There were now 3 weeks left until the first day of U.A began and today was just like any other day at Aldera Middle School.

Izuku was paying attention to the teacher and taking accurate notes while Kyouka admired him from behind with a smile on her face. 'He's already accepted into U.A and he still wants to keep his grades up for middle school.'

It had only been a few days since the two friends got accepted into U.A and All Might had told them to expect their school uniforms and they would have to submit their Quirk Registration forms for the Clothing Allowance soon.

It was so surreal that all of this was happening so suddenly. A year ago, she never would've expected to be trained by All Might for U.A. And next thing she knew, she and Izuku were trained by him for 10 months straight and she even got to spend a lot more time with her hero. But the best part about all this is that Izuku finally got a quirk which is something he's been wanting all his life and better yet, it's a quirk that was passed on by his idol.

All of his life, people said he could never become a hero and even All Might himself has said this to the boy. She still hasn't forgotten about that and one day she plans to get him back for doubting her hero, but she'll go a little easy on him since he made up for that the same day.

After a while, the school bell rang and everyone started to get up from their seats, but the teacher then cleared his throat. "Bakugo, Jirou, Midoriya, please meet me in my office."

The three teens raised an eyebrow and nodded before starting to follow the teacher to his office.

'Is this about U.A?' Kyouka thought to herself as she stayed in the back and couldn't help but glare at Bakugo. 'I guess this confirms he passed… Fuck…'

Soon they all entered the teacher's office and he sat down before smiling at the students. "I can't believe that we have not one, not two, but three students from our school heading off to U.A. And to think, you're one of them Midoriya. It's a miracle."

Kyouka clenched her fist as she heard that and looked at the teacher, resisting to tell him off. One of the things she knew she would never miss from this middle school is the teachers who never cared about Izuku. 'Damn bastard. I wish I could beat your ass for doubting him all this time. Unfortunately, doing that will probably make me lose my place at U.A.'

Bakugo glanced at the two friends as his eyes widened for a split second. 'What the fuck?! Those two losers made it into U.A?! That can't be right! Earlobes is weak and Deku is quirkless!'

The ash blonde boy did his best to suppress his rage at the moment as he glared at the green haired boy. He knew that he was going to have a talk with that nerd as soon as possible and get to the bottom of this.

"I'm very proud that three of my students have made it into U.A. I feel like I've done an excellent job as your teacher. Mind if I take a little bit of credit for your success?" The teacher asked as he laughed.

"Of course, academics were very important in the written test." Izuku said as he bowed to the teacher.

The purple haired girl gently lifted his head back up and sighed. She didn't want to say anything to discourage Izuku because she knows that he was just being nice. But now she wanted to beat the teacher even more with how he's acting. 'You could've been helpful if you were actually supportive, you dick. At least we'll both be gone from here in 3 weeks.'

"Yeah, totally." She simply said as twirled around her earphone jack.

Bakugo just scoffed and crossed his arms, sick of how nice Deku was being. 'Does he think that he can look down on our stupid teachers as well?'

The teacher then smiled as he laid back in his chair. "Alright, you three are dismissed now. I'll see you all tomorrow in class."

The three teens then walked out of his office before Bakugo roughly placed his hand on Izuku's shoulder. "Deku, meet me outside of school right away. I want to talk to you."

He gave the boy a slight shove before walking away as Kyouka glared holes into the back of his head. "What the hell is his problem?" She then looked at her hero as she tilted her head. "Are you going?"

Izuku hesitantly nodded and gripped his backpack straps. "Yeah… I want to know what he wants. Plus, I know I can face him head on."

The teen girl couldn't help but smile as he said that and gently placed her hand on his shoulder. "Well don't think you're going alone. I'm coming with you."

"Okay, but please don't get too involved. I don't want to risk you getting hurt in any way and I feel like I have to face him without depending on anybody." The young boy said as he took in a deep breath as if he was preparing himself before letting it out.

Kyouka reluctantly nodded as she sighed. "Okay, but if anything goes too far then I will step in."

Izuku laughed a little before smiling at his friend. "That sounds fair, I know I won't be able to convince you otherwise even if I tried."

The purple haired girl smiled back as she took her hand off of his shoulder. "Let's go then, don't want to keep explosion boy waiting too long before he blows up everything."

The two friends then left the school and saw Bakugo standing in an alleyway, glaring at them.

"Oh boy…" The green haired boy said to himself, expecting something to happen as he walked towards his old friend with his best friend right behind him.

