A white fourteen-year-old teenage girl is wearing a pair of denim jeans with a cat tail poking out, a pair of black trainers, a purple T-shirt, a dark denim jacket, and a pair of fingerless gloves with cat nails. She has a bandage across her nose, is short brown with cat ears on either side of her face, and green cat eyes, sitting at a workbench working on a set of cat-themed gadgets.
"Don't know what more I can do. Boom-box every time I dismantle one of my father's operations, he replaces it with two more operations," replied the girl as she stroked the cat's head with it purring in delight.
["Meow"] replied Boom-Box.
"WHAT? No, I am not changing the subject. We don't need to discuss my lack of social life. I have a perfect social life," said the girl
["Meow"] replied to Boom-Box.
"Okay, fine, it's not like I don't want a social life. Besides, who is willing to want to date a mutant freak with cat-like features?" asked the girl as she worked on a cat's claw.
["Meow"] replied Boom-Box.
"Yes, I know I am a cheerleader, and I would kill for anyone to walk up to me and say hi. I am Bridgett Bradford. Do you like going on a date with me? The problem is I am not interested in quarterbacks; I am more interested in girls," said
[Meow] replied Boom-box.
"Yeah, I know you know I am a lesbian. Just easy for me to come up with some I like and ask them out on a date. I get a case of verbal diarrhoea, and I just run off and hide in the bathroom," said Bridgett
["meow"] replied Boom-Box
"I mean, yeah, I like Jess, and she is cool and smoking hot Native American, but she would never spend time out with some girl like me, the daughter of a failed Z-list martial arts actor turned enforcer for the Purple Dragons," said Bridgett.
[Meow] replied to Boom-Box.
"I am not a chicken furball. What if Jessie and the school treat me differently because I am a member of the LGBT community? You've seen how they treat mutants, like what happened with that mutant clinic run by that human Dr Moira MacTaggart. The Purifiers burned down her clinic, killing all mutants inside," said Bridgett.
[Meow] replied to Bomb-Box.
"I know you won't know how she feels if you don't ask her, but we both know that if my dad finds out, I could threaten her life and that all of her mothers could be in danger," said Bridgett.
[Meow] replied to Bomb-Box.
"I understand I am using this as a reason not to ask her out. "I don't want to be responsible for my future girlfriend's death," said Bridgett.
[Meow] replied to Boom-Box
"Even though I have activities after school with my hero partner Sparrow, I know it is her choice and that I should trust her to support me no matter what," said Bridgett.
[Meow] replied to Boom-Box
"Wonderful idea, Boom-Box. I could ask Sparrow if he could give me some helpful advice on how to ask the love of my life out on a date," said Bridgett.
[Meow] replied to Boom-Box.
"I, too, will ask my partner for advice about asking my crush out," said Bridgett as Boom Box climbed off her lap, walked over to her bowl, and started eating some of his food. Bridget walked over to a wardrobe and opened the door to reveal A pair of leather trousers, a pair of Black boots, a side pack utility belt, a cat tail sticking out the back of trousers, a Black leather jacket, a pink T-shirt, a pair of leather gloves with metal claws, nails, a cat theme mask covering her face, Cat ears, Red hair.
"So what do you think Boom-Bomb is it time I told Sparrow I am a mutant girl with feline manipulation, and I am into girls, and I need his advice to pick up a hot musician girl possibly?" asked Bridgett
[Meow] replied to Boom-Box.
"Yes, I know it's advisable to keep my gender a secret. I don't want people to ship me to some guy. But, I know my dad is hoping to bring me into the Purple Dragons," Bridgett said as she changed into A pair of leather trousers, a couple of Black boots, a side pack utility belt, a cat tail sticking out the back of trousers, a Black leather jacket, a pink T-shirt, a pair of leather gloves with metal claws talons, a cat theme mask covering her face, Cat ears, Red hair.
"It's time for Lynx to prowl the streets," said Bridgett/Lynx.
[Meow] replied to Boom Box.
'Oh yeah, it's a damn cool name, and don't forget who provides your food', Lynx said.
[Meow] replied to Boom-Box.
There will be no HBOMax, which is $9.99 because I cannot afford it.". I'll be back at 0200, and remember to keep quiet. Grandma doesn't know I have a cat in my room, so keep noise to a minimum," said Lynx and opened the window as the cat climbed onto the bed and drifted off to sleep.
Elsewhere at the same time
Keynes residence, Bronx, New York City.
Jessie Keynes sits on her bed playing her guitar with her Kwami Liiri and watches on in delight as she performs a romantic song. After she finishes playing it, she looks at her Kwami.
