Hi, normally I would put this at the end of a chapter. If at all, however I must do two things.
First, I apologise to my few regular readers about the delay of upload.
Second, I am going to have to put grim tails on indefinate hold for a while due to some family and personal issues.
It's been a pleasure.
The bulkhead's engine thrummed as dust flowed and ignited, compensating for the added weight of students heading to Beacon. Two pairs of students in particular where conversing.
The headmasters proposal surprised me, though looking back on it. Putting the strange, borderline monster, in a remote school packed full of trained and very well armed students is actually a very good way of dealing with my potential threat. Though I was warned there would be extra 'homework' required of me. Eugh, homework.
The weight on my head wasn't helping, "Jackl, I know I'm short, but really?" he looked at me, or rather my new mask, this one a dark grey color whith purple accents around the mouth and eyes, made to resemple a calm expression.
"What? You make a good armrest." he spoke as if this fact where plain as day. I sighed and took a step forward, causing his now unsupported weight to come crashing down behind me.
"By the way, thanks for helping with my weapon." Ruby nodded enthusiastically. When I had initially asked for her help with designing my weapon she nearly exploded. Thankfully in a good way, without her help I doubt I would have had much of anything by now.
Instead I have 'Chaos Theory' as I named her. A violet blade just shorter than the length of my arm, its edge being infused with a random dust type each time it's drawn. Decorative runes run along the flat of the twin edged blade, the pointed cross guard adorned with the Hyde gliph.
"No problem! Your ideas where so cool! I'm glad you let me help!" I gould feel Ruby's eyes tracing my weapons movements as it hung at my waist. Yang gave her a disapproving glare, "Ruby, you should really make more friends..." the two began there argument, it lasted until the bulkhead arrived and Yang ditched us with her sudden aunterage of friends, Jackl included.
"So... You gonna stay of the floor or wha-" I was suddenly knocked into by a large quantity of cases as an overpacked luggage cart fell on top of me, soon finding myself joining Ruby, and an alarming amount of dust, on the floor. She laughed at my misfortune.
"What are you doing?" a girls voice wined, she wore a white dress stylised in red. It seemed a mix of style and practicality, though the heels secrainly fell into the former.
"Falling over apparently," I answered, pulling myself and Ruby up off the floor.
The girl seemed to burst a blood vessel, "This is dust!" she snatched a red vile of the stuff from Ruby's hand, "Mined and purified by the Schnee Dust Company!" the girl shook her fist as she spoke
"The who?" my question seemed to stun the taller girl while Ruby laughed at my ignorance to the world, that was until the slight dust in the air caused her to sneeze.
While Ruby and Weise where unharmed from the resulting explosion, I was not so lucky. My aura activated a second too late and I was thrown into one of the nearby trees. Thankfully I only received minor burns to my hands and several bruises as my aura took the brunt of the impact with the tree.
"Ow!" Ruby appeared at my side, her speed is something I really need to get used to, "Are you ok, sorry." I laughed at the look on her face, "Yes, Ruby I'm fine. Just a few bruises." I took her offered hand and winced as she pulled me up. My wounds healed much faster now that I had aura, but they still hurt just as much.
I was on my feet just in time to catch the end of the heiress' rant. Something about the finest dust in the kingdom, though she was soon cut off by another voice.
A girl, roughly the same age as yang, though a completely different style. Black and white instead of orenges and yellows. A black bow atop her long raven hair. I could sware it twitched as she spoke, I must have it the tree harder than I thought.
"The same company known for unfair work policies and shady buisness partners" the heiress quickly stormed off, though not before she became redder than Ruby's cloak, which in itself is so red it appears to glow.
The other girl was gone before Ruby could even say a thank you. "Well now what!?" I waited a few more seconds before moving to the patch of scorched pavement she was currently moping on. "You could get up off the floor and go to the welcoming ceremony, it will probably be starting by the time it takes us to get there."
