A/N: Hello! Thank you very much for all your kind comments. This is super exciting. I am learning french in school so it was awesome to get two comments in that language as well. Hermione and Draco are getting close, just like most of you wanted! I hope you enjoy this chapter and laugh a lot.

Are we ending things?

Pansy screamed as she wached Draco pulling out the chair for Hermione, sitting down on the table next to her, and reading a book together. Draco had never been as nice to Pancy, they had never hold hands, he had never pulled out a chair for her, or done any homework together.

That's why she had cheated on him! Because she wanted to realize how much he loved her, and that he had to be a better boyfriend if he didn't want to lose her. But the opposite had happened!

…..

"Draco, what's next?" asked Hermione to Draco in potions class

"Next, we have to add the spider legs and mix the potion until it turns a green color."

"Can you add the legs while I mix it? It's better if we don't stop mixing."

"Sure"

From the back of the dungeon, Ron watched them work together spitfully. He was supposed to be working with Lavender in their potion, but he was too angry to pay attention to anything other than the bloody ferret and Hermione.

"Sweetheart, you have to add the spider legs now," her girlfriend asked him.

"Yes, yes". Without looking, Ron grabbed the unicorn hair from their table and added it to the potion.

Lavender was staring at him, she was starting to think he was in love with Hermione now that she was dating Draco. She didn't want to believe it but what other explanation could there be?

Suddenly, their potion turned black and started bubbling. Lavender noticed it in time and jumped out of the way, but Ron was too distracted glaring at Hermione's back to realize what was happening.

BOOM!

The cauldron exploded and Ron was covered head to toe by a dark, muddy liquid. All the class started laughing, including Hermione. After a moment, Ron's skin turned pink and started itching a lot. The students laughed even harder.

That was the last straw.

Lavender shouted, "RONALD WEASLEY, WE ARE OVER!"

Ron blinked. His skin itched too much and he barely had time to react. He was about to laugh at his own bad luck, better to laugh than to cry, but before that could happen, a very familiar voice demanded, "Explain yourself, Mr. Weasley,"

Ron looked up. Staring down at him was none other than Severus Snape. He was wearing his usual black clothes and an expression that threaten to kill him.

"It wasn't my fault," he uttered automatically.

"Not your fault?" the old professor spat. "Were you not the one who added the wrong ingrediente? The one that wasn't looking at his own potion as you stir it? The one who did not jump out of the way in time when the cauldron exploded? Which of these things is not your fault, Mr. Weasley? I'd like to know."

Ron was speechless. Snape was even more threatening than usual. By now, his skin had turned redder than his hair. It was itching so much that he wanted it to scratch it out of his body. "Please, professor, I need to go to the infirmary." said Ron with a painful voice.

"Mrs. Brown, take Mr. Weasley to the infirmary. Once he is healed, he'll come back here to clean up the classroom."

"But professor," Lavender complained. "It's his fault this happened because he was staring at Hermione Granger. Why can she take him instead?"

All eyes were focused on Hermione, who blushed. She didn't know if she wanted to feel sorry for Ron or amused that her plan had worked so wonderfully.

"Mrs. Granger is busy doing her potion with Mr. Malfoy."

"B-but…" started to say Lavender, but Snape screamed, "No BUTS, Mrs, Brown. Take now. Mr. Weasley. You have detention this week. And if your girlfriend doesn't take you away now, you'll have detention for the whole month."

Ron look at him with a white face, he didn't know what to say.H e feared that Lavender would refuse to take him to the infirmary, but surprisingly Lavender started walking towards the door, looking at Ron with knife in her eyes, "You heard him, let's go."

Ron dropped his head and followed her out of the classroom, dreading what Lavender would do once there was no one to watch them.

…..

After what had happened in potions class, Hermione started thinking that it was time to end the joke. She had gotten revenge on Ron, just as she had planned, but now things were starting to go too far. She approached the slytherin table to tell Draco that this had to end.

"Hello Draco, can we speak for a moment please?" Draco stood up and followed Hermione. Immediately, Draco's friends prepare to follow them as well. Hermione turn around and sayed: "Emmm, I mean alone, thanks, I won't kill Draco"

Draco looked at them and nodded. Hermione and Draco walked through the Great Hall as all the students were looking quietly at them. They left quickly and headed for the gardens. Hermione chose a nice, quiet spot near the lake. Nobody was there to bother them.

"It's time to finish our revenge, Draco. After all, Ron and Lavender had broken up."

After watching his girlfriend dump Ron in front of everybody in Potions class, Draco knew this was coming. Still, he was not ready for the painful feeling that Hermione's words caused him.

He knew she was right, but he was not ready to let her go. In that moment he remembered Pansy, that was the perfect excuse.

"Well, I'm happy our plan has worked out for you. But remember, I did this for Pansy, not the Weasel, and she's still with that guy. You can't leave me like this, Granger. A deal is a deal."

Hermione looked at him feeling dazed. Technically, Draco was right, she did this whole thing for Ron, but he was on it for Pancy. He had helped her, so now she had to help him back.

Why was it that she felt a lot happier now that she had an excuse to continue seeing him? She didn't think want to question this strange feeling.

"Very well, Draco. You kept your word, so I shall keep mine. We can continue seeing each other."

"Thanks, Granger."

"Yes," Draco whispered to himself.

"What was that Draco?"

"Emmm, nothing." Then, he noticed she had been calling him by his name. Perhaps, he could try that too? "It was nothing, Hermione."

Hermione looked at him for endless seconds, but finally she smiled at him and she walked to the Great Hall to finish dinner. "Coming, Draco?" she turned her head around to look at him with bright eyes.

Draco ran up to catch up to her. Then, he took her hand. "Let's go, Hermione."
