"Hey wake up. Hey, kid wake up." A man's voice could be heard as Izuku started to regain consciousness, feeling a big hand gently slapping his face.

'Was it all a dream? The last thing I remember, the sludge villain was about to kill me and I think All Might appeared. It really does sound like a dream. That's a relief, that must mean Kyouka is safe at home.' He thought to himself before slowly opening his eyes, seeing All Might right above him.

"Thought we lost you there!" The number one hero said with a wide smile before Izuku screamed and backed away. "Well looks like you're moving around alright! Sorry about that back there, I didn't mean for you and your friend to get caught up in my justicing! Usually, I pay more attention to keep bystanders safe, but it turns out this city's sewer system is pretty hard to navigate! HA HA HA HA!"

The green haired boy widened his eyes at the mention of his friend and looked around before seeing Kyouka only a few feet away, laying on the floor unconscious. "I-Is she okay?! She didn't get hurt too bad did she?"

"Well I'm no doctor, but it looks like a minor head injury. She'll be as good as new after some good rest!" The hero said as he gave a thumbs up. "You two have been a big help, I've captured the evil-doer!"

Izuku sighed in relief as All Might showed off the two sludge-filled bottles, glad that his friend was going to be alright. He was afraid that she got severely injured, but thankfully they were both saved right on time. "Thank goodness she's alright."

He then looked back at All Might and started to feel himself go into fanboy mode, fully realizing that his favorite hero was standing right in front of him. 'He's actually here! All Might in the flesh, standing right in front of me! He looks so much cooler in person!'

"Crap! I gotta get an autograph, I know I have a pen around here somewhere. Please sign my notebook!" He said as he grabbed his notebook, opening it to see All Might's signature. "He already did! Thank you so much, sir! This will be an heirloom! A family treasure passed down for generations to come!"

As the green haired boy was relentlessly bowing his head, All Might gave him a thumbs up. "Well, I gotta get this guy to the police so they can take care of him! You two keep out of trouble and make sure to take care of your friend there!"

As the muscled hero stretched, the teen boy widened his eyes as he heard that. "Y-You're leaving already?"

"Yep, pro heroes are constantly fighting time as well as enemies!"

'He can't go yet, there's still so much I need to ask him.' The quirkless boy thought to himself as he clenched his fists, glancing at Kyouka for a second.

All Might was now squatting, ready to jump away. "Now stand back! I'm taking off!" He then jumped up into the sky, with trees shaking around the area. "Thanks for your continued support!"

What All Might didn't realize was that on the ground, all that was left was a young unconscious girl without a green haired boy in sight.

'Crap! What am I going to do about Kyouka?! She's going to be so mad! I didn't even think before grabbing on!' Izuku thought to himself as he felt the wind blow onto his face as he hung onto the pants of his favorite hero.

A couple of minutes after, light groaning could be heard from a purple haired girl on the floor. 'What happened? Last thing I remember, me and Izuku got attacked by that villain and I saw Izuku gettin-'

Her thoughts immediately stopped as she widened her eyes and immediately sat up. "Izuku?! W-Where is he?!"

Kyouka started to frantically look around, remembering the danger her hero was in, worried about him. She then took notice of her current circumstance. No one was around her and she was outside of the tunnel.

Someone must've taken her outside right? The villain wouldn't do that after knocking her out like that.

That must've meant a hero came by to save them right? But then where was the hero? Where was Izuku?

She felt herself shaking a little as she gripped onto her arms for comfort. She couldn't help but think that Izuku was possibly in horrible condition and that the hero had to rush him to the hospital.

"Please be alright Izuku…" She said to herself as she looked down at the ground, hoping that her cruel thoughts were wrong about his safety.

However, all she could do right now was reflect on her failure to protect her hero. He selflessly pushed her out of the way to save her without a second thought and all she could do was uselessly attack the villain with zero success.

How could she have failed him in that moment? She was a coward, she wasn't able to save Izuku from Bakugo and she wasn't able to save him from a villain that had tried to kill him.

