ONE HUNDRED AND FIVE

Casey walked through the firehouse with his bag strapped over his shoulder, the man mentally preparing for the long day on shift ahead of him, as he made his way towards the locker room to not only put away his things, but also find his fiancée.

They had come separately this morning, as Matt woke up to an empty bed when his alarm went off with nothing but a note from his girl saying that she'd gone over to Camila's to look over a few things for the wedding. And it had surprised him, to say the least, that not only did he not even hear her leave this morning, but she hadn't woken him up either, Casey not exactly loving when they couldn't go through their usual routine together. But now he was just eager to see her, Matt offering a few smiles to the first responders he passed before he stepped in the locker room. That same smile growing wide when he came around the corner and saw the love of his life standing in front of her locker.

She didn't see him enter, Gabby off in her own little world as Matt not wasted no time in getting to her, the man taking long strides around the benches before wrapping his arms around her the second she was within reach. His touch pulled her from her thoughts instantly, Gabby nearly melting into him as her back leaned into his chest, the familiar warmth comforting as she felt his forearms tighten around her stomach.

"Good morning." She spoke softly, feeling him press a kiss over her shoulder before trailing towards her neck, the movement not at all appropriate for where they were as his lips started to tickle her skin. "Matt." She warned with a soft laugh, Gabby feeling him smile against her body before kissing her once more.

"I'm sorry, I just missed my girl this morning." He murmured into her ear, his voice causing a rush of security to flood through her body while she continued relaxing back into him. "I wasn't expecting you to not be there when I woke up."

"I know, I know, I'm sorry." She told him, letting her head rest back on his shoulder while placing her hand over the top of his arm. "I woke up pretty early from that message my mom sent, about those churches she found online, and I couldn't wait… So I decided to go ahead over to her house and look at some of them." She explained, her words nearly identical to what she'd left on that note for him earlier in the morning. "I thought about waking you up, but I know we went to bed late. And you just looked so cute sleeping there." She continued on, feeling him chuckle softly behind her before he loosened his grip enough to gently turn her in his arms.

When she faced him, she instinctively moved her arms up to wrap around his neck while his hands stayed on her hips, their proximity causing her to smile while her eyes trailed over his face.

"I appreciate that babe, but next time you can just wake me up." He told her with a similarly gentle grin, Gabby meeting his gaze before she nodded. "But how did things go with your mom?"

"It was fine, we looked at some of the places she found, and talked more about the wedding- Oh, and before I forget, she also told me she'd like to come when we take our engagement photos next week." She spoke, Matt nodding with a soft smile.

"Ah yes, the big day." He teased, knowing well of how Gabby had reminded him of these photos nearly every day for the past week. "That all sounds good though, babe. Is it just your mom, or is your dad coming too?"

"My mom said it would just be her, but knowing Papa he'll end up tagging along too." She responded with a soft laugh. "But I didn't know if since my parents were gonna be there, if you wanted to invite your mom, too." She offered, seeing the grateful look that began to appear in his eyes. "Cause you know, there's nothing more romantic than our parents coming to watch us take pictures." She finished, the two sharing a soft laugh before he nodded.

"Yeah, that sounds about perfect." He joked, before giving her side a soft tap. "But yeah, that's really nice of you, to think of her. I'll definitely see if she wants to come." He told her, Gabby nodding once more as she spoke up.

"Alright, good." She said softly, Matt smiling back at her as he caught her gaze.

"What about the rest of your visit with your mom, about the venues? Did you find anything you think we might like?" He questioned while his hand was moving slowly up and down her side, the look on her face soon giving him an answer before she could even respond, as it was becoming clear to him that she hadn't been too impressed with what she saw.

"They were okay." She eventually responded with a shrug. "I'd probably get a better feel if we actually went and looked at them in person, but they weren't bad.. There just weren't any that jumped out at me." Gabby continued to explain as her thumb moved absentmindedly over the back of her fiancé's neck. "Though at this rate, we might just have to settle for whatever we can find."

