It was now early April and today would be the day that students across the country would go back to school, but for some students, it'll be their first day at a new school.

And today is the first day of U.A High for two friends and a certain girl couldn't help but feel nervous for the day.

Kyouka stood in front of her mirror as she looked at herself. She was dressed in the U.A school uniform and gave herself a small smile as she played with the sleeve of her blazer. 'Doesn't look too bad on me.'

She had to admit that this uniform looks better than her middle school uniform so that was certainly a plus. But she wondered how Izuku would think of her in this uniform. She now started to think about how he would look in his uniform. This made her face go red as she imagined how handsome he must look in that uniform. The fact that she's never seen either his uniform or his hero costume was killing her.

For the past 3 weeks, the two friends agreed to avoid talking about U.A too much and did their best to act like they were just normal middle school students. They did this so they wouldn't have to overthink anything and get too nervous about the whole thing. Also, they wanted to surprise each other on how they both would look in their uniform and their hero costume.

However, the young girl was still nervous nonetheless since these next 3 years were going to be very important in both her hero career and possibly her relationship with Izuku.

She felt like it was the first day of middle school all over again, but she was significantly less nervous this time since she knows Izuku will be there with her and she won't be a nervous mess around him.

"Alright, today will be a piece of cake. It's just orientation and then we all go home." She told herself as she took a deep breath before letting it out.

Thankfully, she didn't wake up a couple of hours earlier this time like her first day of middle school so she wouldn't have to spend her time waiting hours until it was time to leave.

Kyouka looked at her mirror once before she smiled widened as she brushed some hair behind her ear. "I'm ready."

Later, she had finished her breakfast and was at her doorstep, putting on her shoes before hearing her mom from behind her.

"Kyouka. We're both very proud of you." Mika said with a smile as she wiped some tears threatening to leave her eyes.

Kyoutoko had his arm around his wife as he gave his daughter a thumbs up. "Rock on, Kyouka. We know you'll kill it at U.A."

Kyouka turned to her parents and gave them a wide smile before nodding. "Thanks, I'll do my best out there. And don't worry, your daughter is going to kill it. I won't let anyone down."

Izuku had just left his apartment not long ago and was currently running down the sidewalk, making his way to the station.

Today would be the beginning of his high school career and admittedly he hasn't had the best start to the day so far. He had woken up late due to spending most of last night thinking of possible outcomes for his first day and ended up being in a rush all morning. At this rate, he could end being late to U.A and he wanted to avoid that as much as possible.

He wouldn't be surprised if Kyouka has already made it to the station and is on her way to U.A right now. She was always responsible when it came to getting to school on time and she's never been known to be late to school. It was disappointing that he wouldn't be able to walk with his best friend to the highschool of his dreams, but at least he would see her there anyways

Suddenly, he heard the voice of his best friend call out to him which made the boy widen his eyes. "Hey, Izuku!"

He started to turn around to greet Kyouka like he always did as he stopped running, not expecting to see her. "Oh, hey Kyo-"

The teen boy cut himself off, noticing how Kyouka looks in her uniform. 'Wow… Kyouka looks really good in that uniform.'

The boy's face started to become red before he smiled and looked to the side. "K-Kyouka, good morning."

Kyouka's face went a little red as well as she noticed how handsome Izuku looks in his uniform. Her eyes then went down to his tie and saw that it was much shorter than needed to be so she assumed he didn't know how to properly tie a tie. 'God, he's too adorable.'

The young girl had been waiting behind the telephone pole for about 20 minutes now for Izuku, waiting for him to pass by. This is something she's been doing for many years now since Izuku would usually get out of his house around the same time and he always took the same route to the station. This plan had been foolproof since middle school since she managed to walk to school with him every day. The only time this failed was when Izuku was overworking himself and ended up being much more late than usual. She knew she wouldn't be able to wait for him for too long or else she'd look weird to him with always coincidentally being late with him.

"Good morning…" She said as she walked up to the boy before giving him a small smirk. "Nice tie."

Izuku widened his eyes and looked down at his tie. "Huh? S-Sorry, I never learned how to properly tie this and I was in a rush to get ready so I wouldn't be late... Does it look bad?"

The teen girl shook her head as she smiled. "No, not at all. I like it a lot actually. It suits you."

"It does?" The green haired boy asked before looking at his friend and smiling back. "Maybe I'll keep it like this then."

"Perfect. I wouldn't have you any other way." The purple haired girl said as she stood next to her hero. "Are you ready to go?"

The young boy nodded as he gripped his backpack straps. "Yeah, I am.

The two friends were now inside of the main building of U.A and they were both running in the halls, looking for class 1-A.

Kyouka remembered how scared she was at the chance of her and Izuku not being in the same class. She knew there was a class 1-A and a class 1-B so it was basically 50/50 on her chance of being in the same class as him.

She couldn't help but jump for joy the day she learned that both of them were going to be in class 1-A. Knowing this information helped her feel way less stressed out about U.A since now she knows he will be in the same class as her.

"Class 1-A... 1-A… Come on, where is it?" Izuku asked himself as he looked at all the doors he passed by.

"There it is." Kyouka stated as she pointed to a sign that read '1-A' before she and Izuku stopped in front of the giant door.

"Man this thing is huge…" The green haired boy said to himself as he looked at the door from top to bottom, feeling the tension in the air. "Are there giants here?"

"Well, I certainly hope that none of those giants sit in front of me." The purple haired girl said with an awkward laugh, trying to ease the tension in the air.

"Y-Yeah, hopefully…" Izuku said as he laughed as well before gripping his backpack straps. "The most promising students in the country are behind this door."

Kyouka looked to see Izuku shaking his head and closing his eyes as if he imagined who could possibly be in this class. This made her think about that as well. Would Bakugo be in the same class as them? How about that really stuck up boy with the glasses? What if it's that girl with the brown hair? 'Shit, I hope neither of them are in this class… Please be in 1-B.'

