In case you guys are wondering why I shipped Mr. Compress with Lady Nagant, that's because not only they appeared to be at the same age but also because of their personalities. I know that on surface, a serious and fearless woman like Lady Nagant is most likely not going to have patience or tolerance on someone like Mr. Compress, who is a talkactive arrogant guy that love to be flashy and entertaining as many times as possible. However, I believe that it's the clash of their personalities that going to make them a great couple. As for the ones that happened to be male villains x female heroes, they didn't happen without reasons. For example, I'm shipping Kurogiri with Midnight not only because I'm a fan of CloudNight shipping but to play with what left of Oboro inside of Kurogiri as well. If seeing Aizawa and Present Mic can barely help Oboro to get out of his persona as Kurogiri, then stepping up a game by adding Midnight into the picture can definitely help the situation a little more by the very least for sure, I think. And yes, I know Izuku's harem is now quite big and that because I cannot help but thinking more of the other shpping related to Izuku out there! To be exact, I don't even know that should I stop it at just the "Twelve Wives" or should I add more. But for the time being, I think I will settled with the "Twelve Wives" here. As for why I decided to do Izuku X Mount Lady, I wanted to piss Bakugo off at the fact that his older female cousin has become one of Izuku's women. Yes, I know about an AU where Mount Lady and Bakugo are cousins of Blamed Orange and I really like it. Plus, I've seen two fanfiction stroies about them are being each other's cousins called Awkward Encounter and Substitute Troubles of EverlastingEvanescene before and they looked quite interesting and nobody has ever say anything negative about them. So I guess it won't be wrong for me to add this into my Marvel Villain Deku story too. As for the whole shipping Camie with Katsuki, the reasons are because I like them being together and the fact that his mother is most likely going to play favoratism and being protective toward Camie and may even openly call her as her future daughter-in-law when they finally ended up becoming a couple. But back to Izuku's harem, I know that I divided the harem into two category and that is because there are plenty of things in the air at the moment. So the "Twelve Wives" is still 50/50 at best. But by the very least, Ochaco and Toga will be part of the harem. One more thing, should I change the name of the story from New Middle Ages to New Age of Ignorance? I asked this already to one of the readers who PM to me and he/she said that I should because it sounds a lot more interesting and personally, I believe that. However, I wanted to make it fair by using a voting poll. So yeah, you guys can go to my profile page and vote what should be the name of this story between New Middle Ages and New Age of Ignorance. As for how long this voting poll will last, I didn't think yet. So give me sometime to think about that.

Chapter 2 The Crossroad of Destiny
After went back to sleep after have a glass of water, Izuku later gets up in the morning after, have breakfast and get ready for school. To him, it's nothing but another day of suffering for being quirkless. Like the other days before, he is subjected to constant bullying, insults, beatings, and being humiliated again and again. Today is basically no different. Even more, his old friend, Katsuki Bakugo, burnt his notebook, tossed it out of the window and threatened him not to apply to U.A, the hero school that he always wanted to attend. Later while walking back home, Izuku accidentally meet All Might, who saved him from being taken over by a Slime Villain. In a desperate effort to get the answer about the question that he always has in mind, he latched on to All Might's leg while he's taking off. Having no other choice, All Might landed on the rooftop. Izuku then asked him a question. Asking that is it possible to become a hero without a quirk. After thinking for a moment, All Might suddenly transformed into a skeletal man and then lift his shirt up to show him the scar he received from one of his battles along with telling him how he got it in the first place. After that, he finally gives him the answer of the question he asked earlier after he lets go of his shirt, covering the scar on his body once again.
"No, young man. I don't think that is possible. After all, heroes need to put their lives on the line everyday to protect the others."Said All Might
"But what about Tony Stark? As in... Iron Man! You heard of him, right?"Asked Izuku and when he mentioned the famous armored hero from America, All Might's face becomes even grimmier than before. Like the other pro-heroes around the world, he has heard of how Tony Stark, the CEO of Stark Industries, escaped from being captive of the terrorists in Afghanistan by inventing a highly advanced suit of armor. And once he returned to the U.S, he invented more armors for himself and use them to become a hero known as Iron Man, thus inspiring many people who lacked quirks around the world to become like him in the process.
