As the first leapt , He ducked and rolled to the right , Studying them as he leapt over the second and jumped to the left of a third that tried to strike at him .

Making his way to one of the connecting bridges that lead to the tower at the centre of the ruin , Erdine stood at the ready as he began to slowly walk across the bridge , Blade at the ready for anything that might come .
Absentmindedly, He took notice of the group making their way slowly to the top of the battle worn cliffside , Catching sight of a full head of red hair that was ascending the cliff face alongside the blonde he had helped earlier.
Making sure to shimmy around a massive hole in the bridge , No doubt from something massive colliding with its structure , He finally made it to the centre of the structure .
Spying for any relics , Chess pieces apparently , There was an assortment of random pieces left .
' Alright ... lets go ... this one ' Erdine smiled as he went to pick up a lone white Castle piece , Yet froze as his fingers neared it ' Something isn't right '

' Is that a fucking dragon ' Erdine hissed as he quickly looked around from any cameras , Luckily for him , It looked like the cameras within had been disrupted due to the damage the beast had done to the structure of the ruin .
' Wyvern actually, Doesn't look very mature ... I'd say it's quite young actually ' The Greater will appraised the creature as it arched its neck and bellowed to the skies ' It's small enough to get inside , I'd get to a better place to conduct battle '
' Right ... ' Sending his Nagakiba and the Moonveil to his inventory , He withdrew his dragon communion seal , Grasping it in his left hand as the wyvern lowered it's head to look at him , One of its arm reaching into the doorway to pull away the brick , Widening the passage as it stumbled forward with a growl .
" Send out the bullheads , Pull out the students " Ozpin all but ordered as he grasped his cane , Sending a hard glare into the forests " Call the fourt year teams , We must defend the academy "
He hadn't needed to have ordered such however , As Glynda was already well on the way to fullfilling the order , Even as bullheads roared by the academy , Some weaving past the massive clocktower , All dead set on heading towards any scroll they could pick up within the initiation grounds .

" We have to go " Yang mumbled as she grabbed her sister and drew back as the Wyvern howled to the heavens .
" We have to stop it " Ruby began as Weiss slapped her , Grabbing her by the shoulders and shaking the girl violently.
" Are you stupid , That things would kill us before we knew what happened . we're just lucky it's distracted by the ruin , We need to get out of here " Weiss continued to shake ruby as the girl looked confused .

Yet their actions were cut short as another roar shook the grounds , The wyverns arm punching through one of the walls higher up within the ruins . It was at that same time that they all received a notification on their scrolls that a dangerous Grimm had been sighted and to maintain a safe distance .
Red lightening danced around him as he coated himself with a lightning cloak .
He ducked under a sweeping arm of the wyvern as he backed up the staircase , He had yet to grab a weapon from his inventory , Choosing instead to remain light as the beasts maw snapped forward to bite him .
He rolled to the side as its jaw wrapped around a stone pillar , Turning said pillar to dust as it forced its mouth shut .
' This ... wyvern is going to draw attention ... what can I use that won't make them ask any questions' Erdine thought as he leapt backwards up several stairs onto another floor .
' The headmaster has already seen you make lightning ... Stick to that. Pass it off as altering the lightning you create further ... that should appease their curiosity ' The Greater Will offered its wisdom as Erdine nodded with a tight eye , Ducking under a sweeping tail that cleared the room .
' Got it ... now let's just get to the roof ' He spied the staircase that ascended to the roof , Yet he knew the wyvern wasn't going to make this easy , As it stalked around , Hissing as its jaw opened wide , It stood in the way of his way to the ceiling .

Watching it begin to descend , It's claws curled as it made to squash him .
' Now ' Erdine thought as it was about to slam into the ground , Dodging with a roll that allowed him to roll under its right arm .
It didn't appear to be particularly intelligent as it looked around to find him .
Using its legs as a stepping stone , Jumped off of its leg , Vaulting for the rail of the ascending staircase .
It seemed to realise it's folly at that moment , Just as he landed on the stone steps , He turned back towards it , Making eye contact with the dragon wannabe before sprinting up to the ceiling .
Just before he broke the surface to the roof , He reached into his inventory to pull out one of his all time favoured weapons , Fully intent on sticking to the lightning restriction he had inadvertently placed on himself when showing Ozpin the lightning spear .
As it came into being in his grip , He stuck the tip of his weapon Into the ground and used it to pole vault the rest of the way to the ceiling .
As he soared up to the roof , He made sure to hide the dragon communion seal underneath his armour , Knowing fully well that he'd be observed once he broke daylight .
As he landed , He crouched down with a huff and turned to face the stairway .
' Come on my friend , Let's fell this dragon pretender together ' Erdine thought as he grasped The Bolt of Gransax .
He held the bolt to the skies and roared , Subtly using the dragon communion seal as dark clouds gathered above , Circling above him like he was the eye of the storm .
' The Elden ring is responding to your desires ' The Greater Will intoned as indeed , He could feel the Elden rings energies gather over his body ,Flooding his body with its golden warmth as droplets of rain began to fall from the skies.

