Moments Chapter 43 Toothpick by klcutting

Patchwork Armor by MarvelousDragons21

There were a few more people in Shamto's Hideout when the Batch entered, meaning there was more noise. It was slightly warmer than when they'd gone to sleep, and the area was brighter. Omega could smell and taste the caff that Shamto was serving them and the tea given to her. She could also taste and smell the alcohol, and something she couldn't quite figure out, but assumed it was the Spice she'd heard about. The change was that Shamto had done dusting.

"Drink up. Crosshair wants to start tying up his loose ends soon," Shamto sneered as the Batch started drinking up.

"Where are we going?" Hunter enquired.

Crosshair stated "Halzaro Club. Shahan Alama frequents that place. We're on OK terms. Hopefully, I can incentivise him to give up some of the information,"

"I hope you're not planning to tag Tiny along. That place is seedy and not for under 18's," Cid sneered.

Crosshair retorted, "I think Omega would want to meet her twin first, so I wasn't planning to. I picked this bit specifically so Omega would have time to meet him,"

"Alright then," Cid stated before turning to Shamto, "I like this one already,"

"Why do you think I kept him around? Besides his effectiveness," Shamto sneered quietly back.

"Should any of us stay back to watch things?" Echo wondered.

Hunter replied, "I don't think Boba would like it if we were here. Plus, Fennec's with him, so she'd probably oversee their interactions,"

"And anyway, Shahan would want to know all of you before judging whether I'd be able to enter you all," Crosshair sneered.

"I guess I'll be playing Dejarik until Fennec and Boba show up," Omega sighed.

Hunter stated, "We won't be gone long, ad'ika. Promise," before turning to Crosshair.

"Are there any other places Omega can't go with us?"

"No. If Omega didn't have armour, there'd be a lot. But she should be OK" Crosshair shrugged. After fifteen minutes, everyone was ready, and Crosshair led the crew out, leaving Omega to sit at one of the Dejarik tables.

With Omega

About ten minutes later, Fennec's ship arrives outside Shamto's hideout.

"And we're finally here. Looks like Clone Force 99 is already off on their latest assignment," Fennec observed.

Boba stated, "It's about time. How are we going to tell which one Omega is?"

"She'll probably be playing at one of the Dejarik tables," Fennec replied.

Boba nodded as they exited the ship and entered the hideout.

As Boba entered the hideout, he saw it was cleaner than it had been. It was warmer than outside, which made Boba uncomfortable in his armour and body suit. The place was well-lit, and Boba could smell and taste the alcohol and spice being taken, combined with a slight tea scent. The ground was firm, but thanks to dedusting, not slippery. When they entered, Boba looked around and quickly pointed to one of the tables.

"That her?" Boba enquired.

Fennec looked over and replied, "Yep, that's her. Let's announce our presence to Shamto and Cid first, then you can go over and talk to her,"

"Fine," Boba huffed as they headed for Shamto and Cid.

"About time you showed up, Grumpy," Cid sneered when she spotted Boba.

He stated, "Kindly keep that name out of your mouth,"

"If you weren't in a constant grump, I wouldn't be calling you that, would I?" Cid stated back. Shamto chuckled, "Good to see you, Boba. How's the ship coming along?"

"The hyperdrive is still out of action, but it's OK otherwise. Bossk is currently installing an Ion converter into the weapon system, so I can use Ion weapons if I want," Boba stated. Shamto nodded, then said, "Noted. Hope it goes well for you," before adding, "So, do you want me to introduce you to her? Or are you going to do it yourself?"

"I could do it if you'd prefer, Boba," Fennec suggested.

Boba stated, "If you want,"

"Alright, then it's a plan," Shamto nodded. Cid then stated, "Tiny can get pretty locked in on those Dejarik games, so you'll need to distract her,"

"I've got an idea for that," Boba said as he and Fennec headed for her table.

When they arrived, Omega had just defeated another player in Dejarik.

"Hey, is it OK if I battle you?" Boba asked.

