Shoto swiped his right hand to freeze an entire villain bot with one swift move. Aisha sprang forward towards the robot at remarkable speed and formed a concentration of psychokinesis that took the shape of a large crescent-like blade as she released it to destroy its face with one powerful swing. She then charged forward in the air with her psychokinesis just as Shoto ran forward underneath the robot to catch up to her.

Many other students saw this as a chance to pass through easily, but the giant immobilizing robot started crashing down on the crowd and blocking their path.

"That's Rozu and Todoroki from Class 1-A pulling ahead to an early lead with a devastating display!" Present Mic announced. "Amazing!"

At the moment, Aisha was still already ahead in front of Shoto. She didn't even turn around to know that Shoto was only a few meters behind her.

Other villain bots confronted the rest of the remaining students. Kirishima, Diana, and Tetsutetsu get crushed underneath the frozen colossal villain robot.

"Look, there are people trapped under here!" Someone shouted.

"Are people seriously gonna die here?" Another student asked.

Suddenly, Kirishima broke through and carried Diana out of the robot.

"WE'RE ALIIIIIIIIIIVE!" Kirishima yelled.

"Kirishima and Asaka from Class 1-A!" Present Mic exclaimed.

"Todoroki, I can't believe you pulled something like that!" Kirishima said. "Geez, anyone but us would've been killed!"

"So, your Quirk is perfect for both offense and defense." Diana smiled. "Very impressive. And thanks for saving me."

"Oh, thanks, D." Kirishima said with a blushing smile.

Then, Tetsutetsu break out using their similar defensive Quirk in a metal-looking appearance.

"Class 1-A really is full of jerks! I'll smash that ice guy when I get my hands on him! You know, anyone other than me would've been killed!" Tetsutetsu shouted.

"Our Quirks are basically the same! How am I supposed to stand out now?" Kirishima asked with a dishearten face.

Katsuki rocketed over the remaining robots with his explosions. But he was quickly followed by Sero and Tokoyami, who also flew over the giant robot. Sero ejected his cellophane tape from his elbow to swing over the robot's head while Tokoyami rode on his Dark Shadow in the air to find a safe place to land.

As many other Class 1-A students fought their way through the villain bots, Izuku found a piece of a destroyed robot from the debris and used it to slash through the robot that was targeting him.

Then, Yaoyorozu created a cannon from her body and began shooting the large remaining villain robots apart, so she can clear out a path for the other students.

Luna, Selene, Diana, Uraraka, and Ashido approached a large canyon with a bunch of footholds and thick tightropes connecting its stones.

"If you all thought the first obstacle was easy, how about this one?" Present Mic asked.

"What did they have time to build this?" Uraraka asked.

"This is my chance to show these wannabe heroes what I can do!" Hatsume exclaimed. "Everyone, observe what my brilliant gadgets can do!"

"Hey, how come you got to bring those in?" Ashido asked.

"Students in the hero course get all kinds of combat training for their Quirks." Hatsume replied. "In order to keep things fair and give us a fighting chance, we're allowed to bring whatever gadgets we want into the game so long as we develop them ourselves! So, sit back and enjoy the show!"

Hatsume fired a grappling hook straight to the stone.

"I hope employers are watching!" Hatsume cried.

Hatsume jumped into the canyon and flew up onto a foothold.

"Talk about annoying." Ashido commented.

"Well, as long as she builds those gadgets herself, I don't see the problem." Selene said with a shrug.

Tsuyu used her Quirk to balance themselves to get across the fissure obstacle. Selene and Luna jumped into the canyon and performed swift acrobatic jumps over each foothold in remarkable speed. Diana manifested her orange aura around herself and flew over the canyon. Iida slid across the ropes with his engines.

Aisha was still in the lead as she engulfed herself in psychokinesis and drifted above the canyon. She glanced behind to see Shoto and Katsuki are closing in on her.

"You suck!" Katsuki yelled at Shoto. He then looked up at Aisha. "And I don't know how you were able to get past me, but I'm coming after you too!"

"Think again!"

Katsuki looked behind in confusion as a grinning Diana was flying past him at an amazing speed. Diana instantly landed on her feet once she made it over the canyon and began running after Aisha.

Shoji and Yuga also went flying over the obstacle while Izuku traversed the tightropes upside-down.

