Jasmine was currently texting the Winx Club, she was older than all of them, but she found those girls quite charming, it was the beginning of the year, so she had only a few hours to go before the feast, she was going to be introduced as the new Professor of Universal Magic, she now had copies of the History of Magix, but most of her lessons were going to be based on her own experience at Alfea, she had decorated her classroom to include paintings of Magix, which included Alfea College for Fairies, Cloud Tower for Witches, and Red Fountain for Specialists, and paintings from her own Realm; The Isle of Magic.
"How is that device able to work here?" Pomona asks as the other teachers were arriving at the Great Hall for dinner and the Sorting.
"It compatible with magic, the Magix Dimension is able to use technology and have no problems, I should see if I can't get a Fairy, I know to test other devices to see how it works with terrestrial magic" Jasmine answers as she finished sending the group text to the girls. "I met these girls while I had to inform the High Queen of my leadership take over, but we ended up battling the Wizards of the Black Circle and a group of rogue warrior Fairies. The Winx are the guardians of the whole Magic universe. I asked them if they could make some guest appearances later on."
Jasmine looked down as she remembered the sacrifice of Nabu the magician and the fiance of Aisha, the Princess of Andros and Fairy of Waves.
"You alright dear?" Pomona questions
"I was just remembering something that happened" Jasmine answers "A friend of mine, which is to say they are a bunch of teens and I'm in my late 20s, but they are my friends since the other two are Sirius and Remus. But one of the Honorary Specialists sacrificed himself to save us Earth Fairies."
Every Professor at the table listened, as they were unsure what happened during the battle that stopped Voldemort.
Jasmine began retelling everything that happened that night and leading up to Nabu's sacrifice. "If I gotten to the cottage sooner, I could have tried to save both of my sister and brother-in-law, I see myself as a failure as a guardian." Jasmine states as tears started to trickle down her cheeks.
Poppy stood up and went to Jasmine and lead her away to clean herself up before the feast, also to allow the Fairy of Magic to cry herself out. because the medi-witch just knew no one had even let the poor woman grieve.
After a few minutes, Jasmine and Poppy returned just as the students started filling the Great Hall. Jasmine was in awe at so many students.
The Sorting began, Jasmine smiled encouragingly at Harry as he came up to be sorted. Jasmine breathed a sigh of relief as Harry was sorted into Gryffindor.
Harry looked at the Professors' table once he sat down at the Gryffindor table. he reached for his scar as he noticed a black-clad professor glaring at him.
"Say Percy, who is that person?" Harry questions
Percy looked over where Harry was looking. "That's Professor Snape, he teaches Potions, everyone knows it is the Dark Arts he fancies."
Albus stood up and the Hall grew silent, he gave the rules that no one was allowed on the third-floor corridor, which grabbed Jasmine's attention, and the Forbidden Forest was well forbidden. he also looked toward Jasmine. "We also have a new Professor, Ms. Jasmine Evans has kindly agreed to teach about different magics throughout the universe."
Jasmine stood up "I look forward to getting to know you all on a Professor to student level." she sat back down and the Feast began.
The professors waited until the students left after the Prefects lead the first years to their respective Houses. the Professors left out their private door.
Jasmine was strolling along back to her chambers, as hers was one of the all in one type, her classroom, office and private chambers in the same area.
"Jasmine?" a questioning voice called out
Jasmine stopped in the corridor that lead to the classrooms. Severus was standing there looking at her.
"What do you want, Professor Snape?" Jasmine questions as she rose one eyebrow in curiosity.
"I...I..just..." Snape began
"Little to late for apologizing for my sister's demise or insulting her memory, don't you think?" Jasmine asks "I know we grew up together, you chose your way, and I chose mine. I am not the same little girl toddling after big sister's coattails wanting her and her friend's attention, I won't reveal your and Lily's past friendship, if that is what you wanted me to do. don't worry about it." as they were walking, she realized that they were at her classroom door. she opened the door as the magical lights turned on as soon as she walked into the room, she headed for her office and the second door to her chambers.
Snape watched the second woman he ever loved walked away from him. He wanted to redeem himself in Jasmine's eyes. He wanted a chance to be happy even if he had to put up with James' spawn under Jasmine's care.