"I would not recommend you to take the same path like him, kid. While it is true that he has proven the world wrong, he is also spreading a very dangerous idea!"Said All Might
"Dangerous idea?"Asked Izuku
"While he has proven it to world that someone who doesn't have a quirk can become a hero, his actions of building and using those armors clearly said it out loud that only those who are wealthy enough and smart enough can afford those armors. Even more, the specs about his armors have been stolen from his company some years ago. And after that, new villains equipped with suits of armors similar to Iron Man began to appear to wreck havoc on the streets. You know about the defeat of the Squadron Supreme at the hands of two armored villains known as Whiplash and Crimson Dynamo years ago, right?"Asked All Might, referring to how two quirkless villains in highly advanced armors known as Whiplash and Crimson Dynamo, who've shown themselves to the world by defeating a group of American heroes called the Squadron Supreme, consisting of Nighthawk, Doctor Spectrum, Hyperion, Power Princess, Speed Demon and Nuke. It won't be until Iron Man arrived at the scene in a new big suit of armor and defeat both of them and have them turned over to the police officers.
"Also, the chance of finding a wealthy patron to finance is 50/50 at best because not everyone is willing to patronize someone with such an idea, considering it to be... not incline with how traditional pro-heroes work."Said All Might
"Ooh... I... I see..."Said Izuku as he's looking down to the ground. Seeing the boy is such a condition, All Might attempted to cheer him by telling him that he can become a police officer when he grown up. And also tell that while it is not wrong to dream, he also has to be realistic. Once the conversation ended, All Might reactivated his quirk and left, leaving Izuku all alone on the rooftop. Unbeknownst to All Might, his words shattered Izuku's dream. And plus with all of the mistreatments that he received ever since he has been identified as quirkless, he has had enough! If his idol doesn't even believe that he can be a hero and even said that Iron Man is the source of the rise of the new type of villains who relied on highly advanced armors, then what's the point of trying to become one anymore? After standing alone for a while, Izuku decided to return to his apartment. Once he's back, he gets into his room and write down a note, telling his mother that he cannot take it anymore due to the sufferings he received everyday ever since he has been diagnosed as quirkless. Once done, he left and get on the rooftop of the apartment that he lives, deciding to "take a swan dive off the roof" like his old friend "advised" him to do. But just as soon as he jumped, something else caught his right hand. When he opened his eyes, he found that one of his hands is clinging on to a sword. One that is flying nonetheless!
"What the-"Said Izuku but before he could finish, the sword suddenly takes him to somewhere in the city. Once in the city, the sword landed on a top of a three-story building. When Izuku's feet touched the ground, he immediately lets go of it while taking a few steps back. After a moment of nothingness, the sword turned itself into a vertical position and stab itself onto the ground of the rooftop. Then, it begins to glow in blue color and then an intangible man in medieval armor and cape who appeared to be made out of the blue light sprout out from the sword. When Izuku looked closer, he remembered that the figure before looked exactly like the knight who is riding a winged horse in his dream!
"Izuku Midoriya, my descendant."Said Percival
"I... am... your descendant?"Asked Izuku
"Yes, you are. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Sir Percival of Scandia, the first Black Knight and the first wielder of the Ebony Blade."Said Percival
"The what?!"Asked Izuku
"The Ebony Blade, the mystical sword of great power that Merlin and I forged from the Starstone, is now yours. As the descendant of my lineage with noble heart, you are worthy to wield the sword."Said Percival after he finished, Izuku is stunned and don't know what to do but looking at the ghost of the man that claimed to be his ancestor in disbelief. A few minutes later, he blurted out a big laugh!
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!"Laughed Izuku
"Did I say something entertaining?"Asked Percival, feeling mocked a little by his green-haired descendant.
"Is this some sort of a joke? I was about to leave this cruel world full of hypocrites that called themselves heroes behind! But then you suddenly appeared, saved my life and declared yourself as my ancestor! If this is not a joke, then I don't know what it is!"Said Izuku
"Then what do you think this whole situation is, boy?"Asked Percival
"Some sort of a joke pulled by a bunch of pranksters who have nothing else to do?"Asked Izuku in the sarcastic tone. Instead of continuing the conversation, Percival retreats back into the sword. Suddenly, the sword flies up into the air slowly and then plunge itself toward Izuku!
