Scourge watched as Optimus dragged away Lancex. Scourge was livid but he had a choice to make – did he stay and let the potentially perfect mate go or did he submit himself to Autobot authority and try to did close to Lancex that way. Snarl just watched as Scourge made his decision. Scourge tagged Snarl and both moved to catch up with the Autobots.
Upon the two meeting up with the others, Optimus made darn sure to stand between Lancex and Scourge. Snarl and Scourge were not completely sure about this, but they felt they had little choice, though for different reasons. "Why do you follow us? We defeated you fair and square" Optimus queried distrustfully.
"We come, seeking to join the Autobots. We want to assist you with your mission" Scourge asked, hoping to join, as was Snarl.
Optimus was not sure if he exactly trusted these bots, but they needed the help. "I suppose you can join" Optimus replied. Scourge and Snarl were relieved. Jetfire was also wary of these two, well Scourge more than Snarl, but he still wasn't sure he trusted them. But Optimus indicated that it was time to head back to the base. Vector Prime nodded at the command and soon used his powerful sword to create a warp back home.
Once the opening was created, the Autobots headed through, with Optimus pushing his older brother through to keep him separated from Scourge. Lancex was still too dazed from the whole kiss. Lancex, as part of the war effort in his previous realm, had rejected having experiencing any emotions as it made it easier to fight. He would have to relearn to experience them before he would be ready for anything more than fighting and he would need a lot of help in that realm to return to a normal feeling bot.
Scourge and Snarl brought up the rear. They headed through, unsure of what they were headed into but hoping that they had picked the right side to be on. Scourge also hoped to utilize this opportunity to get to know Lancex better and get closer to the bot.
At the same time, Optimus was still not liking the whole kiss situation. Lancex seemed vulnerable and Optimus feared Scourge would take advantage of the bot. Optimus figured that if Scourge was allowed to join the Autobot team, Optimus could easily keep an optic on the potentially devious bot. Things were now at a bit of a stalemate.