Dawson barely got the words out before he was shaking his head, Gabby raising her eyebrows slightly when she felt him give her hips a soft squeeze. "There will be no settling." He reminded her, his words earning a soft sigh from her before he pulled her closer. "We're gonna find our perfect place, I promise." Matt assured her, their eyes locked on one another as she gave him a small, yet somewhat unconvinced, smile.

"I hope so." She replied after a thoughtful moment. "There's just times where it feels like it won't happen. I mean, it's almost July and we still haven't found anything."

"We will." He repeated himself, Matt knowing just how much Gabby was beginning to worry about this one, very big part of their wedding. And he didn't want her to. "We'll find somewhere to get married, somewhere you love… I promise you that. Even if we end up needing to change our date, or move things around. We'll do whatever we need to so you can get married where you want."

Gabby smiled softly as she watched him, her hand continuing to run over the back of his head while his genuine and loving words settled within her, before she leaned forward to give him a kiss.

"I love you." She spoke when they pulled away, Matt grinning softly before stealing another kiss. "But the last thing we're gonna do is change our date… I know I've been kind of stressed about this, but at the end of the day all that matters is us getting married. Wherever it happens. I don't want to push anything back." She explained, watching him take a breath before he responded.

"Yeah… Us getting married is what matters. But we're still gonna find a place, baby." He reiterated, Gabby giving him a shy smile before she ducked her head down slightly. "Even if I have to build it myself." He added on, Dawson laughing softly as she slid her hand down to rest over his chest.

"That's very romantic… And not at all practical." She replied with a chuckle, Matt matching her look before he leaned in for another kiss.

"Doesn't matter, I'd make it happen." He promised, Gabby shaking her head lightly before leaning closer towards him.

"You're very sweet, thank you." She spoke, before pressing her lips into his once more. But this time neither of them made any effort to pull away, Matt tightening his hold on her as they spent this moment making up for some of the time they'd lost this morning.

It wasn't until they heard someone clearing their throat that they finally pulled away, Gabby and Matt separating to find Shay standing in the entrance to the locker room with an amused gleam in her eye.

"Well, good morning to you two." She greeted, Matt letting out a soft huff before he glanced back towards his girl to see Gabby doing all she could to hide her smile, while she reached up to wipe her thumb over his bottom lip. "Dawson, Mr. Dawson… Do you all not do this enough at home?" The blonde continued on while making her way towards her locker, Casey shifting his position to stand next to Gabby while still keeping his arm around her.

"Not this morning, no." Casey spoke with a smug look, Gabby scoffing lightly as she bumped her hip into his, while Shay looked between them with an almost intrigued glance.

"I left the house early this morning, and Mr. Dawson was all sad because I was gone before he woke up." She explained, Matt turning towards her with playfully narrowed eyes before pinching her side slightly, Gabby almost immediately shying away from his touch while a soft grin formed over her face.

"Ah, well that explains it." Shay replied with a chuckle, the blonde beginning to open her locker before glancing back towards her partner. "Where'd you run off to?"

"My parent's house." She answered simply, Gabby rubbing her hand along Matt's back one last time before pulling from his grasp and starting to shut her locker. "We were talking about some wedding stuff, and she showed me a few more churches." She added on, the PIC taking a few steps away from the lockers towards the exit, while Casey moved to quickly put his own things away.

"Find anything you like?" Shay pressed, looking between her two friends before noticing the slight shake of Casey's head while he tossed his bag into his locker, before closing it shut.

"No, not really… They were okay." She repeated, the blonde giving her a nod as Gabby continued to move away from her, Matt hurrying to finish up before following in that same direction. "At this rate, this wedding might just be happening in a shed. But at least it'll be memorable." She added on lightly before disappearing around the corner, Matt shaking his head at her words before he left with her, leaving Shay alone in the locker room to think over what she had said.

She knew her friends were joking, that Gabby was just looking at the bright side of a situation that the blonde knew was starting to stress her out. But still, Shay couldn't help but wish there was something she could do to help her. To help find that perfect place to have her wedding with the man she loved more than anything. She just didn't know what to do.

But the longer she stood here, the more her mind started to turn as she wracked her brain for any possible things she could do, a plan slowly coming together in the woman's head while she finished up in the locker room before heading back out into the firehouse with one specific destination in mind.