Omega looked up and replied, "Sure", and Boba sat opposite her while Fennec watched nearby.

The game began and didn't last too long before Omega triumphed.

"You're good," Omega admitted as they started another game of Dejarik, "I've been practising".

Omega noticed the familiarity of the voice behind the helmet, with notes of youth there. He was, at most, a couple of years older than her.

"Go ahead," Fennec suggested, and Boba nodded, then removed his helmet with a slight hiss. Omega gasped. Since she'd learned what made her special to the Kaminoans, she wanted to learn as much as possible about the other. The start to her finish. The beginning to her end. The Alpha, to her Omega. Now known as Boba Fett.

"Boba! My twin!" Omega exclaimed in shock as she looked at him. Boba chuckled and said, "Yep. So, you're Omega," Boba looked her over, mainly her face, which looked so much like he would if he was female.

Fennec looked between them and saw the resemblance between the two. They were twins, that same smile, the determined look in Boba's eyes were forming in Omega's. They did look so much alike.

Boba looked around and said, "I saw you defeat that other guy, and you managed to defeat me. You must be good at Dejarik,"

"Tech said that I've got a heightened sense of awareness and a skill for strategy," Omega boasts.

Boba nodded, "That would explain it. Has it come in handy outside of Dejarik?"

"A couple of times, though I lack experience, which means Echo usually covers strategy," Omega replied.

"Wait, what were you doing most of your life?" Boba asked, confused, and as Omega sighed, a haunted look appeared in her eyes.

"A lab assistant to Nala Se. Though that was mostly a cover for her to abuse me," Omega explained, and Boba's nostrils flared as he heard this. No genuine Fett should be mistreated like that. Besides the nostril flare, Boba kept any indications of his surge of anger hidden.

"Sorry you had to endure that vod," Boba said solemnly.

Omega replied, "Thanks,"

"Father would have hit the roof if he found out what the long necks were doing to you," Boba stated.

Omega enquired, "What was he like?"

"He was a brave man, very supportive, also just a simple man making his way through the galaxy," Boba explained. Omega nodded in understanding.

"He sounds like Hunter," Omega said.

Boba replied, "Good to hear,"

They lapsed into a brief silence. Boba broke it by asking, "Where did you get the armour?"

"My brothers and Cid all pooled their credits to get me some after I got hurt on a mission," Omega explained.

"Was there any reason for what Nala Se was doing to you?" Boba asked after a few moments.

Omega sighed, "Yeah. I have the mutations of all my brothers, except Echo, to a much smaller degree, so it was likely to guide the abuse inflicted on them,"

"What the kriff. Man, I hate that neither buir nor I knew about you, or we would have gotten you out of there and gotten you a proper name," Boba stated bitterly. Omega looked puzzled at Boba. She had never thought that Omega wasn't a proper name. Confused, Omega asked, "What name would he have given me?"

Boba could answer immediately, and he replied, "Arla. After our ba'vodu's gai,"

"ba'vodu's gai," Omega tried and found she was close in pronunciation. She then added, "What does ba'vodu's gai mean? It must be family related, as I can sense Vod in there,"

"Very good, this Clone Force 99 must have taught you some Mando'a. It means Aunt, ba'vodu, and gai is the title or name," Boba smiled.

"At least she learned some Mando'a," Boba admitted to himself privately.

"Have you considered getting your name changed?" Boba asked.

Omega replied, "I hadn't considered it until now. I just accepted the name I had"

"Well, I would consider it if I was you," Boba replied.

"Are the mutations of your brothers why everyone seems to be after you?" Boba enquired,

Omega nodded, "According to Tech, I've also got, almost pure, DNA from Jango. Except for no Y-Chromosome," Omega explained.

Boba nodded, then sighed, "Father would have adopted you in a second if he found you. I think he suspected it because twice he was caught prowling around Nala Se's lab. Got reprimanded for it," Boba admitted.

Omega nodded, "Kuan Si believed that even when he was banished,"

"So that's what happened to him. I wondered what had happened. I hadn't seen him around much, but he always said hello to me whenever we saw each other," Boba responded, sighing slightly.

