37. Chapter 36

Optimus quickly recovered from what had occurred and asked Lancex to place the captured cons in brig cells on the ark they had come on. Lancex nodded and used a few of his abilities such as the flash step to quickly haul the dimwitted cons to the secure brigs in the ark they had used to come to this planet. Optimus silently sighed at just how quick his brother moved.

Soon after Lancex left to lock up the damaged cons, Optimus noticed that Metroplex and Quickmix returned with a very nervous Menasor in tow. "Have you three finished your necessary discussion?" Optimus asked.

"We have. Menasor will no longer be an issue" Quickmix answered as he patted Menasor on his back. Menasor could only nod while blushing.

"I'd say that it is time we help you complete your mission and find that key, if it is indeed still on this planet" Metroplex announced. Optimus nodded as there was still much work to be done.

"Where do you think it is likely to be?" Another Autobot asked.

"According to our legends, it will likely be located deep inside our planet, in the central layer" Metroplex answered.

"I know it is going against your tradition to return to a citadel you have already left, as you told us that, but we ask you to come with us, as if the blackhole gets us, it will get you too" Vector Prime expressed.

"Well, we've decided to help, as our traditions won't mean anything if we are no longer around" Metroplex stated. "But since I have never been to the core, we should likely try and find info that would lead us there."

Optimus nodded, as that made sense. "Well, I know our human friends picked up something in a citadel we passed through to get here. Maybe it would contain needed information" Optimus added. Metroplex nodded and the giant bots and the others began to plan there next move, minus a couple bots. They would need to break into teams if they hoped to locate this fast. But little did anyone know that Lancex would soon realize just how much his reappearance had effected others, especially Scourge and Evac.
