"Ahhh!" Loke screamed out of exhaustion as his work was finally finished.

"I could really use a drink and a maybe few ladies right about now," Loke said.

"I wouldn't mind having a few drinks," Lyon said, and Ultear nodded in acknowledgment. "What about you?" The woman looked over at the raven-haired man.

He looked up, facing the three, and nodded. "Sure, I'll come with."

"Are you guys planning on going to Amber Sin?" A voice of a woman is heard.

"Yeah, you can come with us to Meredy." Lyon smiled at the pinkette.

"That would be nice, but I heard that it closed for the night because there's some sort of fight or something," Meredy said.

"That's odd, Juvia doesn't close off the nightclub even if there's a fight. A lot of people actually go there to watch if there's a fight happening." Loke contemplated.

Meredy shook her head. "I don't know for sure, I tried calling Juvia but she won't answer my calls."

Meredy is one of Juvia's closest friends. She's usually the one Juvia talks to concerning anything, really.

"Regardless, we should still go there and check if there's anything wrong," Ultear said.

"Agreed." Gray nodded.

Lucy's phone rang on her coffee table. The blonde reached out for it and answered the call.

"Hello."

"Hey, Luigi." The voice over the line snickered. It's Natsu

"It's Lucy!" Lucy's irritated voice spoke out.

"I'm just messing with ya!" Natsu chuckled. "I heard Amber sin is closed for the night why is that?"

"Some dudes tried to kill Madame but she took care of them." Lucy simply responded.

"Of course she did. That woman is ridiculously scary at times." Natsu chuckled. "You're not hurt are you?"

"No, I'm in our dressing room when it happened," Lucy responded. "Why? Are you worried about little ol' me?"

"I'm not worried, you're one of Juvia's dancers I know you can kick ass."

Alina is managing the arrangements for the new tables for the club. Most of the tables and chairs are ruined because of the fight. The doors of the nightclub were closed as Juvia ordered, but then she heard a knock at the front door.

"Didn't they read the sign," Alina growled as she walked towards the door and opened it to see who was outside. It turns out to be Gray, Lyon, Loke, Meredy, and Ultear.

"Oh, it's just you guys." Alina opened the door wider, inviting them in.

"What happened here?" Loke asked.

"There's a fight." Alina vaguely answered.

"Yeah, but why close the club, Juvia never does that," Ultear added.

"We just opened the club, so not a lot of people are around at the time, There's an assassination attempt." Alina further explained the situation. "An assassination attempt on Madame."

"Seriously!"

"Oh dear"

"Where is she?" Gray asked demandingly.

"She's at the penthouse," Alina responded.

Gray nodded and went upstairs. The others followed suit.

Juvia is munching on some popcorn as she watches an episode of Modern Family. She is unfortunately interrupted when her door bursts open.

"Hey!" Juvia shouted, complaining about the rude interruption. She didn't even get the chance to fix herself up. She turned around to face the cause of this, only to see Loke, Lyon, Meredy, Ultear, and Gray.

"You guys." Juvia gasped. She's wearing a fluffy white robe hiding the bandages on her shoulder area. Bandages, band-aids, and bruises can also be seen on her face. It's not a good look to face him with.

"Juvi!~" Meredy cried as she gave her best friend a tight hug. "Why didn't you tell me? Why didn't call me?" Meredy interrogated the blunette, who displayed a face of uncomfort. "What's wrong?"

"My wound, it's still fresh." Juvia managed to say.

"Right." Meredy let go of the woman. "Sorry."

"Still, why didn't you tell us!" Gray scolded the woman.

"Sorry, I didn't have the time, it all happened so fast." Juvia sheepishly replied.

"She's alright and that's what matters," Ultear spoke, patting Gray's shoulder, trying to calm him down.

Juvia then invited them further into her place, and the four decided to leave both Gray and Juvia alone for a while.

"Boss." Juvia started. "I'm fine."

Gray inhaled sharply and moved closer to the woman. His fingers trailed over the bruises on her cheek. Juvia grabbed his hand and held it over her chest.

"Tell me, who did this to you?" He asked, his tone dangerously low.

"Juvia took care of it, there's no need for you to do anything." Juvia smiled, reassuring him. "I can handle myself, Gray."

"But you're-"

"I know and Juvia's sorry for making you worry."

"I can't help it." Gray lowered his head down.

"Just like Ultear said. Juvia's alright, and that's what matters." Juvia softly spoke as she slowly lifted his face, his eyes meeting hers. "Now, come." She dragged Gray to the lounge area where Ultear, Loke, Lyon, and Meredy were already snacking on the popcorn and continued the show she was watching earlier.

"So Juvia, how many were they? The men who attacked you?" Loke asked.

"There's eight. Although the other one made the mistake of capturing one of my girls so that guy is dead before the fight even began." Juvia replied.

"Sometimes I forget that your girls are absolute badasses." Loke chuckled. "I love a woman who can kick my ass."

Juvia smiled wickedly and chuckled. "Then, I gave the bastard who ordered them a little present."

"What kind of present?" Meredy leaned in.

"A box of disembodied heads mailed straight at his front door," Juvia smirked.

Meredy and Loke cheered at this and gave the bluenette a high-five.

The night got deeper and the group decided to head home.

"You know, you're very confusing at times," Ultear said to the raven-haired man as they walked out of the nightclub.

"What do you mean?" Gray raised an eyebrow as he opened the door of his car.

"You say stuff like; 'I don't have feelings for her', 'She's just an ally', and then you do stuff like this," Ultear said. "It's very contradicting."

Gray huffed and looked over to his side.

"Denying it won't change anything if you still act on it." Ultear continued. "What are you afraid of?"

Gray stayed silent, Ultear knew the answer to that question already.

"Juvia is strong and capable, I mean she fought seven men and she won with only a few cuts and bruises and a wound on her shoulder. Not to mention she decapitated them afterward." Ultear spoke sternly. "Listen to her when she says she can handle herself because she can, she's your top assassin after all."

"I know that," Gray grumbled.

Ultear sighed and entered the passenger seat.

"You know how she feels about you," Ultear said.

"She has the same issues I have." Gray briefly replied, his focus staying on the road.

"That might be true but unlike you, she's willing to risk it," Ultear added.

"What makes you so sure about that?"

"Because, if she's not willing to risk it then she would've left you years ago."

What do you guys think of the story so far? I really want to hear your thoughts and opinions.
