Hello there everyone! I'm back with the next chapter for you all. In this one, we've got a nice, happy Dawsey-filled chapter, so I'm eager for you all to read it.
I don't have much else to say. But to keep everyone on the same page, there was a few weeks time jump in this one. It's close to the middle of February now in this story, just so there's no confusion.
Also there are some M Rated moments in this one, so I hope you enjoy that.
Thanks for reading!
ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY ONE
Warmth overtook her as she slowly started to come into consciousness, Gabby letting out a deep groan before letting herself dig deeper into their bed. She couldn't be sure what time it was, but truthfully she didn't care as once she remembered her and Matt had nowhere to be today, she was more than content to just fall back asleep and waste the morning away right here with her husband.
But those plans changed when she rolled over to try and lay next to him, Gabby disappointed to find nothing but room temperature bed sheets next to her, her eyebrows furrowing before she slowly started to open her eyes.
She had to blink a few times to focus her vision, the light peeking in through a few of their curtains telling her it couldn't have been too early as a heavy yawn left her lips, before she was finally able to take in her familiar surroundings.
As she suspected, Matt wasn't in bed next to her, her hand reaching out to rest over his usual side of the mattress before she began to look around more in the hopes that she'd figure out where he went. Though it didn't take long to get her answer, as with one glance over to the corner she found him, Matt currently sitting in the oversized chair they had angled against the wall.
His head was focused down to his phone, while nursing the cup of what she assumed to be coffee in his hand, Matt having yet to notice her alert presence as he continued to read over whatever was in front of him. It wasn't until she stretched her arms above her head that he realized she was awake, a bright grin forming over his features while he dropped his phone down to his chest, his complete attention now on her while Gabby continued to stretch out her tired limbs.
"Good morning." He greeted, taking another sip of his drink before placing the mug down onto the ground.
"Morning." She replied, her voice sounding a bit different due to her stretching as she dropped her arms back down to her sides, another yawn leaving her lips while she adjusted his shirt that was covering her otherwise bare body.
"How'd you sleep?"
"Pretty good… Wish I wasn't awake." She mused, prompting him to laugh softly before he moved his phone to the arm of the couch. "What time is it?"
"A little after nine." He answered, Gabby groaning in response while bringing her hands up to rub over her eyes. "Sorry babe, but you can go back to sleep if you want." Matt offered when he stood up from his seat, Gabby glancing back towards her boxer-clad husband once she registered the movement.
"No, no it's okay. Though I probably won't get up anytime soon." She told him, Matt chuckling back at her as he got to the edge of the mattress. "Have you been awake long?"
"About an hour." He said, his hand scratching lightly over his stomach.
"And you decided to spend that time watching me sleep?" Gabby teased him, his laughing getting louder before he nodded.
"Of course, what else would I do?" He played along, Gabby mimicking his laughter as he shook his head. "But no, I figured it was waiting in here or out there, and I'd rather be with you." He spoke simply, his words bringing a small smile to her face. "And it gave me time to look over a new contract I was sent."
That last statement made her eyebrows raise, Gabby's head falling to the side as she spoke. "Yeah?"
"Mhmm… I think I may have found a new construction job. Helping with the remodel for an old house across town."
"That's great, baby." She replied brightly.
"Yeah, it is. It sounds like the stuff I love doing, and it's good money." He explained further, having her full focus. "Figured we could put almost all of it towards those medical bills, and help get those down." Matt continued on, not missing the way her face faltered. Even though it was just for a moment.
They hadn't really spoken about this much since the hospital, but they both saw the bills. They knew how expensive it had been for her to get help, and that it would be a while before they were out from underneath that debt. And, even if it wasn't entirely her doing, she still felt guilty about it.
"That's fine… As long as you don't mind." She told him, seeing the deep look of confusion that covered his face.
"Why would I mind?" He questioned back softly, Gabby letting out a soft sigh as she shrugged.
"Just cause it's your money." She breathed out, his features softening in understanding before he started to shake his head. "And it's my medical bills."