"He's still alive. The Nulls didn't kill him as had been ordered," Omega admitted.

Boba asked, "How do you know this?"

"I was part of the force that got him off the planet and away from the Empire," Omega explained.

"Who are the Nulls? I encountered them once, but that's about it," Boba enquired.

Omega explained, "Null-class Advanced Recon Commandos. They were intelligent, deviant, disturbed and uncommandable. It was thought. But Kal Skirata saved six of them and trained them himself. They're individual armies, like my brothers. I read about them during my time on Kamino,"

"Oh them. Yeah, I annoyed one of them by claiming that my dad could beat up their trainer and got swirled for it," Boba replied. That made Omega flinch.

"That can't have been fun," Omega said.

Boba replied, "It wasn't. But it was over quickly. Jango helped me recover, even if he did reprimand me for it,"

"That's good," Omega replied.

They continued talking for a while, though they also played Dejarik while talking.

With Clone Force 99

It took about fifteen minutes by skycar to traverse the maze-like structure of the underworld Hosnian Prime. The buildings were all similar, long grey structures, with bits hollowed out for walkways or transparisteel to allow people to see outside. The light of the planet's star barely reached down here, so the underworld was lit up by a bunch of orange-and-yellow lights that cast eerie shadows over the place.

"This is creepy," Hunter admitted. Crosshair stated, "It's about typical for this part of the planet. We're not far from the Halzaro Club. One word of advice, keep your drinks covered. The women here, especially the twi'lek women, are as willing to roofie a man to take advantage of them as the other way around," Crosshair warned, which surprised the rest of the Batch.

"Will we need drinks?" Hunter enquired, a look of surprise still on his face.

Crosshair sneered, "Let me do the talking, alright? You shouldn't need to drink up. But at least letting the bartender pour a drink makes for a good impression,"

"Alright," Hunter replied. Tech then stated, "I didn't expect that. Why would they do it?"

"It's probably the most debaucherous bar in this sector of Hosnian Prime, so you probably see why", Crosshair sneered.

Tech stated, "Understood,"

"We're here," Crosshair concluded, and the red-and-yellow vehicle they were riding on landed outside, what could be described as a steel door across a concrete hole in the wall.

"Inviting," Echo stated, looking concerningly at the door. Two large, burly Wookies stood on either side of the door. They were bouncers.

Crosshair flashed a card to them, then said, "The rest are with me". After a couple of moments, the Wookies nodded, and the door opened inward.

The walls looked like they'd been hewed out of the concrete by specialised droids. The entry lobby was moderately lit and housed a few chairs. Two Trandoshans counting their winnings sat at two of the chairs. As they made their way in, it opened into a wild place.

The Amphitheatre was large but cavernous and looked like a mix of a bar, a cantina and a strip club. The Amphitheatre was colder inside than outside, though clouds of Spice hung in the air. Crosshair noticed that the place was dimly lit, lamps not providing much light. Hunter could smell and taste Spice and alcohol being taken in significant quantities. The ground was rough on his boots.

Debauchery was happening everywhere in the main foyer. A thick cloud of Spice hung at one corner of the room. Further along, the rough-hewn wall on the left side held Dejarik tables. In the right-hand corner, the dim lights hid several doors that went into private quarters. The tables and chairs in that corner were positioned very differently, and judging by the noises coming from that corner, some beings didn't mind public displays of intimacy.

Further down was a dance floor leading onto stripper poles where a couple of Twi'leks were dancing, fully exposing themselves to many other beings ogling them and throwing credits their way. Dejarik tables were here and there in the middle and to the left, where considerable sums of credits were being bet.

Finally, at the back was a bar. A rough-looking Togruta seemed to be the barman, and a few were drinking around the area in various stages of drunkenness. Although the room was dimly lit, with the outside being dark, it took a moment for Crosshair's eyes to adjust.

"Very glad we didn't bring Omega here," Hunter admitted as they looked around.

