Moxxie, Millie and Loona were in the office when they heard something out in the hall. They looked and saw that it was just Verosika with her posse.
"Crazy, just crazy" said Josh.
"I know, right? It's crazy to think what that guy is capable of" said Ace.
That's when Verosika saw them poking their heads out.
"Oh, it's just you" said Moxxie.
"I suppose I should tell you three" said Verosika.
"Tell us what" Millie asked her.
"He's alive" she replied.
"Wait, Blitzø is still alive" Millie asked her.
"Yeah, but it's where he is that's the problem" said Verosika.
"Where is he" Moxxie asked her.
"Ever heard of Nightfright, the Nightmare Demon? Yeah, HE was that big dragon that crashed the party" she replied.
"Him and his wife found Blitzø knocked out cold after the attack and took him" said Josh.
"So that means that Blitzø is in…" Moxxie was cut off.
"Nightfright's base outside of Pentagram City? Yeah" said Verosika.
"We…we have to go and get him back" said Moxxie.
"Yeah, good luck with that" said Ace.
"Nightfright's base is an impenetrable fortress. That place is crawling with Living Nightmares that'll kill you on sight without hesitation or remorse" said Verosika.
"Exactly" said Kiki.
Verosika and her posse walked back into their studio, leaving the trio puzzled on what to do.
"H-how do we get him back, Moxxie" Millie asked him.
"Only thing I can think of is we sneak in there and find him, then get out with him" he replied.
"Yeah, easier said than done. From what I've read, Nightfright's "pets" like to torture intruders before throwing them out. So if we get caught, we're done for" said Loona.
"Maybe we should call Stolas and ask him to come and help us" Moxxie asked.
Loona took out her phone and tried to call Stolas but he didn't pick up.
"No answer. I guess we're on our own" said Loona.
Moxxie and Millie nodded. The three of them geared up and headed out to get Blitzø back.
Meanwhile…
Nightfright just finished a phone call with Lucifer.
"I spoke to Lucifer" he said.
"Well, what did his majesty say" Blitzø asked him.
"He adores the idea! He even asked why he didn't think of it himself" he replied.
"T-that's great" said Blitzø.
"Yeah, but unfortunately Lucifer currently has a lot more important work. Once he and Lilith are available, they'll send us to come get you" said Nightfright.
"And when do you think that'll be" Blitzø asked him.
"Who knows? Maybe a week or two. When it does happen, do not panic and remain calm. Lucifer and Lilith won't kill you" he replied.
"OK…I'll be ready" said Blitzø.
"Good" said Nightfright.
"Say, I wanna know something. How did you two even get to the Human World in the first place" Blitzø asked them.
"Stolas isn't the only one with a grimoire. I've got my own" Scarlett replied.
She snapped her fingers and the Book of Shadows appeared in front of her.
"Woah, it looks like his only…darker" said Blitzø.
"It's called the Book of Shadows. It's supposed to be darker" said Scarlett.
"How did you manage to get it" Blitzø asked her.
"Being friends with Lucifer and Lilith has its advantages" she replied.
"Oh, that's cool. It's going to be a long walk back to Imp City" said Blitzø.
"No need. Here you go" said Scarlett.
She snapped her fingers and a portal opened to a road near I.M.P. HQ.
"Wow, thanks. Oh and Shadow, one more thing" said Blitzø.
"Yes" he asked him.
"Thank you" said Blitzø.
"It's not a problem, Blitzø" said Shadow.
Blitzø walked through the portal and waved goodbye to them as it closed.
"Quite impressive, Shadow. You managed to turn him into a completely different imp" said Scarlett.
"What can I say, mistress? I can be very persuasive with lower class demons" he replied.
"Alright, what do we have on today's agenda" Scarlett asked them.
"Let's see if we can test out those new grenades I made" Nightfright replied.
Scarlett and Shadow both nodded as they walked back inside the warehouse. At the same time Moxxie, Millie and Loona arrived at the fence outside the base.
"Alright, we're here. What now, Moxxie" Millie asked him.
"We sneak in, find Blitzø and get out" said Moxxie.
Millie and Loona nodded and the three of them walked up to the fence.
"It doesn't look electrified" said Millie.
"Maybe we can climb up to a tree branch and jump in from there" said Moxxie.
"That might do it" said Millie.
Little did they know that while they were talking, a Living Nightmare that resembled a hawk was watching them from the top of a nearby tree. It spread its wings and flew off to find its master. After a minute it spotted Nightfright and flew towards him. He saw it coming and it landed on his arm like an eagle.
