pent up and brooding. Caused by what she now positively knows was the agony they both felt from years of unreleased sexual tension and longing. He was rarely ever genuinely sweet with her back then, but now he was nothing but sweet. Again, a side of him she never really knew existed, until now. She felt her insides tingle. He was making her melt again with his eyes.

"Ok you gotta stop looking at me like that… otherwise we may never leave my bedroom." she said, the thought taking a little bit of her breath away.

He laughed and said, "Sounds like a plan to me…" smiling with raised eyebrows.

He knew they could get lost in each other making up for all the years they wasted. Time would stand still for them as the outside world would keep turning. He knew it wasn't logical, but hey, a guy could hope right?

Olivia felt a flicker of electricity through her body at the desire she saw in Elliot's eyes. Just as she was going to suggest they could stay in bed a little longer Noah's voice broke her thoughts.

"Mom!" he yelled through her door as he ran down the hall. "When is Lucy coming?"

They both laughed and lifted her eyebrows at him signaling an apology to his plans. He got up out of bed and walked over to her, kissed her cheek and said, "Here we go…" positivity in his voice.

He winked at her and kissed her again this time on the lips, lingering for a second before he unwillingly pulled away. She let out a content sigh and went go find Noah.

Elliot looked at the clock on her nightstand and realized they really did need to start getting a move on. He needed to stop back at his place for a change of clothes. He also had a therapy appointment at nine, and he needed to call Bell and let her know he was going to be in late. He used her bathroom, got dressed and made his way out into the kitchen.

Olivia was making coffee, and Noah was pouring cereal in his bowl. Noah's eyes it up when he saw Elliot.

"Hey bud." Elliot said and walked over to Liv, kissed her neck before grabbing the mug she filled for him.

"I got you out a bowl and a spoon." Noah said. Elliot turned and saw the place right next to Noah there was a bowl and spoon waiting for him. His heart grew in his chest at the sweet gesture.

Olivia gripped his arm, and he looked at her. She was smiling from ear to ear.

"Mom said you stayed the night because it was too late to drive home. You like cereal, right?" Noah said filling his bowl with milk.

"Yea, I do. Thanks Noah." Elliot said, and he squeezed Liv's arm, and made his way to sit with Noah. He filled his bowl, poured the milk, and held his spoon up to Noah and said, "Cheers."

They clinked spoons, making Noah grin, and both started eating. Olivia felt tears in her eyes watching her sweet boy bond with her sweet Elliot. She took a sip of her coffee, and just watched them for a few minutes.

"Well," she said, "I better go get dressed. I'll be right back." And she left the two of them to eat their breakfast. As she was walking to her bedroom, she heard Noah ask about the next time they could play baseball and Elliot said maybe this weekend. Her heart melted at the thought of El making plans with them.

She got dressed and made sure her hair would cover the love bites Elliot had left and made her way back out to her boys.

When she got into the kitchen Elliot was washing their dishes and Noah was putting away the cereal and milk. She kissed Noah on the top of his head and went to El and put her arms around him from behind. She leaned her head on him, needing to feel him against her. She felt his body relax, and warmth spread in her at the knowledge of his reaction to her touch.

"Noah honey, can you go brush your teeth?" she asked.

"Sure Mom." He said and ran off to the bathroom.

Elliot turned himself around in her arms after he was done with the dishes, his arms enveloping her.

"So…" she said wanting to ask him a question, feeling a little nervous. She looked up into his eyes and she got a little lost. Lost in the deep pools of blue staring back at her. Sometimes she forgets to breath when he looks at her like he does, or more like he takes her breath away, she's not sure which.

"So…" he repeated her words, a little smile curling the corner of his mouth. He can see the affect he's having on her, and he feels warmth spread throughout his chest. They have both had moments this past weekend where one or the other gets lost in this thing they are doing. Gets lost in each other. It's overwhelming, and scary, and beautiful, and just everything… everything to him, to her… to them.

"So… how are we handling this? Us? Are we telling people?" she asked, her voice careful.

His smile spread and he slid his hands down her back, pulling her into him.

His ability to love her the way he does astounds him sometimes, and her ability to accept it and love him back is even more shocking to him. He doesn't feel like he deserves it… deserves her, but Olivia… she deserves everything. She deserves happiness, love, trust and someone to take care of her. Be there for her for the rest of her life. A job for someone like him. For only him. A job he would never leave or quit or… desert. Ever again.

He wouldn't have blamed her if she had said no. If she had said no to him… to them. What he did to her was terrible, and the way he did it… it still makes him feel sick thinking about it. He abandoned her. There wasn't any other way to put it. Even though he has apologized to her, it would never be enough. Not for him. He would always carry the guilt with him. It was a small price to pay considering everything that has happened between them now.

"However you want to play it Captain…" he paused inciting his own arousal at the mention her higher ranking, "I'm good with it."

He felt her hands grip him tighter and saw a smile creep into her lips.

"Well part of me wants to tell everyone. Tell them how much I love you… how happy I am…" and she paused looking at his lips and then up at him with a glint in her eye that sent a shock down his spine, "Tell them I lost count of how many times you made me orgasm…" she said in her low deep voice that did something so animalistic to him he had to fight his urge to take her and wreck her on the kitchen floor.

She felt his body react to her words, pleased with herself with the heat now coming off his body and on to hers.

"But…" she said moving her hands up around his neck, softly stroking his skin there.

"I also don't want to share this… share you and me… with anyone… right now anyways."

He huffed out a small laugh, understanding exactly how she felt. It's still new, and yet not at all. That's hard to explain to people… well to people who weren't there before. No one could ever understand the true depth of them.

She made him whole. She had always made him feel whole, and good, and worth something. Even in his darkest moments she showed him he was more than what others thought. She always had his back and believed in him. Even when everyone else was jumping ship, she weathered the storm with him. Always by his side. Always faithful.

Even when he pushed her away. Pushed her into computer crimes, which let's face it… is what he did. He pushed her and his feeling away after Gitano. The deep realization that she felt the same for him as he did for her back then was too much for his frayed emotions and he did what he did best. He pushed the only good thing in his life away out of fear. That wouldn't happen this time.

"Well how about we just keep it between us for now then." he said, and he felt her breathe out a sigh of relief. He kissed her temple pulling her into a hug, knowing she needed to move slow with this. Not with him, but with telling everyone. She is a Captain, and she had her reputation to worry about and he cared deeply about that. He didn't care how long it took, as long as she still wanted him, still loved him, wanted to be with him he didn't care how long it took.
