AN: So, this last chapter on the Amphibia part of the story is going to be based on the series finale, so this chapter would contain major spoilers for the show's last episode! I hope you would enjoy this new chapter!

Chapter 13

Amphibia Part 4

The battle for Amphibia continued as Molly and Libby defeated as many Heartless and robots as possible. With the help of the army, the rest of the monsters were quickly defeated.

Once the fight came to an end, Molly and Libby put away their keyblades as they tried to figure out what to do next. Even though the monsters were gone, their friends were still in danger.

"Well, at least we managed to save everyone from the monsters!" Molly tried to look on the bright side of the situation.

"Yes, but Anne and the others are still in danger!" Libby pointed out. "I just hope that they would all be okay!"

"Me too!" Molly agreed. "I'm sure that they would be alright, especially after seeing them fight back. Hopefully, they would be back soon!"

Right as Molly said that, the castle suddenly teleported right in front of them. Surprised by the castle's return, Molly and Libby rushed over to the castle before it could teleport away again. They both hurried up to the top of the castle, and they were both relieved to see that all of their friends were okay.

"Guys!" Molly and Libby rushed over to their new friends.

"Molly! Libby!" Anne and the Plantars embraced their friends in a group hug, relieved that they were both safe.

"We're so glad that you are all okay!" Molly exclaimed.

Soon, Libby took notice of King Andrias, lying on the floor, defeated. He has been badly injured, exposing a bunch of robot parts, but he was somehow still alive.

"What happened to Andrias?" Libby asked, surprised by what she saw.

"Oh, you should have seen Anne's fight with Andrias! She was amazing!" said Sprig.

"It turns out, Andrias has been using these robot parts to stay alive for all these years!" Anne explained.

"Living for a thousand years was not without sacrifice." Andrias let out a weak chuckle, despite the condition he was in.

"Don't worry about Andrias! He should be harmless now!" Sasha assured. "By the way, Anne and I have got to introduce you two to our friend!"

"Oh, that's right!" Anne remembered about Marcy. "Molly! Libby! I would like you to meet Marcy, the friend I have been telling you about!"

It was at that moment when Molly and Libby were face to face with the girl who was being mind controlled earlier. The only difference was that she didn't have that helmet on her head this time.

"Hello! It's nice to meet you!" Molly gave a friendly wave to the girl. "You must be Marcy!"

The girl nodded. "Yeah! That's me! It's nice to meet you too, Molly and Libby! Anne and Sasha have already told me about you and how you battled monsters with these key-shaped swords! I hope this doesn't sound weird, but do you think I can see them?"

"Um, sure!" Libby agreed before she and Molly summoned their keyblades.

Upon seeing the keyblades, Marcy began to geek out over them. "Oh my gosh! This is incredible! How did you get them?"

"Well, it's kind of hard to explain." Molly replied. "Libby and I just need them to fight off the monsters and save our home."

"Wow! It's like you two are on your own RPG quest! This reminds me of my favorite JRPG of all time, Vagabondia Chronicles!" Marcy exclaimed as she couldn't get over how amazing it was that Molly and Libby were on an adventure together. "Do you two think you might interested in playing the game? Just say the word, and I'll lend you my copy!"

Surprised by how enthusiastic Marcy was over RPGs, Molly and Libby shared a confused look with one another.

"Sorry! She usually gets excited when it comes to all this fantasy stuff!" Anne explained with an awkward smile.

With the war over, everyone began to relax. Sprig stepped on to the balcony before he noticed something strange in the distance. He rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't imagining what he was seeing.

"Hey, uh, is it just me, or is the moon getting closer?"

Everyone soon looked up from the balcony to see that Sprig was right. The red moon was slowly making its descent, ready to destroy Amphibia.

As Molly and her friends stepped out the castle to take a closer look, they realized that the moon had a mechanical design to it as it had multiple orange eyes around it, bearing a striking resemblance to the helmet that was controlling Marcy earlier.

"It seems that the Core has activated its final gambit." Andrias said, gaining everyone's attention. "When our civilization was at its peak, the moon became home to some of the Core's pet projects. Among them, a plan to eradicate all life as we know it! By ramming the moon into Amphibia's surface."

"What?" Molly couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Are you saying that this Core is going to destroy itself just to get rid of us?"

"Unfortunately so." Marcy spoke up. "I've been in that thing's head. It is afraid of being irrelevant and it would do whatever it takes to defeat us. If that means destroying an entire civilization, then so be it."

"So, what you are saying is that this thing is a giant sore loser!" Sasha yelled at Andrias.

"Hmm. More or less." Andrias casually replied.

Suddenly, the ground began to shake as everyone did their best to keep their balance.

"An earthquake? Don't we have enough going on?" Polly complained.