"I'm sure everyone in here is nice." The young girl said as she looked at Izuku with a more natural smile.

"Yeah, maybe you're right. Maybe we'll be in different classes than them." The teen boy said as he nodded and took in a deep breath before letting it out. "We can't stand outside of the door forever."

He then opened up the door and both friends widened their eyes at what they saw. It was that boy with the glasses standing right in front of Bakugo with his feet on the desk. "Take your feet off of that desk now!"

Bakugo smirked at the boy in front of him as he tilted his head. "Huh?"

"It's the first day and you're already disrespecting this academy by scuffing school property, you cretin!" The blue haired boy said with his hand pointed at the explosive boy.

"You're kidding me, right? Your old school put a stick up your ass or were you born with it?" The ash blonde boy mockingly asked.

Both friends continued to watch this interaction with a blank look on both of their faces as they both thought the same thing. 'Just our luck.'

The boy with glasses looked taken back by this question before recomposing himself. "Let's start over. I'm Tenya Iida from the Soumei Private Academy."

"Soumei, huh? So you must think you're better than me. I'm gonna have fun tearing you a new one." Bakugo threatened the boy as his smirk grew.

The boy now known as Iida looked shocked by Bakugo as he gasped. "You would threaten me? Your own classmate? Are you sure you're in the right place?" Bakugo scoffed before turning to see Izuku and Kyouka standing at the doorway which made Iida turn as well. "It's him."

"Huh? Umm hi…" Izuku said as he gave everyone a small wave, feeling a little nervous with everyone looking at him now.

"Looks like someone's popular." Kyouka said with a small laugh as she started to scan her eyes over all the students.

Iida now started to walk towards Izuku in a stiff manner. "Good morning! My name is Tenya Iida-"

"Yeah, I know. I'm Izuku Midoriya. It's super nice to meet you." The green haired boy said with a smile.

Suddenly, Kyouka stood right in front of Izuku with her arms crossed. "Hey, don't think you can try to scold him again for any stupid reason. You were very rude during the entrance exam and I don't want that here either."

Both Iida and Izuku widened their eyes at this before Iida bowed down his head. "I apologize if I offended you or Midoriya in any way during the entrance exam. I promise that it was not my intention to do so. I don't want any bad blood between us and I hope that the three of us can get along."

Kyouka widened her eyes as well as she raised an eyebrow. "W-Wow, I didn't see that coming… It's okay, lift your head up. I guess I'm sorry too for jumping to conclusions about you."

"It's quite alright. It's reasonable that you would have such an impression of me after one bad encounter." The blue haired boy said with a smile, lifting his head up before looking back at Izuku. "Midoriya. You realized there was something more to the practical exam, didn't you? You must be very perceptive and I completely misjudged you. I admit, as a student you're far superior to me."

"I-I don't know about that. I'm sure that you're way supe-" Izuku said before being cut off by Kyouka gently poking his arm with her earphone jack.

"Just take the compliment. You deserve it for getting over 60 points on rescue points alone." The purple haired girl whispered to the boy as she smiled.

Kyouka's smile widened as she looked at Iida. It seemed like both she and Izuku completely misjudged him. 'I guess this class won't be as bad as I thought it would be when I saw him and Bakugo. Of course, it sucks that Bakugo's in here, but me and Izuku survived 3 years of middle school with the guy so I'm sure we can handle 3 more. At least that girl isn't he-"

"Hey! I recognize that messed up hair! Falling boy!" A familiar voice shouted from behind the two friends which made Kyouka's heart stop for a second as her thoughts were cut off.

Both she and Izuku turned around to see that brown haired girl from the entrance exam with a wide smile on her face. She began talking to Izuku about the practical exam as she punched the air multiple times. 'God dammit. Why is she here?

"You know, I should probably be thanking you for going in and talking to Present Mic to help me out." Izuku said as he looked to the side and rubbed the back of his neck.

"Huh? How'd you know about that?" The nice girl asked as she looked at the boy.

"Huh? Crap… Well you know… The message on my acceptance letter told me that…" The green haired boy explained, hoping she wouldn't think that was weird.

"Ah, that makes sense." The brown haired girl said as she got closer to Izuku which caused his face to go a little red from her closeness. "Anyways, what do you think we're doing today besides orientation? I wonder what our teachers are like! I can't wait to meet everybody!"

'This girl is very preppy… She's more forward than I ever was… Does Izuku like that in a girl? ' The purple haired girl thought to herself as she twirled around her earphone jack with that jealous feeling coming back to her. 'Fuck… I hate this feeling so much… Why is this one girl making me feel this way?'

"If you're just here to make friends then you can pack up your stuff now. Welcome to U.A's hero course." A homeless-looking man in a sleeping bag said before drinking out of a juice pouch.

'What is that thing?!' The four teens thought to themselves as they looked down at the man.

The man stood up as he started to take off his sleeping bag. "It took you 8 seconds before you all shut up. That's not gonna work. Time is precious. Rational students would understand that."

Kyouka immediately turned to Izuku to see if he could recognize the man. She knows that Pro Heros are faculty members at this school so that must mean that this man is a Pro Hero right? Unfortunately, Izuku had a confused look on his face as he looked at the man, not being able to come to any conclusions. 'If he doesn't know then there's no way anyone else is figuring it out.'

"Hello, I'm Shota Aizawa. Your teacher. Right, let's get to it." The teacher now known as Aizawa said as he reached in his sleeping bag before pulling out the U.A gym uniform. "Put these on and head outside."

'What the hell…?' Kyouka thought to herself as she looked at the uniform in confusion. 'This doesn't make any sense. Aren't we supposed to just go to orientation for today?'

None of the students were aware that Aizawa wasn't your conventional teacher and they would find that out very soon.

Kyouka was currently in the locker room with five of the other girls as they all changed into their gym uniform.

