Once Shoto finally cleared the massive amount of ice from the stadium, the third match of the tournament match was set to begin.
"It's time for the next match! I'm sorry for the long wait ladies and gentlemen that insane amount of ice from the second match has finally been cleared!" Present Mic announced. "Now it's time to welcome new competitors. Turn your eyes to one of our favorite heroine with the long hair, a student from Class 1-B, it's Ibara Shiozaki from the Hero Course and her opponent will be the boy with the electric personality, another hero in the making Denki Kaminari!"
"Excuse me? But why did you call me an assassin? I wish to advance, not take my opponent's life. That's not what a hero does. I only wish to make the most of this opportunity granted to me." Ibara claimed.
"Oh, well, sorry." Present Mic apologized.
"Maybe when this is over, I'll take you out for a bite. It might comfort you after your loss, because this is all gonna be over in 2 seconds, honey." Kaminari said as he started charging his electricity with over a million volts from his hands. "Indiscriminate Shock: 1.3 million volts!"
Kaminari unleashed powerful surge of electricity straight towards Ibara at full strength. Ibara simply turned around and burrowed her thorny vines into the ground that protected herself from the electricity. Kaminari's super move completely changed him into his giggling idiot state, which allowed Ibara to counterattack him. At her command, Ibara immediately sent her vines charging at Kaminari. Her vines ensnared him up and hanged him over the stage, leaving Kaminari immobilized and short circuited at the same time.
"He's immobilized! The winner is Ibara Shiozaki!" Midnight announced.
The crowd is impressed with Ibara's performance.
"Yeah! Way to go for class 1B!" Tetsutetsu cheered.
"Guess he was right."
All Class 1-A students immediately turned their attention to Monoma, who was looking at them with a fervent face from his stands.
"That match really was over in just 2 seconds! I wonder if his real quirk is the ability to tell the future! Hey, wasn't class 1A supposed to be so much better than us?" Monoma laughed tauntingly.
Then suddenly, Monoma received a karate chop to the neck that knocked him out cold from Kendo, who already walked up behind him.
"Sorry about him." Kendo apologized with a smile.
I really hate that guy. All Class 1-A girls thought irritatedly.
"I've seen Kaminari in action. He's super strong." Izuku muttered as he began taking notes on Kaminari and Ibara's match in his notebook. "But Shiozaki's Quirk is something else. And those vines. I wonder if she studied Kamui Woods' moves."
Unknown to Izuku, his classmates were staring at his constant muttering with creeped out faces while Katsuki became silently annoyed by his rival's mumbling habit.
"Maybe you shouldn't plan too many matches ahead." Uraraka said.
"Oh, sorry. It's not too often I get to see the Quirks of people outside our class. Here's what I've got on your Zero Gravity." Izuku said as he showed Uraraka his notebook.
"Is Midoriya always mumbling that much when you guys were in junior high with him?" Selene whispered to Diana and Luna.
"Yeah, pretty much." Luna and Diana replied with sweatdrops.
The fourth match of the tournament match was set to begin as Iida and Hatsume already stood on the field stage.
"Now time for the next match! It's Tenya Iida from the hero course vs from the support course, Mei Hatsume!" Present Mic exclaimed.
Iida was equipping a complex support gear on his back that consisted one part on his legs and another part his back, which directly caught Midnight's attention.
"Hold up! Iida, you can't have a support item." Midnight scolded.
"But she wanted this to be a fair fight. I respect her integrity! It would be an honor to wear this!" Iida explained.
That made Midnight feeling aroused by Tenya's sportsmanship.
"I'll allow it!" Midnight exclaimed.
Iida started charging forward that was boosted by Hatsume's support gear. But Hatsume turned on her mic and stared at Iida.
"Come on, Iida, don't your legs feel even lighter than before? But it's no problem for me to dodge with my…hydraulic attachment bars!" Hatsume said.
Before Iida was getting too close, Hatsume launched into the air with the automatic hydraulic attachments from her backpack and avoided Iida's preparing strike.
Hatsume then activated her zoom Quirk to look at the spectating support courses that were watching her from the stands.
Iida took the advantage of Hatsume's distraction and charged at her again, but Hatsume used her sensors on her backpack that automatically activated her hydraulic attachments to avoid Iida once again. The Auto Balancers on Iida's back effectively allowed him to keep himself from falling and easily altered his course back towards Hatsume.
"My auto balancer makes your movement possible!" Hatsume exclaimed.
Hatsume activated her big mechanical boots with circular devices around the ankles area and evaded Iida by improving her mobility with an instant evasive action. When Hatsume landed on the ground, Iida sprinted forward and tried to attack her again. But Hatsume took out a complex-looking pistol with a funnel-like muzzle and aimed it to release a capture net that suddenly trapped Iida inside.