"It's our money." He reminded her, Matt knowing this wasn't the first time they'd had a conversation like this. And he was sure it wouldn't be the last. "And they're our medical bills. It's us together in all of this. Which means we'll take care of it, together… In sickness and in health, remember?" He added on, pulling a smile from her as her head fell down towards the bed.
"I remember." She repeated, missing the proud look that shined in his eyes.
"Good." He said, leaning his hands down to steady himself against the mattress before he placed a quick, soft kiss against her lips. "I'll tell you as many times as I need to, but this is both of us, babe. I really don't want you to worry about that, we'll get it taken care of, okay?" Matt spoke after pulling away.
"Okay." Gabby told him, the smile returning to his face as he leaned in to give her one last kiss before he stood up and started to walk away from their bed. But she grabbed his arm before he could go very far, his eyebrows raising as he turned around to face him. "Do you have to do anything for your job today?" She asked somewhat suddenly, Matt sensing their topic of conversation shifting while he shook his head.
"Nope, not today." He answered, feeling her thumb starting to slowly rub along the side of his arm. "I'm free until we go to Molly's tonight… What about you, what are your plans for the day?"
That question prompted a wide smile to come to her lips, Matt not bothering to stop a similar one from appearing over his face as she carefully began to pull on his arm, guiding him back down to the bed.
"This." She spoke while he, gracefully, fell down onto the mattress, Casey able to slow his movements enough to where he wouldn't crush her as his body ended up on top of hers, Gabby not wasting any time in placing her lips back to his.
Though this wasn't the same as the gentle movements from moments prior, Gabby gripping the back of his neck while spreading her legs even wider, allowing him to get closer as he rested in between them. His hands were roaming over her, guiding his shirt up above her waist while her bare, warm skin pressed into his stomach, the contact causing her to gasp as she was desperate for his touch.
"Matt…" She moaned when his mouth trailed along her jaw, down to her neck, her husband paying delicate attention to that spot he knew drove her crazy while his large palm moved up underneath her shirt. "Baby-" Her breath caught in her throat as he shoved her shirt- or his shirt, further up until she felt the cool air hit her chest, her body reacting before she could even register the movement as Matt's mouth traveled down until his lips were running over her breast bone.
He had pushed the sheets out of the way, leaving her completely bare to him as her head fell down onto the pillows, Matt making the most out of every moment he had with her. His lips were brushing over her skin, not stopping until his mouth was hovering over her breast, another deep moan coming from the back of her throat when he took her between his lips at the same time he brushed his hand over her center.
"Matt." She panted again, desire evident in her voice as he gently pushed her legs apart even more while alternating his lips between breasts, Matt working her up until he gradually began to move further south. To exactly where she wanted him, his head settled between her legs as Gabby was completely at his mercy. And quite truthfully, she'd have it no other way.
"I've got you." He promised her, those few words sending an intense rush of warmth down her body as Matt soon continued on with what she started, Gabby able to focus on nothing other than her husband once his mouth was on her, Matt wanting to make her feel as good as he possibly could at this moment.
Which is exactly what he did, over and over and over again.
"Hey pretty lady! Another one!" A drunken man called from down the bar, Gabby's face pulling up into a grimace before she turned to Shay, the blonde merely laughing while she tossed the white rag up in her hands up over her shoulder.
"Don't give me that look, I already turned him down once tonight so I know he's not talking to me." She said with a chuckle, Gabby rolling her eyes before she turned around to fill up another glass. "But while you're over there, try and flirt with him a little bit… Get us better tips."
Dawson huffed out a breath, shaking her head before she started to walk past her friend with the fresh beer in her grasp. "Not happening." She responded, lightly tapping her hip against Shay's to get her out of the way.
"Yeah, yeah… Not with lover boy here, I know." She called, not missing the way Gabby not-so-subtly flipped her off before handing the drink off to the customer, Dawson politely ignoring all his attempts to flirt with her as she wasted no time in heading back to Shay. "So, I take it that man won't be your next husband?" She continued to joke when she saw the unamused look on her friend's face.