"AAAAHHH!"Screamed Izuku and since the distance is too short, the sword is coming in very fast! But when the blade made contact with his chest, it did not pierce him. When he opened his eyes, he found that the blade itself barely penetrated through his skin. Then, sword flies off and stab itself onto the ground before him once again. Then, Sir Percival comes out to continue the conversation with his descendant.
"As the descendant of my lineage who is chosen to be the wielder of the Ebony Blade, the Ebony Blade itself cannot harm its own wielder no matter what."Said Percival as he's looking at the trembling Izuku before him.
"So I will ask you once again. What do you think this whole situation is, boy?"Asked Percival as he's looking at the green-haired boy before him, who is now convinced of his words after the stunt he just pulled earlier.
"You... are my ancestor... and..."Said Izuku as he's still continue to trembling after what just happened.
"And?"Asked Percival
"And that... I am your descendant. And that... you're offering me... this sword... to wield..."Said Izuku as he's slowly to trembling less and less, beginning to recover from what just happened earlier.
"Correct. Now, will you, Izuku Midroiya, accept the Ebony Blade and become the new Black Knight?"Asked Percival and when he said, Izuku begins to think. With the Ebony Blade, he can become a hero like he always wanted to be! However, that will also mean he have to join people who are nothing but hypocrites, who will most likely only respected him because he has what it takes to become a hero like them. So would he be happy if he became a hero? Certainly not. After all, he experienced some of the most extreme negative aspects of the Hero Society himself throughout the most of his life. This is greatly disturbing to him and making him feel uneasy. And now, with the arrival of the Ebony Blade before him, Izuku's uneasiness within him has reached the level of personal crisis because the more he thinks of the sufferings he went through, the less he wanted to become a hero. So should he pick up the Ebony Blade and the name of the Black Knight and use them to become a hero like he always wanted to be or should he reject it? If he rejected it, his ancestor will surely be upset about this and will most likely continue pestering him for sure. However, after being rejected by All Might and the sufferings he went through, he no longer has the desire to become a hero as well. But then, an idea suddenly popped up in his head! He can use the powers of the Ebony Blade to defeat the pro-heroes, the "true lords" of the Hero Society, and replace this society corrupted by hero worship with something else. But before he can think of what could be the replacement, he suddenly heard the sounds of fighting down below in the alley on his right. He quickly rushes to the edge of the building and see a group of men in black clothing similar to the ninjas are cornering a young woman with long black hair and tan skin in white shirt, blue jacket, grey pants and white shoes with a black backpack on her back. Judging from her appearance and look, she is most likely a few years older him.
"Surrender, Li Lanying. And we will take you back to the Ten Rings Sect alive!"Said Field Leader as he and his men are getting closer to their target, the young Chinese-Uzbek woman named Li Lanying, who appeared to be very tired right now. That means she must have been struggling against these guys for a while now.
"Force me if you guys can!"Said Lanying and she gets into the fighting stance. Seeing that she is not going to surrender anytime soon, the leader of the men in black clothing has no choice to give order to his subordinates to take her down.
"Bring me her corpse."Said Field Leader and with that, all of his five men jumped forward, ready to strike her down with the short swords in their hands. But before they could reach her, Izuku suddenly jumped down before them with the Ebony Blade in his right hand and unleash the crescent-shaped orange energy blade on all five of them, cutting each of them in half. His unexpected arrival and action shocked both Li Lanying and the leader of the men in black clothing alike!
"Are you okay?"Asked Izuku after he turned around to look at her. Before she could reply, she sees the leader of the enemies has seized his chance and attack as soon as her savior has turned his back on him. Without giving a reply, she pushed him out of the way and summon some sort of glowing blood red at her right fist and punch at the leader's face, sending him flying straight out from the alley and hit the wall on the opposite of the street, thus scaring and alerting the passing people in the process. Knowing that she needs to leave, she pulled out the brown flute from her backpack and throw it into the air. Then, she grabs Izuku by his collar.
"Hey! What the-"Said Izuku but before he could protest any further, she jumps into the air and landed on the flute, which is somehow magically floating in the middle of the air!
"Hold on tight!"Said Lanying and with that, she rides the flute into the sky with her savior in her hands.
