"We are chunnins now" Kurenai said happily while eating her ramen.
"I cannot believe it." Sayuri added.
"We should celebrate more" Asuma joined in.
Shikaku smiled while looking at them proudly. He remembered them as genins and now they are chunins at age 11.
"Your missions will get tougher now, you will have to fight much stronger enemies."
"I cannot wait." Asuma said.
Asuma, Sayuri and Kurenai finished their lunch and the 3 of them decided to train more and become stronger.
Sayuri activated her 2 tomoe sharingan.
"You got your second one?" Kurenei asked.
"Yeah, during the exams."
"Opps, I missed it, but congratulations." Kurenai added.
"Alright, I think we should go on a three-way duel, maybe?" Asuma asked.
"How does that work?" Kurenai asked.
"We fight, one another." Asuma replied.
"You guys go ahead; I will train later." Sayuri said and began to run away from the group. She went ahead, turned back, and shouted, "Make sure not to kiss yet." And left.
Both Kurenai and Asuma blushed at the statement.
"I.. umm" Asuma fumbled.
"Ignore her" Kurenai said with a blush on her face.
'I will train with grandpa and dad later, let me buy some new clothes now.' Sayuri thought and walked around the village, looking for her favourite clothes store.
On the way she saw, an elderly woman struggling to lift her bags. She looked to the left and saw Obito running towards the woman, stopped near her and helped her with her bag full of items.
'That's nice' Sayuri thought and out of instinct she followed them from a distance.
Once she saw Obito helped the woman reach her home, he made his way towards to the Uchiha compound, only to stop halfway and help another elderly man.
'He is helping them, but he doesn't need to do it. Why is he helping them?' Sayuri thought. She followed Obito again and saw him help multiple people, be it an elderly person or a young person.
She saw Obito, helped carrying groceries for a pregnant lady and later helped a small kid retrieve a ball that got stuck inside the tree while he was playing.
'He is helping everyone. But why?'
She saw every time, Obito helped someone, the said person would give a bow and say, "thank you" and Obito would blush in return.
'Why is he doing it? Is he genuinely a nice person or is he craving for validation that very few people give it to him.' Sayuri thought.
Sayuri shook her head and softly told herself "Let me go home, he is living rent free in my head now."
She started walking towards her house when she heard "Hime-chan wait!"
Sayuri froze on her tracks and slowly turned to see Obito walking towards her with a goofy smile.
'Why does he look cute with that smile?' Sayuri thought and immediately began to blush.
Obito reached up to her and said, "What are you doing here?"
"Just walking. I am going back home now." Sayuri lied.
"Same. Let's walk together" Obito said and Sayuri nodded and looked at her feet.
"So, did you get your results?" Obito asked.
"Yes, my entire team is chunin now."
"That's nice. Rin-chan and I are chunin too but that bakashi is a jonin now."
Sayuri's eyes widened hearing Obito call Rin, "Rin-chan" with endearment. Something about that made her heartbeat faster and she felt bad.
"That's nice, everyone got promoted." Sayuri said softly.
"Yes, I am one step closer to being a hokage."
"You want to be a hokage?"
"Yes, just you see, I will be a hokage." Obito said with a passionate voice.
"I actually want to be a very strong kunoichi."
"That's great, I am sure you will be one, Hime-chan." Obito said.
The two of them continued talking while making their way towards the Uchiha compound.
Upon reaching there, the two of them went separate ways to their own homes.
'Why do I suddenly feel like this?' Sayuri thought.
She went to her home and saw her mother reading a book.
"Mom?" Sayuri asked.
"Yes sweety?"
"I got promoted to chunin."
"We all know and are very proud of you."
"Wait how did you know?" Sayuri asked.
"Nara-san informed your father. He came by few minutes back. Did you have lunch?" Shika asked.
"Yes mom. Shikaku-sensei bought us ramen."
Shika smiled and said, "Well then have your rest."
"I wanted to train with dad and grandfather?"
Shika just smiled.
Sayuri went to her grandfather's room and saw him holding a sword and looking at it fondly.
"Granddad?" Sayuri asked.
Akihiko looked towards Sayuri and smiled, "Yes?"
"Who does this sword belong to?"
Akihiko began laughing, "My father."