"And this capture net is compressible and easy to fit in! You can fire up to five before needing to reload!" Hatsume added.
During the course of the match, Hatsume was actually using the opportunity to advertise her support items instead of actually fighting against Iida.
"And all of these items were developed by me, Mei Hatsume, support course prodigy!" Hatsume shouted to the support companies. "Now let me introduce a few more of my babies!"
After ten minutes of cat and mouse passed, Hatsume had finished introducing a few more gadgets and eventually walked out of bounds.
"Uh, Hatsume is out of bounds! Iida advances to the second round!" Midnight announced.
"I can't believe I let you trick meeeee!" Iida yelled angrily.
"Yeah, sorry about using you like that." Hatsume apologized with a creepy smile.
From the Class 1-A strands, Diana covered her mouth to contain her laughing. She then stood up from her seat and walked away out of the stands. That caught Luna, Selene, and Aisha's attention as they turned to notice their friend's departure.
The fifth match of the tournament match was set to begin as Mina and Aoyama already stood on the field stage.
"Well, it's time for the next match! Does that belt have a purpose? From the hero course, it's Yuga Aoyama!" Present Mic exclaimed. "Do those horns have a purpose? Whatever the case, from the same class, it's Mina Ashido!"
"This match is gonna be a piece of cake." Mina laughed.
Yuga planned to make Mina eat her words.
"Come on, Mina! You can do it!" Tsuyu cheered.
"Don't show any mercy, Aoyama! Fight her like you're in one of those video games where everyone's clothes get beaten off!" Mineta yelled.
"I don't know what's gonna happen in this match. Aoyama will probably keep his distance and try to attack with his laser. Ashido seems to be at a slight disadvantage." Midoriya said.
"Begin!" Present Mic shouted.
Aoyama rapidly started firing his navel lasers at Mina, who secreted acid from her feet and swiftly started sliding across the stage to evade the lasers.
"We were on the same team for combat training, so I know all about your Quirk!" Mina said.
"I could say the same about you!" Aoyama said as he kept firing his navel laser beams at Mina.
"Yeah, but I know something else! I remember something you said! I know your weakness." Ashido said as she continually dodged Yuga's flurry of laser beams.
"And here's a…big one!" Aoyama shouted.
Aoyama fired off a large beam straight towards Mina, who dodged the attack with swift speed.
But unfortunately, that attack gave Aoyama a suffering stomach ache.
"Ow, my tummy." Aoyama said.
"Here's my shot!" Mina said.
Mina threw acid onto Aoyama's belt, causing it to melt and dropping his pants in the process.
"My precious belt!" Aoyama exclaimed as he tried to pull up his falling pants.
"Now to finish with...an uppercut!" Mina declared.
Mina delivered a strong uppercut that hit Aoyama right in the chin, sending him knock out unconsciously to the ground.
"Aoyama has been knocked out! The winner is Ashido!" Midnight announced.
"That's girl power right there." Mina smiled to the crowd.
Ashido's Quirk totally had the advantage against Aoyama's lasers. Luna thought. And she has amazing reflexes. It's definitely equaled to my own.
The sixth match of the tournament match was set to begin as Tokoyami and Yaoyorozu already stood on the field stage.
"Now it's time for the sixth match! It's the samurai of attack and defense! From the hero course, it's Fumikage Tokoyami! And his opponent is a student who got into the hero course through recommendations! It's Momo Yaoyorozu!" Present Mic exclaimed.
The match already begun that suddenly caught Yaoyorozu off-guard. Tokoyami immediately called out Dark Shadow to attack Yaoyorozu with a barraging flurry of strikes, but Yaoyorozu made a simple shield and blocked Dark Shadow's attack. Yaoyorozu then tried to create a polearm, but Dark Shadow circled back around and striked her shield that distracted Yaoyorozu from focusing on her Quirk. Dark Shadow swung around again and knocked the shield right off of Yaoyorozu's arm.
Yaoyorozu immediately created another shield and Dark Shadow rammed to knock her back, pushing her out of bounds that quickly ended the match.
Unaware of being eliminated, Yaoyorozu looked confused from Dark Shadow mysteriously retreating back to Tokoyami and started creating a staff to strike him.
"Yaoyorozu has been knocked out of bounds! The winner is Tokoyami!" Midnight announced.
Yaoyorozu's face went utter shock as she didn't even realize that Dark Shadow has pushed her out of bounds. Dark Shadow returned to Tokoyami, who bowed to Yaoyorozu with respect and left the stage.
"An overwhelming victory! Is it possible that Tokoyami's Dark Shadow is the greatest Quirk ever? I think so!" Present Mic shouted.
"Tokoyami's strength is seriously powerful!" Luna commented with a fascinating smile. "Not to mention Dark Shadow is awesome and adorable."
"But I feel sorry for Yaoyorozu." Selene said. "She's clearly upset for her loss."
