1 Week Later

Kyouka was currently pacing back and forth in her room as she had her arms crossed.

She had been doing this at least once or twice a day ever since the day of the exam. Usually, she would be playing music to ease her nerves, but it just wasn't helping this time since she would always think back to the results.

The wait for the results was killing her more and more as each day passed by with no news about the results. However, the wait wasn't killing her as much as it was killing Izuku.

Every time she would see him, he would always look so nervous as if he expected horrible news to come any minute now. During lunch he would mostly stare at his food, being so lost in his mind with her having to snap him out of it. She couldn't tell exactly what he was thinking, but she knew that it was about the practical exam.

The teen girl always did her best to cheer him up by trying to reassure him that his points were enough to pass and reminding him that they'll go to U.A together. She could tell it helped calm him down a little at that moment, but she knew that soon enough he would be just as nervous as he was before.

A small part of her wished that she told Izuku that he shouldn't have helped out that girl. However, she knew that Izuku would hate that since he's the type to save anyone no matter what. She could never say something that could make him possibly hate her.

She wished that she could find other ways to help him, but for now, she just felt useless. It didn't help that neither she nor Izuku could get in touch with All Might since the exam so he couldn't give any words of encouragement. She was sure that if All Might said anything positive to Izuku then it would cheer him up.

"Kyouka, get down here! We have something for you!" She suddenly heard her mom call out to her which broke the girl out of her thoughts before coming downstairs.

"What is it, mom?" The young girl asked before seeing an envelope in her dad's hand. "N-No way, is that what I think it is?

"We just got this letter from U.A Kyouka and it's your test results!" Kyoutoko shouted in excitement as he held a mic with his other hand.

Mika smiled as she clasped her hands together and looked at her daughter. "Go to your room and open it, sweetie. We'll be celebrating early in the living room."

"It's going to be a killer celebration!" The blonde man announced, still not being able to contain his excitement.

The purple haired girl smiled as she took the envelope and nodded. "I'll make sure to give you guys the news as soon as possible."

She then walked back upstairs and entered her room as she closed her door behind her before sitting at her desk.

"Okay, I can do this. All I have to do is open it and get my results. No biggie right?" She asked herself as her grip tightened on the envelope.

She found herself just staring at it for what felt like hours as she felt herself shivering with her heartbeat starting to raise. She couldn't deny that she was scared to death to open it. She was scared for both herself and Izuku. If she didn't pass the exam then that would mean he didn't pass either since he got a lower score than her. At this point, she was hoping she passed purely for the sake that he would have a better chance at passing since they were only 13 points apart.

Kyouka then took in a deep breath before letting it out. She knew that opening this envelope was inevitable and she couldn't stall forever. 'No time like the present I guess…'

The young girl then reached for her All Might keychain and held it close to her chest before placing it on the desk. She felt like she would've had the keychain with her even if she didn't promise Izuku to have it with her. Whenever she had this keychain, it felt like Izuku was right beside her and that was all she needed to build up the courage to open the envelope.

"This is it…" She said to herself before slowly opening the envelope and seeing some kind of disc inside. "What is this?"

The purple haired girl carefully took the disc out of the envelope before placing it right next to her All Might keychain.

Suddenly a projection of All Might wearing a yellow suit came out of the disc. "Booyah! I am here as a projection now!"

Kyouka widened her eyes and looked at the envelope to confirm it was from U.A before looking back at the projection. "T-The hell… Why is All Might showing up?"

"I know it's been a while, but with great power comes a great amount of paperwork! My apologies young lady! The truth is, I didn't come to this city just to fight villains! You're looking at the newest U.A faculty member!" The number one hero announced as he placed his hands on his hips.

"Whoa, that's insane. But I guess that explains how he got me and Izuku into the U.A campus before the exam." The teen girl said to herself as she cupped her chin.

Suddenly a finger tapped All Might's arm before the hand made gestures towards the hero. "Huh?! I'm not showboating I swear! This one won't be as long as the last one I promise! Yes, I know how many I have left!" The hero sighed at this, trying not to look exhausted. "Right! So moving on! You managed to pass the written test and you've gotten 31 combat points in the practical exam!"

The young girl sighed in relief at the fact that she managed to pass the written test. And if she passed then there was no doubt that Izuku passed as well. But now she would have to find out whether her score in the practical exam was enough to pass as well.

She then grabbed the All Might Keychain and crossed her fingers with her free hand as she closed her eyes. "Please be a passing score… Please be a passing score…"

"This score alone isn't quite enough to pass, it looks like you barely missed the cut! Sorry." The muscular man stated so bluntly.

Kyouka opened her eyes as she put her hand over her mouth and tightened her grip on the keychain. "I-I failed…?"