"Follow me and try not to draw attention to yourselves," Crosshair sneered as they carefully made their way towards the bar, led by Crosshair. As they made their way to the bar, Hunter noticed that one of the Twi'lek dancers was eyeing him.

When the Batch reached the counter, the rough Togruta barman waved Crosshair down.

"Ah, Crosshair, good to see you. What will it be this time?" the Togruta asked.

Crosshair sneered, "Malkrox, there you are. I need a Cybernetic Whiskey. My brothers can have a Bounty Light," Immediately, Malkrox knew the code behind the drinks and started making them up for them. Once done, he sent them to the squad before heading out back.

"Was that code for someone?" Hunter whispered to Crosshair, who nodded.

While they were waiting, one of the dancers approached and grabbed one of her drinks. She side-eyed Hunter briefly and flashed a small, pink bottle, but Crosshair stated, "Not on him yet,"

"She seems interested in you," the bartender commented as he returned.

Hunter stated, "Suu looks hotter,"

"Don't let Cut here you say that," Crosshair sneered.

Hunter stated, slightly hurt, "Cut already knows I find Suu attractive. Who wouldn't? But I also know I can't do more than look. Come on, Crosshair, even you agree that Suu looks hot,"

"Touché," Crosshair stated, admitting that it was true, and all five of them saw the attraction for Suu. Not just physically, but in personality and that she'd been a mom to Omega during their time on Dantooine.

Looking at the vial, he stated, "A Strong Aphrodisiac,"

"It's what those dancers tend to use to sway the men to do what they want," Crosshair replied.

Hunter sighed, "At least the vial contained just that and not something more sinister,"

Just as they finished talking, the Weequay, with a cybernetic arm, reached the bar.

"Hey Crosshair, good to see you, man," The Weequay called when he spotted Crosshair, who sneered, "Shahan, good to see you. No Twi'lek dancer hanging off you this time. Run out of credits?"

"Ha! You haven't changed a bit. And not yet. I had a feeling you'd come looking for me," Shahan responded. He then noticed Hunter, Wrecker, Tech and Echo and sneered, "Are these your brothers?"

"Yes. Hunter, Wrecker, Tech and Echo. I need to discuss a few things with you, in private, but with them tagging along," Crosshair explained.

"This must be the Clone group with that kid, Omega. I'll need to warn them that our next meeting will be under hostile conditions," Shahan deduced. He then said, "Sure, I've got a couple of things to tell you and your brothers, so follow me,"

Hunter turned to Crosshair, who stated, "It's OK. At least this time,"

Hunter nodded, and the Barman let them through the bar to the private rooms behind.

His private quarters turned out to consist of a few rooms. The Living Room was in the middle, which had multiple cushy chairs. A table was in the middle, and a Holocomm was on the other side. The doors were open to varying degrees, one door leading to a refresher, a second to a bedroom, and a third to what looked like a filming stage. Shahan turned on the light and instructed the Batch to sit on the chairs opposite to his, which they did.

"So, what information do you need?" Shahan stated.

Crosshair asked, "I need to know if I can use my Bounty Hunter Pass for the Bounty Hunter event I recently heard about for my entire squad,"

"And why would you want to know that?" Shahan sneered.

Crosshair sneered back, "Because I'm planning to return to my former squad. But I may have to hold off on that if I can't have them all involved,"

"You never said you had a squad. I'm guessing these four are your squad?" Shahan enquired, pointing to the others.

"Yes. There's a sixth member, but she's under 18, so she couldn't attend," Hunter explained, and Shahan nodded with a little too much understanding.

"Yep. Crosshair is re-joining the squad that has the target. I fully understand. If I had to guess, the sixth member is meeting her twin," Shahan thought. After a few moments, he stated, "Well, Krayt's Claw is operating just off Bossk's Bounty Hunter Pass, so I don't see why Clone Force 99 couldn't enter on yours,"

"How did you know the name of our group?" Hunter asked suddenly. Turning to face him, Shahan stated, "Your squad is quite famous among Bounty Hunters. I was pretty sure who it was when I saw you guys, but when you mentioned the girl, it confirmed that for me,"

"Alright," Hunter replied, a bit wary. He then remembered Fennec's statement.