And she was about halfway there when she saw Severide coming in through the double doors, the paramedic speeding up her steps to get to him.

"Hey Kelly." She called, prompting him to stop as she jogged the rest of the way towards him, Kelly looking up towards his roommate as they met just a few feet outside the common room.

"What's up?" He asked with raised brows, Shay glancing around before she pulled him over towards the windows, missing the look of confusion that covered his face while she loosened her grip on his arm. "Shay?"

"I have a plan." She said suddenly, Kelly's eyes narrowing as Shay crossed her arms over her chest.

"For what?" He questioned back.

"Dawson and Casey." She answered like it was the most obvious thing in the world, her words leaving him no less confused than he'd been moments ago as he leaned his weight into the cabinet.

"You've gotta give me more to go on, here." He instructed, Shay huffing out a heavy breath before moving a step closer to him.

"They're getting all stressed out about the wedding- Gabby mostly, because they can't find the right place to get married." She started, Severide nodding as a clearer picture began to form in his mind. "The church either isn't right, or they don't have an available date, and they just can't seem to find what they're looking for. And I was trying to think of some ways I could help, when I remembered that Boden might be able to help us." She breathed out.

"You've lost me again, why Boden?"

"Because of that church fire a few months back." She told him, seeing the look of realization appearing in his eyes. "Remember? We had that call to a church and helped all those people. Where the priest basically said if Boden ever needed anything, to call him."

"Ok yeah, I think I see where you're going with this."

"Exactly… And who knows what Boden will say, or if the church is available. But it couldn't hurt to ask, right? And this is Dawson and Casey, I know the Chief would want to help anyway he could." She continued on, Severide nodding in agreement before Shay took a slight step back. "So I'm gonna go and talk to him, if you want to come. You know, as the best man and everything."

"Yeah, I probably should help, shouldn't I?" He spoke rhetorically, Shay rolling her eyes before the two friends began to make their way towards Boden's office.

It took them no time at all to get there, Shay seeing their boss sitting at his desk while he prepared for the shift ahead of them, the older man currently writing down something on the paper in front of him when she knocked on the door.

"Come in." She heard, Shay pulling the door open and stepping inside with Severide following close behind her, the Lieutenant making his way in just as the Chief looked up. "Shay, Severide. Good morning."

"Morning Chief." Shay replied, Kelly offering a similar sentiment while they moved closer to the desk. "Are you busy?" She asked, watching as he looked back and forth between them before setting his pen down.

"Not anymore than usual, what's going on?" He questioned with a notable hint of uncertainty in his words, Shay smiling softly as she pressed her hands down into the top of the chair in front of her.

"It's nothing, really. I just had a question, or a favor to ask, really." She told him, his interest growing as he raised up his eyebrows.

"Alright, what is it?" He asked, Shay drawing in a deep breath.

"It's about Casey and Dawson's wedding… And we could really use your help."

Matt sat at his spot in the common room with an amused look on his face while he watched his fiancée take another bite of food off his plate. She'd been doing this for the past ten minutes or so, taking bites of his lunch, ever since she and Shay got back from their last call. But every time he would offer to go and make her a plate, she turned it down, telling him how she and Shay had gotten something to eat while they were out and she wasn't all that hungry. Though with each bite she took, he knew that wasn't entirely true.

But he said nothing else about it, Matt knowing he could just get them more once she helped him finish the portion he did have, as he took to watching her with a soft grin each and every time she would continue to take a little bit more of his food.

"This is good, who made this?" Gabby asked after another bite, Casey holding back his soft laugh before nodding over towards the couch.

"Cindy did, Herrmann brought it in."

"I'll have to tell her thank you, this food is great." She continued on, Matt unable to stop his laugh this time as the sound gained Gabby's attention, a smile of her own soon appearing over her lips while her eyes bounced around. "...What?"

"Nothing." He answered simply, before leaning over to press a light kiss against her cheek. "You're just adorable, is all."

His words caused heat to rush through her chest, Gabby ducking her head slightly as another laugh left his lips before he moved to kiss her once more, the woman leaning into his touch while he rubbed his hand over her back even after he'd pulled away.

"Dawson, Casey."

