Moxxie, Millie and Loona soon made it back to the parking lot outside of I.M.P. HQ. They all felt like shit, more specifically Moxxie and Loona.
Millie felt somewhat bad as she feels like she should have stepped in after Moxxie started going off. Moxxie was angry at himself for letting his frustrations get the best of him and causing a massive rift between him and Blitzø's friendship. However, it was Loona that felt the worst. She didn't mean anything she ever said or did to Blitzø. If he didn't adopt her, she'd be dead by now. They all wanted to deeply apologize to Blitzø but knew if what Shadow and Nightfright said was true, then it would fall on deaf ears.
"Do you think he's here" Millie asked.
"I don't even know anymore" Moxxie replied.
"I know that feeling, Moxxie. Everything has gone to shit" said Millie.
They got inside and made it to the same floor as the office, where they spotted Vortex. He spotted them looking all sorts of depressed and he sighed.
"You guys too" he asked them.
"Is he here" Moxxie asked him.
"Yeah, he's here. I don't know what Nightfright or that doppelganger of his did to him, but he is not the same cheerful imp he was" he replied.
Moxxie, Millie and Loona felt like their hearts stopped.
"H-how did he act" Loona asked him.
"He was…cold and pissed. He sounded emotionless, not a single good thing left in him" he replied.
Moxxie, Millie and Loona looked at each other before they knocked and went back into the office.
"Hello? Who the fuck is out there" Blitzø shouted.
"I-it's us, sir" Moxxie replied.
It was silent for a few seconds before Blitzø opened the door to his office.
"There you are. So, how did the "rescue" go" Blitzø asked them.
"Not so great" said Millie.
"Yeah, we got caught" said Loona.
"Caught? Wait a minute…did you sneak in there" Blitzø asked them.
"Yes, sir. We know it sounded risky, but we had to take a chance" Moxxie replied.
"So let me get this straight, Moxx. Don't get me wrong, thanks for actually CARING and coming to get me even though I wasn't there, but you all snuck into Nightfright's base" Blitzø asked him.
"Yes, sir. Again, it was risky but we didn't have any other choice" he replied.
Blitzø just sighed and rolled his eyes.
"You're all lucky that his Living Nightmares didn't kill you on sight" he said.
"In the end we came face with Nightfright, his wife and…" Loona was cut off.
"Shadow, I know" said Blitzø.
The trio glanced at each other before they looked back at Blitzø, who raised an eyebrow.
"Sir, Nightfright told Lucifer everything" said Moxxie.
"We're fucked" said Loona.
"What the fuck are you on about? We're not fucked" said Blitzø.
"What" Moxxie uttered.
"I was there when Nightfright called up Lucifer. Turns out his majesty adores my business idea and even asked why he didn't think of it himself? Nightfright and his wife will come and fetch us when Lucifer and Lilith have time" said Blitzø.
"He never told us that part" said Millie.
"Yeah, he just told us that Lucifer wants us at his palace next week" said Loona.
"Sounds to me like he just wanted to scare the shit out of you" said Blitzø.
"Well, he certainly did a good job" said Millie.
"Anyways…we're done for the day anyways. Let's get out of here" said Blitzø.
Blitzø turned to leave, the others glanced at each other and looked back.
"Sir" Moxxie called out to him.
Blitzø stopped and looked back at him.
"I just…wanna say I'm sorry about what I-" Moxxie was cut off.
"Don't! There's nothing to talk about, Moxxie. Same goes for you too, Loona" said Blitzø.
He turned around and left for the elevator. At that point Moxxie, Millie and Loona realized that they messed up badly. That this wasn't the same Blitzø they were used to.
"Come on! Let's go" said Blitzø.
They quickly followed him without further delay. Blitzø soon dropped Moxxie and Millie off at their place, said goodnight to them and left back to his apartment with Loona. The moment Moxxie and Millie entered their apartment, Moxxie went down on his knees.
"W-what have I done" he uttered.
Millie quickly shut the door and went to comfort him.