The purple haired girl looked at her hand, wondering if she was still worthy to stand by Izuku's side after this. Was she even still worthy to become a hero?

She didn't know if these thoughts were genuine or were only caused by her worry, but what mattered is that they kept lingering in her head. "Dammit."

Suddenly the teen girl heard a loud explosion from far away and saw a huge cloud of smoke in the distance. "What the hell is going on there?" She asked herself as she stood up.

'Maybe Izuku will be there'. She hopefully thought to herself as she held onto that small hope that he was okay. She knew for a fact that he wouldn't miss an event like this for the world, especially with an explosion that big.

Kyouka then grabbed her backpack and started to run towards the commotion, hoping to possibly see her hero there even though a part of her told her that she was just being naive.

But the girl didn't care, even if there's a small chance to see him after what they just both went through then she had to take that chance. She wasn't going to let her last memory of him be watching him get suffocated by the sludge villain.

Izuku stood there, gripping onto his backpack straps as he stood alone on a rooftop. So much had happened in that past couple of minutes.

He thought that meeting All Might would be the greatest moment of his life and that it would all be perfect.

But it didn't turn out that way as he learned that the number one hero was actually a scrawny man who had been weakened by a fight 5 years ago. He couldn't believe his eyes when he saw his muscular idol turn into that form.

However, that wasn't even the worst part. The person he admires the most, the sole reason he wanted to become a hero in the first place told him that he can't be a hero without a quirk.

He was told that his dreams should be attainable and realistic. 'Is he right? Is it really impossible for me to become a hero?'

Suddenly the teen boy heard an explosion from a distance and looked to see a huge cloud of smoke in the distance.

"A villain! I wonder which hero will show!" He said to himself as he ran towards the door before stopping himself, remembering All Might's words to him.

Then an image of Kyouka popped in his head, remembering how much she's supported him ever since they first met. How she tells him that he can be a hero without a quirk. He told himself he wouldn't let her belief in him be for nothing. He wasn't going to back down on his word and fail her.

The boy then clenched his fists and raised his head high. Even though his favorite hero said he couldn't become a hero, he couldn't forget the one person who's believed in him even when knowing about him being quirkless.

He then began running into the building, making his way down the stairs to get out of the building. He was going to see what kind of battle, he was going to witness and keep taking notes, he wasn't going to give up on U.A. Both he and Kyouka are going to keep trying to become heroes no matter what.

'Wait... Kyouka! What if she's still unconscious on the ground?! I should check up on her first!' He thought to himself in a panic as he made a detour towards the area where he and his friend were saved by All Might.

Kyouka was still running towards the explosion from earlier, still holding onto that hope to see Izuku there.

'I just have to know that he's okay.' She thought to herself as she turned the corner and suddenly bumped into someone, falling onto the ground.

"I-I'm sorry about that!" She heard a familiar voice say which caused her to immediately look up and see her hero standing right above her.

"I-Izuku?" She asked, thinking for a moment her mind was only playing tricks on her.

The green haired boy then widened his eyes and smiled widely as his friend started to stand up. "K-Kyouka! Thank goodness you're okay! I'm so sorry for leaving you like that! I-It's just that All Might was there after saving us from the villain before capturing him and he was going to leave, but I couldn't let him leave without asking him a few questions! So without thinking I just grabbed onto him as he left! I hope you're not angry with me! Please forgi-"

The teen boy stopped his rambling as she saw the girl right in front of him crying as she looked at the ground. "I-I thought I lost you back there Izuku. I-I couldn't do anything to help you while that villain attacked…I- I'm so sorry…"

Izuku gave her a small smile and shook his head. "I-It's okay, Kyouka, he was a strong villain. I bet other heroes would've had trouble stopping the villain. But at least I did my best to protect you even though it didn't do much."

Kyouka started to wipe her tears as she shook her head as well. "Y-You're wrong, you sacrificed yourself for me… It's just more of a reason why you'll make a great hero."