Aisha stopped in her tracks once she approached to the last, dangerous obstacle up ahead.

"And now the final obstacle. Everyone treads carefully. You're stepping onto a minefield!" Present Mic yelled. "If you look carefully, you can see where those little bombs are buried, so keep your eyes on the ground, folks! By the way, those land mines were designed for the game, so they might be loud and flashy, but they're not all that powerful. Just enough to make you wet your pants!"

Can Present Mic be any more annoying? Aisha thought. She looked down at the bombs that were buried in the ground. Not only this obstacle is easy for me to get over, but it's certainly a disadvantage for the others since they will have to avoid getting hit by these mines.

Aisha submerged herself with psychokinesis and soared over the buried bombs. But then, Shoto was approaching to her. The two stared at each other competitively.

Then, Bakugo and Diana stopped between them as they took the lead. Bakugo looked at Shoto and Diana looked at Aisha with determination.

"I've got you! Bastard, your declaration of war was to the wrong person!" Bakugo shouted.

"Sorry, Aisha. But I'm in it to win it!" Diana yelled.

Bakugo, Shoto, Aisha, and Diana started fighting each other for the first place.

"Two new students take the lead! The crowd is going nuts! There's nothing they love more than an upset!" Present Mic exclaimed.

Other students were racing through the minefield. Selene was trying to find her way past the buried bombs halfway through the obstacle. Tenya tried to cross the field with his speed and ended up getting himself barraged and hit with small mine detonations. Juzo Honenuki and Ibara Shiozaki from Class 1-B began to catch up to the tandem competing for first place.

Luna finally reached to the minefield and halted herself to watch several students flying in the air by the small mine detonations. She then looked forward and noticed that Shoto, Katsuki, Diana, and Aisha are closing in on the finish line, but they're struggling for first place. Luna's eyes moved quickly towards Izuku, who was digging up the mines from the ground with the robot piece.

What in the world is he doing with those mines? Luna thought.

Izuku started gathering the mines into a pile without detonating them.

Wait a minute! I know exactly what he's doing! Luna thought with wide eyes. Very smart, Midoriya! I better act fast too!

Luna took a racing stance and dashed past the bombs with unobserved speed.

Izuku finally collected the mine detonations and jumped shield-first into the pile that sent him flying with a massive explosion.

Everyone widened their eyes in a mix of shock and surprise when they saw Izuku propelling himself above their heads from the huge explosion. But they paid no attention to Luna, who was running past them while avoiding the hidden mine detonations in an undetected speed.

"Whoa! What was that? That was way more powerful than it should've been! Whatever the case, Class 1-A's Izuku Midoriya is suddenly in hot pursuit of first place! Scratch that! The lead is his!" Present Mic exclaimed.

Shoto, Bakugo, Diana, and Aisha stopped fighting just in time to watch Izuku flying past them all the way into first place.

"Midoriya?! No way!" Diana yelled with wide eyes.

Diana surrounded herself with orange aura and flew faster to catch up to Izuku. Aisha followed after Izuku with extra bursting speed of her psychokinesis.

"Deku, what the hell do you think you're doing, huh?!" Bakugo yelled as he boosted himself towards Midoriya.

Shoto froze an icy path on the ground in front of him to chase after his competitors.

"Look! Bakugo, Todoroki, Rozu, and Asaka are no longer fighting each other!" Present Mic exclaimed. "They're chasing Midoriya! That's what having a common enemy will do!"

Izuku finally caught up with front runners, but he started losing momentum as he approached the last leg of the race when Katsuki, Shoto, Diana, and Aisha were charging forward to pass him for first place. Izuku then stood on both Shoto and Katsuki's shoulders just before Luna was caught up to them. He slammed the robot shield into the ground, creating another explosion that propelled him forward yet again. That mine detonation exploded around in front of Shoto, Katsuki, Aisha, and Diana in a flash.

Unknown to them, Luna ignited her hands with pink energy and then blasted herself in a somersault style above the smoke that engulfed Shoto, Katsuki, Diana, and Aisha at amazing agility.

Izuku landed on the ground safe and sound and began running his way to clear the minefield in an instant. Luna then sprinted straight close to Izuku at normal speed. Izuku looked at Luna with a surprise look and then let out a smile as they both entered the stadium together.

