Chapter Two:

Score to Settle

Bullhead transport heading for Amity

She was mad...no, scratch that, she was downright pissed the hell off!

She knew it. She fucking knew that something was not right about the match between her and Mercury, and now the proof was broadcasted on every T.V. screen via the CCT, showing the said silver haired prick standing up and moving around like nothing had even happened. And it was thanks to that mystery team of Huntsmen and Huntresses who, quite literally, threw him and Emerald into the arena, and began to kick the living shit out of them. Along with their mystery teammate, the woman in the red dress.

She didn't know what her involvement in getting her disqualified was, but she's definitely gonna find out when she gets to the arena.

Yang Xiao Long looked toward the cockpit before shouting out.

"Hey pal!" she shouted, "Move this bucket a little faster! I got a little appointment with a punk who deserves a good beating, and I don't want to be late for it!"

"Yang, please!" chastised Weiss Schnee as she sat next to her, "Yelling at the pilot isn't going to get us there faster!"

"That jerk faked being hurt, and I was given crap for it!" Yang shouted, "You think I'm gonna let him get away with that!?"

"I understand you're angry Yang, but please don't do anything reckless!" Weiss told her, "Whatever they did to trick you and everybody else, they could do it again!"

Yang only growled, but didn't say anything, before she looked at her partner Blake, who was more quiet than usual, ever since she ran into the two at the airship docks after they watched what had happened at the arena. Her features softened somewhat, before she spoke to the cat Faunus.

"Hey...," she said, getting Blake's attention as she turned and looked at the blonde brawler. "...You okay?"

Blake opened her mouth, but didn't say anything at first before she looked back at the floor, clear nervousness and anxiety showing on her face.

"I...I don't know," she said, remembering when she saw the White Fang Bullhead arrive in the stadium, but then was shocked to see that instead of Adam walking off like some conqueror, he was instead caught by those android dogs, who were clearly in league with the four people who attacked Emerald and Mercury. She never, in her wildest dreams, believed that would one day ever happen, since Adam was quite literally the strongest warrior that the White Fang had. And now, he was on his knees, before the four people who had just cleared her partner's name, whom to her regret, she feared was becoming like the Bull Faunus, but it was not true since the boy she attacked was never injured in the first place "I just... don't know anymore,"

Yang only looked at her partner with a solemn frown, but didn't say anything as they continued on toward Amity.

Meanwhile, back in Amity

"That...was your last chance, Taurus. And you just blew it, big time,"

That was the spark that reignited the battle as the four charged at the group of terrorists, Raine and An going back to their targets, while Krim went after Adam as they engaged in a sword duel. That left Dorée to face Cinder on her own, as she formed a glass sword and blocked the sword swing aimed at her neck.

"Looks like it's just you and me," the red highlight blonde growled as she added pressure to her sword to Cinder's own, as the ashen haired woman growled angrily in return, "Still having trouble with your stolen powers?"

"SHUT UP!" Cinder shouted as she pushed against Dorée, "When they come back I will make you regret ever crossing me!"

The girl only glared her emerald gaze toward her, as a smirk formed on her lips.

"Even if you had all of the Fall Maiden powers, you'll still be in the fight of your life." she said, making Cinder blink.

"What do you-?" she began to ask, only to be cut off by a knee to the gut, and making her stagger back, "KOFF!"

"Good things come to those who wait!" Dorée snipped, "Be patient!"

Cinder rubbed her stomach as she looked at the girl with extreme ire.

"I am going to kill you,"

*CLANG!*

*CLANG!*

*BANG!*

The red headed brother of Dorée, clashed with the rogue White Fang operative as the two's swords sparked every time they hit.

"You know she's planning to just toss you and your followers to the wolves, right?" he questioned the scarred Bull Faunus, "She doesn't care about you or anyone else for that matter...she just wants your muscle so she could acquire power that's not even her's."

Adam growled as he sheathed his sword and unleashed one of his Moonslice attacks, courtesy of his Semblance, which to his shock, Krim was able to bat away with his shield which formed from the gauntlet on his left arm..

"How...!?" he said, as Krim smirked.

"Ever heard of Drache Iron?" he said, as he tapped the shield. "Strongest stuff on Remnant, but really hard to acquire thanks to what's living on that continent it's normally found."

Adam was entirely dumstrucked, before his eyes narrowed and his mouth formed an angry snarl.

"Damn you, Human!" he growled, while Krim looked at him with a deadpan expression, with a quirked eyebrow.

"I have a name, you know..." he half said, half mocked, "...it's Krim. Start using it,"

"DON'T MOCK ME!" was the revenge drunk Bull's roaring response before he charged at the other redhead.

"Oh great, here we go again!" Emerald said before the second pair jumped at her and Mercury, weapons at the ready, before they clashed with the two, with herself dealing with the girl again, and Mercury, dealing with the hammer wielder.

"You know, there is still time for you Emerald," the girl said to her, causing Emerald to blink as she blocked the blade of the pistol that was swung at her face.