She couldn't help but look at the other girls as they changed and she noticed that all five of them had curves that would be fitting of a model and were well developed in their chest area.

The insecure girl then looked down at her own body, seeing that she was wearing a small-sized sports bra at the moment as her face went a little blue. 'Dammit… My body hasn't developed at all since middle school... Why is the world so cruel sometimes…?'

Of course, she had to be in a class with girls like these. Even the invisible girl has a sexier body than her. Now she was just praying that Izuku wouldn't take too much notice of these girl's bodies because if he does then she's done for.

"So what do you think Mr. Aizawa wants?" A pink-skinned girl asked as she slipped on the top half of her gym uniform.

"No idea, but this is very unorthodox for the first day of school." A girl with black hair replied before tying her hair up in a ponytail.

"Maybe it'll be something fun!" The invisible girl from the entrance exam shouted as she jumped around, being just a bra and panties at the moment.

'Does she have no decency?' Kyouka thought to herself as she looked away and continued changing.

"Ribbit. Well, maybe it's something about exercise since we're going outside in our gym uniforms." A green haired girl said as she put her finger on her chin.

"But what about orientation? It makes no sense to do some kind of exercise now. We can't risk missing it." The brown haired girl said as she pouted.

'That is a good question. I wonder what our teacher has planned for everyone. It's gotta be something important.' The purple haired girl thought to herself as she finished changing herself and cupped her chin.

"What do you think Mr. Aizawa has planned for us." The green haired girl suddenly asked as she tapped Kyouka's shoulder which broke the young girl out of her thoughts.

Kyouka widened her eyes and looked at the other girl as she twirled around her earphone jack. "U-Um I don't know… But the exercise thing you said sounded pretty good."

The rest of the girls were now finished changing as the pink skinned girl sighed. "If that's the case then I hope it's something fun at least and not too tiring."

"I'm sure Mr. Aizawa wouldn't do that on our first day. It'll probably be easy." The brown haired girl said with a smile.

"We'll just have to see once we go outside." The girl with the ponytail said as she started to walk out the door. "We shouldn't be late."

She was followed by the other girls with Kyouka in the back as she looked down at the floor. 'I hope none of these girls will be any competition…'

"What?! A quirk assessment test?!" All of the students shouted in surprise as they looked at their teacher.

"But orientation, we're gonna miss it." The brown haired girl said with sadness in her voice.

"If you really want to make the big leagues, you can't waste time on pointless ceremonies. Here at U.A, we're not tethered to traditions. That means that I get to run my class however I see fit. You've been taking standardized tests most of your lives, but you never got to use your quirks in physical exams before. The country is still trying to pretend we're all created equal by not letting those with the most power excel. It's not rational. One day the Ministry of Education will learn." Aizawa explained before looking at Izuku. "Midoriya. You managed to get the most points on the entrance exam."

This caused Izuku, Kyouka, and Bakugo to widen their eyes as they learned this new information, not listening to what their teacher said next. 'I got the most points?! Seriously?! How is that possible?!'

Kyouka smiled as she looked at her hero, proud that he managed to beat Bakugo and that he did better than everyone. Right now she really wanted to rub in Bakugo's stupid face, but she held herself back. 'When are you going to stop impressing me, Izuku?'

'How the hell did Deku get the most points?! Does that mean he got more than me?! He definitely cheated!' Bakugo angrily thought to himself as some smoke started to come out of his hands.

"Midoriya, did you hear me?" Aizawa asked which broke the boy out of his thoughts before shaking his head, making the man sigh. "I asked what was your farthest distance throw with a softball when you were in junior high."

The green haired boy cupped his chin, trying to remember. "I think it was around 46 meters."

"Right. Try doing it with your quirk." Aizawa said which made the boy stiffen before handing him the softball. "Something wrong, Midoriya?"

The teen boy shook his head as he gripped the ball before walking into the circle. "N-No, nothing's wrong at all. I'll do it."

"Anything goes, just stay in the circle." The man said as he noticed the boy showed some hesitation. "Go on. You're wasting our time."

"Y-Yes, sir." The green haired boy said, doing his best not to freak out as he felt some sweat going down his head. Everyone was watching him right now so he couldn't mess up. He couldn't use One For All with his entire arm. That would leave him broken and leave a bad impression on his teacher. He couldn't just throw it normally as well, it would probably leave an even worse impression if he didn't use his quirk at all. It seemed like everyone in his class knew that he took down the giant robot so of course they had expectations from him.

"I wonder what Midoriya will do. I'm quite curious about his quirk. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see him in action at the entrance exam." Iida said with his arms crossed.

"What are you talking about? He's a quirkless loser. He's just going to embarrass himself in front of everybody." Bakugo stated as he pointed at the green haired boy.

"Oh, just wait and see, Bakugo." Kyouka said with a smirk on her face as she looked at her hero. "You'll be surprised by what he can do."

"Huh? What are you talking about, Earlobes?" Bakugo asked as he glared at the girl, but got no answer as she kept looking at the nerd.

'I've seen what his quirk can do to his body. He can't handle it at all, but I've also seen that he can use it in his fingers. He can either impress me and show me that he belongs here or disappoint me and show me that he doesn't belong here. Right now it's his choice what his future holds at U.A. If he uses his entire arm then he's done for.' Aizawa thought to himself as he raised an eyebrow.

Izuku looked at the ball as he felt his hands trembling a little before looking back at Kyouka, seeing her smiling at him as if she's telling him that she believes in him.

He smiled back and looked back at the field as he planted his feet onto the ground. 'I can do this. I just have to find a way to throw this ball with my quirk without breaking my arm. That's it. I'll use my fingers like I did in the entrance exam. But I have to time it just right or else I'll break my finger for nothing.'

The young boy started to throw the softball and time seemed to slow down as the ball started to touch his right index finger before the finger started to glow. "Smash!" Izuku then threw the ball using the tip of his finger, launching the ball into the air with a powerful force.

