Meanwhile…
"An imp in the Living World" Nightfright asked.
"Yeah, I spotted him out cold and had him brought back here" Scarlett replied.
"What the fuck is an imp of all demons doing in the Living World" he asked.
"That's what I was wondering. Maybe he was with Verosika and her crew" she said.
"Let's see if we can find out" he said.
She nodded as they both walked over to Blitzø, who was tied up in a chair and still out cold.
"How long has he been out cold" Nightfright asked her.
"I don't know. Maybe 20 minutes" Scarlett replied.
"In that case, he should be waking up soon" he said.
"How do you plan to get answers out of him when he wakes up" she asked him.
Just then Blitzø was starting to wake up.
"Ugh, my head" he uttered.
Nightfright quickly grabbed him by his head and used his power on him. Blitzø looked up at them in silence, his eyes glowing red.
"OK, buddy. Start talking, who are you" Scarlett asked him.
"My name is Blitzø. The o is silent" he replied.
"OK…tell us, what were you doing in the Living World and what do you do for a living? Tell us everything" Nightfright ordered.
Blitzø, now under Nightfright's mind control, told him and Scarlett everything. What I.M.P. is and what it does, his "deal" with Stolas Goetia and using his Grimoire, what he was doing in the Living World, everything! By the end of it, Nightfright and Scarlett had a hard time believing it.
"OK, OK, enough. Thank you, now be quiet while we discuss the matter in private" said Nightfright.
They both turned around walked to the other end of the room to talk about what they just heard.
"Honey, what they're doing…" he cut her off.
"Yeah, I know. It's the kind of business that Lucifer would support" said Nightfright.
"So what do we do then? Call him and tell him" she asked him.
"No, not just yet. We will in time, but right now is not the right time" he replied.
"Do you think he already knows about them" she asked him.
"Maybe. I mean, he's the King of Hell! Probably nothing goes unnoticed under his rule" he replied.
They walked back to Blitzø, who was still tied up and under Nightfright's control.
"What should we do with him" she asked him.
"Given what he told us, it sounds to me like he has a lot of negative emotions bottled up" he replied.
"Probably" she said.
"Hold on" he said.
Nightfright's eyes began to glow red as he looked at Blitzø.
"OK, wow. Yeah, he has a lot of negative emotions bottled up. Anger, sadness, self-hate…" said Nightfright.
"Anger, sadness and self-hate? That's a recipe for disaster" said Scarlett.
"Yeah, I think I could use all of those negative emotions for something better" he said.
"Like what" she asked him.
Nightfright thought about it for a minute before he got an idea. He whispered the idea into Scarlett's ear and she smiled.
"Do it" she said.
Nightfright used his powers to take all of the negative emotions from inside Blitzø and use them to create something. Suddenly the intercom system detected someone at the gate. They both looked and it's Verosika Mayday and her posse, looking not too happy.
"Figured they would show up" said Nightfright.
"How much time do you need" Scarlett asked him.
"Not much. I almost got it" he replied.
With a bright flash of red light, he and Scarlett laughed at what he has created. A few minutes later Verosika and her posse were still standing outside of the gate to the base, impatient.
"Maybe nobody is home" said Apple.
"He has to be here. There's no way that he isn't" said Verosika.
She went ahead and buzzed the intercom again.
"Hey! I know you're here Nightfright! You've got a lot of explaining to do" she shouted.
Suddenly, they all heard loud hisses and growls coming from the other side of the gate. A nightmare raptor grabbed the gate with its claws and opened it just as Nightfright arrived, along with Scarlett and a small army of Living Nightmares.
"You! What's the big idea ruining my concert" Verosika shouted.
The Living Nightmares all growled, hissed and snapped their jaws at them until Nightfright snapped his fingers and they all backed down.
"It wasn't my intention to ruin your little concert specifically. You just had to pick the worst place and the worst time to put one on" he replied.
"What were you even doing in the Human World to begin with" she asked him.
"Let's just say I had some scores I needed to settle. Now that they're done, I don't ever have to go back to that wretched place again" he replied.
"Well, you did kill my Ex. So I guess I can be a little thankful for that" she said.
"Who, Blitzø? Oh he's not dead, he's just in safe place" he said.
Verosika and her posse all froze.
"Wait, you two have him" she asked them.
"Oh yeah, I found him out cold and had him brought here" said Scarlett.
"And after a little mind control session, he told us everything" said Nightfright.
"And you're not gonna tell Lucifer anything, considering you and the King are buddies" she asked him.
"That is none of you concern" he replied.
"Hmph, whatever. So what do you exactly plan to do with Blitzø" she asked him.
"We'll probably just get rid of him. He's served his purpose anyway" Scarlett replied.
"What do you mean served his purpose" she asked them.
Nightfright and Scarlett glanced at each other and grinned before moving aside. Verosika and her posse saw an outline of an imp in the shadows that looked exactly like Blitzø, but with glowing red eyes. The figure then started walking towards them.
"Blitzø" Verosika called out.
"Blitzø is an idiot, Verosika. I'm not" the figure said in his voice.
Verosika and her posse looked confused before the figure stepped into the light and their eyes widened. The imp, the…thing in front of them looked and sound exactly like Blitzø. The only difference was that his skin was dark red with no scars on his body and his eyes were red with white pupils.
"This is Shadow" said Nightfright.
Verosika and her posse were just gazing in awe after seeing this darker version of Blitzø in front of them. Verosika walked closer to him and leaned down.
"Wow, it's like looking into an evil image of him" she said.
"Not evil, just…different" said Shadow.
"H-how is this possible" she asked.
"Well, after Blitzø told us everything I got curious at just how many negative emotions he had bottled up inside of him so I decided to take a look. I could see that he had a lot of negative emotions bottled up and that was when I got an idea. I'd take those emotions and repurpose them for something else. After that, Shadow here, was created" Nightfright replied.
"It's because those negative emotions came from Blitzø, that I look and sound exactly like him. But not only that, along with his looks and voice, I also have all of his memories" said Shadow.
"Creepy" said Verosika.
"You said it" said Coco.
"Well, we'd love to stay and continue this pointless chat but unfortunately we have work that needs to be done" said Nightfright.
"Let's go Shadow" said Scarlett.
"Of course, mistress" said Shadow.
"Well so long. It's been fun talking to you or…whatever" said Verosika.
The gate closed and both groups walked away. Soon enough, the three of them reached the warehouse.
"OK, just portal Blitzø back to wherever I.M.P. is and drop him off there" said Nightfright.
"If I may interject, master" said Shadow.
"Alright" said Nightfright.
"I wish to talk to Blitzø" said Shadow.
"I don't know. The last thing we want is to make enemies" said Nightfright.
"Don't worry, master. Perhaps I can convince him to turn over a new leaf and become a different imp. You know what they say – The only person you can trust is yourself. And since I have all of Blitzø's memories, I'm technically him" said Shadow.
Nightfright and Scarlett glanced at each other and grinned.
"Alright, then. Let me just release him from that trance he's currently in" said Nightfright.
The three of them walked inside and to the back of the warehouse where Blitzø was still tied up and under Nightfright's mind control. Nightfright grabbed him and freed him from his control.
