Chapter 14

The Boiling Isles Part 1

After they saved Amphibia, Molly and Libby traveled through space in their Gummi Ship once again. Libby noticed a sad expression on Molly's face, and could tell that she still felt bad for her new friends after they had to say goodbye to each other.

"Don't be sad, Molly. Anne and her friends are safe back home." Libby tried to cheer up Molly.

"I know. I just hope that Sprig and the others would be okay without Anne." Molly hoped.

"Don't worry! It's like you said before, even if we are all worlds apart, our hearts will always keep us connected!"

Molly soon smiled, grateful for Libby trying to cheer her up. "Thanks, Libby! I just wish that we could have stayed long enough to learn more about the adventures Anne and the Plantars went on. They sounded pretty exciting from what Anne told us! If there is ever going to be an animated series based on their adventures, I'm sure it would be one of my favorite shows!"

It wasn't long before Molly and Libby took notice of a new world. They landed their gummi ship and got out before taking a look around. Right in front of them was a cliff, that had a nice view of the sea. Sitting at the edge of the cliff was a white house with a crumbing tower behind it. Curious, Molly and Libby stepped forward to take a closer look.

"I've never seen a house like this before!" Molly observed.

"Me neither! And I thought the Mystery Shack would be the strangest house we would find on our journey! I wonder if anybody is home." Libby wondered as she and Molly walked up the steps to the house.

They were about to knock on the door when they noticed the face of an owl on it.

"That's a strange looking owl." Libby said as she leaned in to take a closer look at it.

"Hello!" the owl suddenly spoke with a wide grin.

Surprised by this, Molly and Libby screamed before stumbling backwards and falling on the ground. As they recovered from their fall, they heard the door open.

Stepping out of the house was a witch, who looked to be in her 40s. She had long gray hair and wore a red dress. One of her eyes had a golden color to it, while the other was gray.

"Hooty, what's going on?" The witch asked the owl face on the door.

"We have some guests!" The owl said, keeping his grin.

Once she took notice of Molly and Libby, the witch gave the girls a suspicious look.

"Thank you, Hooty! I'll take it from here!" The witch then grabbed a staff and pointed it to Molly and Libby in a threatening manner, causing them to back away in fear. "Alright, who are you? Were you sent here by the Emperor's Coven?"

"The Emperor's Coven?" Molly repeated. "We don't know what you are talking about. Libby and I don't even know where we are."

"A likely story!" The witch didn't believe her.

"We're not lying! Please don't hurt us!" Libby begged, already frightened by the witch.

"Eda, what's going on?"

At that moment, a Latina human girl stepped out of the house. She had short brownish-purple hair and wore a blue and white hoodie, along with dark grey leggings. The girl stepped outside, and was surprised to see a couple of humans.

"Huh? Who are you?" The girl approached Molly and Libby, but the witch named, Eda blocked her with her staff.

"Careful, Luz! This could easily be a trick from Emperor Belos!"

"Eda, wait! Just look at their ears! They are clearly humans!" Luz explained before helping Molly and Libby back up. "Sorry about Eda! She must have assumed you were part of the Emperor's Coven and just wanted to keep me safe. My name is Luz Noceda, by the way."

"It's nice to meet you, Luz! I'm Molly McGee!" Molly introduced.

"And I'm Libby Stein-Torres! So, where is this place?" Libby asked as she looked around her surroundings.

"This is the Boiling Isles, a region in the Demon Realms! As you have no doubt already guessed by now, you two aren't the first humans to visit this place." Eda explained, gesturing towards Luz.

"I see that you two have a lot to learn about the Demon Realms, so why don't you come inside and I'll tell you everything!" Luz offered.

With that, Luz led Molly and Libby in the house. As they entered the living room, Molly and Libby were left surprised by how big the house was on the inside compared to the outside.

It wasn't long before another witch with black hair and a pair of glasses rushed down the stairs to see what all of the commotion was about.

"Edalyn, is everything alright? I just heard screams outside."

"Yeah! Yeah! It's just some unexpected visitors." Eda explained.

"Molly! Libby! I would like you to meet Eda's sister, Lilith!" Luz introduced.

"Wait! Are you two humans?" Lilith asked when she realized that Molly and Libby weren't witches. "Did you get trapped in the Demon Realms just like Luz?"

"Kind of." Libby vaguely replied.

"Hey, what's going on here and who are these two humans?" A voice suddenly called out.

Molly looked down and was surprised to see a tiny creature. He was a creature resembling a wolf and wore a skull hat with horns on his head.

"Oh my gosh! He's so cute!" Molly let out a happy squeal.

The creatures was taken off guard when Molly picked him up and gave him a hug. "No, not again! Eda, help!"

With a sigh, Libby apologized for Molly. "Sorry about Molly! She usually gets excited when she meets creatures that are adorable."

"Aw, don't worry about it! I reacted the same way when I first met King!" Luz smiled.

At that moment, Libby took King from Molly's arms before putting him back down.

"Whew! Thanks!" King sighed, happy to be back on the floor.

"You're welcome!" Libby smiled. "So, Luz, do you think you can now tell us about the Emperor's Coven and this Emperor Belos?"

