"You Lexi?" She looked up to see who was talking to her.

"Are you Lexi?" the nurse repeated. "Yes ma'am. Lexi Kaufman." she answered.

"How is he?" she replied, trying to keep calm.

"He's suffered a severe concussion. He has a broken neck and broken ribs. And he's lost a lot of blood."

Lexi gasped, covering her mouth with her right hand.

"But, thankfully we got him here just in time. Otherwise, he wouldn't have survive."

She sat back down on her seat, feeling the weight lifting off her shoulders. "Thank you." she whispered.

"However..." She looked back up.

"He also suffered a severe spine injury." "He's going to be paralyzed from waist down. We're have not yet determined if it's permanent." Lexi's world just came crashing back down.

"One more thing you should know."

"What is it?"

"It doesn't look like he'll be waking up anytime soon."

"What do you mean?"

"He's in a coma. We don't know how long. It might be a few days. Maybe a week."

The sadness came back.

"You're welcome to visit him anytime."

"Thank you nurse." Lexi commented. "Can I see him now?"

"Yes you can."

Lexi was lead to John's room, and her stomach turned when he saw his face. His head was bandaged up.

Her lips were quivering, she started gasping for air.

She took a deep breaths to calm herself down before stepping into the hospital room.

She stood next to him lying on the bed.

She took a chair and sat down.

She placed a hand on his arm, and gave it some soft strokes.

She gave him a small smile.

But then she noticed his phone.

She then opened the camera app. She hit the video icon.

And she hit record.

She waved at the camera with a sad smile. "Hi John."

"I know you'll probably be mad at me for using your phone to make a video. But there's some things I need to get off my chest." "And I want you to be able to see and hear this video once you wake up from your coma. Which could be a few days or a week."

She took a couple of deep breaths.

"Remember when we first met. We bumped into each other at a local coffee shop. It was just as I started wrestling in NXT. You know, when I was dressed up in a Tinker Bell like outfit. I would wear a tutu, blow glitter out of my hand and wave a magic wand." she smiled.

"I didn't have a whole lot of friends. And my parents were always too busy. You were the first one who really made me feel welcomed."

"You taught me everything there was in wrestling. And you've helped me become the woman I am today. Not just in the WWE, but outside of it. And I'll always be grateful for that."

Suddenly sadness crept inside of her.

"John. You have no idea how much you've meant to me the past several years."

"Whenever I'm around you, I feel like I'm in heaven."

"You always make me the happiest I can be. No matter what."

"Whenever I have a bad day, you always comfort me."

"But... Gradually over time, something in me changed."

"I don't know when exactly, but somewhere along the line, I started seeing you more than just a close friend."

"I think..." she paused, trying to keep herself from crying.

"I might be in love with you." she sobbed.

"Not just because you're really attractive. You're so sweet, kind, and generous."

"I don't know if you've ever noticed how sometimes I would act all cute and flirty towards you."

"I always love it when you would hold me, and give me kisses on top of my little head. I always feel protected around you. You were kind of like the boyfriend I never had."

"You have no idea how many times I've wanted to kiss you real bad. That one kiss didn't count."

"But you and Nicole were already dating. And it really hurt me."

She could feel the tears starting to form.

"I knew I could never tell you how I really feel for you, because I didn't want to lose you as a friend."

"I wanted you to be happy. You being happy makes me happy. Even if it meant keeping my feelings hidden from you."

"And now you're life is ruined. I ruined your career, I might've ruined your relationship with Nicole. And now you're going to be in a wheelchair, probably for the rest of your life."

Tears started rolling down her cheeks.

"I don't know if you ever want to talk to me again, I just wanted to let you know..." she paused. "I love you John." she sobbed. "I love you with all my heart."

She then hit the record button again, and put his phone back where it was.

She sat there for a half hour before she decided to leave.

Before she left she took his hand and kissed me. "I'll be back tomorrow. And I'll be sure to come over every single day till you wake up."

She then left a note on the table beside his bed.

But as she walked out of his room, she saw it was Nicole. But she wasn't alone. She had her sister Briana, aka Brie Bella.

Well great! she thought to herself as she walked up to them.

"What do you two want?" she asked, trying her best to remain calm.

"Well we came to see how John is doing." Brianna replied.

All three took a seat.

Lexi lets out a sigh. She explained everything that happened as well as John's current condition.

"So you were the one that was supposed to get hit?" Nicole asked.

"Yes." Lexi said.

"But John pushed you out of the way." asked Briana.

"Yes."

"Is that all you want from me?" Lexi asked.

Briana shook her head. "Since you're here, I believe my sister has something she wants to say to you."

Nicole nodded.

"Okay Nicole. I'm listening."

Nicole took a deep breath. "I want to apologize for attacking you the other day."

Lexi was surprised. She's apologizing?

"I shouldn't have blamed you for what happened to John."

Nicole then gestures for a handshake.

Lexi was a bit hesitant, but did shake her hand.

"Thank you. I appreciate it."

Lexi went to pull her hand back, but Nicole kept a firm grip, and gave her a bit of a glare.

"I just have one question?"

Lexi had a concerned look on her face.

"What is it?"

"Why were you trying to steal John away from me?" she asked him with a hint of anger.

"Nikki!" Briana hissed.

Lexi felt a bit scared, but did her best not to show it.

"I didn't try to steal John away from you. I would NEVER steal someone else's boyfriend from anyone." Lexi says.

"Then why did you kiss him?"

Lexi knew she had to be honest with her.

"He told the doctor he was my boyfriend just so he could be allowed to see me. And that kiss..."

She stopped and took a deep breath. "A nurse told me I was lucky to be dating him. And, I don't know. I decided to take the charade a bit further by kissing him. I really don't know why I thought it was a good idea to do that. I shouldn't have done it."

"The article you read, it said it was from an unknown source."

"You're suggesting the person that's been stalking you."

"So the kiss was just an act?" Nicole asked.

"That's what I was trying to tell you, but you were too busy trying to murder me."

Nicole got up and stood over Lexi, who was still sitting.

"You really want me to kick your ass again, pipsqueak?"

Lexi got extremely offended. She was using every ounce of her body to not lash out at.

"Nicole. Stop it. Calm down. This is not the time and place." Brianna hissed at her sister.

"Is there a problem here?" a security guard asked.

Lexi suddenly stood up. "No. It's okay. I was just leaving." she said before she quickly left the hospital.

She then went back to the motel.

She took a long shower, crying a little more.

After drying off and getting dressed, she stepped out of the bathroom, and sat down on the bed.

She started sobbing again. "I'm so sorry John." She sat there for awhile.

She glanced at the door. It took her a few seconds to realize the it was open slightly.

She got up and closed it.

She felt confused. She swore she shut it.

She started breathing heavily, her heart pounding, feeling afraid.

And before she could react, a cloth was pressed against her face. She screamed and struggled to break free. She then started to feel weak.

It wasn't long before she lost consciousness.
