Booker bursted through the from door, placing his backpack onto the couch before immediately yelling for his mom. he kept yelling her name until she eventually made her way down the stairs.
"What?" Raven asked
"Here me out okay? you are aware that today is Friday right?" he asked
"Yes I'm aware" she answered
"Okay, so I was wondering...if Neil can sleep over tonight?"
Raven didn't answer immediately, she thought about it for a minute before she smiled at Booker and said
"You know what..sure" she said
Booker began to hug her, thanking her for saying yes. that was until she asked
"Wait, what about Ivy? don't you want her to sleepover too?"
Booker's face immediately frowned, quickly trying to think of an excuse.
"Uh.. she's busy this weekend, she has to visit family" Booker lied.
Raven looked a bit confused, but she soon shrugged it off
"Well okay, just have Neil be here before dinner" she said
"Okay, what are we having?"
"Not sure, we haven't agreed on anything yet. how about... Tacos?"
"Nah, we had that last week" Booker said.
"Okay, uh... Chinese food?" she asked
"Nope, Chinese food messes up my stomach"
Raven thought for a moment, before finally thinking of something else
"What about Pizza?"
"Pizza works" Booker said with a smile.
Raven nodded, pulling out her phone and heading towards the kitchen.
Booker then pulled out his own phone, texting Neil and letting him know to arrive before dinner
A few hours later
"Knock knock" Neil said, knocking on the door to the Baxter residence.
he smiled as the door swung open, revealing Booker standing on the other side.
"Sup" Booker said
"Sup" Neil replied, as he and Booker did their handshake.
"Come on in Neil. hope you're hungry, we're having pizza" Victor said, making his way to the kitchen.
"Yum" Neil said, as he and Booker made their way to the kitchen as well.
Booker and Neil sat down at the table, grabbing a few slices of pizza for their plates.
"Mom?" Booker called out
"Yeah Hun?" she said
"Can Neil and I Take our food upstairs?"
"Sure, but why?" she asked
"Uh- no reason. c'mon Neil" Booker said, making his way upstairs to his bedroom, with Neil following behind him.
Booker and Neil sat there in silence, hearing the awkwardness flow across the room
"So uh...why exactly did you want to eat in here?" Neil asked
"I just- wanted to talk to you in private" Booker Said
"What about?"
Booker didn't answer immediately, he just sat there for a moment before taking a deep breath and finally speaking up
"Neil, there's... something I wanted to tell you" Booker started
Neil waited for Booker to continue
Neil...I'm Bi, and I...like you.