"So do you think Bridgett will like my debut song Liiri?" asked Jess
"She'll love it, so are you planning to ask her to the Halloween dance next month?" asked Liiri
"Oh god no, she probably has a bunch of jocks at Midtown High already asking her. Besides, she won't want me to take her out, and she probably wouldn't want me to ask her out is the daughter of Charles Bradford, a Hollywood martial arts actor turned Purple Dragon enforcer; I know why she hates her father," Jess said.
"Why does she hate her father?" asked Liiri
"Her mother was about to testify against him and provide enough evidence to the FBI to have her lock him away for a long time. But, instead, he got his boss, who ordered her mother's death. Because of this, students walk on eggshells around her because they are afraid she will cry to her father and have them killed," said Jess.
"You don't think her father would kill you if you broke up with his daughter?" Liiri asked.
"Heck, she doesn't even notice me when I sit right behind her in maths, English and science class, so chances are she doesn't even notice me; my mum is Knightowl, and my mother is Majestic, two members of the Avengers. So I am not worried one bit," said Jess.
"You never know that she might wait for you to ask her out," said Liiri.
"Yeah, but what if she makes fun of me for asking her out in front of the whole school as a lesbian? What if she outs me to the whole school and calls me a dyke?" asked Jess.
"What if she doesn't? What if she says yes?" asked Liiri.
"Then I risk ruining Bridgett's social life by being out as a lesbian in front of the school, her cheerleading team, and any future boyfriends she may get from the regular and average native American student," said Jess.
"You don't know that, Jess. Why don't you learn everything about her routine down and stalk her till she agrees to hang out with you?" replied Liiri
"Oh, because that would be illegal in about fifty states and two hundred countries, not to mention creepy as hell and would make it worse than just being called a Dyke. I'll be called the creepy Dyke stalker," said Jess
"You are worried that you are not worthy to be my miraculous holding like fellow Eagle tribe warriors." enquired Liiri.
"Unlike my mum, she failed in her quest for the Miraculous, so she took on the mantle of Nightowl. I think it is wrong for my grandfather to entrust me with Eagle Miraculous. It should belong to someone more deserving than me, so if I can't even work up the courage to ask the girl I like out because I'm a bumbling idiot around her," confessed Jess.
"It was your destiny to complete the vision to gain my miraculous ability to be its successor holder, and when you are ready to use it, I will be beside you to help wield my powers," said Liiri.
"Thank you, Liiri. I will see if I can capture some bad guys with Lynx and get some dating advice from her." So said Jess as she walked over to her wardrobe and opened it to reveal her Sparrow. She put it on while Liiri watched.
"Why not ask Lynx for dating advice?" asked Liiri
"Excellent idea, Liiri. Asking my partner for advice is an awesome idea; she has no chance of getting it wrong tonight. We finally get out of page 30 of the Daily Bugle and finally be taken seriously as heroes that we might even be up for membership to Justice League or Avengers," said Sparrow.
"You will always be a hero in my books, Jess. So when you can be ready to use my Miraculous full-time, I'll be happy to fight by your side," said Liiri.
It's not worth waiting up for me, Liiri. I'll be back later tonight. So stay out of trouble," said Sparrow. As she opened her bedroom window and climbed onto her fire escape, she picked up her skateboard as she closed her window and climbed down the fire escape.
One hour Later
Rooftop overlooking McDonald's Restaurant.
Bronx, New York City USA
Lynx and Sparrow are on a rooftop with two large McDonald's diet Cokes and a box of doughnuts watching New York City pass them by.
"So far tonight, we have busted three pickpockets and two wannabe car thieves and saved three cats stuck in trees," said Sparrow as she ate a doughnut, followed by drinking some of her drinks.
"Yeah, not bad for the first-hour mind you," said Lynx
"Can I ask you for some dating advice Lynx?" asked Sparrow
"Sure, if you don't mind me asking you for some dating advice, mate," replied Lynx. "You can go first, mate," she replied.
"Okay, here goes there. Someone I want to ask out, but she doesn't notice me, and we share several classes, and I am not sure how to ask her out," said Sparrow.
"Have you tried walking up to her and biting the bullet and asking her out, plain and simple?" said Lynx.
"Easier said than done, partner; she's a cheerleader, one of the most popular girls in my high school, and I am a loser. She would never give me the time of day because if I even tried to talk to her, I get an extreme case of verbal diarrhoea and can't get words out clearly," said Sparrow.
"Damn, so on a scale of one to ten, how hot is this girl you want to ask out?" asked Lynx.
"An easy eleven. The girl in question is the hottest at school," said Sparrow.
"Have you thought about trying old school method of writing it down and sending her a romantic letter and putting it in her locker?" asked Lynx
"Thank you, I just might try that, so what's your love life problem, partner?" asked Sparrow.