She hadn't noticed the rapid change in the weather , Not even as droplets of rain began to fall apon her golden armour.
She watched as her friend raised his strange weapon into the air , Bellowing out loud as a Bolt of red lightning flashed up above .
" COME AT ME YOU FUCKING UGLY BEAST " Erdine yelled out , Easily heard by the group as the lightning above intensified as he lowered his weapon and pointed it at the staircase , And as if it was summoned , The wyvern ascended , Like a prowling beast , It ground its claws across the ground , Knocking a railing off the edge of the ruin as it regarded its prey.
' It should be me down there helping him ' Pyrrha thought bitterly , Yet she watched him stand alone against certain death ,
" Why isn't he running " Weiss uttered , Sure she may not have liked him , Especially after the way he spoke to her the night before , But simply throwing away your life , Why would someone do that.
Their attention was turned away from what was about to occur , As a bullhead suddenly ascended from up above , Ignoring the climbing winds that buffeted its side .
From the opening doors on the side , Glynda Goodwich , Headmaster Ozpin and professor port dropped down by their side .

As Grimm , Ranging from Ursa to Beowolves , Ten In total rose from the pools around the wyvern , Erdine was staring at the beast itself .
Watching as its neck arched and faced a different direction , And following its gaze , His face contorted into a frown as the stakes were raised .
' Oh hell no ' Erdine hissed as he glared at the wyvern , The glow of his golden eye intensifying as the raging flame of the other began to become alight from its socket .
He want about to allow to to divert its attention , As he grabbed a kukri knife from his inventory , Making a show of pulling it from his pouch , He hurled the knife at the distracted wyvern , Watching said knife bounce of the armour on its face as it seemed to remember his presence .
' That's right ... it's me you should have your attention on ' He grasped The Bolt of Gransax with two hands as he centred his balance , Angling the warped weapon slightly as lightning rumbled up above.
' Let's go you fucks ' Erdine mused , Putting a single foot forward .
Yet that seemed to sour his enemies , As the wyvern let loose a roar , Urging it's summoned allies forward .
The Beowolves proved faster than the Ursa , As the first neared , It opened its mouth and leapt at Erdine , However met a quick death as the Bolt of Gransax descended like the smite of a god , Bludgeoning it's head in with the tip of the bolt , Making the innards of the Grimm spray as Erdine was already moving to attack the second Beowolf before the first had touched the ground .
Leaning on his right leg , He bent his arm back and thrust forward with his bolt , Spearing the abdomen of the second Beowolf as he turned to the third who was behind him.
Thrusting low , The bolt speared the ground at the Beowolf's feet , Eager to attack him, It leapt , And was entirely unprepared for Erdine to grip the bolt with both hands and bring it surging upwards , Catching the Beowolf on its surface as he used it to launch the Beowolf into the air over the side of the ruin .
He regarded the final three foes , Two ursa and the juvenile wyvern . Pinning them with a glare as he got into a low stance , Bolt held forward as he prepared for a forward stab.
Lumbering forward , The two ursa took his challenge as they rose onto their hind legs and swept with their bulbous arms .
Bringing the bolt around , Her hand it at the side with both arms as the Ursa wailed down onto the bolt , It's claws rebounding harmlessly off of the blades surface .
' Swing one ' Erdine thought as the Ursa brought back its opposite paw and swept low , Allowing for Erdine to leap over it , His Bolt held overhead before he brought it down on the ursa's outraged face , Bludgeoning the right side of its face as the armour cracked , And as it stumbled back on its hind legs , He landed and thrust into its large belly , Dragging the bolt to the side as he forced its innards to spray outwards.
Standing up as the Ursa fell back , Ashing apon landing on the ground , Erdine stared at the wyvern , Whom in its outrage , Stamped down directly onto the second Ursa who died apon impact under the large Grimm's foot .
' No more games beast ... let's fight ' He sprung forward , Stopping in his movement as one of its wings swung around it in a wide sweep , Allowing him to roll back as dust rose in the air .
He rolled to the side again as it's open mouth lurched from the dust cloud , Placing him below its neck and allowing him to punish the creatures stupidity as he stabbed upwards into the Grimm's neck , Causing it to wail as it withdrew .