At that moment, the ground opened up and Molly and Libby were surprised to see a giant worm-like creature emerge from the ground. They gazed at the creature in fear, but Anne and Sasha seemed to know who it was.

"Mother Olm?" Anne and Sasha said in unison.

"So, how did it go?" the creature named, Mother Olm asked.

"Well, we stopped the invasion, but now it looks like the moon is about to kill us all, so, mixed bag?" Sprig said with a shrug.

"I see. Then the prophecy has finally come to pass." The creature named, Mother Olm said.

"Prophecy? What prophecy?" Libby asked, confused.

"Oh, right! You weren't there when she told us!" Anne realized. "The prophecy said that Sasha, Marcy, and I would save the world!"

"Well, just a minute! The prophecy doesn't necessarily say you would succeed." Mother Olm corrected. "It is not as much of a prediction as it is a humble cry for help. To get the energy you need, you have to tap into the energy that remains in the stones, but if you do that, you might not be able to return home. The choice is yours."

Anne and her friends were shocked by this. If they use their powers, they might be stuck in Amphibia forever. Despite that, they were more than willing to take that risk. Their friends were in danger and they were willing to do whatever it took to save them.

"You call that a choice?" Sasha said with a confident grin.

"Of course will help!" Marcy exclaimed.

"There's no way we'd leave you hanging in your hour of need!" Anne assured. "Now let's get powered up! Ladies, to the music box!"

With that, everyone made their way back to the castle. As they hurried back to the castle, Molly and Libby were left wondering what Anne meant when she mentioned a music box.

"Hey, Marcy? What is this music box that Anne mentioned?" Libby asked.

"Oh, it's kind of a long story. You see, the music box was how my friends and I got stuck in Amphibia. It was all my fault that we were here in the first place." Marcy admitted with a look of guilt on her face. "On my last day on Earth, my parents were going to make me move away. The thought of being separated from Anne and Sasha was just so scary to me, so I brought us all here so we won't be apart again."

Despite how messed up it sounded that Marcy took Anne and Sasha away from their families like that, Molly couldn't help but feel sorry for her. She knew what it was like to leave friends behind after all the times her family moved.

"Marcy, I had no idea." Molly sympathized with her.

"It's okay! Anne, Sasha, and I actually made up. Still, lying to them for so long has caused a lot of anxiety for me." Marcy admitted.

"I can relate to having bad anxiety." said Libby. "Ever since Molly and I left our home, I have been worrying about my pet turtles!"

"Don't worry, Libby! I'm sure that your turtles are fine!" Molly assured her girlfriend.

Before long, everyone entered the room where the music box was. Little did they know that they weren't the only ones there.

Standing in front of them was a newt who was wearing a white robe and had a staff in her hand.

"I see that you have all made it! The time has come!" the newt spoke.

"Who are you?" Molly asked, surprised by the unexpected stranger.

Instead of answering, the newt walked up to Molly and Libby and stared at them in curiosity.

"You must be the new keyblade wielders I have heard so much about!"

Both, Molly and Libby stared at the newt in shock, wondering how she knew about the keyblades.

"How did you-" Libby couldn't even finish her sentence as she tried to process who this newt was.

"I've seen and heard it all!" the newt chuckled.

Anne was the last one to enter the room before she took notice of the newt as well.

"No way! Valeriana?" Anne seemed to know who the newt was.

"Hello, Anne! Are you ready for your final battle?" the newt named, Valeriana asked.

"Oh, heck yeah!" Anne replied, ready to save Amphibia.

"Good! Molly and Libby, you can help Anne and the others as well! Summon your keyblades and I will handle the rest!" Valeriana ordered.

Without any hesitation, Molly and Libby aimed their keyblades at the music box. It was at that moment when beams of light emitted from their keyblades and hit the box, creating two extra gems on it. One of them being yellow, and the other being dark green.

Soon, Valeriana aimed her staff and fired a beam at it as well, enveloping the room in a bright light. Once the light dimmed down, the girls were shocked to see that the gems have given them super forms.

They each had different auras around them as they each had different colored capes and hair colors as well. Anne was blue, Sasha was red, Marcy was light green, Molly was yellow, and Libby was dark-green.

Molly couldn't help but admire her new form. Feeling this powerful with her golden aura reminded her when she became a wraith to save Scratch from the ghost world.

"Wow! This is incredible!" Molly stared at herself in awe.

"I know, Molly! We look amazing!" Libby agreed as she stared at herself as well.

"Indeed! Now, go forth, keyblade wielders, and save Amphibia!" Valeriana smiled.

Both, Molly and Libby looked at one another before blushing at how beautiful they looked.

"I never realized how beautiful you look in your super form, Molly!" Libby admitted.

