I saw white but I felt...Grass? Yes, it was definitely soft, slightly wet grass that tickled the skin under my arms and hands. There was no more street noise, but instead the sounds of a... was that the forest? And a specific one at that. Like some picturesque Snow White forest, with audible wind and chipper animals noises. No more Florida heat with a dreary urban soundtrack, but instead my ears filled with the soft melody of birds chirping. It was like fucking Mozart. Evergreen and pine filled my nostrils like a title wave.

I should have been anxious, terrified or confused, but a sense of calm passed over my body, like a warm blanket. I tired to focus my vision -- but I just saw brightness. A brilliant white... and stars. I was seeing actual stats?! I inhaled that fresh, clean air. Where was I? Was I dead? Was this the afterlife?

And then I could hear the abrupt crunch of leaves. Footsteps.

I slowly propped my elbows up as the crunch got louder.

"Easy Kim. Are you ok?"

He had surprisingly deep voice. A rather large man with slick black hair and deep chocolate eyes crouched down next to me, my vision finally becoming clear. He seemed gentle and kind as he squatted down, resting his hands over his knees, examining me. He was perched on the balls of barefoot feet.

Where are his shoes? How did he know why name?

"I... where is the car...?" Came tumbling out of my mouth, my voice weak and raspy. The man frowned at me. Another man stepped forward. This one more gruff, his arms crossed in front of his body. Thick large arms that covered a bare chest. My eyes darted between them, noticing they were both bare chested and shoeless.

The grumpy one who stood seemed to be even more annoyed that I now noticed him.

"Kim, you're in the middle of the woods...far into the fucking woods. There aren't any roads for miles. It must have taken you hours to get up here. What the fuck are you doing up here?" The grumpy man barked, his voice pulsing with irritation.

I looked back at the kind crouching man, searching his face for answers. What was this?

"Are you angles? Good cop, bad cop angels? Am, I... am I dead?"

"Jesus Christ," the grumpy man barked. "Angels. What have you been smoking Kim? Did Alex give you mushrooms?"

"Alex? You know Alex?" I tried to sit up a bit more now, but my body was sore, like it had been ripped up into a trillion pieces and then stuck back together with tacky glue.

Crouching kind man pursed his lip together, his eyebrows formed one thick line. He was really beautiful. They both were and so, so large.

"Honey, do you know who I am?"

I stared at this nice, half naked giant in front of me. We established he wasn't an angle. But he knew my name, he knew Alex and he was familiar enough to call me honey. I definitely never saw these two before. I wasn't usually in the habit of forgetting super huge muscly men.

I shook my head no.

"Go get Alex and Mrs. Cromweller and get Jared to tell Sue. I'll take her over to the clinic," The kind crouching said over his shoulder to the grumpy one. The grumpy one just stood there not doing as he was told.

"I'm Sam and that's Paul. I'm friend's with Alex and I know you too. You go to school with Paul." I looked over at both of them. Grumpy man still had his arms crossed and stared at me with a horrified, yet angry expression, like he came home expecting to relax and found out that I just shit all over his rug.

"Wha... I... there was a car.. right over there...I was getting chicken stock... and looking at insta and I didn't see..." Sam placed his large hand on my shoulder, immediately halting my speech.

"It's okay honey, you may have hit your head. I'm gonna take you over to the clinic to see Sue and Paul will get Alex and your mom, okay?" It came out so sweet from this man I didn't know that somehow knew me and the people in my life. This Sam.

"What clinic? Where..."

"Shh. It's okay, Kim. Will get it all straightened out. You're mom. We're getting your mom, honey." He tuned to the grumpy man, who I k ow knew was called Paul.

"Go get Amy Conweller now," Sam ordered. My eyes pinged around like pinballs. My mother's name was Amy O'Conner. I was Kimberly O'Conner of Tampa, Florida. This rich green Forrest was a lot of things, but it was definitely NOT Tampa.

"Where are we...?I Trembled out in a low terrified whisper.

"We established this. The middle of the fucking Forrest, Kim," Paul snapped as if I was the biggest idiot and this was the most inconvenient thing he'd ever had to do in his life.

"But where? I mean.. which state... This isn't Florida."

Sam leaned over a picked me up and then proceeded to carry me through the woods, bridal style. I felt small and insignificant in his arms, but it as if I weighed nothing. As if he was just carrying something random, a few books, maybe a water bottle.

"Washington, honey. You're on the Quileute reservation in La Push, Washington."

Sam. Paul. Barefoot. Jared. Sue. Woods. Shirtless.

Well holy fucking shit.
