The story began one rainy night in Nightfright and Scarlett's Penthouse apartment.
They were sitting on the couch and watching TV, looking not too happy about something. That's when Nightfright got a call from Lucifer.
"Hello" he answered.
"Hello my friend, how are you doing" Lucifer asked him.
"Been better, Scarlett and I are currently not to happy after something we recently learned" he replied.
"Oh, so you've probably heard the news about your old home then" Lucifer asked him.
"That Green Haven has become a tourist trap and a lot more pieces of shit are walking the streets than usual? Yeah, we've heard and we are livid" he growled.
"Yeah! It infuriates me that those pieces of shit stooped to that low" Scarlett growled.
They both rolled their eyes and sighed in unison.
"If only there was a way I can go back up there and show them the meaning of fear! Teach them all a lesson they'll never forget" said Nightfright.
Lucifer smiled on the other end after hearing that.
"You know…there might be a way" he said.
That got both Nightfright and Scarlett's attention.
"Really" Nightfright asked him.
"Yes. If I'm not mistaken, your full demon form is a gigantic and incredibly powerful dragon, right" Lucifer asked him.
"Yeah, so" he replied.
"Well it's quite simple: go to your old home town, turn into your full demon form and terrorize them" said Lucifer.
Nightfright and Scarlett glanced at each other for a split second.
"Are you…actually giving me permission to do that" Nightfright asked him.
"As long as you don't get caught, I don't see why not" he replied.
Nightfright and Scarlett grinned and glanced over at each other.
"Thank you for that wonderful suggestion, my friend" said Nightfright.
"Hey, what are friends for? Just know that your powers are limited while in the Living Realm" said Lucifer.
"They are" Nightfright asked him.
"Yes, the powers of all powerful demons are limited in the Living Realm. But I am confident you can still fire blasts of red fire and negative energy" he replied.
"OK, then. And don't worry about the captured part. The pigs of that accursed town couldn't hold me, what'll make them think they can catch me" said Nightfright.
Scarlett giggled.
"Very well, then. Farewell, take care and have fun" said Lucifer.
He then hung up as Nightfright and Scarlett looked at each other, grinning with malicious intent.
"Tomorrow is going to be a fun day, my dear" said Nightfright.
"Oh yeah, I can't wait" said Scarlett.

They both laughed manically as the sound of thunder was heard outside.
The next day they were at their base outside of Pentagram City and were getting ready to head out to Green Haven, California. The town that they were born in and the town that ruined their lives.
"Get ready to be amazed, my dear. You are about to see a one-of-a-kind show" said Nightfright.
"I know honey, I know" said Scarlett.
They assumed their human disguises and Scarlett opened a portal to the rooftop of a building in their old home town. They walked through it and it closed right behind them as they gazed out at the town below. Most of the humans walking around were angsty and spoiled entitled teenagers and adults with jewelry and expensive watches, much to their disgust.
"Ugh" Scarlett growled.
"I feel the same way, my dear" said Nightfright.
All of a sudden they heard cheering, screaming and the sound of music coming from the beach. They looked over and were surprised to see a stage and what appeared to be concert going on.
"What the? That's a first" said Nightfright.
"Yeah, you said it honey. I don't remember a single concert or big event like that happening in this town" said Scarlett.
"Me neither. Then again, this garbage town did recently become a tourist trap so a concert wouldn't be too far of a stretch" he said.
"True. I wonder who is playing" she asked.
"Hold, I'll check" he replied.
He snapped his fingers and conjured up a spyglass. He looked through it and was surprised at who he saw singing on stage.
"Who is it, honey" Scarlett asked him.
"See for yourself. Is that who I think it is" he asked her.
He handed her the spyglass and she looked through it. She was just as surprised as he was.
"That…that's Verosika Mayday" she replied.
"Yeah…great. She picked the worst place and the worst time to put on a concert" said Nightfright.
That's when Scarlett put her hands on his face and he looked at her.
"But we don't care, do we" she asked.
He smiled back at her and they kissed.
"No, we most certainly don't" he replied.
"Shall we" she asked him.
"Yeah, let's do this" he replied.
They both turned back into their demon forms and took to the skies, flying quickly as to not be seen.