"God, no." Dawson scoffed, her immediate reaction earning another laugh from her friend. "Not that it would matter, seeing as how there won't ever be a 'next husband'." She added on while coming to a stop against the back counter across from Shay. "I'm a one husband kind of girl."
"I'm pretty sure you're just a Matt Casey kind of girl." Shay corrected, causing Gabby to duck her head down while heat filled her neck. "Which, who wouldn't be with that rock he put on your finger."
The sincerity of the moment began to pass as Gabby let out another scoff, shaking her head back and forth before meeting Shay's eyes.
"What? We both know I'm right."
"Uh huh." Gabby said dryly, crossing her arms over her chest as her gaze moved a few feet down the other side of the bar, where Matt and Severide were currently sitting together, sipping on a few beers and catching up.
She wasn't watching them for more than a few seconds, but in that time it was like Matt could feel her eyes on him, the man looking up and finding her gaze instantly before giving her a warm smile. One that she reciprocated moments later, Casey then winking before returning his attention back to Kelly.
"God, you two really are gross everywhere." Shay spoke up once more, huffing out a quick breath while Gabby looked back at her with a pointed look on her face. But the blonde ignored it, Shay matching her friend's stance before she kept on. "So, since we're speaking of you and Mr. Dawson, and I have no interest in helping Herrmann in the back, how are you two doing?" She asked, Gabby chuckling softly in response. "Got any big plans for Valentine's Day?- Oh, who am I kidding. It's coming up in a few days, which means Casey's probably already planned some extravagant trip to France or England or something. That man always goes overboard." She finished, Dawson already shaking her head in amusement before she spoke up.
"No, no, there are no big plans. Nothing like that." Gabby told her. "We won't be doing anything like that anytime soon." She added on, Shay looking over her for a moment before responding.
"But you guys are good?"
"We are, we're great." She assured her. "We're just trying to save some money, since hospital bills are expensive."
Shay gave her an understanding nod. "Oh, right… For as long as you were there.."
"Yeah, it wasn't exactly cheap. So we decided we'd just do a more lowkey Valentine's Day… We haven't made any actual plans, but we talked about ordering in something and spending the day together."
"That sounds nice, though." Shay encouraged, earning a small smile from Gabby. "And something you'd both like."
"Yeah, it would be… And if that's what we end up doing, it's fine. But I've just been trying to think of something else I can do for him, that won't be super expensive." She confided, the knowing gleam returning to Shay's eyes before she opened her mouth.
"Lingerie." She stated, Dawson chuckling back at her as Shay held her hands up in defense. "What? I'm being serious. Knowing Matt, that's all he'd want. To just stay in and fuc-"
"Shay." Gabby stopped her, causing the older woman to smirk in her direction.
"You can't stand there and tell me I'm wrong." She replied without missing a beat, Gabby having to keep her mouth shut as she knew her friend had a point. "Exactly."
Dawson rolled her eyes once more, adjusting her weight against the countertop while clearing her throat. "Yeah, I've already got that part covered." She told her, Shay smiling proudly while nodding.
"Then I think you've got all you need, Dawson." Shay replied, Gabby parting her lips once more to reply. But Shay continued before she could. "I mean it, Matt will love anything you do… Even if you don't bother leaving the apartment, he won't care. Because all that man does care about is you." She reminded her, seeing her friend's face soften as a gentle smile began to appear over her face. "That bastard was lucky enough to make you his wife, he doesn't need some flashy present or anything like that. Having a nice dinner at home, with you, would be enough for him… Well, that and lingerie."
Gabby laughed again at her friend's blunt words, Shay smirking back at her while Dawson leaned her head to the side a bit before she responded. "Yeah, that sounds more like you… But thank you, Shay. I think you're right."
"I always am." She replied, Gabby not getting the chance to respond when she noticed movement out of the corner of her eye, Dawson glancing over to see Matt and Severide walking up towards them.
"Hey pretty lady." Severide greeted, Shay cackling loudly while Gabby shot him a look before glancing towards Matt, who seemed equally amused.