"Knowledge is power Hunter,"

"That's good to know. Now. What can you tell me about this Bounty Hunter Battle Royale?" Crosshair enquired.

"It's a festival of combat between Bounty Hunters of the era, with a target to either protect or capture and deliver. The last one was how I lost my arm," Shahan explained.

"Sorry to hear that," Echo said.

Shahan nodded and smiled slightly. Crosshair then enquired, "Where does this happen?"

"It starts in the wider galaxy. Half of the Hunters Protect the target, and the other half must try to capture and deliver the target to a planet in the Unknown Regions. If one of the Hunters captured the target, the Protectors attempt to rescue the target either on the way or on the Unknown Regions planet, Kal Kentus, I believe," Shahan explained.

"Is Omega likely to be the target?" Hunter enquired.

Shahan stated, "I suspect so. Boba has a drone keeping watch over that, and she's on the shortlist". He then turned to Hunter and asked, puzzled, "Why would they select a thirteen-year-old girl as a target? What makes her special?" but Tech explained.

"She's an almost unaltered Clone of Jango Fett. She also has each of our enhancements, to a much lesser degree. My guess is a new generation of Clone Commandos,"

"That'd do it," Shahan stated. He then turned to Crosshair and asked, "Does Boba know he has a twin sister?"

"Yes. The twins may be meeting as we speak," Crosshair stated.

"Well, I recommend you keep her close over the next month, especially if she's selected as the target. And, a warning, our next meeting may be under more hostile circumstances," Shahan suggested.

Hunter stated, "Noted,"

"You want payment for this information disclosure?" Crosshair sneered.

Shahan stated, "Just enough for me to lasso one of the dancers,"

"You're using that studio with her?" Crosshair sneered.

Shahan stated, "It helps make a few extra credits on the side,"

"Right," Crosshair stated. Hunter sighed, then said, "Thanks for the information. Now we're a lot more aware of what's going on now. So we can take steps to help keep Omega safe,"

"You're welcome," Shahan sneered as Crosshair passed some credits to him. The Batch got up and headed back out, with Shahan following behind.

Once they re-enter the Cantina, Shahan heads for the dancers with the credits while the Batch exit to get back into the skycar and heads back to Shamto's parlour.

"What do we tell Omega? She needs to know, but we can't scare her too much," Hunter asked.

Crosshair sneered, "You guys know Omega better than I do. I'm sure you'll figure it out,"

When the squad returned to the parlour, the noise level from patrons was about equal. The smells and tastes of alcohol and Spice had lessened, and the ground was rough. Omega and Boba talk at one of the Dejarik tables while Fennec Shand watches over them. Omega spots Hunter runs up, and hugs him.

"Looks like she trusts them," Boba admitted.

Fennec stated, "They proved to be a challenge for me, even without Crosshair. They're going to be formidable as a united force,"

"If you say so," Boba replied. He had intended to see if he could recruit Omega into Krayt's Claw, as he wasn't entirely sure the squad could protect her if they'd let her get captured and almost die on a mission. However, they did go out of their way to secure armour for her, and she seems to have undergone some training, so they do care about her, and Boba could see that the squad were her aliit and knew that it wasn't his calling to tag along with her team. Especially not if he wasn't the leader.

However, they could potentially team up to keep Omega safe during the Bounty Hunter Battle Royale.

"Thanks for keeping an eye on her where we couldn't," Hunter called to Fennec and Boba. Fennec replied, "No worries. Omega's quite something at strategy games",

"So you got the information you were seeking?" Shamto asked.

Crosshair nodded. Crosshair then turned to his brothers and asked, "If I was to rejoin you guys, would you be OK with working for Shamto and Cid?"

"Is Cid OK with that?" Hunter replied.