"Midoriya has now zoomed past his classmates from 1A! I don't believe it! He cleared the minefield in an instant! Then, Yagi came flying out of the mine smoke and zoomed her way to Midoriya! Eraser Head, your students are amazing! What the heck are you teaching them?" Present Mic asked.

"This has nothing to do with me. Each of them is powered by their own drive to succeed." Aizawa replied.

"There you have it! Eraser Head is a terrible teacher!" Present Mic yelled.

"I'm what?" Aizawa asked in annoyance.

Izuku and Luna kept running each other through the hall inside the stadium while Shoto, Aisha, Diana, and Katsuki kept moving forward behind Izuku and Luna.

Izuku and Luna finished the race. Todoroki followed in the second place and Katsuki in third right after him, leaving Aisha and Diana enter the stadium in fourth and fifth place.

"Who knew the first round of the Sports Festival would be this exciting! The first two people to make it back to the stadium are the first-place winners! Izuku Midoriya and Luna Yagi are our champion!" Present Mic cheered.

Izuku and Luna glanced around the cheering audience as they looked at the teachers clapping for their victory. All Might was giving them a proud smile. Izuku clenched his fist and poured out tears coming from his eyes with a triumphant smile. Luna sent her parents a smiling wink, which Tarot Chariot returned as she was so proud of her daughter.

"This Sport Festival is about aiming for the top, even if it means defeating his friends and classmates. Popularity plays a huge part in a hero's career, so they have to want to be the best." All Might said to his wife. "It's a bloodthirsty world. At your core, you want to help others. That's why I chose young Midoriya. But in all honesty, I also thought his selflessness could be his weakness."

"But it turns out you was worried over nothing. Midoriya and Luna are strong fighters." Tarot Chariot said with a smile.

"Still, young Midoriya maybe needs to cool it with the waterworks." All Might added.

"I think Midoriya and Luna's stocks are about to go up." A male student said.

"Not so fast. He's still an unknown since we have no idea what his Quirk is." Another male student said as they started muttering about business. "And she cleverly managed to tie with him with amazing speed through her Quirk."

"Business course students. Some things never change." All Might muttered as he and his wife looked down at the three talkative students below the teachers' stand.

Diana, Aisha, and Selene instantly ran over to congratulate Luna for her win.

"Luna, congratulations on winning first place!" Selene said.

"Yeah, you earned it fair and square." Aisha said with a small nod.

"Thanks, girls." Luna smiled. "I can't believe you and Diana were at it with Bakugo and Todoroki."

"Hey, it's like what I told Aisha. I'm in it to win it." Diana said with a grin. She crossed her arms over her chest and pointed her thumb at Katsuki. "You should have seen the look on Bakugo's face though!"

Luna, Selene, and Aisha directed their heads at Katsuki, who was looking pissed off from coming in third place.

After the rest of the students finally arrived through the stadium, the rankings were listed with Aoyama coming in 46th place.

Then, Midnight stood currently on the stage.

"Only the top 46 will advance! Don't be depressed if you didn't make the cut! We've prepared other opportunities for you to shine. All right, let's start the second event!" Midnight announced.

The screen showed the second event of the Sports Festival: Cavalry Battle. Everybody looked confused as they wondered why the tournament involved with a team activity that focused on individual playing.

"Cavalry Battle? I'm terrible at those." Kaminari said.

"I'll explain. There will be groups of 2-4 people with 3 horses and a rider. Each student has been assigned a point value based on the results from the obstacle course." Midnight explained.

"So that means that each team will have a different point value based on which students are on it." Uraraka said to Mina.

"Maybe you should shut up and let me explain it to you!" Midnight shouted angrily as she cracked her whip to shut up the chatting student. She quickly composed herself to continue explaining the rules. "Point values go in implements all of 5. And the point value assigned to the first-place contestant is...10,000,000!"

Izuku and Luna's faces turned pale.

Really? Shinso thought.

In other words, you take down their team... Hatsume thought.

You'll win the Cavalry Battle and take the lead yourself. All students from different classes thought in unison.

All students from Class A through K looked at the terrified Izuku and the flabbergasted Luna with their glowing red eyes.

"That's right. It's survival of the fittest with a chance for those at the bottom to overthrow the top!" Midnight smirked.

Izuku and Luna then found themselves surrounded by towering demonic eyes.