"You heard that, huh?" Dawson questioned lightly, seeing Matt move a step closer to the bar while she spoke.
"Oh yeah. We definitely did. The whole bar did, pretty lady." He said once more, prompting Gabby to roll her eyes before Shay reached across the counter to tap him on the shoulder.
"Careful Sev, you keep that up and Casey might deck you." She teased, Matt smiling shamelessly before he shrugged.
"Damn right I would." He played along, earning a few more laughs from their friends while he looked at Gabby. "That's my wife you're talking about."
Dawson's grin widened when he spoke, her shining eyes focused on him while Severide made fake gagging noises by his side.
"I'm not sure how you manage it, but you two really get more and more gross." Severide teased, before Shay lifted her hand up in the air proudly.
"I said the same thing." She replied, Kelly smirking before giving her a high five, the two friends clearly amused with themselves. But Matt was paying no attention to them, his bright blue eyes still locked on Gabby. Like the entire world around them stopped, Dawson feeling that familiar warmth move through her system as her bottom lip fell between her teeth, neither of them able to look away from the other.
And Shay and Kelly were starting to notice.
"Alright, Kel.. You and I better get out of here before Dawson mounts him on this bar for God and everybody to see." Shay joked, Kelly smirking while Gabby broke her gaze with Matt long enough to send her friend a glare. "You can come help me stock some glasses."
"I don't work here, Shay." He complained, but followed her regardless after she shot back with an 'I don't care', the roommates soon disappearing down the bar and leaving Matt and Gabby on their own.
"Hi." Matt spoke first, Gabby smiling before she walked towards him, only stopping until she ran into the bar top that separated them.
"Hi babe." She responded, reaching out to rest her hand over his that were already on top of the bar, Matt immediately grabbing onto her hand and rubbing his thumb over her knuckles. "How's your night been so far?"
"Not too bad, you?"
"It's been fine… One too many bachelor parties for my liking, but it's not too bad." She told him while scrunching up her nose, Matt smiling back at her before giving her hand a squeeze. "It's getting late, so the crowd should thin out soon. Give me a chance to help Herrmann in the back."
"If you need my help with anything, just let me know." He offered, Gabby nodding while she felt him rub his finger over her wedding ring.
"You might regret saying that." She said just before Shay called for her help over by the back door, the two sharing a knowing grin before they both headed off towards the stockroom.
Over the next few hours, Gabby, Shay, and Herrmann took care of all the patrons in the bar while Matt stayed close to his wife's side. Especially once Severide ditched them for a red head from out of town, Casey didn't go very far from wherever Gabby was. And, despite the constant teasing from Shay, they both had a great time, Gabby not only thankful for the extra set of hands but also for this time out with her husband and friends.
Before they knew it their night had come to an end, Shay having left the earliest as she'd been here the longest, her exit closely followed by Herrmann's as he'd been ready to get home all night. And with Matt there, Gabby didn't need him to stick around longer than necessary, the Casey's soon the only people left in Molly's as the last few bar-goers had left a few minutes after closing.
"Alright, the back's all locked up." Gabby spoke as she came from the stockroom door, her voice traveling easily through the empty room while Matt glanced up from the stool he'd just put up on the bar. "Do you mind checking out front again, babe?"
"Not at all." He responded, earning a grin from her as he walked over to the front door and opened it, the cold February air hitting him directly in the face once he took one step outside of the bar. His eyes moved around the now empty street to make sure there were no stragglers before he stepped back inside and pulled the door shut, Casey checking to secure the lock before turning back around.
Gabby was now back behind the bar, counting over something before writing it down on the paper in front of her, Matt waiting until she had a break before he spoke up.
"The front is all clear, everyone's gone home." He told her, Gabby nodding his way with an appreciative smile before she went back to what she was doing, Matt taking that as his cue to just wait for her to finish as he pulled out one of the stools that had yet to be put up and sat down.