"What is it, my pet" he asked.
He gently grabbed its head and closed his eyes to look into its head to see what it had seen.
"What did it see" Scarlett asked him.
"Potential intruders, two imps and a hellhound" he replied.
Shadow immediately realized who the intruders were and facepalmed.
"Oh great" he said.
"What is it" Scarlett asked him.
"Just like I said, Verosika let it slip to the rest of I.M.P. where Blitzø was and now they're here to get him" he replied.
Nightfright and Scarlett glanced at each other before the nightmare hawk on his arm took flight. He then telepathically gave an order to his Living Nightmares that are in the forest.
"My pets, we may have intruders! Find them" he ordered.
Suddenly all of the Living Nightmare in the forest were on high alert. Checking everywhere they could intruders, following the order their master gave them. Moxxie, Millie and Loona got over fence and began sneaking through the forest. Suddenly, they heard a lot of growling and hissing coming towards them.
"Quick! Hide" Moxxie whispered.
They all ducked behind a big rock when a large group of Living Nightmares showed up, consisting of nightmare saber tooth tigers, dilophosaurs and raptors. They began to look around and sniff the air, trying to pick up a scent.
"Those are a lot of Living Nightmares. Maybe sneaking in here was a mistake" Moxxie whispered.
"No, it isn't. Come on, Moxxie" Millie whispered.
"OK…alright" Moxxie whispered.
They were about to sneak away when they suddenly heard a shriek from above them that startled them. They looked up and saw the same nightmare hawk on a tree branch above them. It cawed over and over again, alerting the other Living Nightmares as to where they are. A nightmare dilophosaurus jumped on top of the rock they were hiding behind and started to flap its hood. It hissed before spitting red good at them, but they quickly dodged it.
"Go! Go! Go" Loona shouted.
The trio made a run for it, dodging claws and jaws left and right. They managed to get out into a small clearing, only for four nightmare raptors to out speed them and stop right in front of them. They hissed, clawed and snapped their jaws at them, causing the trio to stop in their tracks. They tried to go left and then right but it was no use, they were surrounded.
"This is it! We're done for" said Moxxie.
"Moxxie, don't say that! Just don't" said Millie.
The Living Nightmares were creeping closer and closer to them when all of sudden, they stopped and scattered. The trio were confused as to why the Living Nightmares did that until a small red glowing ball landed in front of them, flashing and beeping.
"What the" Moxxie uttered.
BOOM!
It exploded, sending them flying back and hitting the side of a big rock. Before they could get their bearings, they heard something big walk up to them. Then whatever it was webbed them up against the side of a rock.
"What the fuck?! What is this shit" Loona asked.
"It's sticky! I…I can't move" said Millie.
"Me neither" said Moxxie.
They looked up and were eyed and horrified to see a giant nightmare tarantula. It hissed at them before it left the clearing and went down into a ravine.
SLAM!
A tentacle ending in pincers came out of the shadows, followed by another. Then Nightfright and Scarlett stepped into view, along with several Living Nightmares.
"You two" Loona growled.
"Where's Blitzø? What have you done to him" Moxxie asked them.
"If you've hurt him" Millie growled.
The Living Nightmares all growled, hissed and snapped at them until Nightfright snapped his fingers and they backed down.
"Welcome! We've been expecting you" said Nightfright.
"I regret to inform you that Blitzø has already left" said Scarlett.
"He told us everything! What I.M.P. is and what it does, what you were doing in the Living World and all that. A bit of mind control goes a long way" said Nightfright.
Moxxie, Millie and Loona were all silent and glaring at them.
"Anyways, after Blitzø told us everything I got curious on just how many negative emotions he had bottled up. I took a look and realized that he had a lot of emotions suppressed. That's when I got the idea to take all those negative emotions and use for them for something" said Nightfright.
"Yeah and from those negative emotions, something…or rather, someone was created" said Scarlett.
"What? Who" Moxxie asked them.
Nightfright and Scarlett grinned and moved aside as they heard footsteps approaching. The trio looked and saw a figure approaching that looked exactly like Blitzø, but his eyes were glowing red in the darkness.
"Me, Moxxie" the figure said in Blitzø's voice.
Once Shadow stepped into the light, their eyes widened and their jaws dropped. The resemblance this imp, this…thing had to Blitzø was uncanny. It was like they were looking into an evil image of him.