Boden's firm voice filtered into the room as both first responders turned to see him standing at the front of the room, the man watching them closely before he waved them over. Unsure of what this was about, the couple shared a look while getting up from their seats, Gabby sneaking one last bite of Casey's food before they went over towards the double doors to meet up with their Chief.

"Hey Chief." Casey greeted first, Boden offering them a small smile as Gabby came to stand beside the Lieutenant.

"What's up, Chief?" Gabby asked softly, the man nodding slightly before he glanced out towards the garage.

"I need you two to come with me for a bit." He replied vaguely, earning confused looks from both of them as Matt and Gabby glanced towards one another.

"Right now?"

"Yeah, right now. We won't be gone too long, but I'd like you all to come with me so we can go look at something." He continued on, though his explanation gave them nothing to go off of as Matt slowly nodded.

"Alright, do you want me to have 81 come along? In case we get a call?" Casey asked, Boden soon shaking his head as his hands rested over his hips.

"You can ride with me, just bring your radio. If you all get a call, I'll get you there." He replied, Matt nodding once more before the Chief glanced towards Dawson. "And Shay is already out in the ambo, you two just follow me and if 61 gets a call, you all will be able to leave from there." He told her, Gabby drawing in an unsure breath before she nodded as well.

"Okay, Chief." She replied, sparing one last glance towards her fiancé before the three of them headed out of the firehouse, Gabby and Matt both beyond eager to see where their Chief was taking them during shift.

"I'm not gonna tell you." Shay said for what had to have been the tenth time as she followed Boden down the street, Gabby huffing out a breath before glancing back out the window. "Boden wants to do this, just play along.. It won't kill you to wait five more seconds." The older paramedic chastised, missing the slight glare she got from her friend as she continued focusing on the road, knowing they were close to their destination.

"Fine… But this is still weird." Dawson huffed out, earning an eye roll from her friend just as Boden started to come to a stop, Gabby's eyebrows furrowing as she looked around at the street they had stopped on before her focus landed on the big church just in front of them. "...Shay, what is this?" She asked, looking back to her partner to find nothing but a bright smile resting over her face.

"Just get out of the rig." She prompted, Gabby breathing in deeply before she followed her orders and got out, her gaze soon finding Matt's as he too was getting out of his vehicle.

"What are we doing here, Chief?" Casey asked as Gabby and Shay got closer, Boden merely shaking his head before taking a few steps up onto the sidewalk.

"You all remember this place?" He asked them, Matt nodding almost immediately while for Gabby it took her a couple seconds to place this building, but it eventually came to her.

"There was a fire here, yeah." Matt answered, before looking back towards the church.

"There was, back in February." Boden continued on, as Gabby gave him a slow nod.

"Looks like they'd done well with the rebuild." Casey commented.

"They have." The Chief responded as he started walking up towards the front doors, Gabby glancing at Matt once more before they followed Boden to the building. "I haven't been here in a while, but I know they've been working hard on getting everything fixed up." He continued to explain while walking up the steps, the man pulling open the door to let Gabby and Matt walk inside.

They were immediately met by a small entryway, one they hadn't really remembered as the last time they were here it had been covered in smoke, Gabby and Matt pausing for a moment to glance around before continuing further into the building.

And while they knew it was an impressive church, nothing could prepare them for the moment they walked in through the double doors and saw what had to have been one of the nicest sanctuaries either of them had ever seen. So much so that Gabby's breath nearly caught in her throat, the woman looking around with the biggest smile on her face while Matt did a lot of the same.

"Wow." She breathed out, feeling Casey reach out to rest his hand over her back while they walked further inside. "This is…"

"Beautiful." Matt finished for her, Gabby nodding in agreement before she looked back towards Shay and Boden.

"This place is incredible." She told them, before continuing to look around.

The ceilings were high above them, covered in stained glass and portraits while the long, wide aisles gave people plenty of room to move, the floor to ceiling windows bringing in plenty of natural light as the building seemed like something you'd see in a movie. And Gabby absolutely loved it.

So much so that it was hard for her to ignore that feeling making itself known in her stomach. The one she'd been searching for, that no other church had given her since they'd started looking.