Cid sneered, "Good to know you value my opinion, Bandana?" She then looked at Shamto and stated, "I mean, if it'd help us both, sure. That way, we'd both have access to 6 mercenaries,"

"Good. Then that's decided," Cid stated.

"Alright. That's sorted. Now, I've got two more things to do. Two more loose ends to tie up," Crosshair sneered.

Boba asked, "Do you need the Strike Card?"

"If the Determiner gives me mine, I'll have it," Crosshair sneered. He then turned to Omega and stated, "We'll need you for this,"

"Sir, yes, Sir," Omega replied. The rest nodded, and after a couple more moments, the Batch departed with Crosshair in the lead.

"See you around, Boba," Omega said, giving him a hug, which he let happen before he said back, "See you around, Arla,"

"Arla?" Hunter asked as they departed.

Omega replied, "Boba reckons I should change my name and suggested Arla, as that was the name of our ba'vodu's gai,"

"Ah, interesting. So, what did you think of Boba?" Crosshair enquired.

Omega stated, "He's alright. He's a bit rough around the edges, but he was very interested to learn more about me,"

"Where are we headed?" Echo then asked Crosshair.

"The big training quarters around here. I go there to practice my Sniping," Crosshair sneered.

"So what loose end is here?" Hunter enquired.

Crosshair stated, "I'll be seeking some of the targets, as they're sturdy enough to stand up to my Sniper Rifle. I also need the equipment for cleaning my rifle too,"

"Then let's get going," Hunter replied. After a while, the group arrived at the training grounds.

And here, it's similar to the cantina. Crosshair headed for the reception, where a Pau'an male was taking notes from beings of various species trying out sniping.

"Ah, Crosshair, what brings you and your team here?" the Pau'an enquired, looking to Crosshair, who stated, "Pretty simple. Vim Ken. I need to grab all my extra equipment. I'm returning to my team, and it could be a while before I return,"

"And you're going to need the equipment you borrow to continue servicing your sniper rifle?" the Vim stated.

"Two things first, before you do," Vin stated.

Crosshair huffed, "What?"

"How about you give your brothers a tour? And I want to see how much skill your daughter has with the bow," Vim suggested. This immediately raised eyebrows.

"I'd be OK with that," Omega replied. Hunter, after a few moments, responded, "Alright. On one condition,"

"AZ stays with me?" Omega enquired.

Tech stated, "It'd be best that someone stays with you. Again, not a matter of trust, but safety,"

"I know. I can defend myself, though. At least long enough for you guys to come and back me up," Omega groaned, rolling her eyes.

The look Crosshair gave Omega shut her up quick.

"The joys of having a teenage daughter," Vin chuckled. He then signalled to another Pau'an, who came over.

"I'll take the Batch on tour, Zodas. You ensure their daughter's safety and see how good she is with her bow," Vin stated.

Zodas nodded and instructed Omega to follow her to the range.

With Omega

When Omega arrived, she saw that the firing range was massive. There were many targets across more than two dozen professionally done targeting ranges.

"Whoa. This is, I didn't expect this," Omega admitted, a bit overwhelmed by the sheer size of the place.

"Impressed?" Novan asked.

Omega nodded. She then pointed Omega to one of the ranges, and Omega put on her helmet, grabbed her bow, and took aim.

A few beings looked around at Omega, but quick looks from Zodas turned them back to their ranges. Novan started up the targeting range, and Omega started shooting.

And it showed that she had both skill and confidence, even on the last time she used the targets, as she was now nailing most of the targets.

"Wow, now that is awesome," Zodas said as she watched Omega fire. Omega turned to Novan and nodded.

"Thanks. My brothers have all been training me, especially in using my bow. Helps that Wrecker's been helping me with my strength," Omega replied.

Zodas nodded, and Omega then returned to the range.

With Clone Force 99

"We start with the main place we make credits. This is where we sell Sniper Rifles and all the equipment related to them. We're talking Infra-red sights, scopes, tripods, cleaning equipment, things like that," Vim bragged as they entered the shop, which had a ton of different types of Sniper Rifles, ammunition crates, scopes, everything for the buddying sniper.

