"Oh come on. What's going on here? He's just as strong as he's always been. Dammit. Don't tell me I was lied to." Shigaraki said to himself as he started to scratch his neck.
"What's wrong? Not attacking me? Didn't you say you were going to clear this level earlier? Well, come and get me, if you dare." All Might challenged to intimidate the villains as Shigaraki started to look scared.
"Man, this is… intense." Bakugo said as he watched the staredown between All Might and the villains.
"As I expected. There's no reason for us to fight now. He'll handle this." Todoroki stated, feeling like the battle is over.
Kirishima noticed that the two friends were still focused on All Might as he smiled. "Come on, you two. We should regroup with the other guys. The last thing we wanna do is get taken hostage or get in his way."
Both Izuku and Kyouka were thinking similar things right now as the girl clenched her fists. 'Dammit. I can see the steam coming out of his body. He's on the verge of transforming. He's having to resort to bluffing right now, but how much time does he have left until he transforms? If the villains see his scrawny form then they'll surely attack us. He can't do anything right now.'
"What? Are you scared?" The number one hero asked to continue to stall for time, hoping that the villains will either surrender or run away.
Shigaraki started to scratch his neck aggressively as he got more frustrated. "If only Nomu was here… he'd rush you right now. Pound you into the ground without giving it a second thought."
"Tomura Shigaraki! Please, do not fret." Kurogiri reassured his colleague before looking at All Might. "Look at him. He has definitely weakened. Nomu's attacks were successful. He's on his own. The children appear to be frozen in fear. And, look, our underlings are recovering. We likely still have a few minutes before their reinforcements arrive. If you and I work together, we can do this. We haven't missed our chance to kill All Might."
Shigaraki stopped scratching his neck as he regained his composure. "Yeah. Yeah, you're right. This is it. We have no choice. We have to do it now. I mean, the big end-boss is right here."
The rest of the low-level villains started to stand up as the red haired boy hardened his arms. "I think All Might can hold his own against these two main guys. Let's make sure these dudes don't hurt anybody else."
The half and half boy then turned to the two friends. "Will you be joining us?"
The purple haired girl glanced at Izuku to see that he's still looking at All Might. 'I know what you're about to do, Izuku… All Might's in danger and he can't do anything about it. And being the hero that you are, you're going to try to save him. I love that about you, but you do things on your own too many damn times.'
"Consider this revenge for what you did to Nomu!" Shigaraki yelled out as he ran towards the hero with Kurogiri creating a warp gate.
Suddenly, Izuku jumped towards the villains, breaking his legs in the process as his arm started to glow.
"Whoa, Midoriya!" Kirishima called out, surprised that his classmate got there so fast. "Jirou, you gotta keep your friend still in these types of situations."
"I wish I could do that, Kirishima…" Kyouka said as she raised her earphone jack. "But I know that I'll never manage to make him stop something he has his heart set on."
"Don't you touch All Might! You stupid villains!" Izuku shouted as his arm started to glow, preparing to use a smash on Kurogiri.
Shigaraki was about to put his hand through the warp gate, but a soundwave was suddenly fired at the villain as he put his hands over his ears. "W-What is this…?"
"Tomura Shigaraki!" Kurogiri shouted in concern for his partner before using his warp gate to send the soundwave somewhere else.
The purple haired girl smirked as she had her earphone jack plugged into her boot and stopped firing her soundwave. "You're not touching him. He's the one who's going to take you down."
The green haired boy smiled at his friend for a second and was about to land a smash on Kurogiri until a bullet suddenly went through Shigaraki's arm, causing the boy to widen his eyes as he just fell to the ground.
Kyouka widened her eyes as well and unplugged her earphone jack from her boot, wondering where the bullet came from. 'What the… Who shot that villain?'
The purple haired girl looked towards the entrance to the facility and saw the Pro Hero, Snipe, standing there with his gun pointed at the villains. "A-Are they here…?"
"Sorry, everyone! I know we're a bit late. But I got our teachers over here as fast as I could." Nezu announced as he sat on Vlad King's shoulder.
"I have returned, my fellow students! I've fulfilled my duty! And I've brought reinforcements!" Iida shouted out as he stood in front of a bunch of Pro Heroes.
A bunch of villains started to throw attacks at the heroes as Present Mic took a step forward before taking in a deep breath. "YEEEEAAAAHHHH!" This released a sonic scream towards the villains, knocking some of them out.
"I-I don't think I've ever been more glad to hear that loud voice…" Kyouka said as she covered her ears, feeling a slight pain from the scream but at the same time feeling glad that help had finally arrived.