"Ehhh" Sayuri said and took the sword from Akihiko.
Sayuri took the sword and was mesmerised by it.
"I guess it's time then."
"What do you mean?" Sayuri asked.
"Advanced level of sword training." Akihiko replied and Sayuri nodded.
They went to the backyard and began sword training.
Akihiko showed her multiple sword techniques and Sayuri began to follow the same.
Using her sharingan, she could easily copy her grandfather's movement.
Within an hour, she made decent movement and the two began to duel using their swords.
The entire ground was filled with the sound of metals clashing.
"Enough now" Akihiko said and activated his sharingan.
He looked at his granddaughter and said, "Now I want a proper duel. Use ninjutsu, genjutsu, whatever you want."
Sayuri nodded and threw 2 kunais at him.
Akihiko easily shifted his head, only for the kunais to transform into paper bombs. Akihiko quickly jumped before they could blast. He noticed; the bottom of his slippers got damaged a little. He took out his sword and infused chakra in it, thereby creating a sword literally on fire and slashed the air, which in turn made multiple fire balls and go towards Sayuri.
Sayuri was busy avoiding each of the balls and carefully ran around it avoid getting hit by them.
Sayuri smirked and threw a water-style jutsu towards her grandfather and some of the fireballs dissolved.
"Water style, I am impressed." Akihiko said and Sayuri then followed it up with lighting style justu which electrocuted the later.
This Akihiko had to made sure he didn't land of the water particles; else he will get electrocuted.
He smirked and put a genjutsu on her, which she could easily break away from.
'Grandfather is not holding back but holding back at the same time.'
She took the sword and began to infuse chakra in it.
'I can do it.'
Akihiko observed what she was trying to do and charged at her, he immediately went forward with a punch, which Sayuri dodge while still trying to infuse her chakra on the sword.
She kept on dodging Akihiko, tell felt a sudden urge. She went back few steps and felt great power flow through her. She looked at her sword and it was charged with fire.
"Take this" Sayuri said and threw fireballs at her grandfather.
Akihiko smiled and did the same with his sword and fire clashed with fire.
Sayuri by now was exhausted and began to pant.
Akihiko looked at her and said, "Training is over for today. I want you to master this technique."
Sayuri nodded and sat down.
"Get good rest and continue practising."
"Yes, grandfather." Sayuri said.
'I am sure you will sweety.'
Taking an hour break, Sayuri took her sword, "Is it fine, if I train at the Uchiha fields?"
"Anything is fine, sweety" Akihiko said.
Sayuri nodded, took her sword, and went towards the fields.
'Thank God it is empty.' Sayuri thought once she reached the fields. Taking out her sword, she began to concentrate her chakra on it and soon her sword was on fire. She repeated her grandfather's technique, and fire balls surrounded her. She looked at the target practise and the fireball went towards it, each ball hitting the target.
'I need to do it again.'
Sayuri kept on doing it again and again, trying to control her chakra as much as she could.
After trying for the 10th time, she got exhausted and decided to sit down. She looked around and saw Obito practising fire ninjutsu and fire began coming from his mouth in circular pattern.
'That looks so cool. He looks very cool doing it.' Sayuri thought.
She observed Obito practice and began to blush, 'Why am I thinking like this?'
Obito stopped his training for some time and saw Sayuri looking at him.
He smiled and waved at her and Sayuri turned completely red but gave a wave.
He walked upto her and asked, "Want to train with me?"
"Sure" Sayuri said and began to infuse her chakra to the sword.
"That looks cool" Obito said looking at the sword on fire.
"Thanks" Sayuri said and blushed but changed her mood soon.
"We need to start training now."
"Yes, Hime-chan."
Obito and Sayuri was not holding and their ninjutsu battle soon turned into taijutsu.
Sayuri was busy defending herself from Obito's repeated, kicks and punches and focused more on defense than on offence.
Hand to hand combat was never her skill and it didn't take long for Obito to kick her gut and send her flying back.
She flew and landed on her back.
Obito immediately stopped and ran upto her, "Sorry hime-chan" and helped her get up.
"No, I am fine" Sayuri said, "Let's continue" and Obito nodded.
Neither of them noticed Akihiko who are staring at them.