"Oh, right!" Luz remembered that she would tell Molly and Libby everything. "It's kind of a long story. The Emperor's Coven is this faction led by Emperor Belos, the emperor of the Boiling Isles."

"I have actually been a part of the Emperor's Coven." Lilith spoke up. "It was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. I even went as far as cursing my own sister just to join the coven."

"You need to learn to let that stuff go!" Eda said, clearly showing that she doesn't have a grudge against her sister anymore. "If there was anything good that came from that curse, I ended up getting this sweet harpy form!"

"Anyway, pretty soon, he would be enacting The Day of Unity, where he would use a draining spell to permanently sap all witches of their magic." Luz continued. "That's why my friends and I have been working to prevent that day from happening."

Hearing this left Molly and Libby in shock. They didn't know who this Emperor Belos was, but knew that this Day of Unity needed to be stopped.

"Luz, I know that we just met, but Molly and I would be happy to help you and your friends stop the Day of Unity!" Libby offered.

"You mean it?" Luz asked, surprised. "Thanks, you two! We would all appreciate the help!"

Suddenly, there was a knock on the front door. As Luz opened the door, her face was filled with joy.

Standing in front of her was a witch with purple dyed hair. She had on a black dress with matching black shoes, along with red leggings.

"Hi, Luz!" the girl greeted before she was caught off guard when Luz gave her a hug.

"Amity! It's so good to see you!" Luz exclaimed.

Seeing Luz hugging the girl like that reminded Libby of how Molly always pulled her in a tight hug.

"Hey, who is that girl?" Molly asked, curious.

"Oh, that's Luz's girlfriend, Amity!" King answered.

It wasn't long before Luz finally let Amity go. She started to seem nervous about something as she shyly looked away.

"So, Luz. I know that we have been through a lot with trying to stop the Day of Unity and everything, but I was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me tonight?" Amity blushed.

"Are you kidding! Of course I would!" Luz exclaimed.

Upon seeing the two girlfriends interact, Molly squealed from how cute they were together. "Aww! That's so adorable!"

It was at that moment when Amity took notice of Molly and Libby. She approached them, surprised to see more humans.

"Hey, you two are humans, aren't you?" Amity noticed.

Libby nodded. "Yes. My name is Libby, and this is my girlfriend, Molly."

"Well, it's nice to meet you! I'm Amity!" the purple haired witch introduced. "Since this is your first time in the Demon Realms, Luz and I might have to show you around just so you would know what to expect. The Demon Realms can get pretty dangerous."

"Good idea, Amity! I remember how intimidated I was when I first came to the Demon Realms!" Luz remembered. "Come on! Amity and I can show you around the village!"

After saying goodbye to Eda, King, Hooty, and Lilith, Luz showed Molly and Libby around the town known as, Bonesborough. Molly and Libby walked around the town to see strange looking monsters, but they all seemed pretty friendly. They both thought that the village would at least be peaceful, but were soon proven wrong when they heard screams in the distance.

Surprised by what they heard, Molly, Libby, Luz, and Amity hurried to see what was going on. They soon realized they were being approached by two of Luz's best friends, a boy named, Gus and a girl named, Willow.

"Gus! Willow! What's going on here?" Luz asked.

"This isn't good, Luz! Emperor Belos has recently taken control over some creatures in order to keep the villagers in line!" Willow explained.

"Yeah! You should have seen them! They are covered in these robes, and you can't see anything, apart from their freaky yellow eyes!" Gus added.

Upon hearing Gus's description of the creatures, Molly and Libby immediately knew that it was the Heartless that were causing trouble.

"I think I know who you are talking about. Don't worry! Libby and I know how to deal with them!" Molly assured as she and Libby summoned their keyblades.

Seeing the keyblades left Luz and her friends speechless, but they didn't have time to question it as they hurried to save the citizens. As they reached the center of town, where the Heartless were attacking, Molly and her friends got ready to fight back against the Heartless.

Just like the Heartless Molly and Libby encountered in Mewni, these Heartless were wizards with different colored robes. With no time to waste, the group of friends charged into battle. Molly and Libby swung their keyblades at the Heartless, while the rest of their friends used magic. Luz was fighting with her glyph spells while Amity was using her abomination magic and Willow was using her plant magic. Meanwhile, Gus kept the Heartless distracted by creating clones of himself with his illusion magic and countering the Heartless with his spells when they least expected it.

In the midst of the battle, one of Molly's freeze spells accidentally hit one of the plants from Willow's spells. This caused the plant to freeze as the pointed edge of the frozen plant ended up piercing a Heartless, causing it to disappear.

"Oops! Sorry!" Molly apologized to Willow.

"No, this is actually a good thing! If we combine our magic, we might be at an advantage!" Willow explained.

Luz liked the sound of that plan. "Good thinking, Willow! Let's give it a try!"

With that, everyone started using their most powerful spells. Molly combined her fire magic with Libby's ice magic, creating a fog that blinded the Heartless. Now that the Heartless were distracted, Luz used a fire glyph on the hands of Amity's abomination. The abomination then raised its hands and attacked the Heartless with giant fireballs, instantly defeating them.