Most of the students looked either impressed or shocked at this display of power, but Bakugo looked like he saw the impossible as his mouth gaped open.

Aizawa looked down at Izuku's score of 705.3 meters before looking back at his student. 'He performed a technique similar to what he was doing during the practical exam. But he timed it just right in order to throw the ball with just his finger alone. Very impressive indeed.'

"H-How was that, Mr. Aizawa?" The green haired boy asked with his right index finger now broken as he made a weak fist.

The man gave a wide but creepy smile as he felt impressed by the boy. "Looks like this kid can use his brain."

"Nice! He's finally showing us his true power!" The brown haired girl said as she cheered for the boy.

"His finger appears to be broken though. Just like in the exam. His quirk is very odd." Iida stated as he cupped his chin.

Kyouka crossed her arms as her smile widened. "Trust me. He's full of surprises. He'll continue to impress."

"Well, It wasn't a very pretty throw." A blonde boy who seemed to be sparkling said which earned him an earphone jack to the ear, causing him to crumple down to the ground. "So rough, mademoiselle…"

However, one boy still had a shocked look on his face as he felt himself shake a bit. 'What the hell was that?! If he had a quirk, he would've gotten it when we were kids! This is impossible! He's up to something!'

"I'm getting to the bottom of this…" Bakugo said to himself with some explosions coming out of his palms. The boy started to run towards Izuku with his hands out, ready to use his quirk on the boy. "Hey! Deku, you bastard! Tell me how you did that or you're dead!"

Izuku widened his eyes as he looked at Bakugo and held up his fists, ready to defend himself if he has to. "Crap!"

Suddenly, the explosive boy got wrapped up in Aizawa's scarf as he struggled to break through. "What? Why the hell is your scarf so strong? And why can't I use my quirk?"

"My scarf is a capture weapon made out of carbon fiber and a special metal alloy. And your quirk isn't working because I erased it. Now stand down! It'd be wise to avoid making me use my quirk so much. It gives me serious dry eye." Aizawa said with his hair now floating up and his eyes being bloodshot red.

"Wait, your quirk? And you erased Kaachan's quirk?" The fanboy asked as he looked closer at Aizawa before finally recognizing him. "Wait! I know who you are! You can look at someone and cancel out their power! The Erasure Hero, Eraserhead!"

"Eraser? Who is that?"

"Oh, I've heard of him. I think he works on the down low."

The Pro Hero sighed as his eyes went back to normal and his hair went down. "Alright, let's move on. We don't have much time to waste." He then released Bakugo with his scarf as the boy just stood there with Izuku returning to the group of students. "All of you need to know your maximum capabilities. It's the most rational way of figuring out your potential as a Pro Hero."

He showed all of the students Izuku's score of 705.3 meters which surprised everyone, including Izuku. "I-Is that really my score?!"

Kyouka laughed as she gently lifted up the boy's right hand. "Of course it is. But I'm not too fond of your way of getting this high score. You could've just thrown it normally…"

The green haired boy's face went a little red with her holding his hand like that before he gave a nervous smile. "W-Well I wanted to show off what I can do… Is that bad…?

"It's not, but just try not to be as reckless when using your quirk for the duration of the test." The purple haired girl responded before letting go of Izuku's hand.

"Ouch. Is your finger okay?" The brown haired girl asked as she got close to Izuku which earned her a glare from Kyouka without her seeing it.

"Sure. Fine." Izuku said with a small laugh as he ruffled his hair, also not noticing that the nice girl in front of him was having holes glared into the back of her head.

Meanwhile, All Might was looking like a shy schoolgirl as he hid behind a corner of a building and watched everything. 'Great job, young Midoriya! I hope you can handle the rest of the challenges Aizawa throws at you and young Jirou. You will certainly need to do the best you can.'

Now some of the students started to talk amongst themselves about what they just saw.

"Whoa! 705 meters? Are you kidding me?" A blonde boy with the lightning bolt hairstreak rhetorically asked with a nervous look on his face.

"I wanna go! That looks like fun!" The pink skinned girl shouted as she clasped her hands together.

"This is what I'm talking about! Using our quirks as much as we want!" A boy with long black hair said with excitement.

"So this looks fun huh?" Aizawa asked in a menacing tone as he looked at the students. "You have 3 years here to become a hero. You think it's all going to be games and playtime? Idiots. Today you'll be competing in 8 physical tests to gauge your potential. Whoever comes in last has none and will be expelled immediately."

This announcement shocked all the students and Kyouka felt herself shaking already with her heartbeat going at a fast pace as she rubbed her arm. 'He can't be serious? Immediate expulsion?' That's crazy.' She then looked at Izuku and saw him looking at his broken finger, obviously worried about these tests as well. 'I hope his broken finger won't mess with him too much. Neither of us can afford to come in last.'

"Like I said, I get to decide how this class runs." The man said as he brushed his hair back. "Understand? If that's a problem you can head home right now."

"You can't send one of us home! I mean we just got here! Even if it wasn't the first day, that isn't fair!" The brown haired girl protested against the teacher.

"Oh, and you think natural disasters are? Or power hungry villains, hm? Or catastrophic accidents that wipe out whole cities? No. The world is full of unfairness. It's a hero's job to try to combat that unfairness. If you wanna be a pro, you're going to have to push yourself to the brink. For the next 3 years, U.A will throw one terrible hardship after another at you. So go beyond. Plus Ultra style." Aizawa announced with a smug smile as his finger gestured the students to come at him. "Show me it's no mistake that you're here."

'We can do this. I won't be in last place and neither will Izuku.' The purple haired girl thought to herself as she did her best to calm herself down with her breathing. 'I can't be stressed over that right now. That'll only screw me over.'

The Pro Hero now started to walk away from the students, leading them to the first test. "Now we're just wasting time by talking. Let the games begin."