The one that told her she would love to get married in a place like this. Even if it was bigger than what they needed, this felt like somewhere she could see herself marrying Matt.

But she could never imagine that being an actual possibility.

"Yeah, I was hoping you'd say that." Boden told her after a moment, his voice causing them both to stop as they watched their boss, neither of them sure what to say before Casey finally spoke up.

"...What are we doing here, Chief?" He asked the question that had been on their minds ever since they left the firehouse, Boden's wide smile hard to ignore as he kept looking between him and Dawson, like he couldn't wait to say the words sitting on the tip of his tongue.

"Well… we're here to look at your wedding venue. If you want it."

His words nearly knocked them over, Gabby immediately going wide-eyed while Casey was almost frozen in his spot, the two not sure how to react as it felt like their mind was playing tricks on them.

"What?" Gabby asked first, while Shay let out a soft laugh. "What do you mean?"

"The priest here, after this fire he said if I ever needed a favor to let him know. And if there was ever a time to call in such a favor, it's now… For your all's wedding." He spoke brightly, Gabby swallowing the thick lump of emotion in her throat while Casey moved to wrap his arm around her. "Because of the fire, and them working on getting back up and running, he has some dates free… The last weekend in September is one of them." He explained, Gabby drawing in a deep breath as she felt a few tears starting to prick the edges of her eyes.

"And I told him to book it… This place is yours for your wedding, if you want." Boden told them, Matt unable to stop his grin from widening before he looked back to Gabby, seeing what had to have been a hundred different emotions playing out all over her face. Some of which he couldn't entirely read.

But what he did know is that she was happy. He knew she was so incredibly happy about this, because he was too.

"And I know you all would need to do a proper tour, and look over everything. But I told him to go ahead and put your name down. So if you like this place, and want to have your wedding here, you can-"

His words were cut off by Gabby all but throwing herself towards him as she wrapped him up in a hug, Boden releasing a hearty laugh before he started to hug her back.

"Thank you, Chief." She spoke, the older man rubbing her back before she slowly pulled away. "Really, thank you for this. It's… This place is perfect."

"Yeah, thank you." Casey echoed, before giving the man a hug of his own. "This means so much to us, you have no idea."

"It's the least we could do." He replied as they separated. "And again, if you all look around and decide it's not what you like, that's fine. There's no pressure, but it's an option for you all."

"I love it." Gabby spoke quickly, her words earning laughs from the three people around her as Matt nodded in agreement. "I think this is the perfect place for our wedding." She added on, as she glanced towards Matt who nodded once more before moving towards her to place a kiss to the side of her head.

"It is." He agreed, the smile on her face warming him all the way through just before Gabby's radio went off, the group going silent as they listened to 61 being needed for assistance at a call a few blocks away. "We'll come back and look more later, when we're off shift." He assured her after seeing the look on her face, Gabby nodding back at him before lifting up to give him a quick kiss. "I'm gonna stick around and check some things out, but you all be careful out there."

"We will, I love you." She told him, before looking towards Boden. "Thank you again, Chief. Really."

"Of course, Dawson." He responded, the two sharing one last glance before Gabby and Shay hurried out of the building, leaving Casey and Boden there to look around a little bit more.

"Man, I wish every call was that easy." Shay spoke as she climbed up into the rig after 61 finished up their drop off at Lakeshore, Gabby nodding in agreement while getting situated into her own seat, the PIC adjusting the radio strapped to her chest before reaching out to pull the door shut.

"Yeah, that would be nice." Gabby mused with a slight grin over her lips, while Shay got the rig going before starting to drive away from the building. "But I'll gladly take the easy ones when we get them." She added on, her partner nodding in agreement before they continued on down the road.

There was an easy feeling in the quiet air around them, Shay occasionally glancing over towards Dawson while she drove as she was trying to get a read on her friend, before she eventually spoke up a few minutes later.

"So, I know we got pulled away back there, but what are your initial thoughts about the church?" She questioned, her words causing a near beaming smile to appear over Gabby's lips. "We didn't get a chance to talk much about it."