Ectoplasm started to release some ectoplasm from his mouth, creating clones of himself that started to take down many villains.
"Our priority is to protect all of our students!" Nezu ordered as he pointed forward which earned him a 'yes sir' from some of the heroes.
The Pro Heroes began to take down the rest of the villains with ease as Shigaraki started to back up towards Kurogiri. "Aw, man. The pros are here. It's game over. For real. Let's go home and try this when we can-"
Bullets suddenly went through Shigaraki's other arm and both of his legs, knocking the villain down before Kurogiri started to provide him cover from the bullets as Snipe kept shooting. "We need someone who can capture them from a distance."
"I'm on it." An injured Thirteen said as she looked towards the villains.
"Let's go." Kurogiri said as he started to cover Shigaraki's body in his warp gate before starting to feel his body get sucked up. "This is- Black Hole!"
Kurogiri struggled to not get sucked in by Thirteen's quirk as Shigaraki looked at All Might with an intense stare. "I may have failed to kill you this time, but your days are numbered. All Might. Symbol of Peace. I am going to kill you."
Suddenly, both of the villains warped away from Kurogiri's warp gate as Thirteen stopped using her quirk.
Izuku groaned in pain as he laid on the ground, not being able to stand up because of his broken legs. "H-How did we do, All Might. Were we of any help to you…?"
"Of course, young Midoriya." All Might said with half of his body transformed as he looked at his successor. "Both you and young Jirou bought me a few vital seconds. If not for that, I'd be dead now. Young Midoriya. You've saved me once again. I know I've said this before, but you and young Jirou will make excellent heroes one day."
The green haired boy started to tear up as he looked at his hero. "Thank you… All Might. I'm just… so glad that you're okay!"
The purple haired girl wasted no time and started to run towards Izuku to make sure that he's okay. "Hey, Izuku! How bad is it?!"
"Sorry, I can't get up." Izuku said with a nervous laugh, a little worried about the scolding he might get from her since he broke his legs.
"Yo, Jirou, wait for me!" Kirishima called out to the girl as he ran behind her, trying to catch up with her. "Let's go check on Midoriya together!"
Kyouka widened her eyes as she noticed that All Might was now in his scrawny form and ran faster. "K-Kirishima, please don't get any closer."
The green haired widened his eyes as well as he shook his head. "Y-Yeah, wait!"
Suddenly, a wall formed right in front of Kirishima, stopping the boy to go any further as Kyouka widened her eyes before seeing that the Pro Hero, Cemontoss, had created the wall. "For your safety, please stay back, young man. Join your classmates at the front gate. Leave the injured to us. We can take care of them."
"Oh, gotcha. I'm on it!" The red haired boy said with a smile before running back to Todoroki and Bakugo. "Hey! He said for all of us to head to the entrance!"
The two friends and All Might sighed in relief as the hero started to sit down. "Thanks for that. You saved my butt, Cementoss."
"My pleasure, I'm actually a big fan of yours." The Pro Hero said with a smile as he looked at All Might. "We should sneak you out of here and get you both to the nurse's office. Seriously, All Might. That could've been really bad."
"I had to act recklessly or else I'd be dead now. Just goes to show how strong those villains were." The number one hero said as he wiped some blood off of his cheek.
The green haired boy gasped at this information before clenching his fists. 'This is what pros fight to keep us all safe?'
The purple haired girl crouched next to her hero as she checked up on him. "Izuku, how hurt are you?"
Izuku looked up at his friend and sighed before looking back at his legs. "Well, I used my quirk to jump so… you know…"
Kyouka sighed as well as she ruffled the boy's hair. "You know how much I hate it when you break your bones…"
The green haired boy widened his eyes as he prepared to apologize. "I know… I'm sorr-"
"Hey, you don't have to be sorry." Kyouka cut off the boy as she gave him a small smile. "I understand why you did that… But it doesn't mean I have to like it."
Izuku smiled before groaning in pain once again. "H-Hey, you're not the only one who doesn't like it."
"Let's get this young man to the nurse's office as soon as possible." Cementoss said as he looked down at the injured boy.
"I'm coming with him." Kyouka stated as she stood up.
"Kyouka, it's okay. It's not that bad." Izuku said as he smiled at his friend.
The purple haired girl sighed before shaking her head. "It's not that bad? Izuku, you can't even move right now. I would call that pretty bad. Plus, it's not like I'm giving you a choice whether I come or not."
The green haired boy sweat dropped before nodding. "Alright, I guess I can't argue with you much there…"
"I'm sorry miss, but you'll have to return with the rest of your classmates at the front gate." The Pro Hero said as he stepped in front of the girl.