Kyouka had her feet on starting blocks as she prepared herself to run these 50 meters. She considered herself to be pretty athletic so this test wouldn't be too difficult. She then turned to her opponent to see the invisible girl in the same position as her. 'Hopefully, her quirk doesn't give her physical abilities any boost.'

Izuku had already done the test a bit ago against Bakugo and unfortunately he was left in the dust with Bakugo using his explosions to propel himself forward. But at least he got a decent time of 7.02 seconds.

"Runners, on your marks!" A robot announced as it stood at the end of the track. "Ready?!"

A pop was then heard which sent both girls running down the track with the purple haired girl closing her eyes, running as fast she could before finally reaching the end of the track and opening her eyes.

"6.87 seconds!"

"Well… could be worse I guess…" The young girl said to herself as she panted and looked at the invisible girl who was behind her by about a second. "At least my chances aren't completely ruined. And his chances aren't ruined either."

The next test was about grip strength and Kyouka sighed as she looked at the hand dynamometer. "This is going to suck…"

She then squeezed the dynamometer with as much strength as possible and looked at it. "I guess 33 kilograms isn't too bad since my body is pretty skinny…"

Suddenly, she heard a loud shatter from right next to her and she turned to see Izuku with the dynamometer completely destroyed and his left pinkie now broken. "I-I didn't mean to destroy it!"

"Wow, you destroyed it with just your pinky?! Now that's pretty badass, little guy!" A boy with thick lips said as he pat the shorter boy on the back.

"Impressive, Midoriya. And I thought my score was high." A masked boy with octopus-like arms said with respect in his voice. "It is clear who has the most strength in our class."

"M-Me?!" Izuku asked, embarrassed by the praise he's getting from these two tall guys. "T-Thank you so much… But you guys are both pretty strong too. I would hate to be in an arm wrestling match with any of you."

Aizawa then walked up to Izuku and looked at the remains of the dynamometer before sighing. "Well, I would've preferred you not to destroy that, but I have no choice but to give you the highest possible score."

The green haired boy's face lit up as he heard this, feeling less worried about his chances of being last. "T-Thank you so much, sir!"

Kyouka smiled at seeing his face look less worried, but unfortunately she was still worried for herself in being able to pass these tests with a decent score. 'I hope the rest of these tests aren't strength-based or I'm screwed.'

She then saw Aizawa walk up to other students before walking up to Izuku and crossing her arms. "Izuku… What did I say about being reckless for these tests?"

Izuku widened his eyes as he turned to his friend, scared that she's mad at him as he waved his hands frantically. "I-I'm sorry Kyouka! But we have to do our best in these tests right?!"

"Stop waving your hands like that when you have two broken fingers. It's only going to make the pain worse." The purple haired girl said, causing the boy to immediately stop waving his hands and flinched at the pain. "Also, I'm just kidding around. I admit that I don't like that you have to resort to breaking your fingers for these tests, but it's not like you have much of a choice. We're doing these tests to make sure we don't get expelled from U.A so naturally we have to do whatever we can to pass."

Izuku blew at his broken fingers before smiling at his friend, glad that she could understand him breaking his bones for these tests. "Thank you, Kyouka. And don't worry, I wouldn't do anything too reckless unless it's necessary."

Kyouka smiled back at her hero before giving the boy a very gentle fist bump. "Let's keep doing our best for the rest of these tests."

The tests continued with the next two tests being the standing long jump and the repeated side steps. Both her and Izuku's scores weren't too impressive, but her scores were a little better than his since she's more athletic than he is. Fortunately, a lot of students got average scores on those tests except for a few of them who got amazing scores.

She had just finished her ball throw with a pretty average score. The distance was definitely higher than middle school thanks to some of her strength training with All Might so that was a plus.

Now it was time for the brown haired girl to throw her ball and Kyouka placed her hand on her hip as she watched. She could see Izuku watching closely which made her stomach feel a little queasy. 'He's just getting a look at her quirk… Yeah, that's it…'

The other girl threw her ball and it kept going, going, going... and going until it wasn't even visible anymore.

Aizawa then turned to the students to show what score she got.

"Infinity?!"

"That's insane! How is that possible?!" The blonde boy with the lightning bolt hairstreak asked in shock.

"Wasn't that impressive…" Kyouka mumbled to herself as she looked to the side.

"You say something, Kyouka?" Izuku asked as he looked at his friend.

The purple haired girl widened her eyes as she looked at the boy. "I-I said… that she's amazing and has great control over her quirk…"

"Yeah, it's amazing what her quirk has the potential to do." The fanboy said with a smile on his face. "I wish I had my notebook right now."

"Yeah… That would be nice…" Kyouka said in a lower voice as she rubbed her arm.

It was now Bakugo's turn to throw his ball and he smirked as he gripped the ball. 'I'll blow Deku's score out of the water with this pitch. I'll only need a little bit of heat.'

"DIE!" The ash blonde boy shouted as he threw his ball with an explosion, sending it flying into the air.

'Die?' Izuku thought to himself with some sweat going down his head.

Aizawa showed everyone Bakugo's score of 705.2 meters which impressed most of the students, but two students weren't looking impressed in the slightest.

Kyouka put her hand over her mouth as she held in a laugh at the fact that Bakugo got a lower score than Izuku. 'Oh boy. He's not going to be happy about that. I'm starting to feel a little better now.'

Bakugo's face looked shocked that his score was behind Deku's by only 0.1 meters. But then that face turned to anger as he turned to Aizawa. "What do you mean my score is lower than Deku's?! I demand a recount! That shitty device is broken!"

"It's not wrong Bakugo. Now accept your score unless you want an automatic expulsion. I don't want anyone whining in my class." Aizawa threatened the boy as he gripped his scarf, ready to use it again.

It was obvious that Bakugo wanted to say something as he clenched his fists, but he just returned to the rest of the students in silence with his head down.