With the Heartless gone, Molly and her friends celebrated their victory now that the town was safe.

"Looks like everyone won't have to worry about those creatures for awhile." Gus noticed.

"Let's hope so! Thanks for the help, Luz! We'll see you later!" Willow waved goodbye.

Once Gus and Willow left, Luz and Amity noticed that the sun was starting to set. Since it was starting to get late, they decided to go on their date.

"So, want to head back to the Owl House so we can get ready for our date?" Luz asked.

"Yeah! I think we both need to relax after that tough battle!" Amity agreed.

Luz and Amity turned to leave when Molly thought of an idea.

"Hey, I hope you don't mind, but do you think Libby and I can join you?" Molly asked. "Libby and I weren't able to go on our date on our last day on Earth."

"I don't mind if you don't, Amity!" Luz wanted to make sure her girlfriend was fine with it.

"Sure! I don't mind!" Amity smiled. "We can make it a double date!"

Later that night, the girls returned to the Owl House as they got ready for their double date. They decided to go on a picnic as they brought some food to eat.

"So, are the 4 of you ready for your date?" Eda asked as the group of friends got ready to leave.

"Yes, Eda! Amity and I are happy to finally go on a date, and I'm sure that Molly and Libby are excited too!" Luz commented.

"Well, don't let me keep you waiting! Have fun out there, kid!"

Eda watched as Luz and the others stepped outside to finally go on their date. After a couple of minutes of walking, Molly, Libby, Luz, and Amity finally found a perfect spot to have their picnic under the stars. Throughout their date, Molly and Libby ate some snacks as they got to know their new friends better.

Before long, all of the food was gone, and Molly held Libby's hand, while Luz held Amity's hand as all 4 of them admired the stars together. As watched the stars with Amity, Luz decided to ask something that was on her mind for awhile.

"So, Molly! I've been wondering. How did you and Libby get together in the first place?"

"Oh, it happened when Libby and I had our first sleepover together! At first, I was too scared to confess my feelings for her, but a friend of mine encouraged me to go for it!" Molly giggled, remembering when Scratch told her to get it over with so she would leave him alone.

"What about you, Luz? How did you and Amity get together?" Libby asked.

Both, Luz and Amity shared a couple of nervous smiles with each other as they thought back to that awkward night.

"Well, Hooty wanted to bring me and Amity together by putting us through a tunnel of love. It didn't exactly go as planned, but everything worked out in the end." Luz explained.

"Yeah! Even we messed up asking each other out!" Amity laughed. "When Luz and I first got together, it was a little intimidating at first, but being with Luz ended up being the best thing that ever happened to me!"

"Aww! That's so cute!" Molly exclaimed. "You two must have had a beautiful friendship when you first met!"

Amity's smile soon faded. "Actually, I was honestly pretty horrible to Luz when I first met her. I was a bully to her and her friends, and she nearly got dissected because I told Principal Bump about her.

Hearing this horrified Molly and Libby. They could only imagine how terrified Luz was from nearly getting dissected. Despite that, they could tell that Luz and Amity's relationship had grown a lot since then and Amity was truly sorry for what she had done.

"If it makes you feel any better, Amity, I wasn't exactly that nice to Molly when I first met her either." Libby admitted. "When Molly first moved to Brighton, this girl named, Andrea gave her a hard time on her first day of school. I could have stood up to Andrea and helped Molly out. Instead, I ignored Molly and even ended up joining the other students in bullying her."

A look of guilt appeared on Libby's face as she tried her best not to cry. Upon seeing how sad their girlfriends were, Molly and Luz did their best to make them feel better.

"Hey, don't feel bad! We all make mistakes, and I couldn't have asked for a better girlfriend than you, Libby!" Molly tried to comfort Libby.

"Molly is right, and I feel the same about you, Amity!" said Luz.

Grateful for Molly and Luz, Libby and Amity gave their girlfriends a couple of kisses on the cheeks, causing them to blush. They continued to look up at the sky before Libby started to get a little worried about Emperor Belos. From what she heard, Belos is supposed to be the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles. There was no doubt that she and Molly would have to be careful when they inevitably face off against Belos.

"So, what's the plan to stop the Day of Unity?" Libby asked.

"It's not going to be easy." Amity sighed. "My mom is actually providing Belos abominations for extra security. The first thing we should do is head over to the factory and stop the production of the abominations. My mom is going to kill me for this, but it has to be done!"

"Hey, whatever happens, I'll be there by your side!" Luz assured.

Amity smiled. "Thanks, Luz!"

For the rest of the night, Molly, Libby, Luz, and Amity enjoyed the rest of their date. With the Day of Unity drawing closer, they all took the time to enjoy their last night before they take on Emperor Belos.

AN: Since the new episode of The Owl House would be premiering in a few weeks, I thought that now would be the perfect time to introduce Luz and the others in this story! Also, since this story is supposed to take place in the same continuity as most of my other Mollibby fanfics, I thought it would be fun to reference my very first Mollibby fanfic, Molly and Libby's First Sleepover in this chapter.