The quirkless boy smiled wider as he heard that, getting another reminder of how much she believes in him. Sure, what All Might said to him will probably always hurt, but he knows that he can overcome his obstacles as long as his best friend still believes in him. "W-Well it seems like another hero fight is going on nearby, you want to go check it out?"

He didn't want to talk to her about the incident with All Might and what he told him yet. He figured he could tell her another time, he could tell she was feeling stressed right now and he didn't want to anger her by saying All Might didn't believe in him. He knew she wouldn't take kindly to that at all and would probably find a way to yell at All Might. So for now he could just watch a hero fight with her to take her mind off the sludge villain incident.

The teen girl nodded and smiled back as she stopped crying. "Yeah, let's go watch the fight."

The two friends then began to make their way to the fight, running so that they can make it in time before it ends.

Soon they both made it to the fight, seeing fire and debris everywhere before seeing the villain. Both teens widened their eyes as they saw the sludge villain from earlier. 'I-It's the villain who attacked us earlier! B-But that can't be right, All Might captured him!'

The purple haired girl couldn't believe her eyes as she stared at the villain who almost took Izuku away from her. 'How is he out here?! Izuku told me All Might saved us from the villain and captured him.'

She didn't realize that her hero was currently covering his mouth, blaming himself for the villain escaping All Might. So much was going on inside of his head, feeling hopeless in this situation.

She then overheard some random civilians saying that the villain captured a kid and she looked closer to see who it was. The young girl widened her eyes as she saw Bakugo, struggling to escape the villain.

There was a part of her that felt like this was deserving. That Bakugo needed to feel what it was like to be helpless. The feeling he tried to push on Izuku every time they talked. She didn't know if these thoughts of hers were just from or anger or if she actually believed this. She didn't even know if she regretted these thoughts. But before her thoughts could go any further, she heard a notebook fall onto the ground before looking to her right and seeing Izuku's burnt up notebook on the ground without him in sight.

"W-Where is he?!" Kyouka then looked forward and saw her hero, running into the fire and towards the villain.

"No, you idiot! Stop, you're going to get yourself killed!" Death Arms yelled out as the young boy in front of him kept running.

"IZUKU! NO!" She screamed out as she tried running after him, but was stopped by some civilians who grabbed onto her as tears streamed down her cheeks! "Let me go!"

"No! We can't let a kid go into the fire like that!"

"That's suicide!"

"A hero will surely save that other kid!"

"I won't let him go alone!" The teen kept screaming as she made desperate attempts to escape, using her earphone jacks to whip away some of the civilians, but it was no use as more grabbed onto her, keeping her restrained. "Please! I have to help him!"

It was happening all over again, Izuku was throwing himself into danger for someone else as she just stood there helplessly. Why does he have to risk his life for someone like Bakugo? She didn't want to admit it, but she wanted to tell him that it wasn't worth it to risk his life for that bully. She watched as he threw his backpack at the villain before clawing at it, trying to free Bakugo. 'Not like this! He can't die like this after I almost lost him!'

The sludge villain then raised his arm, ready to kill the quirkless boy right in front of him before swinging at him for the killing blow as the other heroes yelled out, trying to save him. Kyouka closed her eyes, not wanting to watch her hero get killed in front of her. But she didn't hear the heroes yelling out anymore. She began to reluctantly open her eyes, scared of seeing what she feared the most before seeing All Might blocking the villain's arm.

She watched as All Might punched the villain, immediately blowing it to pieces which caused strong winds around the area. She felt herself get blown back a little but did her best to keep her footing as she struggled to keep her eyes open.

Not long after, raindrops started to slowly pour onto everyone, feeling them land on her as the civilians let go of her. 'Rain? Did he change the weather with one punch?'

Everyone else around her was looking at either the sky or at All Might, but her eyes were only focused on the green haired boy who was laying on the ground.

The crowd began to loudly cheer for the hero who just stopped the sludge villain and Kyouka could just feel her heart rapidly pound. She gently placed her hand on her chest, trying her best to calm down her heartbeat. 'He's safe. Thank god he's safe.'

