Here's the next chapter.
Lexi is backstage. She's feeling really nervous. It had been several months since she last appeared on WWE television. And now she was about to head out to the stage to do A Moment of Bliss. She doesn't know what kind of reception she was going to receive from the WWE Universe. She's not sure if they know what really happened to her.
She was starting to think about calling the whole thing off when she felt someone grabbing her hand firmly. She turned to see John, with that dimple smile.
"Hey. You're gonna be okay. I'm here for you no matter what." he replied softly. Lexi couldn't help but smile. She could feel tears in her eyes.
She leaned down and hugged him. Then she kissed him softly.
They were interrupted by a crew member. "You're segment starts in one minute." Lexi nodded her head. She took a couple of deep breaths and wiped the tears from her eyes.
"You go get em. I'll be watching from back here." John said with encouragement.
She smiled at him again, and said "Thank you John. I'll see you soon." She then walked through the curtain.
"And now, ladies and gentlemen. Raw would like to present you... A Moment of Bliss! Starring, Alexa Bliss!" The Alexa Bliss theme started playing, and the crowd erupted.
Lexi had a smile on her face. Not her signature smug, smile she usually displayed to the crowd. It was a different kind of smile.
She took her seat, and took a second to let the moment sink in. The music stopped. Hearing the cheers from the fans. Some Bliss fans. Some who weren't even fans of her.
Hearing heartwarming chants like Welcome Back! and Let's Go Alexa! among others.
The crowd started to quiet down a bit, waiting to hear what The Goddess had to say.
She picked up the microphone. She was about to say something when she paused for a second, and the crowd got loud again.
She was overwhelmed with emotions right now, hearing the ovation from the crowd. This was unlike anything she's ever felt before.
She regained her composer, not wanting to troll the audience any longer.
"Normally I would introduce myself, welcome you all to my show, and say how it's the number one show in WWE and all of that mumbo jumbo."
"But I won't be doing that tonight. Because you all know who I am and what this show is called."
The cheers started again. Lexi took a couple of deep breaths.
"And usually A Moment of Bliss is all about me but tonight. It's not just about me. It's about everyone that has supported me, and stuck by me and helped me get through one of the worst experiences of my life."
She took a couple of more deep breaths before she continued. "I'm sure a lot of you are aware of what had happened to me. But for those who don't know, sorry. I can't say it on live TV." she gave the fans an apologetic smile.
"It was something I thought would never happen again to me." "I'm sure there are thousands of other people that have had the same experience as I did."
"And going through all of that, and the aftermath, was one of the most difficult times of my life."
"I've read a lot of your heartwarming messages on social media, as well as reading some of the fan mail I've received the past few months."
She paused for a bit.
"Tonight is all about sharing a moment with every, single, one of you. Wherever you are tonight."
The crowd erupted again. She could feel more tears forming in her eyes.
"I can't thank everyone enough. The fans, all the other wrestlers in the back, and my family, for giving me the hope, strength, and courage to get me back on my feet, and for me to come back and do what I've doing for years. And that's living my life to the fullest and to entertain the WWE Universe."
More cheers from the crowd.
After a few moments of silence she kept going. "But... There's also one more person I owe my life to. This person have been there for me for the past several years. Through the best and worst times. Including everything that has happened to me recently."
She gave the fans another smile. "And that person happens to be my guest tonight." "So would you please come out here? So I can say thank you. For everything you've done for me."
The crowd quiets down a bit.
Then John Cena's music started playing, and the crowd went nuts.
John then rolled onto the stage, and there were some screams of joy.
After the cheers died down a bit John pick his own mic, and started talking. "First off, thank you Alexa Bliss for having me on Moment of Bliss. Its an amazing honor. I've seen every single one of your shows. You've seen to have outdone yourself every single time. But I truly believe, this, is the best Moment of Bliss of them all."
The crowd started cheering again. Lexi smiled brightly.
"And secondly, you don't have to thank me. If anything, I should be thanking you. You've done a lot for me just as much as I've done for you."
"And thirdly, for those who are wondering why I'm sitting in a wheelchair, well, something happened to me."
Lexi chimed in. "Which was, kind of my fault."
John sighed. "It wasn't. Anyways, some maniac tried to run down Alexa with a car."
Some boos rained down a little.
"But I wasn't going to let him succeed. Before you ask, yes, maybe I could've gotten out of the way too, but it all happened so fast. That brief moment, my only concern was her safety. So I ended up pushing her out of harms way. Had I not done that, then maybe Alexa would probably be in a wheelchair too. Or even worse."
"And if I ever had a do it all over again, I'd do the exact same thing again."
More cheers.
"If that's not the act of a true hero, then I don't know what is." Lexi replied.
"Sadly I'm still not medically clear to compete again, as my body still needs a bit of healing." Lexi then got serious. "But understand this. When I do return, my mission, is to regain my Raw Women's Championship. I don't care who I have to go through. I will stop at nothing until that title belt is back around my waist."
She then says "Now before we end off today's show, I think it's time we should tell the audience. About us."
John thought about it for a moment. "Actually no. We shouldn't." Lexi looked confused. Then John smirked. "Why don't we just show them?"
Lexi then smiled, getting the hint. She then got on his lap. And then they kissed.
And the crowd got the loudest it has gotten for the segment. Yes! chants were heard.
They kissed for what seemed like forever until they both pulled away to catch their breath. They stared at each other, then they looked at the crowd.
After they Yes! chants the crowd started chanting Let's Go Cena! Alexa Bliss!
Lexi then picked up her mic. "And this has been-" she stopped herself, and looked at John. An idea popped into her head. She smiled. "You want to say it with me babe?"
He smiled back. "Okay." They brought there faces right next to each other. And at the same time they said "A Moment of Bliss."
The crowd cheered for the final time.
John's theme played as they wave to the crowd, and he wheeled backstage with Lexi riding with him.
It's currently 3:35 in the morning. Originally wasn't planning on updating this immediately after my John Cena/Nikki Cross story, but as I was going to bed I had all of these thoughts that seemed really good, and I thought I would get it out there before I forget all of it.
I'll probably edit this chapter in the future, but for now it's the best I can do for now.
Anyways, hope you enjoyed it.
