A Few Drinks and A Little Ink
"How about this?" Olivia said, coming out of her closet holding a dress on a hanger. They had been discussing where Elliot was going to buy her a drink and she decided since they had the night to themselves maybe they could have a little fun.
Elliot had just stepped out of the shower and started to dry himself off when Olivia entered the bathroom. He turned to look at what she wanted to show him and was met with heat in her eyes as she raked them over his naked body.
After their nap on the couch El had woken up to Olivia molded to his side, her face buried in his neck, and her arm wrapped tightly around his waist. He reveled in moments like these. In their line of work, anything could happen. And he knew he was damn lucky nothing… permanent had happened to either of them in the ten years he spent away from her.
But he didn't want to think about the past. He had his future laying in his arms. He listened to her breathe. He could feel her heartbeat, and the warmth of her skin on his. She was alive and in his arms. He hadn't wanted to wake her but his need to love her like she deserved had swept over him.
He moved to kiss her awake, and when she slowly started to kiss him back, he picked her up and carried her to her bedroom. He had slowly made love to her, savoring every delicate moment between them. He was amazed every time how she could drive him crazy with want and lust and make him want to do things… crazy things, and then she would make him feel more loved… more wanted… more trusted than he had ever felt. It melted his heart and he wanted nothing more than to love her slowly… treasure her, and so he did for the rest of the afternoon and into the early evening.
Now, they were getting ready to go out. He had to admit, he was more than excited to take Olivia out again. Sure, there were things they could do here in her apartment, naked for the rest of the night, but that would come later. It wasn't even about showing her off, even though the thought of that was maybe a little part of it. It was more about the fact that he could actually take her out. With no other pretense than he wanted to.
Every time they had gotten a drink after work together it was always with other people. It was never just the two of them. And it was always after a tough case, or just a hard day of work. He had always wanted to just… take her out, get a drink with her… and maybe with a little liquid courage he could have finally decided to cross one of their invisible barriers.
But that had never happened.
There were no barriers now though… now he could take her out… be… all over her in public… they could be themselves… together… anywhere. It was… exciting.
He loved the complete ego boost it gave him when she looked at him like she was right now. It was making his blood pump faster through his veins. He looked at the dress she was holding in front of her body. It would look fantastic on her… and even better later tonight on the floor.
"Sure…" he said, a glint in his eye. "You look good in anything… but you look perfect with nothing on…" he said, his voice lowering.
She laughed at him and rolled her eyes playfully, lowering the dress and he saw the lavender colored bra and matching panties. He sucked in a deep breath and before he knew it his hands had moved seemingly of their own volition to her skin playing with the straps of her bra.
He hadn't seen this one in that drawer of temptation of hers. The color made her golden skin look darker… like caramel… and he wanted a taste.
His eyes just couldn't leave her cleavage, and they traced the line of her bra, while his right index finger followed lightly across her skin. He pulled her to him with his left hand and finally was able to look into her eyes.
They were smoldering. If he had been made of paper, he'd be a pile of ashes at her feet.
When he saw her lips start to curl up into a smile his need to kiss her took over. His right hand moved from her chest up her neck, his fingers grabbing the back of her neck firmly and pulling her to his lips. She opened, immediately letting him in… letting his tongue take what he wanted.
He wanted her again. He wanted her wet and shaking. He wanted to be buried deep inside her feeling her clench around him as he made her come. He wanted her lips on his ear, hearing her voice beg him to keep going, feeling her breath on his skin. His name on her lips when he split her in two.
Who was he kidding… he always wanted her like that. He wanted her in every way all the time. She had alcohol here, right? He'd make her a drink later.
Olivia could feel his hand tighten around her neck and she knew where this was going. And as much as she wanted him too, she was determined to at least make it out for a drink.
She slid her hands around his waist, letting the dress and hanger drop to the floor. She decided to enjoy his desperation for her for a few more seconds before she moved her hand down to his erection and stroked him, knowing that would distract him enough for her to get a grip on herself.
He gasped as he broke their kiss, moving his forehead to her shoulder and breathing heavily. God her hands… how in the world did she do that. Everything about her could bring him to his knees. The power she wielded over him was staggering and yet the astonishing thing about it was she barely ever used it. She truly loved him equally and didn't use her powers for evil… except when he asked her to.
