Unaware that he was now being sought by Scourge and Evac, Lancex headed to Landmine, hoping the old bot could help him. "You look down, Lancex. Is something wrong?"
"I am not down, I think, as you say. I feel.. I feel.. confused?" Lancex replied.
"You aren't sure what you feel?" Landmine queried, not quite understanding what was going on and unaware the kids had just entered.
"Well, you see, where I fought before – I saw some much destruction, I shut down to prevent myself m breaking down after every casualty. I figured if I didn't feel it, I could fight better" Lancex replied.
Landmine nodded. He had heard of bots doing this before, and while most hadn't been like this, some were actually worse. "If you just shut it down, you can restore it" Landmine tried to explain.
"I can? I can change? I can… feel?" Lancex asked, unaware of the kids.
"It may not be easy, Lancex, but it can be done" Coby stated, having overheard and stunning both bots.
"Really?" Lancex asked looking at both.
"Yes, it takes time, as it will be overwhelming to you once you open that side of you again, but we are willing to help you" Landmine added and the kids nodded.
"Just one question before I try… have you ever felt your spark go wacky?" Lancex asked.
Lamdmine shook his helm. "I haven't but I think once you open yourself back up, you will truly realize what that is" Landmine replied. Lancex nodded and carefully tried to reopen the part of him he had shut down, but once he did so he was overwhelmed with so many emotions he crashed to the ground. Landmine thankfully caught the bot before he could hit the ground. "What happened?" Lori asked.
"He opened a program he hadn't in a very long time and it overwhelmed his systems. His systems shut down to reboot and reintegrate this old programming back into his systems. He should reboot shortly" Landmine explained to the kids who stayed close by.
Soon, just as Landmine had said, Lancex rebooted and he was a bit disoriented until he completely came back online. "How are you doing, Lancex?" Landmine asked.
Lancex thought for a bit, as he still felt slightly overwhelmed. "I… I feel … like me" Lancex replied.
"Do you now understand that wackiness in your spark?" Landmine asked.
"Yes, but before I deal with that, I feel there is something else I must tend to first" Lancex replied. Landmine nodded and let the seemingly new bot go, as it was never good to stop a bot on a mission.