"Oh, thanks, Libby! You look really pretty in your super form too!" Molly blushed.

"Hey, less flirting and more fighting, you two! We have a world to save, remember?" Sasha called out to them.

Remembering that the world was in danger, Molly and Libby nodded in unison before joining Anne and the others.

"Now, let's go punch that moon in its big ugly face!" Anne said, ready to save Amphibia.

Ready to face off with the Core, the girls flew into space with their friends on Amphibia cheering them on. As they flew towards the moon, the Core summoned robots to fight by its side. If that wasn't bad enough, more of the frog Heartless appeared as well to join in on the battle.

While Anne, Sasha, and Marcy were fighting the robots, Molly and Libby fought back against the Heartless. Thanks to their new forms, Molly and her friends were able to fight back with new powers. Anne used her calamity powers to summon a giant tennis racket and tennis ball that she used to hit at the robots, while Sahsa attacked the robots with a pair of pom poms she summoned and Marcy summoned dice that she threw at the robots, which exploded on impact.

As Molly and Libby had their battle with the Heartless, Molly fired heart-shaped projectiles of light from her keyblade, causing the Heartless to disappear. The Heartless were about to attack Libby before she used her powers to summon a giant turtle shell around her as a shield, protecting her from the Heartless. This gave Libby the chance to counter them with her keyblade.

As the battle went on, the girls noticed something flying towards them in the distance. Upon taking a closer look, they realized that it was an army of King Andrias' robots.

"Leave this to me!" Marcy charged towards the robots, only to trip on a rock floating in space, allowing the robots to fly passed her. "Oh, come on!"

Instead of attacking the group of friends, the robots flew towards the Core as they were pushing back the moon.

"Wait, Andrias is actually helping us?" Libby couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"Wow! I guess even someone evil like Andrias can be free of the darkness and come back to the light." Molly was surprised by this unexpected outcome.

Despite the combined efforts of Andrias' robots, the Core was not going to give up so easily.

"Fools! You cannot stop a god!" the Core yelled as it pushed forward, slowly destroying the robots one by one.

It wasn't long before Anne's friends started to get weak since they weren't used to the calamity powers like she was. With no other choice, Anne knew what she had to do.

"Look, guys! I know what I have to do. I'm going to call upon the power of the stones. I may die in the process, but at least you and everyone else would be safe."

All of Anne's friends looked at her in shock as they couldn't believe that she would suggest such a thing.

"Are you crazy?" Sasha yelled.

"There's no way we are letting you do that!" Marcy wasn't going to let Anne go through with it.

"Sasha and Marcy are right, Anne! There has to be another way!" Molly tried reasoning with Anne.

"Yeah! Molly and I can hold back the Core with our keyblades and think of another plan!" Libby desperately tried to think of anything, not wanting to lose her new friend.

Anne gave a reassuring smile to her friends before she said, "Hey, it's going to be okay! Please, let me do this."

With no other choice, Molly, Libby, Sasha, and Marcy reluctantly gave their stones to Anne before they reverted back to their normal forms. They all hugged Anne in a group hug, none of them able to hold back their tears.

"You'd better come back alive, Boonchuy! I swear to frog, you'd better!" Sasha yelled, rage filled tears in her eyes.

The girls were soon teleported back to Amphibia, where the Plantars met up with them.

"Hey, aren't you supposed to be saving the world?" Polly asked, confused why they are no longer in their calamity forms.

"Anne sent us back! She's going to stop it herself, but-" Marcy was too heartbroken to finish her sentence.

"She said she may not make it." Sasha finished the sentence for Marcy.

The Plantars couldn't believe what they were hearing. The fact that they might not seen Anne again was too much for them to bear.

"We tried to talked her out of it!" Molly started to cry too.

"She wouldn't listen, and now she is going to sacrifice herself!" Libby sniffed.

Sprig was heartbroken when he found out that his best friend was going to sacrifice herself. He wasn't going to let Anne do this.

"We can't let her! Frobo, take me to Anne now!" Sprig soon hopped on Frobo, who had gained a new robot body.

"Sprig, no! It's too dangerous!" Hop Pop tried to stop Sprig, but it was too late since Frobo already blasted off into space.

All the group of friends could do now was look up in the sky, waiting for the inevitable. Before long, the moon exploded, signaling the destruction of the Core. Even though the battle was over, Molly and Libby couldn't celebrate just yet.

They soon took notice of something in the sky that descended back to Amphibia. Immediately, they rushed to where it landed to see Anne, who was weak and lost all color, thanks to her attack on the Core.

"Come on, Anne! You'll be okay!" Sprig teared up.