He stayed there quietly while she went over her last few closing tasks, Gabby occasionally running back and forth from the back room while Casey opted to just stay put and wait for his wife, that time giving his mind a chance to go back to earlier in the night and how much fun Gabby seemed to have.
She was there to work, so she hadn't been able to let loose like she typically would've. But that hadn't stopped them all from having a good time. And it had been like that a lot recently, in the shifts she'd done here at Molly's since deciding to come back to work the bar a few weeks ago. She had fallen back into her rhythm, Gabby having a great time every night they came out, and after everything she went through that was all Matt wanted for her.
"Matt? Baby?"
The sound of Gabby's voice pulled him from his thoughts, Matt straightening up a bit when he realized she never came back into the bar, his eyes moving over towards the stockroom door before getting up from the stool.
"Coming babe." He called back, Casey taking long strides until he pushed his way through the swinging door, his eyes scanning the room and soon finding his wife standing in front of one of the larger shelves.
"Hey, sorry… I couldn't reach to put these up there." She spoke sheepishly, an easy smile coming to his face as he continued his path towards her.
"It's fine, that's what I'm here for." Matt replied, Gabby fighting off her smirk as he took a few stacks of glasses from her and carefully placed them up on the top shelf.
"Really? I thought we kept you around just cause you're nice to look at." She joked, Matt shaking his head in amusement while putting down the last stack.
"It doesn't hurt." He responded before he turned towards her, the two suddenly realizing just how close they were standing as Gabby's loving brown eyes focused on him.
"Thank you." She told him, their chests nearly brushing against each other while her eyes moved over the face she loved so much.
"You're welcome, baby." Matt replied, his voice soft due to the lack of distance between them as Gabby offered him another smile, before slowly pushing herself up to place a kiss to his lips.
"And thank you for coming with me tonight." She added on, letting herself kiss him once more before pulling away. Though Matt didn't let her go far as he placed his hand on her hip.
"Of course." He spoke with that signature Casey grin. "There's nowhere else I'd be."
The smile on her face started to grow, Matt matching her look before she moved her lips back to his, their innocent kisses not staying that way once Gabby started to push into him, pulling moans from the back of his throat while deepening their movements. Casey was having a hard time keeping up with her, the sudden desperation behind her actions hard for his brain to process. But that didn't stop him from kissing her back with just as much love and desire, his hands clinging to her hips while she took control.
The air was hot around them, Gabby pulling her body back from his just enough to reach between them and grip him through his jeans. He began to choke on the minimal air still in his lungs, the force of her movements causing them to separate as Matt's head fell backwards, Gabby smirking as she tightened her hold on him before leaning forward to press hot kisses over the skin peeking out the top of his shirt.
"Gabby…" He got out, the tone in his voice telling him all she needed to know. That he had to know she was sure before this went any further.
"I've wanted you all night." She whispered against him, feeling his entire body tighten as those few words ignited something deep within him, especially when he felt her hands starting to undo his pants, Matt's entire mind full of nothing but his wife when she opened his zipper and slid her hand down into his boxers.
"Fuck, baby." He muttered, a satisfied smile gracing her lips while she began stroking him, Gabby able to feel him growing harder underneath her touch as he finally looked back down at her, finding nothing but an intense desire in her eyes. A look he wasn't surprised to see.
It was something he'd noticed a lot from her recently, that Gabby couldn't seem to get enough of him or their intimate time together. And, if the location of her hand was any indication, that hadn't changed tonight either. Even after the few times they were together this morning, then again when she joined him in the shower, and now where they were clearly headed down that road again; she never stopped wanting to be with him. And as her husband, he wasn't complaining about it one bit.
Though it wasn't just about the sex, no matter how mindblowing it was each and every time with her, but rather how carefree and secure she seemed to feel. That she felt comfortable and content enough to let go, and enjoy every moment they had with each other.
She was just happy, and that made him happy.
Certainly right now, as he could only imagine what she had in mind while she picked up the speed of her strokes, Matt ultimately having to reach between them and stop her before things ended prematurely.