She could get him to do anything. All she had to do was use her eyes… her lips… her hands… or her mouth… sometimes just her voice would be enough to make him crawl through broken glass for her… if she asked. So, yea… she could get him to do anything.
Anything.
But she didn't. She wasn't that kind of woman. She wasn't that kind of person… her kindness and compassion and ability to love him unconditionally were the only powers she used and all that did was make him love her more.
"Hmmm… sweets…" Olivia said trying her best to set her mind to what she had planned for them, and not what she wanted to keep doing here with him.
"Hmmmmmmmm" he answered, it was the only sound he could make at the moment.
"I really really want to keep doing this with you…" she said continuing to stroke him.
"But I also really think you should buy me a drink…" she stopped her hand right at his tip, smoothing the moisture there already over him. He looked up at her.
"I know you've always wanted to… and I promise it will be worth it…" she said in her deep husky voice.
He nodded his head yes because now he couldn't even get a sound to come out of his mouth. The promise behind that sultry voice of hers was more than enough to entice him to try to calm himself enough to get dressed.
She smiled at him coyly and kissed his scruffy cheek as she moved her hand from his erection. She brought her other hand up to his face, touching the scruff growing there.
He cleared his throat, "I can shave real quick… it will only take a minute." He said his voice finally coming back to him since she had let go of him.
"Don't…" she said smiling and running both her hands over his jaw and chin. "I like it…" she whispered. He felt goosebumps ripple over his skin. Kathy had hated it whenever he had even a barely there five o'clock shadow. And the fact that Liv apparently liked it… that did something to him.
She turned from him and bent over purposely placing her ass right in front of him to pick up the dress she dropped.
She chuckled to herself when she heard him growl deep in his chest and then suck in a deep breath. She turned to look back to him, knowing exactly what she was doing. The look on his face was priceless.
"You gonna make it Stabler?" she said, barely keeping her laughter to herself.
"I don't know… you're making it… real hard…" he said, a big smile crossing his face at his innuendo. "And that dress isn't gonna make it any better." He said pointing to her outfit.
She smiled, and he saw a little mischief behind her eyes. He was in trouble for sure now.
"Hmm... I changed my mind on this," she said swinging the dress a little. "I've got something… a little more fun…" and with that comment she left the bathroom.
Elliot ran his hand down his face and delicately turned on the faucet to splash some cold water on his face. He wasn't sure how long he'd make it, but he was damn sure going to try.

Elliot exited the bathroom and went to her dresser to get dressed.
"I put your clothes in my dresser." He heard her shout from her closet.
"Thanks, beautiful…" he said, and went to the drawer he had already found earlier. He pulled out a pair of black jeans and a grey long sleeve Henley. He was about to grab his black briefs, but then decided to go commando. Liv wasn't the only one with tricks up her sleeve.
He got dressed, grabbing his shoes and sat down in the chair in the corner of her room to put them on.
"Well… what do you think?" he heard her say and then looked up. If he hadn't of been sitting already, he would have fell to his knees.
She was wearing a white loose-fitting t-shirt with a deep V neck, and he could see just the edge of her lavender bra. He swallowed and looked past her shirt and saw black leather.
She was wearing a fucking black leather skirt.
Fucking leather.
He felt lightheaded and licked his lips. Was he drooling?
His eyes made it past her skirt and were immediately met with a pair of suede thigh high black boots.
Goddamn she looked hot.
Like dirty hot. Like… so hot his mind was starting to short circuit.
"Well?" she said, standing there watching him just move his eyes over her, not saying a word.
"Fuck Liv…" he said, finding his will to stand and moved closer to her. "You look…" he swallowed and blinked a few times trying to come up with a word in his vocabulary that could describe just how hot she looked, but his mind was blank.
"Goddamn…" he said, not finding the right word, and his hands came around her waist, sliding over the leather to her ass.
God, she smelled good. He breathed in the scent of her hair, and her perfume mixed with that distinct smell of her. One his nose would never forget and always seek out. The feel of the leather over her ass sent a vibration through him he could only describe as molecular.
He felt her breathing starting to deepen, and she swayed with him a little. She swallowed hard, looking at him in his long sleeve shirt, her hands moving softly over the lines of hard muscle underneath.