"I said that I'm coming with him." Kyouka demanded as she glared down the much taller Pro Hero, refusing to back down. "Or do I have to make myself clear?"
Cementoss couldn't help but feel a little shaken up by the young girl, but he still tried to hold his ground against her as he cleared his throat. "Miss, please return with the rest of your classmates. I won't tell you again."
The purple haired girl was about to raise her earphone jacks to use on the Pro Hero until All Might raised his arm in front of the girl to stop her from doing anything. 'Lucky bastard…"
"Just let her go. Trust me, you'll regret it if you don't." All Might said with a small laugh, remembering his punishment for not letting her see the boy after the battle trial.
The Pro Hero sighed and reluctantly nodded. "Very well, All Might. I'll allow this just because you've given your permission."
'Does this girl have no boundaries when concerning young Modoriya? I wonder if anything scares her at all.' The scrawny man thought to himself as he looked at the girl. 'I feel like she'd go to Hell and back just to make sure he's okay.'
"You got off easy this time…" Kyouka mumbled under her breath before walking back to Izuku. "Are you ready to go?"
Izuku nodded and gave her a thumbs up. "Yeah, I think I'm ready to leave this facility… This has been a pretty terrible day of school."
Soon, a couple of Pro Heroes arrived and helped sneak both Izuku and All Might out of the USJ with Kyouka sticking by Izuku's side the entire time. Other Pro Heroes tried to get her to leave, but she wouldn't back down one bit with All Might having to continuously give his blessing to avoid any trouble.
Kyouka was now at the nurse's office with Izuku and All Might both bedridden as she stood by her hero's side while she started to wipe away the red face paint on her cheeks with her finger. 'I wish he didn't have to be stuck in this bed…'
"Well, I guess I won't scold you for him being back here since it wasn't your fault." Recovery Girl said to the hero as she sighed.
"I can't be sure yet. But I think I shortened my time limit again with that fight. I hope I can at least still hold the form for an hour." All Might said which earned a gasp from both teens.
"Are you going to be alright?" The purple haired girl asked in concern as she looked at the hero.
"I'm so sorry." Izuku apologized as he looked at his hero as well.
"Well, no use worrying. These things happen." The scrawny man said as he sat up, revealing that his entire body is covered in bandages.
The door was opened to reveal a detective as he walked in before taking off his hat. "Excuse me. Hi, All Might. Been a while."
"What the hell?" All Might exclaimed as he spat out some blood. "I didn't know that you were investigating."
The green haired boy quickly sat up much to the dismay of Kyouka as she put her hands on the boy's shoulders. "Whoa, All Might! It's okay he's seeing you like this?"
"Don't move like that when you're this injured…" Kyouka scolded her hero in a gentle voice, not wanting to be too hard on him right now.
"Oh, yeah, it's fine. This guy's alright. Naomasa Tsukauchi, my best friend on the police force. He's legit. I trust him." The scrawny man introduced the detective as he turned to his successor.
Tsukauchi laughed as he approached the hero. "That's quite an introduction. Sorry to cut to the chase, but we could really use any information you might have."
"Hold on. Before all that. Tell me all the students are okay. And Aizawa- Eraser Head. And Thirteen." All Might requested in concern for everyone.
"Not counting this boy, the only student injuries were scrapes. And both of the teachers are in stable condition right now. Relax." The detective reassured the hero as Izuku sighed in relief.
"That's good to hear." The number one hero said as he sighed in relief as well.
"If you heroes hadn't risked your lives, the students would never have made it. You three saved that entire class of kids today." Tsukauchi said as he smiled.
"You're not seeing the whole picture, Tsukauchi. Those students also risked their lives. They fought as hard as us." All Might said in a serious tone as he looked at his friend.
"Thank you, All Might." Izuku said as he gave a small smile to his hero.
"I don't think there's ever been a group of first-years who experienced a real fight like this so early in their training. They not only survived, they learned what it means to be a pro." The number one hero said as everyone looked at him. "Those villains made a mistake attacking them. This class is strong. They're filled with courage and drive. Mark my words. They'll become great heroes."
The green haired boy looked at his hand as he made a fist, seeming to be inspired by what All Might said before looking at his hero, earning himself a thumbs up. "We'll all do our best to prove you right, All Might."
The purple haired girl smiled as she looked at her hero with admiration. 'And I know you'll be the best one out of all of us.'
The detective's smile widened before he put his hat back on. "Alright, I'll be taking my leave now. I wish I could stay longer, but I still have more business to take care of regarding the investigation."