Kyouka was starting to like her teacher. Sure, his policies are absolutely crazy with threatening to expel last place and he definitely seems to be very strict. But he's letting Bakugo know his place and isn't allowing him to do whatever he wants like her teachers did in middle school. This is what she's been waiting for during her 3 years in middle school. This gave her hope that U.A would be a much better experience in terms of classes.

The next test was sit-ups and she got an average score once again. The young girl was starting to get frustrated at the fact that so far her scores have been nothing above average. She felt like she was doing better than that invisible girl, but she didn't want to risk anything. She had faith that she could get a great score in the next test which was the seated toe-touch, but she was scared that the invisible girl could one-up her in that one. So far it seemed like she was her biggest competitor in these tests and she felt like she was in a battle with her to avoid last place. She knew Izuku would definitely be passing with two amazing scores already so she certainly wasn't worried about that anymore.

It was now time for the seated toe-touch and Kyouka smiled as she sat down, glad that she was finally at a test she could do great at. 'Hopefully Mr. Aizawa doesn't mind this…'

She then extended her earphone jacks as far as she could, reaching 6 meters which impressed a good amount of people in the room and most importantly, Izuku. "Wow, I didn't even think of that, Kyouka. That's such a unique way of using your quirk in this test."

"Thanks. Maybe this'll be my amazing score." Kyouka said, not noticing her face being a little red.

Aizawa walked up to the girl and looked to where her earphone jacks ended before giving a small nod. "I'll accept it."

The man walked away as the purple haired girl pumped her fist. "Hell yeah!"

She felt her heart rate slowing down as she laid her back on the wall, relieved that she finally got an amazing score on at least one test. 'Things are starting to look up for me…'

All of the students had just finished their last test which was the long-distance run and Izuku was laying on the ground, panting from exhaustion as the rest of the students walked by him.

"Hey, we're about to get our results and I doubt Mr. Aizawa would appreciate you staying on the ground." Kyouka said as she extended her hand out to her hero.

Izuku looked up at his friend and gave a tired laugh as he took her hand. "O-Ow… I forgot about my fingers." He began to endure the pain as he pulled himself up. "Let's go, we can't keep everyone waiting."

The two friends joined up with the rest of the students as they all stood in front of Aizawa. "Alright, time to give you your results. I've ranked you all from best to worst. You should probably have a good idea of your standing already. I'll just pull up the whole list. It's not worth going over each individual score."

Kyouka closed her eyes as she crossed her fingers, praying that she didn't get last place. 'Come on… My scores were fairly decent during most of the tests and I had a pretty great score in the seated toe-touch. Please let the invisible girl be last…'

Aizawa then pressed a button which showed a hologram of the results, showing everyone's ranking. The purple haired girl then opened her eyes and saw she was in 17th place with Izuku being 11th place which made her sigh in relief. 'Oh thank god!'

She saw Izuku sigh in relief as well as if he was scared that he may have gotten last place. She assumed that he overestimated the rest of the students. She couldn't help but wonder who last was though. She looked at who it was and saw it was someone named Minoru Mineta. "Who's that…?"

"NOOOO! That can't be true! I can't be in last place! I'll be expelled! That means I'll never achieve my harem!" A short boy with purple balls on his head screamed out as tears streamed down his cheeks before his neck got wrapped up by Aizawa's scarf.

"And I was lying. No ones going home." The Pro Hero stated as he turned off the hologram and gave a wide smile before releasing the boy. "That was just a rational deception to make sure you gave it your all in the tests."

Hearing this gave most of the students shocked faces before the tall girl with the ponytail spoke up. "I'm surprised the rest of you didn't figure that out. I'm sorry, I guess I probably should've said something."

'Yeah, you should have.' Everyone thought to themselves as they looked at the girl.

"The dream lives on!" The boy presumably named Mineta cheered as he jumped for joy with his tears still going.

"That was pretty nerve wracking huh?" A boy with long black hair asked as sweat dropped down his head.

"Nah, I'm always down for a challenge." A boy with red hair responded as he raised his fist.

"That's it. We're done for the day. Pick up a syllabus in the classroom. Read it over before tomorrow morning." Aizawa said as he walked up to Izuku, giving him a sheet of paper. "Midoriya. Take this and go have the old lady fix you up. Things are gonna be tougher tomorrow when your actual training begins. Make sure you're prepared."

Kyouka smiled as she looked at Izuku, wanting to hug him for making it through this but she held herself back. 'We did it. And I know we can handle anything else U.A throws at us in the future as long as we have each other.'

Izuku looked at the two fingers he broke earlier as he exited the school with an exhausted look on his face, remembering what Recovery Girl said about healing taking energy. He may have gotten tired from the healing, but at least it didn't kill him like she said it could. "So tired…"

Having two broken fingers on the first day at U.A wasn't how he planned it to go. But at least Aizawa was just kidding about expelling anyone so in the end it all worked out. He even placed 11th in the tests, but that would only be the beginning. He knows that he has to get on top eventually so he'll have to keep working hard to make sure he achieves that.

He suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder and he turned around to see Iida. "H-Hey there, Iida."

"How's the broken finger doing?" Iida asked, concerned for his friend.

The green haired boy showed him his bandaged up fingers and smiled. "Oh, it's doing fine thanks to Recovery Girl."

"Izuku, how are you doing?" Kyouka asked in concern as she ran up to the two boy's, not noticing the taller one.

"I just told Iida that I'm doing fine actually. I'm glad you made it though. I would hate to go to the station without you." Izuku said as he gave his friend a wide smile.

"I'm happy to hear tha-... Wait did you say Iida?" The purple haired girl asked before looking up to see the boy with glasses smiling at her. "O-Oh hi Iida... I haven't introduced myself yet. My name's Kyouka Jirou."