"What are you talking about!?" she snapped, before the girl swung her foot forward and hit Emerald's shin making her yelp, before An rushed in and grabbed her into a headlock.

"What I'm talking about...," she said, "...Is that you still have time to get away from Cinder before she and that Queen of her's destroy everything,"

Emerald grunted as she fought to get out of the lock, as she gave a sideways glare at An.

"You're...wrong!" She growled, "She wants to set up a new world order!"

An rolled her eyes at that, "Yeah, right, and I'm an Apathy," she muttered. "Face it you dumbass, she's only just using you!"

"Shut up!" Emerald screeched before using her semblance to cast an illusion. However, An just smirked.

"You're really gonna try that mind fuckery on me?" she questioned, much to Emerald's surprise.

"Wha-?"

"Let me tell you a little secret, the reason you get me is because my semblance, Adaptability, helps counter yours!" she said, "Meaning your little illusion tricks won't work on me!"

Emerald knew at that very moment...she was royally screwed.

With Mercury, he was trying not to get his head smashed by Raine's hammer/bazooka as the head of the weapon slammed in front of him, which resulted in a blast wave that sent him flying back further away from him, and also Emerald in her duel with An.

"Damn it!" he ground out.

"What's the matter, Peg Legs?" Raine mocked questioningly, "A little worried for your little girlfriend? Don't worry, my sister won't rough her TOO badly,"

The son of Marcus Black gritted his teeth at that, wanting nothing more than to kick this punk's teeth in.

"How the living Hell did you even find out about us!?" he questioned, only to dodge a swipe of the hammer as the armored teen continued his advance.

"Sorry, no spoilers!" Raine said, a smirk on his face, which made Mercury growl at him again.

"What are you a movie junkie-!?"

"NO SPOILERS!"

"Okay. That's it!" Nora shouted as she brought out her scroll, "I can't stand it anymore!"

Ren sighed as he watched his childhood friend call in her weapon locker, and he immediately followed.

"Might as well," he acknowledged vocally, with Jaune immediately following suit. Ruby meanwhile sighed in disappointment as her own scroll was trashed thanks to Mercury so she couldn't call in her baby.

"Well that's just great...," she groaned.

"What's the matter, sis?" a familiar voice was heard and Ruby blinked before she turned and saw, to her happiness, Yang along with Blake and Weiss. "Why the glum face?,"

"Girls! You made it!" The Rose Reaper said happily.

Weiss gave an irritated eye roll, though a smile was on her face.

"Well of course we'd be here," the Schnee heiress said with a haughty knowingness.

"We saw what happened and came up here as quickly as we could." Blake said, and the girls turned toward the arena where the fight was continuing, Yang's eyes turning Red when she saw Mercury, standing up as if nothing had happened to him...well except for what is going to happen to him NOW of course, if the guy with the Hammer Bazooka doesn't turn him into a messy red stain on the ground.

"Umm, can you girls loan me one of your scrolls, Mercury shot a hole through mine when I tried to call for help," Ruby said sheepishly, which made Yang even angrier when she heard that as she snapped her head toward her sister who flinched with a small 'eep!'..

"HE DID WHAT!?" She screeched, as her hair glowed a fiery yellow, spooking everyone around her, "OOOOOOH, I'M REALLY GONNA KILL HIM, NOW!"

"Not without backup you're not," Nora said, as she hit the button to call in her weapon, and Ren and Jaune did the same, and it was not long as three rocket lockers approached them and landed in front of the students before they opened, showing the signature weapons of Team JNPR.

"Come to Mama, my pretty!" Nora said gleefully as she grabbed Magnhild.

Ren only rolled his eyes good naturedly as he grabbed his Storm Flowers, while Jaune got Crocea Mors.

"Luckily we called ours before we got here," Blake said as she touched the handle of her Gamble Shroud. Weiss nodded, before bringing up her own scroll.

"Be thankful I had Miss Goodwitch program ALL our scrolls to call each of our lockers in case ONE of us loses ours," She says as she casts an accusing glare toward the Silvered eyed Rose who just gave a nervous chuckle. Weiss rolled her eyes before she hit the call button and another Locker, followed by four more, landed in front of them and it opened to reveal the unmistakable folded up form of Ruby's Crescent Rose.

Said Reaper's eyes widened in happiness as a big smile formed on her face.

"I love you, Weiss," she squeaked out happily.

"Please don't...," Weiss deadpanned.

"Alright enough talking!" Nora exclaimed, "Let's get into it!"

"Nora, wait-!" Ren tried to warn her, only for her to jump toward the arena and slam into the hardlight shield before comically sliding down, causing the two young men of Team JNPR to facepalm.

"Must be the caramel apples," Jaune said, while Ren nodded.

"Okay that's definitely a no go," Yang said, "How do we get in?"

"The same way we got in when we had our matches." Weiss said, "The ready rooms below the arena! We can use the lift to get to them from there,"

"Sounds like a plan!" Ruby agreed, as she grabbed her beloved weaponon, "Let's go!"

"Mind if we tag along?"

RWBY and JNPR turned, sans Ren as he was helping Nora back up after her failed attempt to enter the arena, and spotted Team CFVY as they approached with their own weapons in tow.