She felt her tears slowly run down her cheek combined with the rain as she smiled, thankful that her hero is safe now.

Later on, after the heroes detained the sludge villain and sent him to police custody. The teen girl noticed this was her chance to finally talk to Izuku after what just happened before hearing him being scolded by Kamui Woods and Death Arms.

"You moron! Do you have a death wish!"

"There was absolutely no reason for you to put yourself in danger like that!"

Meanwhile, she overhead the praise Bakugo got for his 'bravery' when he was captured by the villain.

"Man you're a tough kid and that quirk is something else! When you wanna go pro, head over to my agency first!"

Hearing all this replaced the young girl's fear with anger towards the pro heroes as she clenched her fists. 'Idiots! Why can't they realize that Izuku just sacrificed himself for someone that didn't even deserve it! And Bakugo is still getting praised!'

"Damn you!" She yelled out, not being able to hold in all of her emotions.

Death Arms widened his eyes and looked at the teen, raising an eyebrow. "Is something wrong little lady?"

Izuku widened his eyes as well as he stood up before shaking his head "N-No it's just my friend who's probably thinking of something else! I-Isn't that right, Kyouka?!"

The girl shook her head as she looked fearlessly at the hero who was almost double her height. "No that's not right. Look, I respect your work Death Arms, but don't you dare think you can scold my friend here after he risked his life to save that boy while you and the other heroes stood there doing nothing."

"Young lady, you don't understand. Neither of our quirks could do anything against that villain. He was practically untouchable." The hero explained as he sighed.

"What I understand is that the heroes didn't even try anything else while my friend ran in there without a second thought. He was ready to risk everything to save that boy even tho-" she was stopped as Izuku walked up to her and gently grabbed her arm, shaking his head.

"It's okay, Kyouka, they're right. It was reckless of me to do that. I mean, I didn't even do anything. It probably wouldn't have made a difference whether I ran in there or not. It was All Might who saved me and Kacchan, please don't be mad at the heroes." Izuku explained to her as he kept on that smile she loved so much.

However, the teen girl kept glaring at the pro hero as she began to walk away with the green haired boy. 'He's lucky Izuku stopped me from going any further.'

The sky was now a dark orange, meaning the sun was getting close to setting. Kyouka knew her parents must've been worried sick about her since she should've been home a long time ago. Thankfully she texted them right after the sludge incident to let them know that she's alright.

Now she and Izuku were walking home together, tired from today's events.

"Izuku can you promise me something?" The young girl suddenly asked which surprised the boy as he looked at her.

"What do you want me to promise Kyouka?" He asked as he tilted his head, wondering what his friend wanted.

"Please don't risk your life like that again. I was so scared you were going to die back there. I've seen you get almost killed twice already by the same villain. It's so frightening watching you throw yourself into danger like that while I just stand there helplessly. Can you promise me that you won't risk your life again?" The purple haired girl asked as she looked at the ground.

The quirkless boy widened his eyes and sighed before shaking his head. "I'm sorry Kyouka… I can't. I don't want to make you worry for me and I certainly would prefer my life not to be at risk. But pro heroes are constantly risking their lives so everyone else can live a safe and happy life. I want to be like that, I want to save people with a smile on my face even if it costs me my own life. I know you might not like that answer, but to become a true hero I have to be prepared to do what I have to."

"Oh... Okay..." The young girl said in a low tone as she looked down.

"K-Kyouka, you're not mad are you?" The aspiring hero asked in a bit of a nervous tone, worried he made her mad.

The purple haired girl shook her head and looked up at him with a smile. "Then I'll have to make sure I get stronger as well so I can protect you while you protect others."

Izuku then smiled back and gave her a thumbs up. "Right. With you by my side, I won't be dying anytime soon."

Kyouka then gripped her backpack straps as she looked at his smile. 'I have to get stronger. I can't let him almost die like that again. Nothing will stop me from making sure he'll be okay. I'll always stand by his side.'