"AAAAAHHHHHH!"Screamed Izuku as he's holding onto Li Lanying's right arm tightly. After flying for 5 minutes straight, she landed in the abandoned construction site and let go of Izuku. After he breathed for a moment, he bombarded the young Chinese-Uzbek woman with a lot of questions.
"Wow! That was so cool! Did you have two quirks or something?! I mean, you were using some sort of glowing fist at first! And then, you suddenly were capable of flight somehow! And who were those people that were trying to kill you back then?! Oh my goodness, I just killed them all! Oh man! Sir Percival is going to be so mad at me with this! What should I-"Said Izuku and with that, Li Lanying slaps him on the face to make him stop.
"Will you stop doing that?! Do you wanted more of those men in the black to find us?!"Asked Lanying as she's staring at Izuku furiously.
"I'm sorry. It's just... everything happened so fast!"Said Izuku and with that, Li Lanying feels a bit bad for what she just did.
"I know. Just... calm down. And I'm sorry I slapped you but I already have had enough troubles in one day and I have no interest of getting more troubles for the rest of the day."Said Lanying and suddenly, her stomach groaned, indicating that she is hungry at the moment.
"And thanks to those guys earlier, I didn't even have lunch yet."Said Lanying and with that, she turned around and heading toward the abandoned construction site's exit.
"Hey, wait! I can take you somewhere to eat if you-"Said Izuku as he's running after her. But before he could finish, she turned around and stop him.
"No need. All I have to do now is to find my fiance's place. By then, I'm most likely going to have my belly filled. Also, don't hold the sword around randomly if you're not going to use it."Said Lanying and when she said that, Izuku suddenly remembered that he is still holding the Ebony Blade in his right hand! But that also when he happened to realize that he doesn't have a scabbard to keep it as well! Suddenly, his stomach also groaned as well. Just like her, Izuku is now getting hungry as well.
"Hungry too?"Asked Lanying as she's turning around to face him.
"Yeah..."Said Izuku as he's rubbing the back of his head with his left hand as his cheeks are turning red a little. And after thinking for a while, the young Chinese-Uzbek woman decided to allow him to come with her.
"Fine! But I'm merely doing this to repay you after you saved me earlier, got it?"Asked Lanying
"Thank you, Miss... uhh..."Said Izuku and that is when he remembered that he didn't get to know her name yet.
"My name is Li Lanying. And you are?"Asked Lanying
"Izuku Midoriya."Said Izuku as he's extending his left hand out for her to shake. After a brief moment of nothing, she grabs his hand and shake it for a few times. After that, she lets go.
"Now, come along, kid! My fiance is waiting for me."Said Lanying as she's walking out of the construction site with Izuku's following her. Unbeknownst to both of them, a woman with short dark blue and pink two-tone hair and angled eyebrows in a dark sleeveless dress, light boots and a metallic utility belt is looking at them through the scope from the extended rifle from her right elbow from the rooftop of the building that located a few kilometers away from where they are. She is none other but the former pro-hero turned villain known as Lady Nagant. Once spot them leaving the abandoned construction site, she contacts someone through the earpiece on her left ear by touching it with her left hand.
"Kurogiri. This is Lady Nagant. I've found them."Said Lady Nagant
Back to Li Lanying and Izuku, who are now walking together to find Li Lanying's fiance's location. And due the fact that Izuku didn't have a scubbard to keep the Ebony Blade, he willingly lets Li Lanying to carry the sword for him by having it hiding between her back and her backpack. Of course, it didn't help much since the sword itself is quite long. But luck is on their side because the street itself and both sidewalks are largely empty with most cars are just being parked and not so many people in sight on the sidewalks. As for some people who are still walking on the street, they're either too preoccupied with their own businesses or that they simply thought that the sword itself is fake like the ones being used in TV shows. As they are walking, Li Lanying feels like they are being followed and glance at whatever that is following her and the boy. That's when she found more of the men in black clothing are after them by running and jumping from rooftop to rooftop. Out of nowhere, she turned around, grab Izuku by surprise and rush into the alley on her left.
"What happened?! Why did you just-"Said Izuku but then, she grabs him at his mouth, silencing him.
