Here is the next chapter.
Lexi just left Stephanie McMahon's office feeling sad and depressed.
She finds John chatting with Colby Daniel Lopez, aka Seth Rollins.
He notices Lexi coming, looking sad.
"Hey I need to go. I'll talk to you later" he said. "Okay. You and Lexi take care."
"So what did Stephanie say?" John asked her as he saw tears streaming down her face. "I had to relinquish my Raw Women's title belt since I have to take time off to recover from my injury." she struggled not to cry.
He pull her close and she cried in his chest. "This guy is ruining my life. Why is he doing this to me?" she sobbed.
"I don't know. But I promise you this. I will stop at nothing to find this Son of a Bitch." John declared. Lexi couldn't help but smile a little.
"How about we take the private plane back home?" "Sure. I'd like that."
Later
John and Lexi sat near the front of the plane, where it was a bit quieter than from the back. John had his laptop out as they watch a movie.
She snuggled close to him as they share a blanket.
She always feels safe in his arms when they cuddle. Even on a plane.
She realized she needed to pee. "I need to use the bathroom." she whispered. "Okay. But hurry. The movie is getting good." John said with a grin.
She giggled at him and playfully blows a kiss towards him before walking up the plane.
She locks the bathroom and sat down on the toilet.
She kept thinking about the kiss she gave to John.
John hasn't brought it up. Either he feels embarrassed, or he's just trying to forget about it.
She left the bathroom and started to walk back towards the front. But stopped a couple of seats behind. "Listen babe. It's not what you think."
Lexi seemed confused. 'Is he talking to Nicole?' she wondered to herself.
"If you'd just let me explain-" he stopped at mid sentence. After a few more seconds of silence. "Babe. Please don't do this." he pleaded.
Then he put his phone away and put his face in his hands.
He looked up to see Lexi standing next to him. "Oh hey Lexi. Sorry. I didn't realize you were there." he said, struggling not to sound sad.
"What happened?" She asked, looking worried. "Nicole broke up with me." he said softly.
Lexi's eyes went wide. She was beyond shocked. "What? Why?" she wondered.
"She said she saw an article stating that I was cheating on her with you."
She looks at his phone. The article reads Is John Cena cheating on Nikki Bella?
She lets out a soft gasp as her jaw dropped.
She continued reading:
An unknown source sent information to TMZ. It shows a picture of John making out with Lexi Kaufman, or Alexa Bliss as she's known as in the WWE, in front of a hospital. Which begs the question: Is he over the Total Bellas star?
"It says it came from an unknown source." Lexi pointed out.
"You think it could've come from the guy that's been after you?" he asked. "It has to be." Lexi replied.
She started to feel sad.
"Lexi? What's wrong? he asked.
"This is all my fault. I shouldn't have dragged you into this. This guy will do anything to get to me. And now it looks like your relationship with Nicole is over because of me."
He hugged her until she calmed down. He even rubbed her back in circles, which she secretly enjoyed.
"None of this was your fault. You didn't know any of this was going to happen." He tried to convince her.
She lets out a sigh. "I know. But still. I can't help but feel guilty." she replied.
"Don't let it eat you up. We'll figure all of this out together."
She started to feel a little better, and also realized he was right. She needs to stay strong not only for him, but for herself as well.
And she wasn't going to let some creepy stalker stop her.
"Thanks John. I needed that." she replied with a confident smile.
"Hey no problem kiddo. I always know what to say in these types of things." He replied.
She smirked at him. He then put up his hands. "Okay. Maybe not always."
"So what are you going to do about her?" she asked. He lets out a deep sigh. "I don't know. I don't think she's going to want to talk to me anytime soon. So I think it's best to give her some time to calm down."
"I hope things work out for you two." Lexi said.
They went back to watching the movie. Soon they started feeling sleepy and they eventually fall asleep.
She woke up sometime later to the feel of strong arms wrapped around her.
She smiled to herself. She just wishes they could stay like this forever. Being safe in his arms.
She then picked up her phone. And saw a couple of missed text messages from an unknown number.
She tapped to view the message.
Unknown: You really think your little boyfriend can protect you?
Her eyes went wide and her mouth hung open.
Unknown: Once I'm done with him, I'll be coming for you.
She started to shake a little. She then heard John groaning. She put her phone away and pretended to still be asleep.
"Hey." he whispered. Pretending to wake up she said "Yes?" "You okay?" he asked. "Yeah. Sorry. It was just a bad dream." she replied.
He held her close. "It's okay. You're always safe with me."
Despite his heartwarming comment she's still a little afraid for him.
Could the person that texted her really get to John?
She didn't want to think about it and soon she went back to sleep.