Seeing Anne in such a weak state was too much for Molly to bear. Unable to contain her sadness anymore, Molly hugged Libby tightly before crying on her shoulder. Libby comforted Molly by hugging her back, but it was hard for her to hold back her tears too.

Despite how weak she was, Anne still managed to smile. "Don't cry, Sprig! It's okay! Saving this world was the best decision I made! My only regret is that I never got to see Love Choice 2."

With her last words, Anne's body slowly faded away, leaving nothing but leaves drifting through the air.

Everyone spent the passed couple of moments crying as they mourned the loss of their friend. Even though they didn't know Anne for very long, Molly and Libby considered her to be a close friend. They continued to cry before hearing a pair of footsteps behind them, followed by a familiar voice.

"What's everyone looking at?"

While everyone else was shocked to hear Anne's voice, Hop Pop was still in morning, not realizing what was going on. "Not now, Anne. We are mourning the loss of a true hero and the greatest kid who ever-"

It was at that moment when Hop Pop realized that Anne was back. Surprised to find Anne alive, Molly and the others joyfully ran to her and embraced her in a group hug.

"But how are you back?" Molly asked, happy to see Anne again.

"I'm having trouble understanding it, myself!" Anne admitted. "One minute, I faded away. The next, I was having a conversation with this all powerful deity who brought me back to life!"

Molly and Libby didn't know what happened to Anne after she faded away, but they didn't care. They were just happy that she was alright.

As the war came to an end, Anne, Sasha, and Marcy decided to use what was left of the stones to return home. Unfortunately, using the stone shards meant that they can never return to Amphibia. The Plantars and everyone else were sad to see their friends go, but knew that it was for the best.

Anne asked Molly and Libby if they wanted to come with her, but they assured that they had their own oneway trip out of Amphibia. Before they left, Anne and her friends took their last moments in Amphibia to say goodbye to their loved ones.

It broke Molly and Libby's hearts, knowing that Anne, Sasha, and Marcy would have to say one last goodbye to their friends. Even Sasha and Grime burst into tears as they said goodbye to each other. It wasn't long before Anne was ready to say goodbye to Molly and Libby.

"Molly. Libby. Even though we haven't known each other for very long, I'm glad to have you as my friends!"

"We feel the same way about you, Anne!" Molly smiled.

"We are going to miss you!" Libby said before she and Molly hugged Anne goodbye.

Saying goodbye to the Plantars was the most painful goodbye for Anne. Sprig was the last one Anne said goodbye to. Holding back her tears, Anne gave her best friend a tight hug before he hugged her back.

"Goodbye, Anne! I'll never forget you!" Sprig started to cry.

"And I won't forget you either, Sprig! Which means that we'll never be apart! Not really!" Anne felt the tears running down her face. "Nothing will ever change how much you mean to me! Not time or space or being worlds apart!"

Sprig wiped the tears from his eyes before he said, "Spranne against the world?"

"Spranne against the world!" Anne smiled before she and Sprig gave each other one last high five.

After everyone said their goodbyes to their friends, Valeriana placed the shards in the music box, creating a portal back to Earth. With one last look at their friends, Anne, Sasha, and Marcy stepped through the portal as they returned home.

The portal then disappeared, causing the music box to disintegrate into dust. As the dust flew into the sky, Molly and Libby gasped when they noticed that the remains of the music box formed together in the shape of a keyhole. Molly and Libby shared a silent nod with each other before aiming their keyblades and firing a beam of light into the keyhole, saving Amphibia.

"Whoa! What just happened?" Polly asked, shocked from the light show she just saw.

"Well, now that Amphibia is safe, Molly and I should be on our way too." Libby explained, despite how much she didn't want to leave her friends.

"I see. Well, thank you for all that you have done for us, Molly and Libby!" Hop Pop thanked as he shook their hands. "We are all going to miss you!"

"We'll miss you too!" Molly replied before noticing a sad look on Sprig's face. She could tell that he was still upset over Anne leaving, so Molly decided to comfort him before she had to leave as well. "Hey, I know how hard it is to say goodbye to so many friends, but it is going to be okay. Anne was right. Nothing would change how much you mean to her. Even if we are all worlds apart, our hearts will always keep us connected."

Grateful for Molly's words, Sprig wiped the rest of the tears from his eyes before he replied, "You're right! Thanks, Molly! I'll miss you, and Libby too!"

After hugging their friends goodbye, Molly and Libby decided it was time for them to leave. They both returned to their gummi ship and took off in search of their next world.

AN: So this ended up being a really long chapter, so hopefully the next chapter won't be nearly as long! Also, fun fact, the part where I wrote about Libby and Marcy talking about their anxieties was supposed to be a reference to the Broken Karaoke short, Ways We Feel Anxious. Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying the story so far, and I hope to publish the next chapter soon!