"We're being followed."Whispered Lanying as she's slowly alking backward whie still looking around cautiously. However, she then found that the alley she and Izuku just get into happened to be a dead end when her back touched the wall. Now, it's either fight and win or fight and die. But before she could even get to hand the Ebony Blade to Izuku, a swirl of dark fog suddenly formed before them. Before both of them could react, it reshaped into a form of a man in a suit similar to the one the butlers usually wear and brown shoes with a tie and metal brace around his collarbone with his head and his hands are completely covered in dark purple mists. He is Kurogiri, the second-in-command of the organization known as the League of Villains.
"Hello, Miss Li and young friend. My name is Kurogiri. And I am here with an order to escort you to meet your fiance."Said Kurogiri and with that, he reshaped himself back into his portal form, which is a swirl of dark fog. In need of a way to escape the pursurers, Li Lanying and Izuku decided to take the chance and enter the portal. Once they entered, Kurogiri transported himself back to where he came from as well. By the time the men in black clothing arrived in the alley, they all are gone. And that alone left them dumbfound.
"They disappeared! It was like they vanished in the face of the Earth!"Said Man in Black Clothing #1
"How did they do that?! None of us see her jumped out from this place!"Asked Man in Black Clothing #2
"We have to keep looking! The Grand Elder will not spare our lives if we cannot eliminate her!"Said Man in Black Clothing #3 and with that, they all immediately jumped back onto the rooftops and spread out to find where Li Lanying is. Unbeknownst to them, she and her savior, Izuku Midoriya, are now at the hideout of the League of Villains, which is known as the Bar with No Name.
Meanwhile, at the Bar with No Name...
"So... you're my fiance, Tomura Shigaraki?"Asked Lanying as she's looking at the man with bluish grey hair with the hand mask on his face in black shirt, black pants and red sneakers with Izuku.
"And you're the lady who Sensei betrothed me with?"Asked Tomura as he's looking at her intently while sitting on one of the chairs before the counter. Then, Kurogiri walks from behind the purple curtain and serve a dish of finger cheese sandwiches and two glasses of iced tea to them. Then, both of them grab some sandwiches and begin to eat while also looking at the other occupants in the bar. Aside from Shigaraki and Kurogiri, Izuku recognized Lady Nagant, the pro-hero turned villain, who has been leaning against the wall from the opposite side of the bar while also looking back at him, Li Lanying, Shigaraki and Kurogiri at the same time. The other occupant in the bar that he and Li Lanying spotted is a humanoid chameleon in black bodysuit, black sneakers and a headset, who is sitting near Shigaraki while having a mug of root beer. As both newcomers are enjoying their meal, a voice suddenly comes from the nearby monitor with the word "SOUND ONLY" on it, who both Li Lanying and Izuku assumed to be the one Shigaraki called Sensei.
"Yes, she is the one, Tomura. Her father and I knew each other a long time ago."Said Sensei
"All For One, I presumed?"Asked Lanying as she's turning around to look at the screen while still chewing the sandwich in her mouth.
"Indeed. Now, what brought the daughter of the one and only Mandarin to Japan?"Asked All For One
"My father... is no more..."Said Lanying with bitterness and anger in her voice, indicating that something bad must happened to her father.
"And your brother?"Asked All For One
"Most likely hanging out with his friends from the K'un Lun Sect."Said Lanying as before drink a glass of iced tea. Once she finished, she puts the nearly empty glass down.
"As for why I'm here, I'm seeking refuge with my fiance with hope that you will honor the alliance you have with my father to reclaim the Ten Rings Sect from the usurper."Said Lanying
"Of course, I will. However, I am still in the process of rebuilding and retaking what I lost after my last encounter with All Might."Said All For One and when Izuku heard All Might's name, that got his attention.
"You know All Might, sir?"Asked Izuku
"Yes, I know him personally."Said All For One
"And just so you know, it was not a coincidence that Kurogiri found both of you at the same time. While I gave him an order to go search for you, Sensei told him and Lady Nagant over there to look for my fiancee as well after he received a call from an old friend some days ago."Said Tomura
"Wait! What did you want to find me for? What can I do for you? I don't even have a quirk!"Said Izuku
"Well, you have this."Said Tomura as he's pulling a burnt notebook with the number 13 on it out by simply using two fingers and a thumb on his right hand and show it to him and Li Lanying.