"It was beautiful." She spoke happily, her hands resting in her lap as she looked towards the blonde. "I've only ever passed by that church before, but the inside of it was gorgeous. And I can't believe they had an opening for the same time Matt and I were wanting to get married, it's just… It's surreal, almost." Dawson continued on, that excited gleam never leaving her eyes. "The second I walked in, it felt like the place Casey and I were meant to have our wedding… And I'm just so grateful to Boden for helping us." She finished, Shay continuing to wear that proud smile on her face.

"Yeah, me too… Thank God for the Chief." She echoed, Shay checking the traffic before she glanced over towards her partner once more, only to be met by a knowing look on her face. "...What?"

"You can quit acting like you had nothing to do with this, you know." She commented, a sly grin appearing over Shay's face before she quickly tried to mask it.

"What do you mean?"

"Don't give me that… I want to thank you, because I know you were a part of this somehow." She countered, her friend merely pursing her lips together while she tried to hide her smile. "You and Severide both, if I had to guess."

"Maybe we were, maybe we weren't." She replied with a shrug, Gabby scoffing lightly in response as her eyes moved out the window. "I'm just glad you found a place you love, though. Because I know how stressed out you've been about finding the perfect spot for you and Casey, I'm just glad it all worked out." She continued on, her genuine words going straight to Dawson's heart before she reached over to squeeze her arm lovingly. "And plus now that you have a church, it just gets you one step closer to your wedding… Though I guess it also means that I'm about to have a lot of invitations to send out soon."

Gabby laughed as her friend finished speaking, the two sharing a soft smile while the PIC continued to rub her arm.

"Yeah, you definitely will." Dawson replied lightly. "Cause I want to get them out as soon as we can."

"Just get me the invitations and the guest list, and I'm on it." Shay promised, Gabby giving her another gentle grin before she nodded.

"You're the best maid of honor ever."

"I know." She responded simply, giving her friend a proud look before she refocused her attention on the road, Gabby taking a similar approach as her eyes moved out to look at the streets around them.

But while she did, she couldn't help but notice where they were in the city, her previous conversation with Shay now running laps in her head as all the talk of their wedding and the guest list had got her thinking about one certain thing. The same thing that had been on her mind for a couple weeks now, ever since she and Matt talked about it. And now that they were over on this side of town, she couldn't help but feel like now was the perfect time to do it.

"Hey Shay?" Dawson asked suddenly after a few moments of silence, her partner glancing her way for a split second with raised brows. "Do you mind if we make a quick stop at the district? Since we're close by."

"Yeah, sure. No problem." She responded, before quickly changing lanes to not miss her turn. "Wanting to check in on the big brother?"

"Yeah, something like that." She replied softly while Shay continued to drive down the road towards the district, the paramedics getting there in less than a minute before the blonde put the rig in park.

"Want me to come in with you?" She questioned while watching Gabby unbuckle, the younger woman shaking her head a bit while climbing out of the rig.

"Nah, that's okay. I'll only be a minute." Dawson answered, Shay knowing best not to push any further before she nodded.

"Alright, well just keep your radio on in case we get a call."

"I will." She replied before closing her door, Gabby grabbing onto her radio with one hand as she started to job up towards the district.

The building was buzzing this afternoon, the paramedic looking around the crowded room until she found that familiar face sitting at the front desk, a soft smile gracing her features before Gabby moved closer.

"Hey Trudy." She greeted, the older woman looking up before matching her grin.

"Hey, there's my favorite Dawson." She responded, earning a soft laugh from Gabby in response. "What brings you by our neck of the woods?"

"I'm actually just stopping by to see my brother, is he here?" Gabby asked her, her gaze instinctively moving over towards the stairs leading up to the Intelligence Unit.

"He should be, yeah. I can go ahead and buzz you up." She told her, Dawson giving her a grateful smile before she started to take a few steps away from the front desk.

"Thank you, Trudy."

"It's no problem." She replied softly, Gabby giving her another appreciative nod before she started heading for the stairs. "Oh, and Gabby?"

"Yeah?" She asked after turning around.

"Congratulations on your engagement." She told her, those words causing the grin on the paramedic's face to grow even wider, before she ducked her head down towards the ground. "Randy told me about it, and then your brother mentioned it. He's so excited for you… We all are, but I just wanted to congratulate you myself."