"It's alright, Moxxie. It's alright, we…we didn't know it would happen" said Millie.
"How could I be so stupid for saying that to him?! I'm sorry, sir. I'm so sorry" said Moxxie.
Moxxie and Millie both hugged as tears formed in their eyes, realizing their dear friend that they once knew to upbeat and cheerful wasn't there anymore.
Back at Blitzø and Loona's apartment, Blitzø was scrolling through his phone and looking at dumb shit on the web when he got sleepy and decided to call it a night. He was about to go to sleep when Loona came up to him.
"Hey Blitzø" she uttered.
He looked back at her.
"Blitzø, I…about what I said today-" Loona was cut off.
"I already told you Loona, there's nothing to talk about. I'm done making decisions for you. You're an adult now and you can make your own decisions" said Blitzø.
"Oh…OK. Goodnight" she said.
"Goodnight Loonie" said Blitzø.
Blitzø closed his eyes and went to sleep. Loona went inside her room and locked the door. She collapsed on her bed as tears went down her face, realizing that the adoptive father that once cared for her wasn't there anymore.
"I'm sorry…I'm so sorry Dad" she uttered.
Meanwhile…
"And then I had them thrown out" said Nightfright.
"Careful there, my friend. We'll be having them over next week, I don't want you all to start bickering" said Lucifer.
"No need to worry, your highness. Nothing will come to that" said Nightfright.
"What did I say about that whole "your highness" thing" Lucifer asked him.
"I know, I know. I'm just trying to be respectful" he replied.
"I know you are, but you will only address me like that in front of others. During phone calls like this and when you and Scarlett are over, we're friends" said Lucifer.
"Of course, my friend. Do I fetch Stolas and his family for the meeting next week as well" Nightfright asked him.
"No, you only fetch Blitzø and the rest of I.M.P. I'll handle Stolas and his family" he replied.
"You got it" said Nightfright.
"By the way, what happened with that negative doppelganger you made from Blitzø" Lucifer asked him.
"Shadow is currently out on an assignment. Once he finishes it, he'll return back to base. He'll keep watch of the place while we're gone" he replied.
"Nice, nice. What kind of assignment" Lucifer asked him.
"A personal one" he replied.
Meanwhile…
BANG!
Shadow shot and killed Cash Buckzo, Blitzø's father, in his home with a revolver.
"And that's enough of you" said Shadow.
Shadow blew on the smoking gun and put it away in a holster.
"Blitzø is going to thank me once he finds out I put you down like the worthless dog that you are" he said.
Shadow then left as everything went dark except for his red glowing eyes in the darkness.
ONE WEEK LATER…
Moxxie, Millie and Loona hopped that Blitzø would go back to his old self over time, but he didn't. He remained silent, cold and quick-tempered throughout the whole week. As the meeting with Lucifer and Lilith came up, they hoped that once it was over Blitzø would go back to being his old self again.
In Stolas' Palace…
Stolas, Stella and Octavia were sitting in the living room. Octavia was on her phone while he parents watched the TV when Chives walked in.
"Master Stolas, Mistress Stella" he said.
"What is it, Chives" Stolas asked him.
"It's Lucifer, he wants to see you at this palace" he replied.
"What for" Stella asked him.
"It's about…I.M.P" he reluctantly replied.
Stolas, Stella and Octavia's eyes widened as they glanced at each other.
"He knows" Stolas uttered.
Meanwhile…
Blitzø was in his office on his phone when he suddenly heard a tap on his window. He raised an eyebrow as he got up and walked over to the window. He opened to look around and that was when a tentacle with pincers latched onto the side of the wall. It was Nightfright.
"Sorry to startle you like this, Blitzø" he said.
"Oh, it's no problem. Is today the day" Blitzø asked him.
"Yeah, today is the day. Get your employees and daughter and meet me in the parking lot" he replied.
Blitzø smiled and nodded. It was time to stand before Lucifer and Lilith Morningstar, the King and Queen of Hell.