It took to the air with a bellow , Regarding him as it hovered and began to circle above , Yet he didn't let it out of his sight as he circled around to face it .
He was prepared for the beast as it made a sharp turn , Hind Legs extending as it's talents spread , And it descended at blistering speeds .
He dove as the legs slammed down where he had stood before , Rattling the tower ruin as it landed in its attempt to crush him .
However after felling many dragons , Of which the very vast majority were a far larger than the wyvern , It was the beasts folly in thinking it could kill Erdine with such a maneuver .
And as he made his way to his feet , He used his chance to hoist his bolt in both hands and stab forward through the back of the wyverns right leg .
It roared in pain , And in retaliation , Raised its tail and slammed down , Forcing Erdine to disengage and leap away .
They watched , Ozpin almost Unblinking as Erdine battled the wyvern .
It swept around in a corkscrew as it tried to flatten Erdine , Yet the teen was tenacious as he hid behind one of the remaining pillars atop the ruin , Rushing out afterwards to punish the creature when it revealed its openings.
That strange weapon of his , That had so easily slain the lesser Grimm , Dealt heavy damage to the wyvern , As Erdine rolled behind the creatures leg once more to stab in the same spot he had earlier , This time producing the desired affects as it's leg gave way , Causing the wyvern to drop onto its stomach .
" He's amazing " Ruby gushed as she watched Erdine sprint around to the wyverns face , Reach back and stab at the armour on the wyverns face .
' Strong ' Glynda mused as she watched the armour on the Grimm's face crack , Pieces clearly falling from the point of impact as it regained itself and rose onto its leg ,Limping before jumping to the air and unleashing a buffet of wind with its wings that pushed Erdine back slightly as it began to circle around .
Yet pyrrha couldn't help but worry , Just as the others began , As the wyvern began to slam its bulk into the foundations of the tower , Causing the building to start to rumble and the more it did so .
It pulled itself from the indent it made , Causing Erdine to stumble as it circled around and did so again.
" Fuck " Erdine mused as the roof began to slant , Stones and rubble beginning to roll to one side and off the side of the ruin " Don't really wanna see how high up this is "
Erdine tracked the circling wyvern as it dove and once more slammed into the side of the tower , By his guess , It had maybe one or two more hits before the whole things gave way .
As a plan came to mind , Erdine clasped the Bolt of Gransax tight as he crouched down low and got into a sprinting stance .
' Say ... how high of a fall do you think I'll be able to survive ' Erdine asked as he watched the Wyvern circle and prepare to dive .
' You have the Elden ring and are a godkin ... I don't a fall of any distance would be able to put you down ' The Greater Will answered as Erdine nodded in response . And as the wyvern began its dive , He pounced , Running at full tilt at the side of the ruin where the wyvern would strike .
" Balls of steel " Yang muttered as the others gasped in fright , Watching as Erdine leapt from the now falling ruin , Falling to where the wyvern had just body slammed the ruin .
And they watched as he descended , Ponting his weapon downwards as the wyvern looked up at its prey , That same prey piercing into its back half way up the bolt of Gransax .
And oh how it released a loud , Ear splitting wail , Dislodging from the crumbling ruin which was now falling under its own weight , And the beast began to rise , Flexing its wings as with a powerful flap of its wings , It ascended into the air at frightening speeds .
" oh my " Port muttered as they entered the clouds above .
The hair follicles on the royal corpse armour flickered violently in the wind as rain pelted the wyvern and himself .
Red lightning flashed above , The rumbling assaulting his ears as the wyvern tried several acrobatic moves in an attempt to dislodge him from its body .
Even as it performed a barrel roll , He remained embedded in its body , Equipping an erdtree dagger , He stabbed into the flesh of the wyvern , Earning another roar of Defiance as he sent the bolt of Gransax to his inventory and equipped a second dagger into his main hand.
As the wyvern twisted in the air , He lurched and buried the second dagger into the muscle of the beast , Pulling the first out and stabbing again , Using his daggers to behind to scale the back of the wyvern .