"Coco! Velvet!" Ruby said, happy to see the senior students. The Team leader, Coco Adel, nodded her head in greeting to the red cloaked girl.

"Hey Ruby, hope you don't mind some extras, cause I got a score to settle with that bitch, Emerald." she said, and though Ruby didn't much like swearing, right now time was of the essence.

"Sure I don't mind," Ruby said, as Yang added her two cents.

"Just save Mercury for me," the blonde brawler growled as her eyes turned and she slammed her fist into her palm, "I got my own score to settle with him,"

The fashionista nodded as she lifted up her 'bag'.

"He's all yours, Yang."

"Alright..." Ruby started, "...let's head to the lift below the arena,"

With that, the three teams went in the said direction, all of them with different objectives. But the most important thing on two of the leaders' minds: Answers to what is going on and who the strange team is.

'I am getting REALLY sick of this!' mentally growled Cinder as she dodged another swipe from Dorée.

"What's the matter, Miss Ashes? Having problems?" Dorée mocked again, causing Cinder to grit her teeth, her anger skyrocketing to new heights.

She SO wanted to burn this little pest so badly she could almost smell the familiar scent of burning flesh.

'Just you wait you little shit,' she mentally growled, 'I'm going to inflict you with so much pain, you'll BEG me for death!,'

Her mental rant was cut short as the blade of the sword nearly sliced her left cheek open.

"Careful, now," Dorée 'cautioned', as she smirked, "Wouldn't want to mess that pretty face up more than it already is,"

'...On second thought...I'll prolong your suffering for as long as possible, then I'll feed your corpse to the crows!,'

The two young women continued on with their death duel, as people in the stands of the arena just watched on, all of them still in shock at the unexpected turn of events. However, none of them were aware of the group of students making their way to them.

"This is Ironwood! Where's my back-up!?" James ordered as he watched the fight continue.

"We're having trouble, sir!" said one of the air cruiser captains, "Something has locked us out of the ships' controls! We're having the analysts trying to look into what's going on!"

James grit his teeth at that, "Tell them to hurry! I have four unknowns that have possession of Atlas property trying to kill a certain group of people who REALLY shouldn't be here! I want these people detained and immediately questioned ASAP!" he exclaimed, as Port and Oobleck looked on in worry.

"I never seen him like this," Port said, with Oobleck nodding in agreement.

"I guess this is what happens when someone like him gets angry."

On the Atlas airship itself, the crew were at a loss at what was going on with their controls.

"We're moving as quickly as we can!" said one of the analysts, as he and three of his colleagues frantically looked through the data via their scrolls. "Something is changing the code!"

"That would be me, good sirs!" a female voice chirped, causing the Atlesian bridge to blink in confusion at the voice from their intercom system.

The Captain's eyes narrowed at the announcement.

"Who is this!?" he demanded, "What have you done to my ship!?"

"That would be telling, now would it?" the voice sassed, "Sorry soldier boys, I can't let you interfere at the arena. So, time for me to drive!,"

With that said, the Atlesian aerial cruiser lurched to the left, catching the crew off guard as they were flung off their feet.

"A word of warning for all: It's going to be a bumpy ride!"

The Captain struggled to his feet as he grasped his command chair. His face set in a glare as he looked around the bridge.

"How the hell did this happen!?" he demanded no one in particular,"Our military network is supposed to be hacker proof!"

"That would be true...," the voice said, "Unless one of those who wrote the network hadn't sold the secret to it on the Black Market, or..."

Suddenly, from the main holo-screen appeared the figure of a woman with pixie-cut length hair, and glowing with pink colored computer coding appeared. All the while giving a smirk.

"...maybe it was an artificial intelligence based on that same code, but made better!"

All the crew looked at the figure of the A.I., their eyes wide with surprise.

"A-An A.I.!?" the Captain gasped out, "But...how did-?"

The A.I. wagged her finger in a 'tsk tsk' fashion.

"Nah ah ah! All A.I.s have their secrets...," she said, before giving a very mischievous giggle, "Just relax ladies and gents, and enjoy the party,"

Meanwhile, back at Beacon, a certain drunk uncle had met up with the Headmaster and Combat Instructor of the Academy, as they boarded the Bullhead airship and headed straight for the coliseum. The said drunk, actually sober for once, as he readied his weapon.

"Man, just once I wish for an uncomplicated day," Qrow Branwen grunted as he checked Harbinger. Glynda Goodwitch looked at her companion with a flat look.

"Unfortunately Qrow, in our line of work, complications are a daily occurence," she said, as she held her riding crop.

"Don't remind me, Glyn," the red-caped huntsman replied, before turning behind him, "What do you think about all this Oz.

Said Professor didn't say anything at first before looking up from his scroll which showed the current brawl going on in the arena.

"For once in my life, Qrow...I'm not sure what to think," he said, causing the Branwen to sigh before his thoughts went to his nieces, both by blood and honorary.

'You kids better be safe,' he thought as the airship continued toward Amity Arena.
