Optimus, Lancex, and the rest of the Autobots made their way back to the earth base. Lancex was very impressed and said that the base looked cool and every well organized. Optimus blushed a bit, for even now he felt a bit embarrassed when his brother complimented him, just like when he had been young. They all headed to the meeting room.
It was then and there that Optimus introduced Lancex to Override, Scattershot, Red Alert, and, of course, the kids. Lancex greeted the bots, and then sensing that the kids were of no threat, greeted them as well. The kids were surprised that Optimusn had an older brother, as wee many Auotbots, but all welcomed Lancex.
After the introductions, Optimus had Override add the Cyber Planet Key from speed Planet, which Override gladly completed. The information burst drew the attention of Scattershot and Vector Prime. Then, most of the other Autobots, figuring the pair would figure it out, left for elsewhere.
After the addition, Optimus looked to his brother, as Optimus had many questions. "It has been many many years, brother, where did you go?" Optimus asked, having wanted to know for a long time.
"Before I give my answer, I must ask one thing of you… that you keep an open mind about the things I will tell you" Lancex replied, wanting them to know that he was being deadly serious. Optimus and the few remaining Autobots nodded. Lancex swallowed hard before describing that he had been in another dimension for what he thought was seven years and had just returned after that war ended. Optimus wanted to say otherwise, but didn't have to. Lancex acknowledged that he hadn't realized what he felt was only seven years had really been many, many, many years in this current realm.
Wanting to break the awkwardness, one of the other Autobots asked about Lancex's powerful sword. Lancex explained it was a spirit sword that he had picked up and earned in the other realm. "What is a spirit sword?" Asked a bot.
"Well, a spirit sword is one created by the hard work and spark of a bot, in a sense the essence of a bot. Each sword is powerful and unique, based on its creator and owner. It is even more powerful if one names it" Lancex explained. Optimus nodded and then offered to take his brother to the med bay. Lancex agreed.
As Lancex left, Jetfire wondered if Lancex really was a strong as he appeared, as while the bot was good looking, Jetfire was a bit dubious about the power level part. He would keep an optic on the bot. Other bots were fascinated by other things about Lancex – his sword, his abilities, and his true relationship to Optimus. All things would be revealed in time and at the right time.