"Just need one more thing…" she said and moved from him to her jewelry box. She took out the medallion he had given her and handed it to him to put it around her neck. He took it from her, and she turned moving her hair out of the way. He unclasped the necklace, lifted it over her head, and hooked it around her neck. He lingered on the nape of her neck and left a soft kiss there. He smiled when he saw the goosebumps spread across her skin.
She had taken it off when they had taken a bath earlier. He had forgotten about it until now, and it made his heart swell that she didn't, and had him put it back on her. Hopefully … it wouldn't be the last piece of jewelry he would be putting on her he thought.
"Ready?" she asked, her voice soft as she turned and took his hand in hers.
"Always…" he said.

It was a little after nine when they got to the bar they had decided on. They had been to it before. A very long time ago. It wasn't fancy, but it wasn't a hole in the wall either. Or a cop bar. They had both decided the last place they wanted to go was a cop bar.
It was busy, but not too crowded. They took a small two-person booth along the back wall. Liv had grabbed a light jacket on their way out and was shrugging out of it as El moved to the bar to get them a drink. He turned to look at her sitting there. She was more beautiful every time he looked at her. She smiled and winked at him, and he felt warmth spread throughout him. He softly smiled back at her.
"Lucky man… that your woman?" the bartender said, getting Elliot's attention.
He eyed the bartender for a second, sizing him up to see just where this guy was going with that comment, and decided he was harmless.
"Yea…" he said, smiling.
"She's sure is…" the bartender started to say and then saw the tint in Elliot's eyes darken a bit and changed his tone before he finished, "… beautiful. What can I get you?"
Elliot pulled up his sleeves and put his elbows on the bar bringing his hands together in front of him. He didn't need to flex. This guy was absolutely no threat, but he just couldn't help himself. When it came to Olivia, he would always be jealous. It was just in his blood.
"Two bottles of the light," he said pointing to the board above the bar, "And two shots of Patron with some lime and salt." Elliot said keeping his sharp eye contact on the bartender, and then smiled.
The bartender nodded. "Coming up…"
Elliot relaxed a bit while he waited, watching the guy pop the tops of the two bottles, setting them in front of Elliot, and then he grabbed two shot glasses, filled them with tequila, and put a few lime wedges in a small bowl and handed him a saltshaker.
Elliot put his card down. "I'll start a tab." He said, a little nicer. The bartender took the card, started the tab, and handed it back to El.
"You might wanna head back to your table…" the bartender said, pointing in the direction of Olivia. At first Elliot felt a prick of anger slide up into his back, but the look on the bartender's face said something else.
Elliot looked to where Liv was and sure as shit, a man was standing at their table talking to Olivia.
He turned back to the bar to grab their drinks, tucking the bottles in his arm and grabbing the shots with one hand and the limes and salt with the other.
"You start a fight and I'll have to kick you out…" the bartender said flatly. It wasn't a threat, just a statement. El nodded and started walking back to his table… with his woman waiting.
"You lost?" Elliot said, moving his way to their table and setting their drinks down. He stood in the space in front of their table, forcing the man to back up a little.
He looked the guy up and down, his muscles tensing. The guy was a suit. A lawyer probably. A pretty boy. He saw him swallow, looking for the words stuck in his throat.
He could see his presence had startled the suit. Elliot puffed out his chest, moving to stand in his way a little more, clearly getting his point across, waiting for a response.
"This is Evan…" Olivia said. Evan turned to look at Olivia, but Elliot's focus stayed on Evan.
"Evan, this is Elliot… the boyfriend I was just telling you about." She said smiling.
"Boyfriend…" he looked back at Elliot. Elliot smiled.
"Right… I'll just…" Evan said pointing in the direction of the bar, and then he started to move away from the table.
"Bye Evan…" Elliot said flatly. He then turned to Olivia.
"You're so bad…" Olivia said not being able to keep herself from laughing at the full Stabler grin that was now across his face.
"Well…" he said, sliding in the booth, putting his arm around her, "I can't have people hitting on my woman…" he looked at her face to see her reaction to calling her his woman, and he saw her eyebrow shoot up, but she didn't stop him.
"And now I can do something about it, unlike before." He said, hooking his arm around her neck pulling her closer to him.
"Oh, come on!" she laughed. "Unlike before?" Olivia said, shifting her legs so they were now across his lap, and were met with El's hands gripping her knees.
"What?" El said feigning innocence, of which he had none to speak of. He smiled, looking at her waiting for her to prove him wrong.