"Hopefully I'll be seeing you sooner than later." All Might said as he smiled at his friend.
"Yeah, we should catch up some time when we're not working." Tsukauchi said before starting to walk out the door. "Get better soon, you two."
The detective closed the door behind him as the scrawny man sighed. "What a day…"
Kyouka placed her hands on her hips as she nodded. "Yeah… I'm just glad it's all over now."
"Hopefully, something like this doesn't ever happen again." Izuku said before laying back down on the bed and starting to stare at the ceiling. "This was way too dangerous…"
It had been about an hour since Tsukauchi left and Izuku was currently looking out the window, watching the sun as it finally finished setting. He still couldn't get his mind off of the villain attack at the USJ and a part of him wondered how he managed to survive that.
If he was being honest then he would consider luck to be a factor in his survival. There were too many close calls for both him and his classmates today. And he felt beyond relieved to learn that he was the only student who suffered any serious injuries.
However, he was still worried about Aizawa and Thirteen, wondering how long it would take for them both to recover. He wished he could've done something to help Aizawa, but if he was being realistic then he probably wouldn't have achieved anything except getting himself killed.
That was proven when he was about to be killed by that monster until All Might came at the last second to save them all.
The green haired boy then glanced at All Might, seeing that the hero is now asleep. 'He deserves this rest. He risked his life to save us all and he probably has less time now.'
He then picked up his phone and smiled as he scrolled through some of his text messages.
Luckily, his phone was brought to him earlier so he could text Iida and Ochako that he's okay after seeing that both of them blew up his phone with text messages.
He still wasn't quite used to the fact of someone other than his mom, All Might, or Kyouka texting him this much. But there was no way he was going to complain. It was nice to have such good friends at U.A after only a couple of days.
He also learned that Ochako and Iida were one of the few students who weren't warped by that mist villain. And how Iida managed to escape with the help of Ochako, Sero, and Sato.
Even Momo texted him to ask about his well being along with reprimanding him a little for running into the fight without thinking. But she didn't seem too mad about it. She mainly seemed worried for both him and Kyouka.
This surprised him a little since he forgot that the two of them traded contact information yesterday after he became class rep.
He did apologize for making her worry and he explained that Kyouka went with him since Kyouka wasn't with everyone else.
But he couldn't blame her at all for worrying. He'd probably be worried too if two of his classmates ran straight ahead into a fight between All Might and a powerful villain. It was a scary experience for everyone.
Was he scared of all of the villains attacking? Of course he was scared. For all he knew, he could've died at any moment during that attack. But he wasn't as scared as he expected himself to be. He felt like in any other situation, he would be panicking and using all of his willpower to try to keep his cool.
However, he had Kyouka right there with him during the entirety of the attack. And when she's around, everything in the world becomes a lot less scary, including villains. He remembered how scared he was for his own safety when he was running alone towards All Might when Nomu had a grip on the hero. But when Kyouka joined him, he stopped being so scared for himself and instead became scared for Kyouka's safety, wanting to make sure she's safe.
He didn't know what it was about this girl that can make him feel so brave sometimes. It was like she had some sort of magical spell on him that gave him courage whenever she's around.
It reminded him of the promise the two of them made before U.A. That they'll always be there to help each other out when they're scared. And that's exactly what she did even if she didn't realize it.
He considered himself so lucky to have an amazing friend like Kyouka. From day one, she has been nothing but supportive and kind to him. Sure, there are times where they argue with each other, but it all comes out of concern for one another.
He then closed his eyes as he continued to think about the girl and didn't realize that his heart started to beat faster and his face gained a slight tint of red on it.
Kyouka soon came into the room with a plate of apple slices before knocking on the door to gain the boy's attention as she smiled. "Room service has arrived."
Izuku widened his eyes and turned to his friend before smiling back. "Oh, hey, Kyouka. I thought you were just going to change out of your costume."
The purple haired girl gave a small nod before looking down at her school uniform. "Yeah, but I figured that I might as well get you something to eat. You haven't had anything to eat since lunch after all."
The green haired boy heard a slight growl from his stomach before placing his hand on it. "Thanks, I appreciate it. I wasn't even thinking about food until now."
"I know, you aren't the best when it comes to thinking about your own health." Kyouka said with a small laugh before noticing the sleeping hero. "So he fell asleep, huh?"
Izuku nodded and looked at the hero as well. "Yeah, but it's not surprising. He pushed himself beyond his limit to defeat that brain guy."
"Yeah, I guess you're right." Kyouka said before walking towards her hero and gently laying the plate on his lap. "How are your legs doing?"
