Meanwhile…
Blitzø finally made it back to the office, but was surprised to find it empty.
"Well, well, well, look who it is" said a familiar voice.
Blitzø groaned before he turned around and saw Verosika, accompanied by Vortex.
"What's wrong? Did Nightfright play too rough" she asked him.
He sighed and rolled his eyes at her.
"I don't have time for this pointless shit, bitch. Where the fuck is everybody" he asked her.
"Woah, someone is all business all of a sudden" she replied.
"Again, where the fuck did everyone go" Blitzø asked her.
"I let it slip where you were and they headed off to Nightfright's base to rescue you" she replied.
Blitzø's eyes widened and he face palmed.
"Christ on a fucking stick! You know what? I'm not even gonna bother! They're gonna see that I'm not there and come right back here" said Blitzø.
Verosika and Vortex were both shocked. Blitzø was different, something had happened to him. Instead of being frantic and worried, he was cold and uncaring.
"Damn, isn't that a little cold" Vortex asked him.
"Hey, you were there when they said that shit to me! I founded and run a one-of-a-kind assassination business in Hell and what do I get for it? One of my employees and daughter treating me like I'm worthless! Well that's the last straw! No more Mr. Nice Imp" he replied.
Verosika was especially shocked. She's never seen Blitzø this angry before.
"Shouldn't you at least call them and tell that you're alright" she asked him.
Blitzø sighed and rolled his eyes before he pulled out his phone. He tried to call Loona but she didn't pick up.
"That's strange? Loona doesn't put her phone down for even a minute" he said.
"Maybe she has it turned off" said Vortex.
"She never turns it off" said Blitzø.
"Do you think something could have gone wrong with their whole "rescue" mission" Verosika asked him.
At that point, Blitzø was conflicted. On the one hand, he was still furious with them for what they said to him but on the other hand, he was worried about them.
"Ugh, I'll just wait for them to come back" said Blitzø.
With that Blitzø went back inside I.M.P. HQ and slammed the door behind them. Vortex was concerned while Verosika and her posse were all speechless.
"Uh, has he ever been that cold" Apple asked her.
"No, never. He's never been that cold or pissed off. This is a first" she replied.
"What did Nightfright do to him" Ace asked.
Meanwhile…
Moxxie, Millie and Loona came face to face with Shadow, Blitzø's negative energy doppelganger.
"Meet Shadow" said Nightfright.
"What's the matter? Do I look familiar to you" Shadow asked them.
"B-but…but that's…that's impossible" said Moxxie.
Shadow just laughed.
"With Negative Energy Magic, Moxxie, almost anything is possible" said Shadow.
"It's because those negative emotions came from Blitzø that Shadow looks and sounds exactly like him" said Scarlett.
"Not only that, but Shadow also has his memories too" said Nightfright.
"That's right" said Shadow.
Millie didn't look too happy to hear that.
"You're not him! You're nothing more than an evil clone" she said.
"Not evil, Millie. I'm just…different" said Shadow.
"We'll stand back and let you do all the talking, Shadow" said Scarlett.
"Thank you, mistress" said Shadow.
Nightfright and Scarlett walked back into the darkness and went out of sight, leaving Shadow with the trio and a few Living Nightmares.
"Where is Blitzø, you impostor" Moxxie asked him.
"Like my master said, he's not here. He should be back in the office by now" he replied.
Suddenly Loona's phone rang.
"And that's probably him calling" said Shadow.
"Wait, you let him go" Millie asked him.
"Oh yeah, after I had a long and thorough talk with him" he replied.
"About what" Moxxie asked him.
"I can't exactly say what, but let's just say his attitude and the way he treats you three is about to change" he replied.
They were taken aback.
"What" Millie uttered.
Shadow then glared at Moxxie and Loona.
"Yeah, after what you two said to him I managed to talk to him about. He's not gonna be so nice and charismatic anymore" he said.
"I…I didn't mean any of that. I was just frustrated" said Moxxie.
"Yeah, me too" said Loona.
"Frustrated? That has got to be the most pathetic excuse I've ever heard" said Shadow.
Moxxie looked down on the ground in shame. Loona growled at him for that, only for a nightmare raptor to hiss in her face.
"Easy, easy there. Let me talk" said Shadow.
The nightmare raptor looked at Loona then back at him as it calmed down and took a few steps back .
"Anyways…you both bit the hand that fed you and now you'll suffer the consequences of your actions" he said.
