Part 1

Molly Weasley finished treating a student with explosive diarrhea. Luckily she'd been able to stop it before any more toilets got shattered.
Still, Filch had said some choice words after fixing the leak and cleaning up the shards of ceramic covering the bathroom floor.
Apparently Percy had offered to help but been rejected, something about Filch's pride as Hogwarts caretaker. Mrs. Weasley had to admit it, the old man was a grouch, but he did have a good work ethic. At least he was better than the current defense against the dark arts teacher.
She'd had 12 cases of students showing physical symptoms related to stress and mental problems after detention with her. The worst part was the headmaster seemingly turning a blind eye to her actions. Mrs. Weasley focused her thoughts back on her own work. There were students with broken bones who she could treat fairly quickly as well as burns from potions that were simple enough.
However there'd been more complicated cases like a student infected by acromantula venom. A few students had come in with blindness the day before, and there'd even been a case of dragon pox. If it hadn't been for Tangry Long, a student who'd been training under Madam Pomfrey helping out in the hospital wing, there might've been an outbreak.
At least Christmas break was about to start. She missed spending time with Arthur and it'd be nice to finally have the whole family together in one place. She also couldn't wait to see how everyone reacted to this year's Christmas sweaters. She'd woven in a special spell so they would change to fit everyone after gaining weight from sweets, and change back when everyone lost that weight later. There was also a spell for the sweaters to adjust temperature to the wearer's preferred warmth. The Hogwarts library had some truly incredible books.

Part 2

With finals coming up, Dumbledore's army meetings had stopped for the term. That week Harry felt like he'd been either eating, asleep, or buried in a textbook. Hermione had been able to explain a few subjects, but for the most part he barely understood half the material he was reading. At least Nick was helpful in arithmancy.
Harry never understood why Hermione was always so nervous around exam time, she clearly knew the material. She was the best student in every class, except Herbology, and she still always claimed to be unprepared.
It only got worse throughout the week, and even when finals were done Hermione was still stressed out until she got her A's back. Harry and Ron both got A's in arithmancy. Ron also somehow got a higher grade in Transfiguration than Hermione.
Harry was still trying to wrap his head around that one. Apparently he was not better than Ron in that class. Then again, he'd been thinking about the year Ron had a broken wand.
Harry looked out the window of the Gryffindor common room. Ron was snogging some 6th year, who Harry had to admit, was pretty good looking. He'd been about to head up to bed for the night, when he heard shouting from the hallway. As he listened more closely, the sounds became clearer. A bunch of students were yelling "Diggory!" over and over again.
Hermionie was the first one out into the hallway. Harry was right behind with several other Gryffindors. A parade of Hufflepuffs carried Cedric shouting his name. Maxine O'Flannery stopped to talk to Harry. "Potter, Granger, you'll never believe what happened."
Harry and Hermionie looked at each other. Hermionie shrugged. "When Cedric's being paraded around like that, I'll believe anything."
"He's getting the Order of Merlin first class!"
"He got what!?" Ron tripped over the doorway in shock. The Hufflepuffs kept chanting as Harry and Hermionie helped Ron up.
"Yeah. For taking on Crouch last year and saving everyone in the hospital wing. I'm assuming Mcgonaggall's getting one too." Max sighed. "Wish he'd been in time to save Madam Pomfrey. But he still saved a lot of lives."
"Yeah, he did." Harry looked over at Cedric, a small smile crossing his face as Cedric and the Hufflepuff army turned a corner. "Order of Merlin. That's pretty incredible."
Max nodded. "Yeah. But it seems a little weird they'd wait so long. If the Wizengamot decided to give that award to him, why not give it earlier?"
Hermionie and Ron both looked at each other, Hermionie straining in thought. "Wait, that doesn't make any sense. Harry slew the Basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets and saved Ginny. If Harry didn't get it then, why would Cedric get it now?"
"Well that's-" Max stopped for a moment to think. "Actually, now that you mention it." She kept thinking. "Maybe because Harry's still underage?"

Part 3

Sirius Black sat up from his bed. The medical staff had managed to set up a rune to keep his blood levels close to what they needed to be, but he still needed artificial blood transfusions every day.
He couldn't walk around normally, but he was usually at least able to stand up for a little while without help. Several nurses and doctors had tried everything they could think of, but nothing seemed to fix his curse.
At this point it seemed like the most likely solution would come from a spell to increase his body's blood production. The crazy thing was, this was still better than Azkaban. At least here he could read Harry's letters in peace. It also helped that dementors weren't allowed anywhere near St. Mungos.
Sirius opened a letter from Harry.
Dear Sirius,
I managed to pass my finals and should be able to visit soon. Ron apparently is an expert in transfiguration, even did better than Hermione. I've also been working on some new flying techniques and wanted your opinion on.
Sincerely,
Harry
Sirius shook his head laughing. Ever since getting a letter about the Gryffindor Hufflepuff game, Harry had been talking non-stop about new ways to improve his game. Sirius stopped his thoughts seeing something in Harry's name.
P.S. Cedric's getting the Order of Merlin!
Sirius took another look at the card. No one under the age of 20 had ever gotten that award. Dumbledore had been over 50, and even Prongs had been in his 30's. He and Lily were the youngest to ever get it as far as Sirius knew. He put the card down in thought. Cedric had probably saved Harry's life, so the award was probably justified. Still, if anyone, the award should probably go to Mcgonagall.
Sirius's thoughts stopped when he saw Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks at the door. "Hey Padfoot. How's hospital life treating you?"
Sirius sighed. "Getting better. Really want out of this bed though. Wish I could stand for more than a few minutes."
Lupin nodded. "Can't believe they still haven't found a cure. What did Voldemort hit you with?"
"Still have no idea. I know I should be grateful to be alive at all. But it's…frustrating." Sirius picked up Harry's card again. "Don't know what I'd do without your visits and Harry's letters. Did you bring some pumpkin juice?"
Lupin rolled his eyes, tossing Sirius a brown bottle with a pumpkin shaped lid. Tonks laughed as Sirius took a swig. Lupin took a seat. "I've been looking into that Diggory kid from Hufflepuff. Think we should ask him about joining the order when he graduates?"
Sirius shrugged. "Another member always helps. But I don't want to force someone into it. By the way, did you hear he's getting the Order of Merlin?"
"Huh. Guess it adds up. Mcgonaggall's getting it too."