Bakugo glared at Kyouka for a second, wanting to say something, but just shrugged it off before refocusing his attention on Izuku. "Damn you!"

He suddenly grabbed the green haired boy and threw him against the wall. "Argh! What was that for Kacchan?!"

Kyouka widened her eyes and started to walk towards the two boys with her fists clenched but was stopped as her hero gave her a reassuring look. "Bakugo, you better not start this shit now…"

"Shut the fuck up Earlobes!" The ash blonde boy shouted before gripping Izuku's collar. "What did you do to pass the exam?! You must've cheated somehow right?! I'm supposed to be the first and only student from this crappy school to get into U.A! But you and your stupid friend had to screw that all up! I warned you not to apply!"

The explosive boy's arm was then grabbed by Izuku with a tight grip. "Kacchan… I have two very important people in my life telling me that I can become a hero. That's why I applied. That's why I'm going. Like it or not, you can't stop me!"

Suddenly, Izuku punched Bakugo right in the face with his free hand, sending him back a little. This surprised both Bakugo and Kyouka, but the young girl was smiling as she saw the person she hated the most be punched in the face by her hero. 'Hell yeah, Izuku! You finally did it!'

Bakugo felt some blood exiting his nose before some explosions started to come out of his palms. "Are you asking for a fight, Deku?! I'll kill you right now!"

"I'm not asking for a fight, but please just leave me alone now. I don't want to escalate this situation any further." Izuku said as he clenched his fists, looking at his old friend and refusing to back down.

"Tch! Fine! I'll kill you another time, but it'll be way worse than what you had coming today!" The ash blonde boy shouted before wiping his nose and walked away, preparing the next time he would confront Deku.

'Damn Deku. I want to fight you using the full power of my quirk, but I can't risk getting in trouble.' He thought to himself as he clenched his fists. 'But when I finally have the chance, you'll finally understand how much of an insect you really are.'

The green haired boy stood there as his intense expression turned into a shocked one before he looked at his fist. "D-Did I really just punch Kacchan?! I-I didn't even know what I was thinking! Crap, am I going to get in trouble for this?!"

The teen girl walked over to the boy with the smile not leaving her face as she shook her head. "No, you're fine. Bakugo may be an asshole, but he would never try to get anyone in trouble. Unfortunately, he's the type to take matters into his own hands."

"Okay, at least I don't have to worry about that." The young boy said as he sighed in relief, but was still bothered by something. "But should I have hit him? It didn't feel right, sucker punching him like that."

"I think you did the right thing, Izuku. If you ask me, you should've punched him a long time ago. He's been tormenting you for years, he deserved that and much more." Kyouka said with some venom in her voice in that last sentence. "Plus, if you didn't punch him then maybe he would've hit you. So think of it as self defense."

This made the boy feel a little better as he gave a small nod. "Self defense? Alright, I can work with that. But hopefully, I can avoid punching him in the face in the future. I don't want to bring unnecessary trouble." He then realized that his hand was still making a fist before he eased his hand. "Fighting him is something I don't plan on doing."

"I know, but you have to admit that a part of you felt good when you punched him." The purple haired girl said as she gave him a small smirk.

Izuku widened his eyes for a second before looking to the side. "M-Maybe a little… I guess it released some bottled up anger I may have had. I didn't even realize that I had that anger in me. Also, he did insult you by calling you stupid so that gave me a bit of push to hit him."

Kyouka's face went a little red at hearing that before twirling around her earphone jack. "T-Thanks. It's great to know that I was some motivation for punching him in the face."

The green haired boy laughed before looking back at his friend. "You know I can't help but feel that you're the main reason I'm able to not cower under Kacchan every time like I used to. I remember when the mere sight of him being angry scared me half to death, but now I don't feel that fear anymore."

"Are you serious?" The young girl asked as she widened her eyes, looking at him before smiling. "Well then I'll make sure to be there with you whenever you might feel scared. And whenever I feel scared, you can be there for me as well. We'll always help each other out."

"Always." Izuku said as he gave a wide smile to his best friend.

Kyouka then held up her fist at Izuku before he responded with a gentle fist bump. "That's a promise you know."

With that, the two friends began to walk home, knowing that they can always depend on each other no matter what life may throw at them.

A Couple of Days Later

Kyouka was sitting at her desk with a pen in hand as she looked at her Quirk Registration form. She had just come back from city hall not too long ago to get her registration, but it felt like she's been here for hours.