She felt tears threatening to leave her eyes as she looked down at the floor. If she failed then it means that Izuku failed as well. These past 10 months of training were for nothing. She felt like she failed All Might, her parents, and Izuku for not being able to make it in. How could she look them all in the eye now?

She didn't want to imagine how Izuku must feel once he gets his letter. He's been trying harder than anyone else to get in, pushing himself past his limit just to achieve his dream. After all of his hardships, she believed that he deserved to get in the most.

She shouldn't have helped that boy save the other examinees. She should've told Izuku that he shouldn't have saved that girl. If neither of them had done that then maybe they would've passed. What would they do now if they can't go to U.A? What other hero schools could they go to? Can they even make it into a hero school at all?

However, All Might wasn't done talking as he gave a thumbs up. "But lucky for you, there were other factors! We all saw how you stopped and helped that boy save the other examinees! And that's why I am here! You see, the practical exam was not graded on combat alone! How could a hero course reject someone who's committed to saving others no matter the consequences to herself? After all, that is what makes a hero. We are here to others who would risk their lives for the greater good. So we have rescue points! A panel of judges watches and they reward points for heroic acts beyond just fighting villains! Kyouka Jirou, 27 rescue points! Great work, you've passed the exam!"

The purple haired girl widened her eyes at hearing this as she looked back up at the projection, feeling some tears streaming down her cheek. "S-Seriously…? I-I actually passed…?

"Now I bet you're wondering if Izuku Midoriya has passed as well!" The muscular man said before wagging his finger at her. "I'm sorry, but you'll have to ask him yourself! Let's keep the suspense there!"

"W-Wait tell me!" She shouted at the projection as she stood up.

All Might laughed before reaching out his hand as he gave a wide smile. "Welcome, Kyouka. You have made it. You're now part of the Hero Academia."

Kyouka smiled widely as she heard this and began to wipe her tears. "D-Damn him… He really had me thinking that I failed."

She actually made it into U.A with 58 points in total. She couldn't believe that she was able to achieve this.

The projection then turned off and the young girl looked at her All Might Keychain as she gave it a small smile. "This thing is a real good luck charm."

Suddenly, she remembered what All Might had said about Izuku before the projection turned off. Did Izuku pass the exam as well? If rescue points are a thing then surely he should've gotten some since he saved that girl. But were they enough?

Kyouka immediately grabbed her phone and began to call him as she tapped her foot on the floor, obviously nervous about what the call would bring.

After a few seconds, he finally answered her call. "K-Kyouka…? D-Did you get your results as well?"

His voice was all choked up and it sounded like he was just crying which worried the girl as she widened her eyes. Did he fail the exam? Were his rescue points not enough? Did All Might purposely tease her just so she could find out this way? How could he be so cruel?

"I-Izuku, what happened?" The purple haired girl asked, scared for the answer as she tightened her grip on her phone.

"O-Oh yeah…" The young boy said before laughing a little. "I just got my letter from U.A and… I passed. I can't believe that I passed."

The young girl started to smile as she felt herself tear up again. "You passed...? You passed… You passed! We're going to U.A together!"

She suddenly felt like tons of weights were lifted off of her shoulders, knowing that they both passed. She didn't care that she was yelling like some giddy school girl at the moment. She felt like nothing could go wrong now. These past 10 months were worth it after all and now they could both spend the next 3 years together in the greatest hero course in the country.

"W-Wait, you passed too, Kyouka?!" Izuku asked as he smiled widely, feeling happy that his best friend made it in as well.

"Yeah I did, I made it in with 58 points in total with 27 rescue points. What about you?" Kyouka asked, feeling all of the tension from before being all washed away.

"I got 78 points in total, saving that girl gave me 60 rescue points." The teen boy stated as he soon stopped his crying. "I'm not sure how much that is compared to the rest of the applicants, but that's gotta be pretty high right?"

The purple haired girl nodded as she laid down on her bed. "Yeah, I would say so. Who knows, you might be in the top 10."

"T-Top 10? Wow, that would be crazy to imagine." The young boy said as he felt some confidence building up in him. "Maybe my score is close to Kacchan's."

"I know it is, actually I think you did better." Kyouka said with a laugh as she looked at the All Might keychain in her free hand. "Should I assume that you have your good luck charm?"

She was answered by a small jangle from his purple guitar keychain. "Of course, I'm very glad I had it with me. In a way, it felt like you were here with me."

This caused the girl's face to go red as she turned onto her stomach with her face buried in the pillow.

She knew she should've expected Izuku to say something so nice, but hearing it after feeling so much tension before made her reaction a little worse than usual.

"T-Thanks… I felt the same way about having your keychain with me." She said in a very muffled voice.

The green haired boy seemed a little confused at hearing his friend sounding muffled. "Kyouka, what did you say? Sorry, I didn't hear you very well just now."

Kyouka then turned onto her back before clearing her throat. "I-I said that I feel the same way about having your keychain."