A soft laugh came from her, but she said nothing, Gabby's lips finding his again while she pulled her hand out from his boxers, before she started shoving them and his jeans down his hips. Matt followed the pace she was setting as he got her own pants pulled down in record time, the two moving frantically while he turned them until her body was pressed up against the wall for support. When her back rubbed against the exposed brick she found herself grateful for the thick sweater she'd chosen to wear, Gabby reaching out to touch any part of him that she could while he kissed her roughly, the intensity behind their movements only making them more and more ready to be together.
She felt his hand move between them while he kissed her, a low whine leaving her throat when he began teasing her through the thin fabric of her underwear, before he pushed it to the side out of the way.
"You okay?" He asked softly, reason breaking through lust as he wanted to check with her one last time, the smile on her face giving him enough of an answer before she spoke up.
"I'm fine.. Please, baby." She practically begged, her heavy breaths turning into moans as he rubbed over her center, Gabby shuddering in his hold before he moved to grab ahold of himself, his mouth returning to hers just as he sunk into her.
She cried out against him, the immediate pleasure that coursed through her causing her leg to come up and hook over his waist, Matt pausing momentarily until he knew she was ready before he began to move.
He started slow, giving her the chance to get used to him in this position they didn't do all too often. But that didn't take her too long, Gabby soon encouraging him to move faster while biting down on his bottom lip, her body rubbing against the unforgiving wall as he thrust into her. It was only moments before he was nearing a frantic pace, the two giving themselves completely to the other as their moans and cries filled the otherwise silent bar, Matt and Gabby caught up in the immense love they had for one another while they finished this day the exact same way they started it.
Together.
Casey blew out a heavy sigh as he walked up the steps to his apartment, the snow falling down around him making him move a bit quicker as he was more than ready to get inside and spend the rest of this Valentine's Day with his girl.
When their day started late this morning, he had no intentions of leaving her as after a few discussions they'd decided to just spend this holiday lounging around their apartment. And at first, that was exactly what they'd done. They woke up, had breakfast in bed courtesy of Matt, took a bath together, then followed that by curling up together on the couch and watching movies.
Which is where Matt had been up until about two hours ago, and where he intended to stay, until he got a text from Severide asking him to come by and help him put up some shelf in his apartment.
Casey ignored it at first, as he had no interest in being away from Gabby today. Not with it being Valentine's Day, and especially not to go and do manual labor. It was something that could wait, so he left it be. But after he mentioned to Gabby what Kelly wanted, and she all but insisted he go, he reluctantly decided to head over there.
He didn't really understand Gabby wanting him to leave, but he let it go as he knew this day wasn't technically much different from any others, at least not as their plans were concerned, Matt promising to go and be back quickly while she stayed home. But unfortunately, he'd been gone a lot longer than he wanted. He had a good time with Severide, and Shay, but being away from Gabby for a couple hours certainly wasn't how he expected to spend his first Valentine's Day with his wife.
And now that they had the rest of the night together, he was determined to make up for it.
The feeling of snow falling down on him pulled him from his thoughts, Casey letting out another sigh as he shivered, before unlocking the door and pushing it open. When he stepped inside their home, it was about as quiet as he'd expected, aside from some soft music playing in the background. He wasn't entirely sure what she was listening to, but it sounded nice, a small smile coming to his face while he shut and locked the door before hanging up his jacket.
"Babe?" He called out, getting no response as he slid off his boots before heading further into their home.
With each step he took he began to realize how dim the room was, his brows furrowing in a bit of confusion when he started to see the candles set up over the counter, Matt unsure of exactly what he was walking into. But when he turned the corner and saw more candles strewn across the room, his grin widened, Matt continuing to look around until his gaze stopped at their table by the bay windows, where he found Gabby waiting for him.
Just like their apartment, she looked completely different from when he last saw her, his wife now wearing a black dress that he knew very well. One that hugged her in all the right places, her hair resting down over her shoulders while she held two glasses of wine in her grasp, her own smile growing as she caught his eye.