"I'm pleased to make your acquaintance, Jirou." Iida said as he turned to the gates. "Now shall we make our way to the station?"

Both Izuku and Kyouka nodded before the 3 teens started walking together and the young girl couldn't help but look at the boy as Izuku looked at his bandaged up fingers. 'This is so weird. It's usually just me and Izuku leaving school together, but now Iida's here with us.'

"I was a bit concerned by Mr. Aizawa's approach to class. But I trust the school's judgment. U.A is the top program. Even so, lying is downright immoral." The blue haired boy said as he crossed his arms.

Kyouka gave a small smile at the boy, feeling easier about this. 'Iida isn't all that bad actually. He's definitely leaving a better impression than he did at the entrance exam. I guess I wouldn't mind it too much if he walked with me and Izuku every day. As long as it's not-'

"Hey! Wait up you three! Are you going to the station?! I'll join you guys!" The brown haired girl shouted, cutting off her thoughts once again.

"Not again..." The purple haired girl mumbled to herself as she recognized that voice.

"Oh, you're the Infinity Girl." Iida said as he turned to look at her along with Izuku and Kyouka.

"I'm Ochako Uraraka." The girl now known as Ochako said with a smile before looking at the three teens. "Let's see, you are Tenya Iida. You're Kyouka Jirou. And you are Deku right? Midoriya?"

"Deku?!" Izuku asked as he widened his eyes before his face started to go down.

"Hey! Don't call him that name!" Kyouka shouted so suddenly which made everyone widen their eyes but she didn't care. She clenched her fist, ready to smack this girl if she bad mouths her hero.

Deku. That was a name she once admired for 4 years of her life until she found out what it truly meant. It was the name of the boy who saved her when she was just 8 years old until she finally met him when she was 12. Now, it was a name she hated with all of her heart since it's entire meaning is to insult Izuku and it's from Bakugo himself. The day she learned that wasn't his real name, she swore to herself that she wouldn't let that horrible name spread around to anyone else.

"Wait, what….? But isn't that what Bakugo called him? During the fitness test he said..." The brown haired girl said as she pointed up to a bubble of Bakugo saying 'Deku you bastard!'

"Well… My name is actually Izuku, but Kaachan calls me that to make fun of me…" The green hair boy explained as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"That's unsportsmanlike." Iida stated as he cupped his chin.

The purple haired girl crossed her arms as she nodded. "That name brings nothing but trouble. Just like Bakugo."

"Oh, I didn't realize that. I'm sorry. But you know what, I like Deku. It'd make a great hero name! Plus I think it sounds kind of cute!" Ochako said with a wide smile.

Izuku's face went red after hearing himself being affiliated with the word 'cute' which made Kyouka look at him in shock. Was he really going to accept the name Deku because of her? She couldn't let that happen. She couldn't let someone else call him that name and especially not her.

She began to open her mouth to protest but was cut off by Izuku. "No thank you… I don't really feel comfortable with someone else calling me that name. I hope you don't mind that."

"That's excellent! Never let an insult take over your life, Midoriya!" Iida shouted as he clapped his hands like a seal with both of his hands above his head.

"It's okay I don't mind at all, but I kind of want to give you a nickname. You know Deku kind of sounds like Dekiru which means 'you can do it.' Do you mind if I call you that instead? I like the sound of it." The brown haired girl requested as she raised an eyebrow.

"Dekiru? I mean it's definitely better than Deku and it has a positive meaning. So I guess I have nothing wrong with that nickname… Dekiru it is." The green haired boy said with a small smile and his face showing a light tint of red. "It's nice to meet you, Uraraka."

Kyouka widened her eyes as she heard this and she felt her stomach going queasy again as she looked down at the ground and felt her heart starting to race. These two are sure getting along fairly quickly and she already has a nickname for him. She's known him for 7 years and she's never had a nickname for him before. Is that a bad thing? Does that make her a bad friend? Will Ochako giving him a nickname cause him to like her? Now she was worried about her future here and her relationship with Izuku. Will this girl be the reason that she'll lose her chance with him? It was all so much to think about for just the first day of school.

"Kyouka?" Izuku said as he put his hand on her shoulder. "Is something the matter?"

The purple haired girl looked up at the boy and shook her head as she twirled around her earphone jack. "N-No… I was just thinking about how crazy today has been for just our first day. I guess I'm worried about our future here."

"Yeah, it has been crazy so far, but I'm sure it'll get better." The green haired boy said as he took his hand off of her shoulder and smiled at his friend.

"I hope our future here will be great…" Kyouka mumbled, not meaning it the same way as him before smiling back at him. "It has to be."

"Alright guys, let's go!" Ochako shouted as she raised her fist high into the air before the four teens started walking out of the U.A campus.

Izuku was right between both Ochako and Kyouka as they walked with Iida on Kyouka's side. The four teens started to have a normal conversation together and Kyouka peeked at Izuku's face to see how happy he is right now. Even though she's next to the girl who could potentially steal Izuku away from her, she couldn't help but feel happy that Izuku is becoming happier and isn't as lonely as he was in middle school. A part of her wishes she stayed his only friend throughout U.A, but she knew she couldn't be selfish and keep him for herself. 'I guess I don't have a choice but to accept her… It doesn't mean I won't be cautious of her though. I'll make sure she doesn't try anything too funny and takes Izuku from right under my nose.'

She felt like she was making a declaration of war towards the girl and she didn't know if she was being reasonable or not. Maybe this girl had zero interest in Izuku and there's no chance that the two of them could end up together.

But she didn't care if she was being unreasonable for seeing this girl as a rival. After over 7 years of wanting to be with Izuku, she wouldn't be willing to take any risks.

'I won't let her be the reason I lose him.'