"Oh, it's complicated because I am the unattainable short person madly in love with someone I am supposed to look down on but find funny and witty and just not know how to ask her out as I know it could be problems with who my father is and he wouldn't approve of the relationship," said Lynx.
"Have you thought of ignoring your father's wishes and walking up to her and asking to go out?" he asked.
"Let's be honest, like you, and I lack the confidence to ask her out. I am worried she would say, "No, and then the school would ridicule me and call me names.
"Have you thought about doing what you said to me and putting your feelings into a letter and putting it into the girl's locker and sitting back and waiting and seeing what happens and how she replies?" said Sparrow.
"I think I will, and thank you for the advice," said Lynx.
"Hey, no problem; what are best friends for partners, then to give each other dating advice?" said Sparrow.
"So ready to do another patrol of this fine city?" asked Lynx
"Of course, I'm leading the way, partner," said Sparrow as she held her fist out, which was met with a fist bump by Lynx "pound it," they said in unison.
Twenty minutes later
Outside Laird Pawn Shop,
Bronx, New York City
Lynx and Sparrow watch as two fifteen-year-old girls, Keemia Marko and a Black girl wearing Purple Dragons gear, try to break into the Laird Pawn Shop.
"Just our luck first crime after lunch, we have a break-in with the least threatening members of wannabes," said Sparrow.
"Yeah, we should put an end to it before they get inside the store and join the Purple Dragons," said Lynx
"I know I am hoping for something more challenging than a couple of burglars," said Sparrow as she removed a pair of bolas with Sparrow-shaped ends and started swinging them
"We can't be picky now. Can we partner? As it was members of the Purple Dragon, it was more than likely that the burglary was something more than just a burglary. As Lynx removes bolas with cat-shaped heads and swings them around, she says they have a Jericho can; they will likely torch the business.
"We can't all have cat vision now," said Sparrow
"Who needs cat vision?" It's a bright pink neon-coloured Jericho. You could see from Pluto?" joked Lynx
"Yeah, we should stop them before they start a fire. Can you imagine the front page of the Daily Bugle? Two rookie heroes allowed a pair of arsonists to burn down three blocks of property," said Sparrow
"I mean, it would be better than Sparrow and Lynx comedy fails number 52 knocking out a pair of police officers with our Bolas," said Lynx
"Wasn't that comical fail 42? I thought funny fail 52 was when we knocked over a lamppost. It destroyed a police car, of all things," joked Sparrow as she threw her bolas, which was quickly followed by Lynx after the two Bolas then wrapped up the two Purple Dragons, who started struggling in the restraints trying to break as Lynx and Sparrow, join them on the sidewalk.
"Trust me, girlie, you will not break free," said Lynx as she removed a set of Handcuffs with Cat shaped heads and started spinning them around her finger."So what is this, Keemia? Our sixth or one hundred and seventeen times, we caught you trying to complete your gang incision," She asked.
As Keemia struggled in the restrained handcuffs, Sparrow kneeled next to Keemia and placed her handcuffs on her wrist; he demanded, "Just shut up and get this over with". Keemia required, "Just shut up and get it over so".
"So, are you trying to follow in your father's footsteps? You're a gifted student, Annie, so why are you wasting time trying to join a gang of losers" asked Lynx. "Don't pretend you know anything about the 're correctly some rich girl using her white privilege to get anything she wants with just batting an eye or two. Why are people like Keemia and me struggling? I can never hope to apply to university in a million years," said Annie
"Hopefully, this will give you some time to think about your life," said Lynx as she put her cat-shaped handcuffs on Annie'ss wrist. Then, Lynx and Sparrows As police sirens could be heard, they took it as their cue to leave.
Sparrow and Lynx ran across the Roof and heard a burglar alarm a couple of blocks from a jewellery store. After arriving at the scene, they could see Rahzar, six Purple Dragon members, a 15-year-old Latina girl and fifteen-year-old Latina male, and a white girl wearing Purple Dragon gear robbing the store. "I think I need my eyesight tested after this partner because I think I am seeing things", Sparrow replied."Depends. Are you seeing what I am seeing? A human size dog" replied Lynx."Yeah, I am not seeing things then," asked Sparrow."You do not see things, partner? It would surprise me; it's only been a year since aliens invaded our planet, so this could be an alien that looks like a dog, so we should stop them," said Lynx. "Yeah are you going to be okay facing a dog" joked Sparrow. "Oh, I have no problem facing an aggressive dog," said Lynx
Sparrow and Lynx, the land between the van and store entrance as Rahzar and members of the Purple Dragons look at the two heroes blocking their paths.
"So, who the hell are you two supposed to be?" demanded Rahzar
"Superhero, so we would like to stop what you are doing and come along quietly and peacefully," said Sparrow as she removed a flip-out staff and twirled it around as Lynx got into a fighting stance
"That's you, Bridgette, so you're the ones getting tangled up in the Purple Dragons business," asked Rahzar as he caught Lynx's scent.