She had already included her physical measurements and now she needed to work on her costume design.

She knew there were a few things she knew she wanted like speakers on her boots that could help her produce sound waves for an attack. She also wanted to go for a rocker look but didn't want it to be too flashy.

She was thinking of getting a leather jacket and a shirt with a few tears in them to make her look more punk rock. That would certainly be awesome and she felt like it represented her perfectly.

However, there was one problem she came across when she thought of this idea. What if Izuku doesn't like her costume design? This costume was going to play a huge part in her hero studies for the next 3 years and she couldn't mess this up. What if she looks totally lame compared to the rest of the students in her class? What if her costume isn't as attractive as the other girls' costumes? Izuku had mentioned that the nice girl from the entrance exam had also passed the exam so what if that girl has a better looking costume?

The purple haired girl looked at the registration and reluctantly wrote, 'make it look sexy.' Writing that down made her stomach churn a little, but she didn't want to dwell on that yet. Now she needed to find a way on how to make it work. She then held the pen up with her earphone jack before she began to think.

What if she goes for a skin tight suit instead? Would Izuku take notice? But there was a huge issue with that. It's not like she has many curves to show off in the first place and compared to some other girls, she's lacking in size. It would just look sad if she had a skintight suit that showed off nothing at all.

What if she goes for something a little more revealing? She could get fishnets for her costume and hot pants. She could also have a crop top along with a loose jacket. Some punk girls only wear a bra and a jacket for their tops anyways so maybe that could work instead. She would like to think that her stomach was decent with all the training she's done. It was flat enough and could possibly be attractive.

But what if doing all that would make Izuku think that she's some kind of slut? What if the other girls have perfectly normal costumes and she's the only one who has a costume that looks sexy? She would be an absolute joke in the class if that was the case. And there's the possibility other boys could stare at her and Izuku doesn't. She definitely couldn't let that happen.

The teen girl then ran her hands through her hair and gave a frustrated groan, not knowing what to do. She knows that Izuku wouldn't care too much if her costume was sexy or not, but a part of her felt like it mattered. She didn't know if it was just her insecurities being cruel to her or not, but all she knew is that she couldn't think straight at the moment and that she wanted answers.

Kyouka then shook her head as she grabbed her phone before calling Izuku, wanting his advice on this. Of course, she wouldn't talk about the sexy part, but she just wanted any guidance at this point, and hearing his voice right now would certainly help her relax a little.

Just like always, he answered in a manner of seconds. "Hey Kyouka, is something the matter?"

"Yeah, a little… May I ask how you decided to design your costume?" The young girl asked as she rubbed her arm, feeling nervous about this.

"Oh, my costume?" The green haired boy asked as he looked at the costume he had just gotten. "Actually, I didn't design it for the Quirk Registration form. My mom made me my costume based off of the design from my notebook. She gave it to me a couple of hours ago, but it still feels like I just got it seconds ago."

Kyouka widened her eyes a little at what he said as she remembered the costume design Izuku had in his notebook. "Really? Your mom made you your costume based off of that design. That's amazing. How do you like it?"

"Honestly, it's perfect for me. It may not be flashy and it may not seem cool to other people, but I feel like it represents me perfectly. I think the most important part of a hero's costume is that the costume represents the hero themself. I know I would never want a way cooler looking costume if it meant that it wouldn't represent who I was. I know that even if this costume gets changed or upgraded in the future, I want to always keep this overall design for the rest of my hero career." Izuku said with pure passion in his voice as he smiled.

The purple haired girl could hear the passion and the happiness in her hero's voice as he talked about his costume which made her smile. "What represents the hero huh? Thank you, Izuku. I know what I want now."

The young boy became confused at this but still felt happy that he somehow helped his friend. "Anytime Kyouka, but umm… what did I help with exactly?"

"Just something that's been on my mind for a good while now. Now I know I won't regret the decision I make." The teen girl said as she looked back at the registration.

"I'm happy to hear that. I hope whatever decision you make will make you happiest." The green haired boy said as his smile widened.

"It will." Kyouka stated as she grabbed the pen from her earphone jack before scribbling out the word 'sexy' on the registration. "Well, I'll see you at school tomorrow and I can't wait to see your hero costume once we're at U.A. See ya, Izuku."

"Bye, Kyouka. And I can't wait to see your costume either. I know it'll be amazing." Izuku said before hanging up and continued to look at his costume.

