One day there was a terrible accident. Maka had a twin sister - Jenny Albarn. Jenny lived with Spirit while Maka left with her mother. Jenny was training to become a Death Scythe Meister - after her mother. Her partner, was Soul Eater Evans and the two were an unstoppable team. The looks between the two sisters were anything but identical. Jenny had dyed her hair to have more of a red tint to her hair while Maka had the blonde hair. Both girls were short and had the green eyes. The accident had changed everything. It was no ones fault as Jenny was out on her own. She was shopping at Death City Mall, and there was an active shooter - and it was too late. She was one of the ten people who died that day.

Maka had gotten a call from her father - who explained that she needed to come home, he needed her. Maka held a grudge against her father for cheating on her mother, but when she heard that Jenny was dead, she had to go home and she left a note for her mother explaining that she was going home for a while to visit her father. Little did Maka know that she would end up taking Jenny's spot as a Death Scythe Meister.

The story beings...

"No way! I'm not doing it!" Maka growled at her father.

"You have to try! No one else can wield him but a Scythe Meister, you have that ability." Spirit looked at his daughter. His last daughter. He didn't want to give up on Soul and making him go home because there was no other Scythe Meisters around.

"I don't want to become a Scythe Meister!"

"Maka...Just...meet with him!"

"Why? He was...was Jenny's partner!"

"You two need each other! Without a Meister he won't be able to turn into his weapon form because no one can wield him. You and Jenny, both have the same soul. Twins happened to have the same soul, your soul will search for him one way or another."

"Whatever dad! I'm not like Jenny! There are other things I want to do...You can't just ask me a week after we just BURIED HER TO TAKE HER SPOT!"

"Maka..."

"NO! I'm going for a walk!"

With that being said, Maka grabbed her phone and her earbuds and walked out of the house. She started to have tears as she plugged in her earbuds and started to play her music randomly.

"Fucking dad. How could he fucking ask me to give up my life because Jenny decided to do a dangerous job to handle a scythe. Like mom...she wanted to be like mom. I wanted that too, but...I let Jenny have it. She was the older twin. I was proud of her. I never got a chance to meet her weapon though. She told me how she was happy to have someone like him though - I'm pretty sure she tried to hook me up with him, if i ever came out to Death City to see her." Maka thought as she walked towards the grave. She knew that there were going to be more people there. She missed the funeral due to the plane schedule.

As she walked, she spotted three boys and three girls hanging around Jenny's grave. She stopped and just watched them. Jenny once sent pictures of her friends, but never said who they were - or if any were weapons and if any where meisters. Maka took a deep breath and just found a bench to sit at. She looked at the sky. She wondered if Jenny was around now. She closed her eyes as she felt the music.

Soul looked up and spotted someone sitting at the bench, they all knew Jenny was a natural Blonde. "Jenny..." He spoke as he looked at the girl.

"Soul what are you talking about Jenny is dead." Tsubaki placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Who is that then?!" Soul growled pointing to the girl - who was not Jenny.

Everyone looked at the girl sitting on the bench, her looks were just like Jenny, but the hair was different. Jenny had more of a red tint added to her hair. She once told them that she rather be reminded of the parent she had in her life, then the one that left her. Death the Kid looked at the girl and frowned. The same type of soul - which was impossible no one had the same soul unless -

"Her twin..." Kid said shocked.

"What?" Liz asked.

"It can't be though. Jenny never said that she had a sister to us..." Patty added.

"She said she had a sibling, but they never really were together because one with her mom and Jenny stayed here." Soul muttered.

"Black Star, look." Kid urged him.

Black Star looked at the girl, and didn't quite grasp the whole soul thing really, but instead he walked over to the girl and looked at her, waiting for her too look at his god-ness. Black Star tapped her shoulder. "YO!"

"What?" She asked as she pulled out an earbud to look at him.

"Who are you?" Black Star stared at her, his eyes took her in - eyes were the same as Jenny's.

"Maka...Maka Albarn and who are you?" Maka responded looking at the weird kid.

"Albarn...YOU ARE JENNY'S SISTER?!" Black Star shouted.

The rest of the group made their way over as Maka stood up.

"Geeze! You don't have to fucking yell." Maka growled.

"Wait, Jenny never mentioned she had a sister to us, and we're her best friends." Tsubaki said calmly as she looked at Maka. "What's your name?"

Maka looked at them - realizing that they were in the group photo Jenny sent her three weeks ago. "My name is Maka, I'm Jenny's twin sister. Who are you guys?"

Everyone introduced each other - and there was one person who was left. Soul.

"Soul, Jenny's weapon." Soul looked at Maka

"You...turn into a Scythe, right?" Maka asked Soul as she looked at him.

"Yeah..." Soul muttered looking at her and then looking at the ground.

"Can...Can I try...and wield you? My dad said I might be able to because of the same soul as Jenny." Maka bit her lip.

"W-what?" Soul snapped up looking at her. This was something new - no one else but Jenny was able to wield him. Everyone else was just as shocked, here stood her twin sister - wanting to try and wield him.

"I-I want to see if I can't wield you. If I can, I'll join your school, and if not, we can all part ways." Maka crossed her arms over her chest.

"Soul, you should let her." Kid said as he looked at Soul and then looked at Maka. "If you can - wield him, we'll go to my dad, the headmaster, Lord Death, and get you signed up at the school."

"We should go somewhere else though to test it out." Black Star noted. "I don't think it would be appropriate to be here to do that."