"Crosshair didn't need the scopes. We know that he can see in the dark as part of his mutations," Hunter stated.

Crosshair sneered, "Makes me wonder if Omega can see in the dark a little,"

"She probably can, considering she has a small amount of all of our mutations," Tech stated.

Echo asked, "So this is where you get some of your equipment?"

"Cleaning equipment mainly after I abandoned the Empire," Crosshair sneered. He then turned to Vim, "That being said, I do need more cleaning equipment. There's a couple of things I'm getting low on,"

"Sure," Vim stated, and he grabbed the top-of-the-line cleaning equipment crate for Crosshair. Once he paid for it, Vim showed the Batch to the calibration room.

"Here's where the rifles are calibrated," Vim stated. Tech stated in response, "You've got quite the setup here. Pretty much everything necessary to help a buddying sniper,"

"That's true, Tech," Vim stated as Tech and Echo examined the calibrators.

"You have any calibration needs?" Vim asked Crosshair, who shook his head.

"And now, for the range," Vim stated, and he headed for the range, with the Batch following behind.

When they arrive, they see Omega firing off bow shots at targets.

"Have you started her training with blasters yet?" Crosshair sneered.

Hunter stated, "We were waiting for you to come back before we started on that,"

"Touching," Crosshair replied coolly. As they headed for Omega. A jealous former Champion spotted Crosshair. Before he attacked Crosshair, Vim stunned him.

"Will you be scrubbing my location from the record? Just in case this guy tries something. Like he did just then?" Crosshair sneered.

Vim stated, "Of course. I can't let a jealous former champ disrupt your time with your family,"

"Hey, guys," Omega called, waving to them. Heading over to her, Crosshair saw her stance and the firing arc and said. "You've done well. We could adjust your stance slightly, though. But we'll do that once we're back on Ord Mantell,'

"Alright", Omega replied, slightly annoyed that her stance wasn't the best. Hunter added, "I think it's about time you learned how to wield a basic blaster. How does that sound?"

"Sounds good," Omega replied. Zodas then turned to the Batch and stated, "You've done a good job training her,"

"Thanks," Hunter replied, smiling. Vim stated, "Well, now that's all taken care of. I'm going to miss your presence Crosshair. I hope that you find fulfilment with your family,"

"Thanks, I guess," Crosshair sneered. He then turned to the others and stated, "Well. This is it. I guess we're a team of six again,"

"Welcome back to the team, vod," Hunter stated.

Crosshair nodded, and Echo suggested, "How about we get back to the parlour before we have the catch-up?"

"Sure," Crosshair stated, and with a wave, the Batch departed.

Back to Shamto and Cid

While the Batch was out, Cid asked Shamto, "Have you ever attended the Halzaro Club?"

"Not since they hired Wookies as bodyguards. Especially those ones, as they don't tear off Trandoshans arms or legs. They tear off our heads," Shamto admitted.

After a few moments, the Batch returned.

"So, how did it go?" Shamto asked.

Crosshair stated, "Things are sorted. No jealous former champions to come after me, and I've got the information I needed from Shahan. Combine that with the regain of trust, and I'm ready to rejoin Clone Force 99,"

"Great to hear. Now. Does that mean you can split time between Cid and me?" Shamto enquired.

Hunter stated, "If Cid's OK with it,"

"Eh, OK, I guess. Just make sure most of your missions are from me. Alright, Bandana?" Cid sneered.

Hunter stated, "Alright,"

"Oh, by the way, you boys gonna transport me back to Ord Mantell?" Cid stated.

Tech stated, "Of course. We wouldn't leave you behind in a situation like this,"

"Good," Cid stated. She then turned to Shamto and sneered, "Keep your place in good order, alright?"

"Don't worry yourself, Cid. I'll take care of it," Shamto replied. Cid nodded, then turned to Tech and stated, "Lead the way, Goggles,"

Tech nodded as they headed out and back for Ord Mantell.