"Thank you, Trudy." She repeated, the two women sharing one last heartfelt look before Gabby continued her way upstairs.

As soon as she got past the locked gate, the mood in the air shifted somewhat, the chatter and noise from downstairs becoming harder to hear while she got closer and closer to the top step. A few members of the Intelligence Unit started to come into view, before Gabby saw her brother exactly where she'd expected him to be, sitting at his desk looking at something on his computer while the rest of the team worked around him.

"Hey Tonio." She spoke just as she got to the landing, her voice gaining the attention of everyone in the room when Antonio looked her way. "Hey guys." She greeted his partners, the men and women giving her a few quick greetings while she continued towards her brother.

"Hey sis." He told her, his confusion evident as he stood up to give her a quick kiss on the cheek. "What are you doing here?" The older brother asked her as she sat down in the chair beside his desk, Antonio following her lead and returning to his seat as well.

"Shay and I were in the neighborhood, and I just wanted to stop by for a second." She responded with a shrug, though the detective knew instantly that wasn't her only reason for coming here. "And I was kind of hoping you could do me a favor."

"Yeah, there it is." He spoke with a knowing look covering his features, Gabby rolling her eyes slightly while the older man laughed. "I figured it had to be something, what do you need?" He asked her, clasping his hands together on the desk in front of him while his head lulled to the side out of pure curiosity.

"I need you to look up someone's information for me." She requested, her words somewhat hesitant as she knew her brother would certainly have questions as to what she was doing this for.

"...Are you okay?"

That first thought out of his mouth caused her face to soften before she soon nodded, Gabby leaning forward in her seat a bit as she could sense his worry. And, given her history, she wasn't all that surprised by it.

"There's nothing wrong, is there?"

"No, not at all. It's nothing like that." She assured him, seeing his entire body physically relax before he nodded. "I just need to get in touch with someone." She further explained, Antonio looking over her one more time before glancing back towards his computer.

"Alright, yeah.. What's the name?" He asked, Gabby forcing herself to take a deep breath before she answered him.

"Christie Casey."

Antonio paused before typing in the name, his eyebrows furrowing deeply as he looked back towards his sister.

"Casey, as in…"

"Matt's sister." She answered for him, watching as her big brother's eyes fell closed before he let out a heavy sigh.

"Gabby, what is this?" He asked her while lifting his hand up to rub over his jaw, his question only earning another shrug from his baby sister before she spoke up.

"I'm helping." She replied easily, yet vaguely, as Antonio shot her a look.

"And does Casey know you're helping?" He pressed, the look that soon crossed her face giving him all the answer he needed as her head started to hang towards his desk, before she bit down on her lip. "Should you be doing whatever this is, Gabs?" He continued on while looking over her. "I mean, considering you're coming to me for Matt's own sister's address, and he clearly doesn't know you're doing this… You can't blame me for wondering about what all you're getting yourself into. So are you sure you're doing the right thing here?" The man pushed once more, as he couldn't help the uncertain feeling starting to settle in his gut.

"I… yes." She eventually responded, though it wasn't much of an answer.

"You don't sound so sure." He countered, Gabby pursing her lips together before she gave him one strong nod.

"I'm just trying to help Matt, Antonio." She told him, her tone causing his guard to drop slightly before he let out another soft sigh. "This situation… It isn't easy on him. I mean, you know about his mom, and his family. Things haven't been good for him and his sister since then, but this, I'm- I'm trying to help him. That's the only reason I'm doing this." She finished, her firm words telling him how strongly she believed every word she was saying, before he slowly nodded.

"Alright sis, I just wanted to be sure." He told her, before he started to look up what she'd asked of him, Gabby watching him closely as he wrote down a few things onto a notepad before ripping out the sheet of paper. "But please… Be careful." He warned while handing her the address, the younger Dawson giving him an appreciative nod before she stood up to press a kiss to the top of his head.

"I will… Thank you, big brother." She replied, Antonio nodding back at her as the siblings exchanged a few more goodbyes before Gabby started the make her way out of the station, the woman folding up the paper she'd be given before putting in securely in her pocket as she knew that here very soon, she'd be needing it.