No matter what it did , It couldn't dislodge him , As he climbed the beast , It spun , Circled and dived , Even as the red Lightning blinded the creature when a Bolt would pass by too close.
It felt itself weakening , As every stab he made to climb caused vicious necrosis built up in the wounds .
It knew something was wrong when it's right wing suddenly weakened considerably , It's eyes flickering to the wing which had its tendons severed , It struggled to flap it's wing , And against its will and to its alarm , It began to descend now that it's ability to fly was taken from it .
Yet it wasn't over , As Erdine clasped the dragon communion seal , Red light ing danced from his body as the air became alive with electricity.
' Ancient dragon lighting strike ' Erdine uttered internally as a Bolt descended from within the clouds above , Striking the screaming wyvern and striking It over. and over , Several times infact as the lightning bolts struck around him , Expanding outward in a star structure .
The skin melted and scorched with each strike , And as the wyvern let out a small yowl , he sent his daggers back to his inventory and leapt from the wyvern into the air .
With the wyvern now below , It glared up at him with its hatred filled glare , It bellowed in rage but could do naught but fall under its own weight .
As he fell , He pulled out the bolt of Gransax once more , Holding it above his head as he fell , Drawing the surrounding red lightning onto the surface of the bolt with several pangs of popping electricity.
He activated the power of the bolt in his grip , Levitating for a moment as it became a spear of angry red lightning , Arcs lurching from the blade and singeing the air around it .
Yet he didn't throw it , Instead , He gripped it with both hands before angling the tip of the spear downwards , Pointing it at the chest of the angry falling beast .
" Perish with a whisper ... dragon pretender " Erdine uttered as he began to fall , The golden vow activating as he was bathed in golden light.
A pulse escaped his body as his speed doubled during his fall , The red bolt in hand releasing as screech as they broke the clouds , The ruin directly below .
He held the spear infront of his body , Angled at his foe and grit his teeth .
" Die now ... bother no-one else "
They looked up as the wyvern fell to the grounds , It's defiant bellow causing some to wince as it was halfway back to the ground .
Yet it was what followed that amazed teacher and student alike , As speeding from the churning clouds , Erdine fell a controlled descent .
Pyrrha felt her lips part as the lightning Bolt held by Erdine entranced her and everyone present .
And like a red streak , A comet falling from the heavens , He fell .
The impact of the two was thunderous , As the lightning bolt in his hand struck the wyvern , It was at that moment that the wyvern was skewered on the remains of the tower , The resounding shockwave of the Bolt of Gransax impacting the wyverns body sent everyone sprawling backwards as the trees were forced to lean away under the superheated pressure .
The wyvern was already deceased , Having been detonated by the bolt of Gransax that sent pieces of the grip splattering across the ruin .
She didn't wait for permission , Nor did she wait on the teachers , As the ash from the wyverns destroyed body rose to the air , She Leapt off the side of the cliff , Landing on the ground below and sprinting to the place the wyvern had died .
' No no. no no no ' Pyrrha plead as she blitzed towards the scene , Worry evident on her features as she vaulted clear over a pillar and onto one of the many bridges.
Groaning , Erdine clasped the Bolt of Gransax , Pulling himself off the blackened ground , Popping the joints in his back as he drew himself to his feet .
' Dangerous weapon, that Gransax made ' The Greater Will rumbled to Erdine , The man couldn't help but agree as he let the tip of the bolt rest on the ground .
' Now you understand why I love it so much ' Erdine chortled as he looked at what remained of the ruin , The singular base level was all that remained , The tower had fallen into the crevasse below , accept for the wooden support which had skewered the Wyvern .
' Indeed ... you have incoming ' Erdine looked to the direction the Greater Will urged him to look in , Seeing Pyrrha muscle her way by a fallen brick pillar .
She spotted him standing , He could see her eyes widen as she rushed over , Her face contorting in very evident worry for his wellbeing .
" Hey Pyrrha , Are you okay " Erdine asked , Watching amused as her face contorted before a frown marred her face .
" Am I okay ... am I okay ... " Pyrrha shuddered and slumped her shoulders and sighed " Let's just get you out of here "