Soon they both reached the front of her home and Izuku looked at her. "Well, I guess I'll be seeing you at school tomorrow. We can talk more about my meeting with All Might then."

The young girl nodded and sighed. "Alright, I'll see you tomorrow. Stay safe."

The boy nodded as well and then continued walking home while Kyouka walked onto her property before stopping.

'I don't think they'll mind if I'm a little more late.' She thought to herself as she walked back onto the path, hiding behind walls so he wouldn't see her.

After today's events, she couldn't just let him go home by himself. There was still that part of her that was scared for the quirkless boy. Maybe it was just her being paranoid, but she had to make sure he got home safely.

She felt like she was a kid again before meeting Izuku in middle school, following him home as she hid behind walls. It was certainly a nostalgic feeling for her and she had to admit that she kind of missed doing this.

Soon she heard the voice she was hoping to no longer hear today which made her grip the corner of the wall. "Hey, Deku! I didn't ask for a weakling like you to help me! Don't think you can look down on me! Huh, got that?! I was fine by myself! You're just a quirkless failure who won't even make it as a rent-a-cop! You didn't help me! You did nothing!"

'You mother fucker! He just risked his life for you after you told him to kill himself! He should've just left you there!' She thought to herself as her grip on the wall tightened.

The ash blonde boy began to stomp away before Izuku got to say anything as she glared at him. 'I'm going to show him a piece of my mind once and for all.'

Kyouka started to walk towards the bully with her fists ready to beat the crap out of him before she heard someone else. "I AM HERE!"

The young girl widened her eyes as she stopped herself and went back to hide behind the wall, seeing All Might appear right in front of Izuku. 'Is that All Might?! Why is he in front of Izuku so suddenly?!'

"A-All Might why are you here?! How'd you get rid of all those reporters?!" She heard him ask the hero as she peeked around the corner to watch them.

"HA HA HA HA HA! I stand for justice! Not sound bites! Because I am All Migh-" Before the number one hero could say any more, he suddenly turned into a skeleton-like man who was spitting out a lot of blood.

'What the fuck?! Is that All Might?! That can't be, it just makes no sense! But Izuku isn't asking any questions about that. Does he know that's how All Might looks like?' She thought to herself with her face still in shock at what she just witnessed as she continued to listen in. It seemed like Izuku knew about this so she would ask him about this tomorrow.

The skeleton man wiped the blood from his chin and sighed. "Young man, I came here to thank you and also to discuss your question from earlier. If you hadn't told me about your life, if you hadn't run into that fight, I would've been a worthless bystander watching from the crowd. So thanks."

Kyouka couldn't help but smile when hearing this. Of course, she didn't like the fact that Izuku had to risk his life for All Might to thank him, but at least he was being given the recognition he deserves for performing such a brave act and by his idol no less.

"Oh, no it was my fault he was there to begin with! I got in the way of your hard work, I wasted your energy and not to mention your time. I should've just stayed back and helped my friend instead of leaving her behind." The young boy said, clearly ashamed of himself.

"I'm not done. You told me you didn't have a power. So when I saw this timid quirkless boy try to save a life, it inspired me to act too. There are stories about every hero, how they became great. Most have one thing in common. Their bodies moved before they had a chance to think, almost on their own. And today that's what happened to you." All Might said as he looked at the quirkless boy in front of him started to cry, falling onto his knees while grabbing his chest.

The young girl felt her chest tighten up as she resisted the urge to cry as well out of happiness for him. She could tell how happy her hero was from hearing these words from the man he admires most. And the next words she would hear from All Might were words that the both of them would remember for the rest of their lives.

"Young man, you too can become a hero."

A/N

Okay, that's chapter 13! This came out sooner than I expected. I know it wasn't as long as chapter 12, but I couldn't think of too many ways to expand this chapter. But I felt like I added the necessary scenes for this chapter.