"Hi baby." She greeted, Matt changing his path towards her while he continued to take in everything around him. "Happy Valentine's Day." She told him, Casey letting out a soft laugh as he got to her and placed a kiss on her lips.
"Happy Valentine's Day." He murmured against her, kissing her once more before he pulled back, taking his glass of wine as he went. "...What is all this?"
"It's our first Valentine's Day together." She answered simply, her hand coming out to rest over his arm while he looked her up and down.
"Ahh… And I take it Kelly was in on this." He commented, the pieces coming together in his mind as Gabby bit down on her bottom lip, in an attempt to hide her smile.
"I had to get you out of the house somehow." She settled on, Matt releasing another laugh before bringing the glass up to his lips to take a sip. "I know it's not much, but I wanted to do something for you. I made your favorite meal, and figured we could have a nice dinner together." She continued on, Casey sure he could feel his love for her growing even more as she spoke. "I'm sorry it's not more. I know you're always doing these big, amazing things for me and I-"
She was cut off with a dazing kiss, Gabby needing a few seconds to fully register what was happening before she began kissing him back, his arm wrapping around her waist in an effort to pull her closer as they two stayed connected until air became an issue.
"Please… don't apologize. For anything." He said between breaths, their foreheads resting together momentarily. "This is perfect. You are perfect." Matt said almost in a whisper, that bright smile then returning to her face. "I love this so much, thank you."
She rested her hand over his cheek while he spoke, her thumb tracing along the lines that formed beside his eyes when he smiled before she started to nod back at him.
"You're welcome." She murmured back, her heart completely full as he turned his head to press a kiss to the inside of her palm.
Casey wanted to stay in this moment, but he also knew he wasn't necessarily dressed for the dinner Gabby had prepared, Matt kissing her skin one last time before he took a slow step back. "Do I have time to wash up?"
"Mhmm." She hummed. "It's finishing up right now."
"Alright." He told her, taking another sip of wine before placing the glass down on the table. "I'll be back right.. I love you."
She smiled towards him, Matt placing his lips to the side of her head and then starting the walk back to their bedroom, Gabby just barely getting those same words out before he disappeared down the hallway.
He got ready quickly, spending all of ten minutes in their room as he showered before getting dressed in a dark red button down and a pair of dress pants, Matt making himself as presentable as he could in the short time he had, before getting back out to Gabby. And while he'd been gone Gabby finished their meal, Matt walking out to find the food already sitting out on the table while his wife walked towards him.
"There you are, you ready to eat?" She asked.
"Absolutely." He spoke brightly, the two sharing another smile before heading for their seats. Casey pulled the chair out for her, making sure she was settled before sitting down at the head of the table, where they could be close together.
And over the next hour, the couple did nothing but enjoy one another's company, as well as the incredible meal Gabby had made, both wanting to savor the time they had together. It was the perfect way to end their day, that thought not lost on either of them as Matt held onto Gabby's hand on top of the table.
"This really was amazing, babe." He said once they finished their previous conversation, Gabby giving him a soft grin before taking a drink of her wine. "Truly might've been the best food I've ever eaten."
An amused laugh escaped her lips, Matt grinning at the sound while she placed her glass back down onto the table. "Somehow I doubt that, but thank you." She replied, Casey wearing a knowing look before he lifted her hand up to his lips and placed small kisses to her knuckles.
"Thank you for tonight." He whispered, leaning closer to the table while Gabby's admiring eyes focused on him. "I loved it so much, I love you so much." He continued, letting his kisses trail down to her wrist before he stopped himself. But he never let go of her hand, Gabby's palm now resting over his cheek as he leaned into her.
"I love you, too. And you're welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed it." She replied just as quietly, running her teeth along her bottom lip while she thought over the next words running through her mind. "...Though the surprises for you aren't over."
His ears perked up at the statement, Matt kissing her wrist one last time before pulling back to get a better look at her. "No?" He questioned, his head falling to the side while Gabby slid her hand down to his chest.
"No." She repeated. "Just give me twenty minutes."