"They're mostly healed up. But I don't have enough stamina for them to be fully healed up yet." The green haired boy answered before grabbing an apple slice and eating it. "Recovery Girl said that she'll be able to fully heal them up by tonight though."
"Well, hopefully these apples give your recovery a little boost." The purple haired girl said with a wide smile. "An apple a day keeps the doctor away, right?"
"Yeah, I would love to be out of here as soon as possible. But I wonder, why haven't you gone home yet?" Izuku asked as he tilted his head. "I'm sure your parents are worried sick about you right now."
"Don't worry, I texted them that I'm alright and once in a while I text them again to remind them so they don't keep getting nervous. And I'm here because I can't just leave you when all of your injuries were from you trying to protect both me and All Might. What kind of friend do you think I am?" Kyouka rhetorically asked as she crossed her arms.
"I-I wasn't accusing you of being a bad friend or anything! I-I would never do that!" The green haired boy exclaimed as he waved his hands, thinking that her question was serious.
The purple haired girl began to laugh again as she shook her head. "Oh come on, I wasn't being serious. I know you wouldn't think of me like that. But I do want to hammer it into your head that I'll always be there when you're hurt."
"I'll try not to forget that." Izuku said before giving a serious look towards his friend. "Hey, Kyouka, I want to thank you."
"Hm? Thank me for what?" Kyouka asked as she raised an eyebrow.
"You pretty much saved both me and Yaoyorozu when we were surrounded by villains by taking them all down and you saved me from that one villain who was going to try to kill me with your soundwaves." The green haired boy explained before eating another apple slice. "I owe you my life, you know."
The purple haired girl's face went a little red as she shook her head. "H-Hey, no need to thank me. Plus, using the speaker was your idea in the first place and I'm sure the Pro Heroes would've gotten there in time before that villain could grab your face."
"Maybe they would've gotten there in time, but you still did everything you could to help out me and All Might and it worked." The green haired boy praised the girl as his smile widened. "You also gave me the perfect opening to use a smash so if the heroes didn't show up then I probably would've hit that mist villain."
"Then how about we see it as a team effort?" Kyouka suggested as she held her first out to Izuku. "You saved my life twice when we were surrounded by those villains. And you did distract that villain from grabbing my face when you tried to use a smash on him after all. That bought us enough time for All Might to arrive."
"Okay, but I'm giving you most of the credit." Izuku said with a nod before giving her a gentle fist bump. "Why do I feel like I can never argue with you?"
"Because you can't." The purple haired girl stated as she laughed. "However, I've noticed that sometimes your will can negate any argument I try to make with you. I mean I know it would be impossible to stop you from performing a heroic act. It would be like trying to convince Bakugo not to be such an asshole."
The green haired boy laughed as well as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Y-Yeah, I guess you have a point there. I never listen in times like th-"
He was suddenly cut off by Kyouka hugging him without a warning. "I know… But that's what makes you so amazing…"
Izuku's face went a little red at the sudden hug, but he smiled before hugging her back. "Thank you… I'm so lucky to have a friend like you…"
The two friends continued to hug for a little while longer with neither of them feeling the least bit nervous. For now, they just felt safe and that nothing could hurt them anymore.
A/N
Alright chapter 30 is done! I'm finally down with this arc and this chapter was my favorite to write regarding this arc. I have decided that I will go the extra chapter route so chapter 32 will be the beginning of season 2. Jesus, 32 chapters to cover 14 episodes and it won't even be the entirety of that episode.
By the way, I will be adapting OVA 1 in this story and that'll be in chapter 32. I'm not exactly sure how I want to handle most of the first half though. I know for a fact I'll have All Might pretending you be a villain. However, I'm not too sure how I want to handle the students doing rescue training.
I want to have some parts be like the OVA like when Izuku, Iida, and Ochako are pretending to be trapped citizens cause that'll be a fun jealous moment for Kyouka. But I kind of want to have my own version of the student doing rescue training of what happened before All Might arrived. I might go completely random on who the citizens are and who the rescuers are, but I know I want to have Kyouka and Izuku be on the rescue team at least once. But I don't think I'll team them up together though. And the training All Might interrupted originally had Izuku, Bakugo, Mineta, and Ochako be the rescuers, but I might change it or keep that the same.

Xerzo LotCN: Well I guess in her defense, it's not public knowledge how exactly Tokoyami's quirk works. I mean he had to explain it to Izuku personally. I personally believe in the theory of Izuku subconsciously holding back, but it's not like it really matters, the same results happened anyways.