A/N

And chapter 23 is finally done after more than a week! I'm sorry this chapter took so long and I wish I had a proper excuse, but honestly I have been playing video games with my friends so much recently since all of us have so much free time on our hands. I didn't realize how much time it took off my hands until a couple of days ago with the time just passing by. I hope no one thinks I've abandoned this story or lost interest, if anything I've been dying to write this chapter for a long time now. I still love writing this story so much and I probably will for a long time.

Now I want to thank you guys for over 500 favorites on this story. That's absolutely insane and I never expected to reach a number this big. When I began this story, my personal goal was to get at least 100 favorites by the end of the year and you guys have absolutely crushed that goal in under 2 months. To be honest, this story was originally going to be less than 10 chapters and was going to be about a yandere Kyouka spending the entire story to get Izuku. But you guys have inspired me to actually flesh out this story and make it the best I can. I can't exactly say how this story will end because I don't even know, but I guarantee that it will catch up to the manga and possibly even beyond that. Again, thank you everyone for supporting this story and I couldn't have done all this without you. I'm sorry for this long paragraph in the A/N section, but I just wanted to express my gratitude for all of you. Hopefully we can reach 1k favorites one day, but if that happens then expect a way longer paragraph.

Alright. I'll stop being so emotional and continue talking about the chapter. As you guys can see, this chapter is mostly about Izuku since I feel like he would have the biggest change in this test. I really wanted to put much more focus on Kyouka during the test, but I couldn't really do that much since (no offense) I can't imagine her doing anything too impressive in these tests other than the seated toe-touch where I had her use her quirk.

You know, it still makes no sense to me how Toru didn't get last place instead of Izuku or Mineta, but I don't want to argue with canon too much so I kept her place above Mineta. And of course I wasn't going to expel Mineta. I guess it's very possible that Aizawa would expel Mineta if he was last instead of Izuku, but I just didn't want to kick him out and he certainly has some potential.

I hope you guys don't mind Ochako calling Izuku, Dekiru. Personally, I don't like writing 'Dekiru' and much prefer Deku, but I felt like it would've fit and that Izuku would be fine with her calling him that instead of Deku since Dekiru is something that's 100% positive. The main reason I'm having Ochako calling him Dekiru is to add more fuel to the rivalry between Kyouka and Ochako. Ochako having a nickname for Izuku is a sure way to rile her up. And I'm pretty sure the nickname won't last forever.

I want to ask you guys something about the next chapter. My original plan is to have pretty much the second half of episode 5 and all of episode 6 be in the next chapter, but I've been considering having the next chapter focus a little bit on school life and chapter 25 being fully focused on Izuku vs. Bakugo. I know exactly how I want to handle the battle trial, but I've never written a fight scene before so it might be a little tricky. So what do you guys think? Should I make the next chapter mostly slice of life and ending with the battle trials beginning or put everything into the next chapter?

Now time for the reviews!

Ability King KK: Yeah Izuku will certainly be showing off more confidence against Bakugo in the future and Kyouka's insecurities will be an issue with her at U.A.

HeroLuffy726: I'm just glad I never witnessed this toxic side as a kid. Also, I plan to have some fun with that scene.

DesertBrat: I was going to have her see it, but I wanted her to be surprised, but I'm sure she won't think too much about it get destroyed if it's just training.

Naoto Koizumi: I might have a fuller chapter where Izuku and Kyouka come back to their old middle school and see their teachers and old classmates. I know in the novels Kirishima met Bakugo's friends who helped bully Izuku and they said that they regret bullying him so I might do something similar. I didn't want to mess with her costume too much since I think it's amazing as it is. Also, thank you for that idea. I will definitely do a one-shot showing Izuku's point of view in the future.

itsa me mark: Thank you very much and I'm glad that every chapter has pleased you so far.

25NaMi: Yeah I predict that I'll reach season 4 by late fall or winter. But I plan to go even further than that so this story will last a very long time.

Tribun: Izuku will still look up to Bakugo in this story, but it'll be more of a "I respect your talent and how powerful you are." He definitely will see Bakugo's flaws and acknowledge them. Izuku certainly won't like Mineta's perversions, but since Mineta doesn't care about Kyouka I don't think it'll be anything intense. I'll do my best not to fall in that trap though.

shadowwriter01: I would say Bakugo doesn't care since he couldn't care less what happens to anyone else. I'm not sure if I'll revisit the teacher in the future, but if I do then I'll make sure to have fun with that.

Chuck Winanaki: They will become friends in this story eventually pretty similar to canon, but it might take longer on Izuku's side. Kyouka's and Bakugo's relationship will be a fun one to mess with though.

Russian Girl epta: Я рад, что вам это нравится, и я планирую исследовать некоторые из опасностей Джиро в будущем.

ShotgunChicken: It will definitely provide a very comedic dynamic of two people hearing each other, but forced to be around each other for All Might meetings. You can certainly expect the two butting heads a lot in front of Izuku and All Might. I'm not entirely sure how I'll handle the confession scene, but I know when I want it to happen.

megaultrachicken157: I apologize, but I don't think I'll do the camera thing. Kyouka will definitely learn about the fight and maybe other students will learn as well. I hope you'll enjoy what I do have planned though.

coreplater: No tengo nada muy especial planeado para Kaminari. Será mayormente similar al canon, pero me divertiré con él.

Xerzo LotCN: Izuku POV scenes will pop up once in a while and will feature heavily in the battle trial. I can guarantee right now that this story will not be a harem and I don't think I'll have Momo having a thing for Izuku. I actually do plan on having Izuku stay as class president. Yeah I agree, invisible girl should've gotten last in my opinion.

RisingRampage: USJ will be very similar in terms of power level, but the sports festival is when you'll see a real difference.

TheCrampReturns: I think I'll work on the one-shot after I'm done with the battle trial and it'll be fun to write.

Well that's it for the reviews!

I want to thank you guys for enduring the long wait for this chapter and I want to apologize in advance for me taking too long to post a new chapter in the future.

That's it for this chapter! Please feel free to leave a review!