Casey swallowed the lump beginning to form in his throat before he nodded, Gabby winking softly at him before she stood up and walked past him, her hand trailing along the back of his neck as she went in the direction of their bedroom. Once she was out of sight he took a few seconds to gather himself, Matt not entirely sure of what she had planned for him. All he did know was that he was going to like it.
Realizing he shouldn't just sit here and wait on her, he eventually started to clean up the mess from dinner, since Gabby had gone through the trouble of making all this wonderful food for them. He cleaned all the pots, pans, and silverware, putting away the leftovers in the fridge before wiping down the counters and table, Casey taking his time with all of it as he didn't want to rush whatever Gabby was getting ready for.
But eventually there was nothing left for him to clean, Matt then blowing out a few of the candles before heading over to the couch and sitting down, the man only there for a minute or two before he heard their bedroom door open from down the hall.
"Matt?" She called, Casey clearing his throat before he spoke up.
"Yeah?"
He got no response, Matt's eyes glued to the hallway entrance when she came around the corner, his mouth going dry at the sight of her and what she was wearing. Or rather what she wasn't wearing.
She had on a set of lingerie he didn't recognize, but would never be forgetting now, the red dress- if you could even call it that, completely sheer and ending just at her hips, with a lace pattern over her breasts. Then there were a matching pair of underwear, but even from his position across the room he could tell they covered nothing, Matt's eyes focused solely on her as he took in his gorgeous wife.
"You're… So damn beautiful." He breathed out, Gabby smiling shyly before she walked away from the wall towards him, Matt's pants already beginning to feel a bit tighter as he got a better look the closer she got. "So, so beautiful." He continued, reaching out for her the second she was within reach before she climbed down onto his lap.
Her legs were straddling his waist, Casey having to bite back a moan at the pressure he felt below his belt while his hands moved over her hips, the almost satin-like material feeling incredible against her skin as he looked her over once more before meeting her eyes.
"You are the most gorgeous person in the world." He never stopped his praises, the sincerity in his voice sending shockwaves through her body as she knew she had never loved anyone as much as she did the man in front of her.
"I love you." He spoke up once more, pressing his lips to hers before she could respond, their deep and intense movements nearly knocking the breath out of her as he gripped her hips tightly, Gabby then wrapping her arms around his neck while grinding down onto him.
"I love you, too." She got out between kisses, Matt hardly giving her the chance to breathe while they battled one another, his desperation igniting something in the pit of her stomach as she knew that whenever he got like this, she was in for a night of blissful, indescribable pleasure.
And she had every intention of giving that to him too as his mouth moved from hers down to her neck, Casey unable to get enough of her as his lips traced over her skin. Across her chest, over her shoulder, lingering against the visible scar for a few moments before he continued back up her neck and jaw until he met her mouth once more, the two moaning and panting as heat continued to build between them.
"Matt…" She cried out while pushing down against him, just his name giving all the explanation he needed as he knew it was time to move things to the bedroom, before they spent their entire Valentine's Day with Gabby bent over this couch. Though it wasn't a terrible idea.
But for the occasion, he knew they needed to change locations, Matt giving her one last bruising kiss before he shifted to the edge of the couch, keeping Gabby's weight on top of him as he pushed himself up. A soft sound of surprise left her lips as she hadn't expected the movement, but he kept a strong hold on her with his arm wrapped around her back, keeping her up off the floor as he stood in their living room.
She wrapped her legs around him to keep close before he started to move across the floor, Gabby laughing softly as his other hand came to rest underneath her while he carried her to their bedroom, his lips staying on any part of her that they could as the two of them were eager to get back to their room and spend the rest of their Valentine's Day showing one another just how loved and cherished they truly were.
And how they always would be, for the rest of their lives.
And there we have another one. I know this chapter was a lot of Dawsey being together, but I figured after how rough life had been for them lately it was warranted. And you all always seem to enjoy those chapters, so I hope you liked this one too.
I'm looking forward to hearing your alls thoughts, thanks again for reading and I'll see you next time!