The boy's face also became red as he heard that and nodded. "T-Thank you, I appreciate being a part of your acceptance."

The young girl's red face started to lighten up as she smiled widely, being as happy as she can be right now.

The two friends continued talking for hours until Izuku fell asleep from exhaustion due to him working out all day.

Kyouka sighed as she put down her phone along with the All Might keychain, now staring at her ceiling with a smile now stuck on her face.

"We're going together…"

The Next Day

It was now nighttime and Kyouka was currently running to the Dagobah Municipal Beach Park after All Might had contacted her, asking her to meet him there.

The young girl was fairly confused about why he had asked to meet her. But it couldn't have been a coincidence that she got her acceptance letter the day before so maybe it was important.

After a couple of minutes, she saw Izuku running ahead of her before she smiled and ran faster. "Hey! Izuku!"

The green haired boy widened his eyes a little before turning around to see his friend as he smiled as well. "Kyouka? Did All Might ask you to meet him as well?"

He stopped running as he asked her that and now the purple haired girl had caught up with him before nodding. "Yeah, he did. Do you have any idea why he wants to meet us?"

Izuku shook his head as he and his friend walked to the beach together. "Not really, but maybe it's about U.A. We did get accepted just yesterday and we learned that he's teaching there."

"I wonder why he didn't tell us though. I feel like that would've been important to know." Kyouka said as she sighed.

"Well, maybe he had good reason to, I doubt All Might would purposely lie to us." The young boy stated as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Well, he certainly had no problem teasing me by not telling me if you passed or not." The teen girl mumbled as she crossed her arms.

The boy laughed as he looked at his friend. "At least it all worked out for the best right? We're going to U.A and that's where the rest of our future begins."

Kyouka nodded and smiled as she looked at her hero. "That's right, these next 3 years are going to be amazing."

Soon the two teens reached the beach and saw All Might in his scrawny form standing near the shore before Izuku ran ahead to his idol. "Hi, All Might!"

All Might widened his eyes as he spat out blood, looking at his successor. "Chill out kid!"

"All Might's here?!"

"Wait, what?!"

The scrawny man began to whisper as he felt himself panicking. "Way to blow my cover! Say it was a mistake!"

"I was just kidding! Nothing to see here!" The green haired boy shouted as he waved his arms frantically in the air.

"Lame!"

"I wanted an autograph!"

Kyouka had now caught up with the two guys as they both sighed in relief before she laughed. "At this rate, everyone will know your secret in no time."

The man gave her a deadpanned look as he sighed. 'Sometimes I feel like she's one of my biggest critics.'

All Might then shook his head and looked at the two friends. "Congrats on getting in, you two."

The two teens high fived the hero and the boy smiled at his idol. "I couldn't have done it without yours or Kyouka's help."

"Yeah, we're both extremely grateful to you, All Might." The young girl as she twirled around her earphone jack, doing her best not to blush at Izuku complimenting her.

"Oh speaking of which, I didn't tell anyone else at U.A that I've been training you two or anything. I didn't lie when I told you that you wouldn't be shown every favoritism and would be treated just like any other applicant. You two got in all on your own." The number one hero said with a smile.

"Thank goodness, a part of me was still worried that was the case." Izuku said as he sighed in relief. "Oh yeah I was really surprised to hear that you're going to be a teacher at U.A. Me and Kyouka were just talking about that a bit ago. I was wondering what brought you here all of a sudden. After all, your agency is in Minato, Tokyo and everyone knows-"

"Getting creepy." All Might said, cutting off the fanboy.

The purple haired girl gave the hero a slight glare as she crossed her arms. 'I swear to god, I feel like I'm the only one who appreciates how passionate he is about this kind of stuff.'

The scrawny man then faced the shore as he walked forward a few steps. "The school didn't want me telling anyone about the job until they made an official announcement. It seemed like fortuitous timing, an easy way to find someone new to inherit One For All."

Kyouka then looked at her hero and saw his expression go down as he looked at his hands. She could tell he was doubting himself right now about being All Might's successor. After 7 years, she felt like she could read his facial expressions like a book and she knew that she had to comfort him in some way.

"You deserve it, trust me." She whispered in the boy's ear which made him widen his eyes a little as he smiled at her before looking at All Might.

"It's just like when we practiced at U.A, your power is still wrecking my body. I need control of it so I won't be broken after just jumping and throwing one punch. What do I do?" Izuku asked as he clenched his fists.

"You'll learn to manage it in time. Hoping to master it right away is like asking a baby to run a marathon. You still have to go through the process of learning how to walk. But I'd say you're making decent progress by using your fingers to break your body less." All Might said as he turned back to the boy as he picked up two cans.

"You can do it. You'll figure out a way to control this power soon enough, Izuku." Kyouka said as she placed her hand on his shoulder.