"Sorry, I don't know what you are talking about, Hairball," replied Lynx.
"It's a waste of time dressing up as Bridgette when you could fulfil your destiny with your father as a Footclan member," said Rahzar.
"My apologies, but I don't even know you, Hairball, and even if I did, I wouldn't dream of turning to a life of crime in a million years," said Lynx.
"Before I looked like this, I was Charles Bradford, your father's enforcer for the Purple Dragons," replied Rahzar
"You're just twice as ugly. This version design is an improvement for you, but that would insult all K9s. It's a shame you couldn't become a cockroach," said Lynx
"See that you have inherited your mother's stubbiness. Bridgette, this is on your head. First, kill her friend, then I will take her to the Shredder. I am sure he will find a way to break her will to serve the Footclan," said Rahzar.
"That is not going to happen, dad. So tell me, is that why you had her killed then, dad?" asked Lynx.
"She should have been loyal to me. But, instead, I did what was needed to ensure Master Shredder's safety and that Purple Dragon," replied Rahzar.
"You are nothing but a bastard. I will make you pay for murdering my mum," said Lynx
Rahzar ran off as Two Purple Dragons charged at her Sparrow; while swinging her Batons, she knocked out Two of the Purple Dragons while two of the Purple Dragons set at Lynx, which she delivered a series of roundhouse kicks, striking out two of the Purple Dragons. Next, the Hispanic girl attacks Sparrow while the white girl attacks Lynx. After a few, they are knocked out by the two heroes. Finally, they place handcuffs on each of the Purple Dragon members.
01:00 am Roof of the apartment.
Bronx, New York City USA
Sparrow is leaning against a wall while Lynx sits on the apartment floor, looking at the city landscape.
"How are you feeling, my partner?" Sparrow asked as she folded her arms.
"I can't believe that I came so close to capturing my father for my mum's murder, but he escaped," said Lynx
In response, Sparrow asked, "So you're Bridgette Bradford from Midtown High School.".
"Yeah, it's true. I am Bridgette Jasmine Bradford, a member of the Midtown cheerleading squad and whose father is now a mutated dog creature working for something called the Footclan", said Lynx
"Damn, and I thought I had trouble," Sparrow replied.
"Trust partner, I'm more worried about really telling the girl I like how I feel about her, knowing that my dad could easily track me down with no problem and use against me to break me to join his Purple Dragon or this Footclan he's a part of," asked Lynx as she removed her mask revealing Bridgette.
"You should respect her decision Bridgette if she were determined to like you for who you are," said Sparrow as she removed her mask, revealing Jessie Keynes as she shits on the floor next to Bridgette.
"How do I have the right to endanger anyone, Jessie? Would you put someone in danger if you had a mortal enemy that would come after someone you cared about to get to you so they could hurt you?" asked Bridgette
"You asked someone whose parents are members of Avengers Knightowl and Majestic, so I can expect enemies of the Avengers wanting to come after me to hurt my parents," said Jessie.
"Am I doing what is right by targeting my father and his Purple Dragon's operations? Will it avenge my mother's death? Can any prison hold what my father is now?" asked Bridgette.
As for Bridgette, I don't have an answer. But, we can always hope for that when we capture him," said Jessie.
Bridgette asked, "How am I even going to send him to the Raft?".
"No, Bridgette, it is. How are we planning to get him sent to the RAFT? We are in this together. We are partners in this, after all." said Jessie
"I can't expect you to put your life in danger dealing with my problem," said Bridgette as she held her hand with Jessie
"Of course, I am willing to put my life in danger. I am a superhero in training, after all, and I want to ask you something severe, Bridgette," asked Jessie as she noticed Bridgette was holding her hand.
"What do you want to ask me, Jessie?" asked Bridgette as she noticed she was holding Jessie's hand and was enjoying being close to Jessie
"As you know, our school is going to be holding a Halloween Dance next month, so I was wondering if you would like to attend with me to the dance," Jessie asked.
"I should tell you something about me, Jessie. These cat features I have aren't a part of my Lynx costume; they are a part of my mutant powers," said Bridgette "so I understand if you don't want to be with a freak of nature," she added as she looked down in disappointment.
"Bridgette, I want to be with you no matter what, so do you want me o take you on a date with me?" asked Jessie
Bridgette leaned in and kissed Jessie square on the lips. "Yes, I will take you to the Halloween school dance. Would you be my girlfriend and partner in crime fighting," asked Bridgette.
"Yes, of course, I will," said Jessie
"We should head home and get some sleep. We have the chance to tour Gloud Pharmaceutical later this morning. So we should get some sleep," said Bridgette.
