Frustrated at being thwarted at every turn, Scourge headed towards the rec room, hoping and praying that he would get a chance to know Lancex. Heading in, Scourge was relieved when he noticed Lancex was seated alone at a table, cleaning an unusual looking sword. Hoping that he would have a chance now, Scourge made his way over.
Sensing a presence, Lancex looked up as he cleaned his ryu. Lancex, upon seeing Scourge, allowed the bot to come close and sit at the table. Lancex could tell at least one thing – Scourge was impressed by the sword. Well, that and Lancex felt a strange feeling in his spark that he didn't understand, but since his systems weren't activating his warning signals, he just let it be. Scourge asked to join the swordsman and Lancex allowed the dragon bot to join him, which pleased Scourge.
And, as luck would have it, as the the two were chatting and trying to get to know each other, who would show up but Optimus, and he didn't appear to pleased with what he saw. But not wanting to lose face in front of his men, Optimus walked over to the table where Lancex and Scourge sat. It didn't bother Lancex at this point, but it did bother Scourge though he tried not to show it.
Optimus, wanting to ask something, soon asked his brother about what happened in the other dimension. This was an area that Lancex excelled in talking about and he told about the war he was part of, who were his allies, and all kinds of things including various weapons. Both Scourge and Optimus were totally amazed at everything that Lancex said and every story the swordsman told. Lancex said the gist of the war was to stop the destruction of a king and that Lancex still had a few friends in that realm.
"Wow, sounds like it was a tough battle" Scourge said, totally and utterly amazed.
"It was. We almost lost several times, but in the end, we won and all were now safe" Lancex replied. The three continued to talk, though it bothered Scourge that no matter what, Optimus would not leave. It felt like par for the course.