"My notebook! You found it?!"Asked Izuku
"Yes, I did when I was out for a walk. And when I found how much useful it could be for my cause. I decided to send Kurogiri out to find you."Said Tomura as he's giving Izuku back his notebook.
"So with Miss Li here is taking refuge with us. That means she already decided to join us, the League of Villains. But what about you, boy? Would you like to join us?"Asked All For One and that's when Izuku begins to think. For throughout of his life, everyone, except his mom, ridiculed him for wanting to become a hero despite being quirkless. Heck, even All Might told him that he cannot become a hero and even so far to say that a quirkless hero like Iron Man is creating more problems with his armors by saying that it is because of him that there are quirkless armored villains like Whiplash and Crimson Dynamo in the first place. And when he was about to end his own life, a mystical sword appeared out of nowhere with the ghost of his ancestor, Sir Percival, telling that he has a noble heart and is worthy of becoming its next wielder. However, he has no desire to become a hero anymore. Not after what All Might said to him and the sufferings that he went through that made him realize how much corrupted the Hero Society is. If he decided to become a hero, then he would be nothing but a hypocrite and that the only reason the other heroes and the rest of the society will respected him is because he managed to become successful like them. And now, here is the chance to correct what went wrong. With an offer to join a group of villains who is being respectful and seeing the value in him and with the Ebony Blade in his hands, how can he said no to this?!
"I'm in."Said Izuku after he thought it through.
"I'm glad to hear that. So what will be your code name, boy?"Asked All For One and then, Izuku thinks back to the title that Sir Percival has used when he was alive.
"Black Knight. Call me Black Knight."Said Izuku
"Welcome to the League of Villains, Black Knight."Said All For One
Author's note: And just like the first chapter, I hope you all like how everything went in this chapter. And as promised, I added more elements from Marvel into this chapter with Iron Man, Whiplash, Crimson Dynamo and the Squadron Supreme being mentioned during the conversation between All Might and Izuku and the apperance of the Ten Rings Sect. Yes, I based it from the Ten Rings in the MCU. But no, it's not the terrorists' organization like in the MCU. It's one of the Great Seven Sects instead. As for what the Great Seven Sects are, they are the sects that are the results of the combination between the Seven Capital Cities of Heaven in Marvel with the Four Major Sects from the webnovel/manhua called Against The Gods. Yes, I read its manhua version and I like it pretty much. And does this mean cultivation existed in this universe alongside with magic and quirks? Yes, yes it does. Well, in my personal view, I think I can considered what Iron Fist can do as a form of cultivation as well. So yeah, that means qi manipulation and cultivation are basically the one and the same to me. Now, to the other topic in Marvel, specifically about Iron Man and his armors. The reason why I chose Iron Man is because he has been described as a bad example of a quirkless hero like Yarheeguy said. Yes, I read his MHA watches the MCU and his comments on some other stories such as MHA learns from the MCU of Infamoustrixter. But back to the topic about Iron Man, the reason Tony Stark managed to become a successful hero is because he has money to buy enough resources and equipment that he needed to build his armors. However, whlile that alone managed to proven that while the quirkless people managed to become heroes, it also said clearly out loud that only those who are rich are capable of becoming heroes. Even more, it also means that his techs can be easily stolen and used by some villains as well. And when the specs about his armors are stolen and the villains who are equipped with his techs suddenly appeared a short while later, the public and the other heroes will blamed him for giving them more troubles. So basically, Iron Man solved a problem by creating another problem. As for the Great Seven Sects, I'm planning on covering about them later because I still need to find the right moment to show the main antagonists of the story to you readers. Not to mention creating the fateful encounters that Izuku is going to have with the women who are going to end up joining his harem. And yes, Li Lanying will eventually become the Mandarin after she reclaimed the Ten Rings Sect and avenged her father, the previous Mandarin. As for who her brother is, we all know who he is from one of the new trailers about the upcoming MCU movies. Also, yes. I really added one of those underlings from the U.S.J Arc named Invisible Wall into this chapter. I added him because I like his appearance and I planned to have him to work with Izuku later on when this story reached its own U.S.J Arc.