The group left the cemetery and headed out towards one of the training grounds the group uses when they are training. Maka took a deep breathe and she was bit nervous. She never thought about what was going to be happening - trying to wield a weapon. This was not who Maka wanted to be - this was Jenny's dream. Jenny - she wouldn't want her friends to be disappointed in her, Jenny was the popular girl, Jenny was the one who was loved. Jenny...

Maka looked at Soul and nodded as he turned into his weapon form and she grabbed onto the staff. Their souls - they were in sync. They were matching each other. Maka closed her eyes as she could feel her soul being transported somewhere.

When she opened her eyes she was standing in a room, and this room was weird, there was a piano and Soul.

"Where am I?" Maka asked.

"My SoulSpace. This is where I go." Soul responded. "Jenny hasn't been able to achieve that yet and we've been together for three years." Soul frowned on wondering how she ended up here.

"A Piano?" Maka walked towards the Piano and ran her hand over the side of it. "It's so real..."

"It is, in this space, everything is real. How did you manage to get here?"

"Does it look like I know?"

"Well, no."

"So will you play me something on the piano?"

"Uh, sure."

Soul took a seat on the bench and flipped the cover up as he looked at her, and closed her eyes as he started to play a song. The song was one that she heard before - it was one she was listening to before she was interrupted by Black Star and everyone. The music was nice, and it was relaxing. It was one of her favorite songs.

"How do you know this song?"

"You were listening to it earlier, and your soul was mimicking the song. I was just listening to your soul."

"You listen to souls?"

"Just my meisters soul because you and I are connected, I can hear yours."

Maka watched Soul carefully as he was still playing the piano. She looked around his SoulSpace, there was door - and it was a bit weird. Where did the door go? Where would it lead?

"Soul, where does that door go to?" Maka asked pointing to the door.

"Hm. Not going to tell you that, I hardly know you..." Soul growled as he was still playing the piano.

Outside, Black Star and Kid were watching them carefully.

"Hey, what's going on?" Patty asked.

"Soul and Maka are bonding within his SoulSpace." Tsubaki noted.

"How can you tell?" Black Star asked. "I don't think Jenny has ever been in his soulspace before."

"The way they aren't moving. It has to be SoulSpace." Kid noted.

"I suppose, do you think they are going to be okay?" Patty asked looking at the Weapon and his new meister.

"They should snap out of soon." Kid answered Patty.

"So what? Now I'm your meister?" Maka growled at him. "I don't even know what I'm supposed to do! I never wielded anything before!"

"Maka, chill, cool guys like me don't let down their meisters. I'm sure your dad will help us out. He is a scythe himself - we do have someone else who can wield him - Stein, so the two of them will help you." Soul sighed looking at Maka.

She was freaking out - and big time - this was something that had to be dealt to with outside of the SoulSpace. She started to pace around the room. This was too much for her and she needed to leave.

"How the hell do I get out of here!" Maka started to panic.

Soul got up and grabbed her shoulders. "Relax! I'll help you! But you can't try and leave all panic-like that - you need to be calm." Soul looked at her.

Right now - they were face to face. Maka got to look at him carefully, pinpointing the difference between him and one of the others out there. Soul was different. She noted that his teeth were strikingly different. More - pointy than her own. Soul was different - was it because he was adopting into the weapon aspect - but her father's teeth weren't sharp like that. She frowned on wondering that was different. Soon enough, she felt her calm down a bit more as she looked at him.

The next thing Maka knows is when she opens her eyes she is looking at Kid and the group. She raised her eye brow as she looked and saw that she was still holding the scythe.

"Yo! You should try and swing him!" Black Star stated as he smiled brightly. "That way we know for sure you can become is new meister."

Maka took a deep breath and there was a tree nearby - well a tree that was dying. She might as well practice on that. She had a tight grip on the staff of the scythe and swung her one foot back as she raised the scythe and sliced at the tree.

"Damn, nice hit." Liz smiled.

"HEY NEXT TIME COULD YOU WARN A GUY BEFORE YOU SWING AT SOMETHING THAT ISN'T A KISHIN!" Soul shouted.

"Sorry!" Maka set the scythe down so that Soul could turn back into his human self. "You know, as a Scythe, you don't weigh as much."

"You kidding? I tried to lift him and I couldn't lift him off the ground!" Black Star shouted.

Maka laughed, this was something was that she would have to get use to it. She looked at the time, and bit her lip. "Hey, sorry to bail on you guys, but I told my dad I would be back home before dinner." Maka pointed out as she looked at Jenny's friends.

"Oh, I'll walk you home." Soul said. "Cause we should tell your dad, about you joining the school and becoming my new meistser."

"Alright, we'll see you two around." Kid nodded.

The walk to the home was...eventful and quite. Maka would take a peak out of the corner of her eye to glance at Soul. He was a bit taller than her so she would have to look up at him. Soul was definitely different from other guys that she knew. Why was she so interested in this person who just suddenly became her weapon. The two of them arrived at Spirit Albarn's house. She turned to Soul and smiled.

"Thanks."

"It's what Cool Guys do." Soul shrugged.

The front door opened and looked at Soul. "Hands off my daughter!" Spirit growled at the Scythe.

"Dad!" Maka hissed. "Soul was nice enough to walk me home after meeting him and his friends at the cemetery."

"She can wield me." Soul stated.

"W-What?!" Spirit shouted looking between Soul and Maka. "You...You can wield him in his Scythe form?"

"Yeah..." Maka muttered.

"Maka, do you want to take Jenny's place as his meister and join the school?" Spirit looked at her. Watching her emotions carefully.

"I...I want to try." Maka nodded her head.