Luna and Selene looked at Yaoyorozu, who was looking down sadly with strong hints of disappointment because she never got to show off her overall skills.
The seventh match of the tournament match was set to begin as Kirishima and Tetsutetsu already stood on the field stage.
"Time for the seventh match! It's a passionate manly fighter made of metal! From the hero course, it's Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu!" Present Mic exclaimed. "His opponent is a passionate manly fighter made of rock! From the hero course, it's Eijiro Kirishima!"
"Make us proud, Tetsutetsu!" Kendo cheered from the stands.
"These two are practical the same so I can't wait to see how this one will end! Begin!" Present Mic announced.
Kirishima immediately hardened his body and Tetsutetsu covered himself in steel as they charged forward and collided their fists in a striking clash. They began clashing with one another as they kept striking each other with their fists.
Kirishima finally punched Tetsutetsu powerfully right in the face that pushed him back from the attack.
"I thought you were supposed to be tough!" Tetsutetsu roared as he immediately punched Kirishima in the face.
"Funny. I heard the same lie about you!" Kirishima shouted.
Kirishima and Tetsutetsu kept trading their hardened Quirk blows back and forth at each other.
From the stands, Luna, Selene, and Aisha walked away out to check on Diana.
In the waiting room, Diana was stretching her arms and legs just as Luna, Selene, and Aisha entered into the room.
"Looks like someone's being prepared." Selene smiled. "Glad you're not at least nervous about who you're gonna fight."
"Oh please, knowing that punk ass hothead, he won't hold back no matter what." Diana said. "Besides, he ain't no pushover either. I always wanted to fight a raging animal one of these days before becoming a hero."
Then, Izuku opened the door and entered the room.
"Oh hey, Midoriya." Luna greeted. "I'm surprised you're not watching the match."
"I was, but it looks like Kirishima's match is going to drag on for quite a while." Izuku explained.
"Alright, I'm pumped." Diana grinned as she cracked her hands in preparation. "My fight is up next."
"I might ask, Midoriya. You've known Bakugo longer than any of us. Any ideas about his fighting style?" Aisha asked Izuku.
"Kacchan is looking to get the top spot in these games which means he's going to use his full power." Izuku explained. He then pulled out his notebook and held it over to Diana. "But I think I have a plan for you to win. I've written down a strategy that might give you an edge."
"Thanks for your help, Midoriya. But I can't accept your offer." Diana said with a grateful smile. "I was already aware of you taking notes literally on everyone's matches." She gave her friends a thumbs up and a determined smile on her face. "If I'm gonna win this match, I've gotta do it my way. Wish me luck."
Diana walked past Midoriya and headed out of the waiting room.
"Don't worry, Midoriya. I trust Diana's judgement." Luna said as she placed her hand on Izuku's shoulder. "She can handle Bakugo on her own."
Izuku looked at Luna and nodded his head with a trusting smile.
During their match, Kirishima and Tetsutetsu continued breaking through each other's defenses and striking one another repeatedly. Kirishima had just dealt a powerful uppercut and Tetsutetsu then counterattacked by slamming his fist against his face as they both kept delivering powerful blows at each other.
But eventually, Kirishima and Tetsutetsu smashed their powerful fists at the exact same time and they both collapsed from exhaustion at the exact same time.
"That was one spirited battle, but is it over? It looks to me as if both of them have been knocked out but who is the winner?" Present Mic asked.
Midnight approached Kirishima and Tetsutetsu to notice that they were both laying on the ground unconsciously.
"Both fighters are down! A new contest will be used to settle this, perhaps arm wrestling!" Midnight declared.
Many spectating pro heroes were relatively impressed for Kirishima and Tetsutetsu for their inspiring passion and effort.
"While we wait for the two of them to recover will move onto the next round!" Present Mic said.
As Kirishima and Tetsutetsu were being carried off the stage on stretchers to the infirmary, the eighth match of the tournament match was set to begin.
Shoto was watching far away from his class with the rest of the audience. Unknown to him, Amora was floating next to him in her ghost mode.
Izuku, Luna, Selene, and Aisha had retaken their seats as they watched Diana walking her way into the ring. The four of them were certainly curious to see how that match would play out while forming possible outcomes on their mind.
"This match might be the most dangerous one yet." Selene said.
"Knowing Diana, she'll use everything in her Quirk to take down Bakugo." Aisha nodded. "Let's hope she has a plan though."
I have faith in you, Diana. You can do this. Luna thought.
"The eighth match of the first round is about to begin!" Present Mic announced. "It's a guy with an angry face! From the hero course, Katsuki Bakugo! Versus the one I'm personally rooting for, also from the hero course, Diana Asaka!"
The entire crowd cheered as Diana and Katsuki already stood on the field stage.
"Let the eighth match begin!" Present Mic cried.