"Y-your bluffing" said Moxxie.
"Am I, Moxxie? I'm pretty sure I heard Blitzø say he would get violent if anyone tried to berate him again" said Shadow.
They were shocked.
"Now I know that doesn't sound like your boss at all, but don't worry. It will sound like soon enough" said Shadow.
Loona and Moxxie looked down on the ground, ashamed.
"As for you Millie, I commend your actions. Still sticking up for Blitzø after everything when no one else will" said Shadow.
Millie smiled.
"Gee, thanks" she said.
"Millie, honey…can you do me a favor? Next time I go off, shut me up" said Moxxie.
"Gladly, mister" said Millie.
SLAM!
Nightfright and Scarlett walked back into view, looking not too happy.
"Alright, I think it's about time we step in" said Scarlett.
"Shadow, get behind us" said Nightfright.
"As you wish, master" said Shadow.
He moved aside and got behind them.
"We were there when you talked with Blitzø, Shadow. What exactly did these two say to him" Nightfright asked him.
He gestured for them to lean in closer so he could whisper it to them. They leaned down in front of him and he quickly whispered to them what Loona and Moxxie said to Blitzø.
They both stood upright and turned around, fists clenched and eyes glowing red. Nightfright walked up to Moxxie and glared at him for a few seconds before he slapped him, earning a glare from Millie.
"A waste of time? A WASTE OF TIME?! Why are you even working at I.M.P. if you think it's a waste of time" Nightfright asked him.
"I…I didn't mean it. I was just frustrated" he replied.
"Like Shadow said, that is an absolutely pathetic excuse" Scarlett growled.
"OK, I'm gonna pry a little deep with what I'm about to ask, but tell me Moxxie – what would it rather be? Working at I.M.P. or doing what you used to do before that" Shadow asked him.
Moxxie's eyes widened because he knew what Shadow was talking about.
"I.M.P! I.M.P! You're absolutely right! I-I'll never question Blitzø ever again" he begged.
"That's better, but too late now" said Shadow.
Millie was glaring daggers at Nightfright and Shadow. Nightfright's eyes then began to glow red as he turned towards Loona.
"And as for you" he growled in a demonic voice.
He slammed one of his tentacles into the rock, right next to Loona's head.
"Never in my entire life and afterlife have I met someone so ungrateful, spoiled, bratty, condescending and just downright unpleasant to be around" he said in a demonic voice.
"What did that lady at the orphanage say again? Oh yeah! You had an attitude problem. I guess she was right, huh" Shadow asked.
At this point, Loona was scared. Scarlett walked up to her and glared at her for a few seconds before she slapped her.
"I completely agree with what my husband just said. The two of us never had good parents our whole lives. You get a good parent like Blitzø and THAT'S how you treat him? You don't deserve him" said Scarlett.
Loona didn't say a word and just stared down at the ground, defeated.
"I could give you a dose of fucking reality right now, but as much as it pains me, I'll need you three and Blitzø next week" said Nightfright.
"What" Moxxie uttered.
"Next week for what" Millie asked him.
Nightfright, Scarlett and Shadow glanced at each other and smiled.
"After talking to Blitzø, I called Lucifer and told him everything! He wants you four at his palace next week" he said.
The trio's eyes widened.
"P-please tell us you're joking" said Moxxie.
"Do I look like I'm joking" Nightfright asked him.
The trio instantly became petrified.
ROOOAR!
Suddenly, they all heard a terrible roar in the distance. Nightfright, Scarlett and Shadow all smiled and turned around.
"Right on time" said Nightfright.
They all saw a gigantic nightmare bear rush out of the forest and stand upright. It slashed the ground and roared again, red fire spewing out of its mouth as it roared. It quickly went back down on all fours and approached its master.
"Fireclaw, take our "guests" and show them the way out" said Nightfright.
"Let's go, Shadow. We're done here"
"As you wish, master" said Shadow.
Nightfright glanced at Moxxie, Millie and Loona one last time and smirked.
"See you next week" he said.
The three of them then turned around and left as the Fireclaw grabbed Moxxie and Millie in one claw and Loona in the other. It then walked on two legs to the gate and tossed the trio out, freeing them from the spider silk. The Fireclaw roared again before it turned around, went back down on all fours and walked away. Moxxie, Millie and Loona awkwardly made it back to the van. Millie drove them back to the office with Moxxie right beside her in the front seat while Loona was in the back.