"I'm grateful for all of the support." The green haired boy said as he wiped a few tears that formed in his eyes. "I won't let any of you down."

"I know you won't young Midoriya." The number one hero said as he transformed into his muscular form, crushing the cans in his hand. "You'll learn to command this power with perfect control one day!"

"It is All Might!"

"No way! Where'd he come from?!"

"God dammit…" The teen girl said as she facepalmed. "You need to be more subtle."

"Ah crap! Right! Now we run!" All Might shouted before running away.

"Okay!" Izuku responded as he ran with his idol.

Kyouka joined the two of them as she smiled and looked at her hero.

'I'll support you every step of the way as you learn how to control your quirk. I'll be there when you prove to everyone how powerful you really are.'

A/N

That is chapter 21 done! Somehow I managed to finish this chapter in one day after 5 days of not working on it at all. I did decide to go with the short chapter route after all and chapter 22 will be what I was going to originally include in this chapter. That chapter might be a little longer, but I'll try not to go overboard and keep it near the same length. I want to save most of my energy typing for chapter 23.

I gotta admit, it was a little difficult trying to come up with what All Might would say to Kyouka in her acceptance letter, but I think I did a somewhat decent job at that. I decided to not show Izuku's at all since it would mostly be the same except for him getting the 18 villain points.

Next chapter will mostly be about them preparing to go to U.A. It'll mostly be character interactions and I'll also include a scene where Kyouka designs her hero costume. Another scene I want to include is that scene where Bakugo confronts Izuku about him getting accepted and I plan to have fun with that since in canon he showed some confidence and in my story he's much more self confident so it'll go a little differently. Maybe a little physical. The chapter will be a little fillerish, but also contain important moments as well.

Now onto the reviews!

MrSuperTrololol: If I decide to include Momo then there'll definitely be scenes of jealousy since I know for a fact that Izuku and Momo will have a friendship in my story. It won't be a strong friendship like his and Todoroki's later on, but it'll be there.

25NaMi: Thank you, I hope you'll enjoy more in the future.

TheAnimeStar: Don't worry, I have plans to show Izuku seeing Kyouka that way in the future. And there'll definitely be comedic moments where Izuku and Kyouka will get teased by their fellow students and get embarrassed.

Ability King KK: Yeah, Ochako won't see the rivalry too much at first and of course Iida will be a good friend to all. Wait, Kirishima was in Izuku's battle center? Damn, I read that chapter to help reference my story a little and I didn't see anything. I really had no clue where he was. All I knew is that he still had his black hair in the exam. A part of me wants to keep the teams as they were in canon, but I kind of want to take my story on its own path in that arc and I want to have fun with it. I already have plenty of situations planned where Izuku and Kyouka are worried about each other while being apart. I hope you don't mind my decision to give them different teams.

Akuma's knight: Oh I will give as many chapters as I can. Hopefully I can one day post them everyday again, but that's me fantasizing mostly.

Deku902: I'm honestly not too sure. I would like to say deeper, but I don't know if I could properly convey that. I'm still pretty new to writing stories and I know almost nothing about romance stories. I've never read a romance book or seen a romance show.

Naoto Koizumi: Yeah, I was originally going to put her above Ochako, but I figured that saving Izuku from falling to his death would earn her a lot more than Kyouka. Also, there's the fact that Kirishima got 35 rescue points and I'm assuming Kyouka would have lower, but not by too much. Having Momo with Kyouka and Izuku in the Shipwreck Zone could be fun. I would definitely have to get creative on how I handle that. I'm not too sure if Momo could make a Jetski. From what I've seen, the most impressive things she's made is a cannon and a giant speaker. But maybe I can come up with something else that can help them traverse in water.

Chuck Winanaki: I made Bakugo less angry here because in canon he didn't seem too angry in the entrance exam, but that anger will resurface very soon. And Kyouka is more passive cause I don't think she would want to make a scene or get in trouble at the exam. I'm not too sure that Kyouka's sound could be that strong with the speaker because I remember in that one episode during the license exam, it only managed to knock out everyone a room away which is still very impressive. In the meantime, I'll keep thinking of who to have as the third person and the location. I'm sure I can think of something eventually.

megaultrachicken157: I appreciate the patience from you and anyone else who can bear the wait. Of course, I'll always do my best to release them as fast as possible, but I'll do my best to make sure it's not rushed and it's decently done.

DesertBrat: Thank you very much, I hope to get more chapters coming out at a faster rate.

HeroLuffy726: Yeah I plan to sprinkle in a little drama here and there, but I only plan to go really dramatic for specific scenes in the future. I won't try to make every scene overly dramatic and I also won't avoid any drama if it feels like it could work.

Well that's it for reviews!

That's it for this chapter and hopefully the next one won't be too far off. Please feel free to leave a review!