I know I could've made some parts more emotional, but I came up with some good lines that I plan on using in later chapters when Izuku will risk his life even more.

I was originally going to add the rooftop scene with Izuku and All Might, but I figured it would mostly be the same with Izuku mentioning he only had one person who believed in him. And I hope you guys don't mind that I basically copied the scene with All Might at the end. I also was originally going to have Izuku go straight to the villain attack without seeing Kyouka. I know it would've made it more dramatic for Kyouka's next time seeing Izuku being him running into danger, but I figured he would make sure his friend was okay first before checking out a villain attack.

I would like to think that Izuku wouldn't get to the villain attack too late after talking to Kyouka since in this story he ran and in canon he slowly walked there.

I also hope the ending makes sense to you all. Of course, Kyouka wouldn't want to interrupt Izuku's talk with All Might, but there's no way she wouldn't listen in.

I'm still a little unsure how I'm going to handle the 10 month training of Izuku. I think I'll do 2-3 chapters of the training which will include some original scenes of mine. I don't want to go straight into the U.A entrance exam so I figure this is the best option.

One thing I'm not too sure about at the moment is if I'll have Kyouka let Izuku know she knows about One For All. I'm thinking of having her keep that from him for a little while and possibly telling him either at the beginning of U.A or during Izuku's training. But of course having her tell him almost right away sounds like it would work too. Let me know what's you guys think about that idea.

Also from your guy's reviews, I know a couple of you wonder why Kyouka didn't just use a sound attack on the sludge villain so I'll address that here. I don't know too much about her quirk, but I don't know if she can plug her earphone jacks into fluids so I figured that her moves wouldn't work on the sludge villain. Of course if she had her future hero equipment to shoot out sound then of course she could defeat the monster. But please correct me if I'm wrong if she actually can use her quirk on fluids without any equipment.

Okay now onto the reviews! (Oof 14 reviews, this is gonna be long, but I really appreciate it a lot.)

Tonsofun94: Oh don't you worry, that certainly will come back in the future. I hope I can make it satisfying for my readers.

some asshole: Yeah I noticed halfway that she was seeming like Hinata and I was like "welp no going back now." I hope no one else minds it, I swear it wasn't on purpose lol.

Ability King KK: I hope you liked the way I handled the All Might scene with Kyouka on Izuku's mind. Also the Bakugo redemption arc I have planned for the far future will have mention of that.

Chuck Winanaki: I don't know if I plan on Kyouka and Bakugo getting along in the future, but if I do then it won't be for a long time.

Guest: I'm still laying out the USJ arc, but for the sports festival I'm not 100% sure how I'll make that work. I'll start seriously thinking about it once I get to the USJ arc.

SonicMax: Oh I plan to be cruel to Kyouka and give her many heart attacks in the future. I will certainly feel bad though.

Shadowwriter01: Please look forward to that in the next chapter!

baxfloyd: I am sorry, but it will be a very long time before that. I hope that doesn't bother you.

Im The Person: I kind of do have a plan on when Kyouka will confess, but I won't say it cause spoilers. I plan on making the confession scene pretty emotional and in a pretty interesting time. Oh yeah Kyouka will certainly get pretty clingy in the future and it will make for some fun scenes.

PrometheusDark: Oh you'll see soon enough, especially in U.A.

AmbyValkrine: Thank you for the compliments and Izuku getting One For All will mostly be the same, but with Izuku having character interactions with Kyouka. And I am sorry, but it will be a long while before these two get together.

Naoto Koizumi: The other girls will 100% cause some jealousy for Kyouka, but she'll probably still be very friendly since they're not trying to have Izuku. Only one girl in particular will be a rival type character to her. I hope this chapter didn't disappoint you at all.

King: I hope you don't mind her passiveness too much, that'll change a lot more in the future don't worry. I have plans.

Notasavior: I have plans for Bakugo, but it will take a while to fully implement them. I can guarantee that the love confession will happen before those plans lol.

Well that's it for this chapter! Please feel free to leave a review!