"Um… Cassidy… that reporter…" she paused, her eyes widening when she remembered the next name on the list. "…Porter!" she said.
"Oh, geez Liv… Porter… I hated that guy."
She laughed at his reaction. "Admit it… you hated every guy." She said laughing.
"Yea… well I especially hated Porter…" he said taking a breath in.
"You were so loud with your feelings El," Liv said remembering when Porter offered her a ride home, and Elliot answered for her.
"I thought Cragen was gonna have a fit." She said chuckling.
"Yea well, the guy was scum Liv. He used you as bait." He said, his voice getting a little lower remembering the moment he thought his life ended when he thought she might have been shot.
Olivia saw where his mind was going, and she remembered it as well. But she hadn't been shot, and he was right there, to comfort her, hold her. It was one of those few instances of their partnership where no one questioned him holding her, touching her. They all just… let it slide. And then never talked about it again.
But tonight, wasn't about reliving old scars. Tonight, was about getting to do things they had denied themselves for so long. Too long.
She moved her face closer to his ear, circling her arms around her waist.
"He was just asking if I needed a ride El…" she said, her voice low.
"Yea, well… that wasn't gonna happen." El said flatly, gripping her knees tighter.
"Well, the only person who will be giving me… a ride… now is you…" she said, pausing on the word ride as her lips brushed his ear.
He took a deep breath in and turned his head to hers, meeting her forehead with his, his eyes closed.
He opened his eyes and pulled back to look at her. Her eyes were shining, her face bright with love and lust, and desire just for him. Her smile widened.
"I love you…" he said, a smile moving across his lips as he moved in to capture hers.
He kissed her, slowly moving his lips over hers, pulling her bottom lip in his mouth. When she pulled back, she looked at him as her left hand moved across his exposed forearm.
"I love you too…" she said, her voice soft and breathless. "Always…" she added.
His heart jumped in his chest. "I'll drink to that…" Elliot said clearing his throat. He moved his arm from around her neck and grabbed the plate of limes and the saltshaker. Olivia took the shaker from him, licked her hand, poured the salt on it, then took his hand and slid her tongue over his, taking a second to pull his skin with her lips, and then poured salt on it.
Elliot swallowed hard watching her, his heart beating hard in his chest. He handed her one of the shots and took the other with his free hand. A sexy smile came across her face, and she licked the salt off his hand, and offered hers to him. He did the same pulling at her skin a little with his teeth before he looked back at her, her cheeks already flushed.
They both took their shot, placing the glasses back down on the table. Olivia grabbed a lime wedge, put it in her mouth, biting the tangy fruit, removed it, and then pulled Elliot's lips to hers.
This was now the only way he was ever going to do a shot of tequila again.
The only way.
Ever.

Olivia and Elliot stayed at the bar for a few hours. They were both pleasantly buzzed, but not overly drunk. They exited laughing, holding hands, and just… enjoying themselves.
Elliot took their intertwined hands and pulled the back of her hand up to his lips and kissed it.
Olivia felt heat creep into her cheeks, and she wasn't sure if it was the love she had for this man, or the tequila, or the sheer desire she had for this man holding her hand, but it didn't matter. She was happy. This night was everything she had hoped it would be and more. It was amazing how all it took to make any night the best night was being with the one true love of your life. Being with your soulmate. Being with Elliot.
Elliot made everything better.
Olivia stopped them turning to face him, and pulled him into her, kissing him as she wrapped her arms around his neck. His hands slid instinctively to her waist, and then down cupping her ass. Her breasts were pushed up against the hard planes of his chest, and she could feel every sinful edge of his amazing body.
She hummed her pleasure in kissing him, and he slid his tongue in her mouth, giving her a tease before he broke their kiss. She tasted like tequila and citrus.
He looked down at her, her lips swollen, her cheeks flushed. She smiled at him as he brought his hand to her face to brush her cheek. He loved her so much…
Olivia's eyes moved from his to something that caught her eye behind him. He watched her eyes widen, and then they moved back to him, this time with the same mischief he saw in them earlier.
"Come on El…" she said, taking his hand and pulling him behind her. "There's something I've always wanted to do…"
He turned with her, looking at the direction they were going. He felt his blood start to rush in his veins.
A big smile crossed his face as she opened the door to the tattoo parlor and pulled him in.