Kyouka looked at her pen and spun it around between her fingers before looking back at her registration. "What represents me… I know just what to put."

She then started writing on her registration, replacing the word 'sexy' with something that represented her perfectly and that was 'punk rock.'

"Perfect, but I still feel like something's missing…" She said to herself before smiling and writing down a specific feature she wanted to be added to her costume to represent something that she loves with all of her heart.

'A dark green choker is perfect. I want him to always be a part of my costume even if he doesn't know it.'

A/N

Chapter 22 is done and thankfully you guys didn't have to wait too long for this one. This chapter was thoroughly more enjoyable than the last one in my opinion and I even enjoyed writing it. And sorry this chapter wasn't much longer than the last chapter. I really expected these scenes to be a lot longer, but I think this was a good chapter overall. I should've finished this chapter yesterday, but me and some friends have been having so much fun playing The Forest and our sessions go until like 1 or 2am. Also, I've been rewatching Avatar lately for the hell of it and I have such fond memories of that show when it aired when I was a kid. I also never realized until recently that Avatar had a fandom and it's partially toxic when it comes to shipping. I'm so happy I was oblivious to it when I was younger.

Next chapter is finally the beginning of U.A. Jesus it's taken me 23 chapters to get to episode 5. I swear season all 1 won't be finished after 40 chapters. The next chapter might be a bit of a wait because like the entrance exam, I'll feel the pressure to this right. I don't want to mess up on Izuku's and Kyouka's first day at U.A. I think I'll have the Quirk Apprehension Test take place in chapter 23 so it's going to be a long chapter.

By the way, for the USJ arc I've officially taken Kaminari out as a potential partner for Izuku and Kyouka. Which really freaking sucks cause I really like his character. But I just can't think of many entertaining ways to implement Kaminari compared to what I can imagine for Momo, Mineta, and Tsuyu.

And quick question, do you guys think I should have Kyouka keep her seat as in canon or have her sit right next to Izuku in class 1-A. I wouldn't mind keeping it canon since they sit close to each other anyways, but I'm thinking of adding a comedic scene where she makes Sero switch seats with her.

I've also been considering doing a one-shot that takes place in this universe about either Izuku's and Kyouak's time in middle school or who Kyouka as a kid again and show more of her obsession with Izuku. Feel free to give any other ideas you guys might have.

Now onto the reviews!

Chuck Winanaki: It'll be a long journey, but I'm hoping that it's all worth it in the end.

Remnant's Sage: Poor buff might is going to cry. He envies small might so much.

shadowwriter01: Maybe I can have a way for him to develop that technique where he activates a small percentage of it in one body part like what he did in the sports festival when he cut the air and punched Todoroki in the gut.

Ability King KK: My original plan was to go full randomizer for the battle trial, but I settled specific teams because that would show a certain moment I have planned in the battle trial. I will go full randomizer for some filler chapters where they do hero training and maybe in the Class 1-A vs Class 1-B arc. I do hope Horikoshi develops her character in the future though since she is one of my favorite characters.

SonicMax: Hehehe… I mean yeah you're right. I really want to write those romance scenes. A small part of me wants to write a one shot that jumps to the future for that lol.

Naoto Koizumi: I was originally going to show the little celebration, but I just couldn't find a proper way to do it. I guess in that moment I was having a slight writer's block. But hopefully I can have more scenes with them in the future. I would say she got close to Kirishima since he got 35 rescue points and she got 27, but I feel like Kirishima would definitely be more active in saving other examinees. Yeah, she has a higher score than my boy Tokoyami and poor Awase was taken out of the top 10 which makes me sad since he's my favorite 1-B student. Yeah, there will be more scenes in the future of Kyouka judging All Might. I like to imagine them having a tiny rivalry lol.

megaultrachicken157: That's right, Bakugo did get 77. One of the main reasons I had Izuku be at the top was for the sports festival speech actually. And I'll definitely check out that clip right after. All I know about the speech is that Izuku will be very humble and wish everyone luck.

25NaMi: Oh that's what scares me most about writing this story. I really don't want to mess up those scenes so I'll be feeling the pressure when it comes to them.

13talos: Fun fact, I was going to originally wait until they were in U.A for them to become friends, but ultimately decided that I wanted them in middle school together. But that certainly would've saved me 20+ chapters.

Well that's it for the reviews!

That's it for this chapter and I hope you guys enjoyed it! Btw, don't be too surprised if Chapter 23 takes a while to come.

Please feel free to leave a review!
